  • Heatherbloom's tail flicked, a little nervously, as she stood at the edge of the Clan's temporary camp. Logically, the lilac tabby knew that she had been picked to lead this hunting patrol ... but she was having trouble choosing who would accompany her. Everycat else seemed so busy with ensuring that Sunningrocks was safe for the kits and elders. And, especially since the, uh ... delicate nature of Blackstar's announcements that morning, tensions had been running high.

    The long-legged she-cat cleared her throat, wishing her mouth didn't feel this dry. "Um... Would anyone like to try our luck with some prey? Surely something survived, birds at least."

    "I would...but I can't." Those words hurt, but she knew there was no possible way that she could hunt. She could still help out with making dens, but there was no way she could jump the way she had before she got pregnant. Hunting was her favorite thing to do, and especially now with the forest being burned down, she wanted to help feed her clan. But, she would have to settle with doing other things.

  • Heatherbloom's ears pricked upwards at Flameseeker's decline, and the she-cat shook her head vehemently. There was no reason for her to have expected the younger warrior - well, queen, as it stood - to put herself forward. "I understand, Flameseeker. You have to take care of yourself, if not for you then your kits. I'll try and bring you back something." She meowed kindly, fluffing her fur up in an attempt to look cheerful.

  • ASPHODELPAW ;;

    -----> "Ill go." Asphodelpaw said simply. Not a queastion. Coming upon the two mollies, he walked right past Heatherbloom to wait by the entance of the make-shift camp. There he'd sit and wait for her to gather more cats. Far away from all of them. He would rather hunt on his own- or rather, rather hunt far away from everyone else - but he wasn't about to pass up his clan duties just for somethign petty like, oh I dont know, having his entire life torn to shreds by all these ungrateful baboons.

    Nothing worth being petty about, surely.

  • "Thank you Asphodelpaw! We'll wait for one more." Heatherbloom called after the blue-eyed tom's retreating form. Oh, StarClan. Out of all the possible volunteers, it had to be him. Not that she was ungrateful! The lilac warrior was just a little nervous about being around the grumpy tom. She sent Flameseeker a look that simply read help, unsure of how she should play this.

  • Thank Starclan Flameseeker declined hunting. Being pregnant and trying to hunt were two things that did not mix, but Lambtuft didn't have to intervene as she probably would've had to with a couple other cats who had previously been pregnant. The former leader approached on tired paws, jaws parting in a large display of a yawn. Dipping her head to Flameseeker, Heatherbloom and...Asphodelpaw. Lambtuft's heart broke for the suspended medicine cat, ears pulling back against her head as she aimed to gently bump heads with Asphodelpaw, if he even would let her come in that close. She knew that...she knew that the demotion weighed heavy on the boy, no matter how hard he tried to hide in.

    "Room for one more?" Lambtuft inquired softly, hazel eyes finally leaving the medicine cat to focus on Heatherbloom. Lambtuft wasn't exactly the best hunter, but she was a warrior now and so she had to learn how to hunt, sooner preferably rather than later.

    “Need to stretch my legs, this stupid burn or not. I’m going too!” She commented, brushing past Lambtuft happy to see her out and about. The young molly was almost half way to being a warrior herself, it was something she prided herself on, the growth he’d experienced.

  • Lambtuft arrived next, earning a warm look from Heatherbloom as the alabaster warrior went to check on Asphodelpaw. Good, he probably needed a friend right now. When Lambtuft turned back towards her, the lilac warrior nodded her assent. "Of course, Lambtuft. Glad to have you along." Rustpaw's voice earned a surprised look from Heatherbloom, attention turning towards the apprentice.

    "You'd better be careful with that burn, Rustpaw." Heatherbloom meowed to the apprentice, voice edged with a good-natured warning, her feathery tail twitching. Really, the gingery she-cat shouldn't be heaving the makeshift camp, but Heatherbloom wasn't sure that the hard-headed apprentice would listen to her.

    Rustpaw grinned brightly. "It's too stuffy to stay back... I'll be careful of course. I'm quite sturdy, right Lambtuft?" Merely moons ago, she had been afraid she couldn't walk properly, the scars along her spine forever a reminder of that. But all in all, she was quite the hardy feline. Stubborn, reckless, and no regard for herself getting hurt; she cared greatly about others so she couldn't bear not trying to help.
