  • (For age, i'm thinking somewhere in the late twenties to early thirties? Maybe they were roommates in college and they're still friends?)

  • (holy FUCK i'm a total nut for timothee i cry anytime i think about call me by my name ok i'll start the thread now)

Nash was pacing in his room on a call with one of his gang members. He was their newest edition so he asked a lot of questions. "No... what the hell Drake? No, you're doing it wrong." He snapped. Nash had never invited someone in their gang who had never done any kind of drug before. He didn't expect the boy to last long at all. "Separate it into thin white lines. use something similar to a credit card, like, with that kind of edge." He tried to explain as best as he could before his roommate got home. He'd never Patrick what kind of shit he does. He had a big crush on the soft kid. Nash would do anything to get on his level. If it meant secrets, he'd do so. He wasn't about to let the person who sleeps in the same apartment as him know what he'd capable of. "Yeah, your nose will hurt for a while. Get over it. I gotta go now, bye." He hung up with a sigh and sat on his bed.

  • (ME TOO aghh great movie)

Patrick walked down the hallway to reach the apartment that Nash and him shared. Fumbling for his keys in his jacket pocket, he finally pulled out the long lanyard as he reached the door. He heard Nash's familiar voice through the door, but couldn't make out what he was saying. Pat unlocked the door and soon after kicked off his shoes. "Hey I'm back!" he called, "Who was that on the phone?" he inquired soon after as he made his way to Nash's room.

  • Nash was glad that Patrick was home, but it could've been at a better time. "It was just a coworker. She's new, and she has a lot of questions I guess." He lied. He always told Nash he worked in a retail store, but it was in the back where Patrick couldn't find him if he stopped by. What a great liar he was. "How was your day?" He asked, getting his phone on the charger. He looked at Patrick as he waited for a response.

  • "That's cool." Patrick shrugged, not very interested in Nash's boring retail stories. "My day was brutal, we were totally swamped." he complained, he loved working with kids, but the daycare he was employed at had business booming lately. Pat plopped onto Nash's bed with a big huff, his back was killing him. "One of the little demons kept jumping on me." He whined, trying to alleviate the pain on his spine. "How was your day?"

  • Nash started giving Patrick a shoulder massage once he heard he had a bad day. He was protective over him as much as he hated to admit it. “My day was okay. That girl who was on the phone with just started today. I had to mentor her through everything. It felt like I had to be there for ten years.” He complained. Nash yawned. “It’s Friday though. I need this weekend. You want to watch a movie tonight?” He suggested. Nash was a big movie buff. He had a movie for any mood he was in. “What kinda genre are you feelin’ tonight?”

  • Patrick gave a relaxed exhale as soon as Nash began to knead his shoulders. He laughed at the comment, because Nash seemed to have been working at that retail store for forever. "Yeah, you're a seasoned veteran, you old man." Pat would tease as he enjoyed the massage. "I have that dinner with my parents remember? Maybe we can do it after I get back?" the 28 year old groaned, clearly not pleased with his family plans. "Speaking of..." Pat moved under Nash's hands to be able to check the clock, "SHIT! I need to go!" he howled before darting off the bed and grabbing his keys. "I'm sorry I'll see you later!" he called as the door slammed behind him.

ooc i'll have his dad be his abuser, should i fast forward to him coming home all beat up?

  • (Yeah, let’s go ahead and skip to there)

Nash was bored out of his mind while Patrick was gone. Why couldn’t the newbie call now? He got on a group chat with everyone else in the gang and just updated him self on what everyone was talking about. The new kid seemed to be having the time of his life. Nash put his phone away and watched some TV while he waited for Patrick to come home.

  • Patrick quietly unlocked the door to the apartment. He was moving slower than usual, a small visible scar under his right eye was almost covered by his long hair. Some dried blood could be seen under his nose. He saw Nash on the couch watching tv and tried to avoid eye contact. The 28 year old moved quickly to his bedroom, not even mumbling a greeting.

  • Nash watched Patrick come in slowly and mysteriously. “Hey.” He greeted, only to get no reaponse. Nash got up, knowing something was wrong. He was always bright and happy, but he wasn’t now for some reason. “What happened? Are you okay?” He followed Patrick and stopped in his doorway. Nash was worried prime time about him. He always seemed to be getting along with his family, so did someone jump him? He had tons of questions.

  • Patrick slowly lowered himself to his bed, slightly wincing as he did so. “I’m fine.” He muttered, back turned to Nash as he tried wiping the dried blood from underneath his nose. “I just want to get some sleep.” The brunette sighed as he ran his hand through is long hair.

  • Nash bit his lip, pondering if he should actually leave him alone. He decided he should, but that didn't mean he wasn't still worried. "Sleep well. Okay? You're free to watch a movie with me if you want to. We don't have to talk about whatever happened." He told the boy. Nash wasn't happy about being kept secrets from, but he had a big secret of his own anyway. He couldn't have any input.

  • “Yeah, thanks.” Pat coughed out as he got up to grab comfy clothes from his dresser. He balanced himself on the piece of furniture as he rubbed his side, clothes hiding the bruising underneath. He felt bad being so cold to Nash, but he would rather not rope his friend into family problems. He gave a broken glance to Nash, hoping the older boy wouldn’t see the cut under his eye, or the blood from his nose. “What movie are you watching?” He tried to be interested, but everything hurt.

  • Nash was walking off when Patrick spoke again, so he returned back to his spot in the doorway. “It’s just TV for now. We talked about watching a movie earlier though. I wasn't sure if you still wanted to.” He responded. Nash looked Patrick up and down. He wish the boy was more open and honest with him right now. He understood why he didn’t want to though.

  • Patrick felt even worse about canceling their movie plans for the night. "Okay, we can still do that." He replied as the Nash appeared in his doorway. He quickly changed his jeans to a pair of red flannel pants before heading toward the living room. He brushed past Nash, accidentally hitting his side on the boy's arm. He let out a soft whine, his side was on fire. He hoped the boy didn't hear, but he probably did. Pat continued to the couch where he slowly sat down, waiting for Nash to join him. "What movie did you have in mind?" He spoke softly, not making eye contact.

  • Nash shrugged, turning on Netflix. “Does a comedy sound good? Or are you too sad?” He teased. Nash looked at him for a bit, his smiling fading into a frown. “You can tell me anything, you know.” He told him. “At least look at me. I feel like I did something wrong.”

  • Patrick looked up at him, tears welling in his eyes. “I don’t want to bug you with it. It’s my problem...” He let out a small sniffle, he felt so weak. “My dad beat me...” He whispered under his breathe, realizing he shouldn’t keep secrets from his best friend. Tears began to stream down his cheeks. Patrick put his head in his hands and continued to cry, he felt helpless, he wasn’t too sure how to even treat the wounds his drunken father had left.
