  • She hadn't learned what she'd wanted to. Her time in the Ruins had been so short, hardly long enough for anything, but at least she'd learned how to run an obstacle course. That wasn't much, but it was more than she'd been doing before, and it was mostly sheer determination that got her through the whole ordeal. Niko wished she could have had more time there, because while the desert hadn't been pleasant and some of the people were a bit callous, it was a valuable eye-opener, experience she couldn't get roaming around BlizzardClan all day. But she understood it was better that she wasn't there now, considering the general attitude toward BlizzardClan. It...almost made sense, really, that they'd turn their backs on this place, since one of their initiations to get into the group involved betraying a former alliance. Didn't matter now.

She still hadn't spoken with her father, and didn't plan to until he stopped pressing at the bond, attempting to urge communication. Niko did feel a bit guilty about it, but she had to establish a sense of autonomy, which couldn't be accomplished if she caved in to answer his demands. So she generally avoided him, and instead spent time exploring her abilities. Niko wasn't at the stage of pushing her father into rivers with wind anymore- she could lift herself over a distance, and recently, she'd even started accidentally picking up some of the thoughts of other people. That was incredibly invasive, so she'd work on it.

At the moment, though, Niko was simply trying out her finer control, sending leaves in a dancing spiral along the ground, chewing at her cheek, blue gaze intensely focused. After a few seconds, they scattered in several different directions, and she huffed. It shouldn't be so difficult to lift up some leaves when she could -somewhat- easily do the same for herself. "I doubt that will ever come in handy." Unless they needed someone to -for some reason- sweep up all the leaves. In which case, she might be able to manage it. Might. "Stupid leaves." She kicked a few of them, though they didn't go far.

    INFORMATION

  • She rarely practiced her own powers and perhaps she should but there was a lingering fear in the back of her mind about them. Especially where they had come from to begin with so she held off on attempting any such feat. Perhaps in her future she would attempt to do so but for now she would allow for them to sit dormant inside of herself. As she came forth and watched the leaves do their dance her ears pulled to the side as she heard the voice speak up when they were scattered about the air. The princess allowed her head to turn in the direction of the other and she had come to realize that she did not know her name. There had once been a commotion about someone's daughter but she did not know that this was whom Narukami had been talking about. So instead the teen merely walked forward, tails shifting slightly against her legs. "Well, that is the norm isn't it? Powers will hardly be useful if you don't nurture and grow them. So I would advice the continue practice of them unless you wish to continue to be useless in that area."

Never felt so sweet, you pass the key unlock my heart

Kady’s interest had peaked when she saw leaves dancing in the air in the distance. At first it stemmed confusion… for she did not feel a single breeze in the air today. It’s not until she walked closer to investigate to learn that it was Niko’s doing. The saber listens patiently to Val speak before she nods her head in pure agreement. ”She’s right, you know. With practice comes perfection.” Kady herself was still considered a magician, at least that is how she was raised with powers. When she found out her abilities she was categorized into the field of ‘battle magic’ where her powers could do damage and help out in fights. It wasn’t uncommon in the magician world, but after spending time with many other types she’s come to learn that she was really the only physical magician she knew. Manipulating leaves though… did that mean Niko had earth based magic? Was she someone who Kady would classify as a botany magician, dealing with nature and encouraging growth or possibly even death with plants? Or was this some sort of physical magic as well, where she could manipulate the wind?

It was all very intriguing to the hedgewitch. ”It’s also nice to see you around, kiddo. I hope you’re doing well.” It was casual conversation, but something she genuinely meant. Last time she saw Niko she was storming away from Narukami. She’s not sure if their relationship has been fixed yet, but it was nice just to see the female around now.

You and my best friend, we cowboys and angels

  • Rosemont couldn't foresee Niko betraying them, or causing any harm to his fellow BlizzardClanners. That was why, when she returned, he hadn't been surprised. Obviously, he had been glad to see the child, as he had been worried for her wellbeing. Most children, however, were rebellious at a certain stage in their life. Perhaps now was that time for Niko. Rosemont wouldn't have been shocked. He had undergone such a stage in his youth, and it had greatly affected his time in the Deadlock Gang. While he had been one of the leaders, some didn't look up to him or respect him as others did. It didn't irk him in any way, considering he had been one of the youngest leaders to ever run the Deadlock Gang. He didn't expect anyone to take him seriously given his age. That, of course, meant nothing now. He was well over two years old and resided in the position of deputy. Many took him seriously and respected him. How he had gotten to this point was beyond him, especially since he hadn't seen himself in a position of power for some time.

He had been meandering throughout the territory, unaware of the trio that had formed not far from where he limped along. When he heard their voices, he eventually hobbled forward in hopes of finding out who they were. Curiosity killed the cat, as the saying went. As he approached the three females, he couldn't help but grin upon seeing Niko, glad to see her around. Since he was often with her father, he hardly spoke to her, much less saw her around camp. Rosemont didn't understand their bond, but he often saw how much it affected Narukami, even if no words were spoken aloud. He was beginning to read the male more accurately now, especially with the time they spent together.

Rosemont eventually focused on what Niko had been doing, though was a bit confused upon observing further. He knew she had abilities, but he supposed he had never seen them be used. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. It takes time 'nd practice, like they said," the lanky wolf reassured her with a grin and a wink, smoke billowing from his maw. He sat back on his haunches, idly chewing on the cigar that sat between his lips. "How ya been, kid? It's been a while," Rosemont inquired, his grin only growing further. His tone held a somewhat teasing tint to it, though he obviously meant no harm.

  • Aiden still had to discover all his powers. He'd discovered The Sight easily enough, when his dead parents ahd come to him to apologize for abandoning him. He'd been devastated to find out then been dead...but then he got angry. Angry that they'd left him and then tried to make amends only after death. They didn't seek him out until they felt so guilty in the afterlife about it. They didn't want to leave loose ties back in Agrelos and now he was suffering from it. But that was the only power he'd discovered and truthfully he'd only seen spirits. He hadn't explored the rest of the powers.

He padded forward, taking a seat beside Kady. "Any power is useful, once you know how to use it. I'm sure somebody can help you! Kady has powers, maybe she'd know how to control them," the child hummed softly. He was 9 months old now...almost full grown. And he was still as hopeful and immature as always. Eventually he'd grow up, but that would take some time.
