  • Great. How did she go from being a creature everyone came to respect to a creature everyone hated? Nothing like that had ever really happened to Minerva before. The only one who really hated her was Mingan. Everyone else in BlizzardClan came to love her and respect her.

She didn't want to travel anymore. She could do that another time.

Huffing, the kitsune made her way through the forest, her nine tails lashing behind her. I'm not going to let others bring me down. I'll laugh in their faces! BlizzardClan is my home and it always will be, even if I'm not holding a position! I'll keep healing, and proving myself!

She stopped at the very edge of the island, glancing down and taking in the view. The lake, the stone boats going up and down. Nothing had really changed, had it? Well, not territory-wise anyway. It seemed Aurelio was more respected than she was. But that wasn't a bad thing in her eyes. She just had to be careful not to impede on Valaerya's work.

Laying down with a small sigh, Minerva continued to glance down, lost in thought.

  • Narukami was very familiar with the transition between the chosen and the black sheep. The first two years of his life he had been the scion of his family, known to the rest of the village as a clean professional who had a hand in relief efforts whenever a natural disaster inevitably struck. He had been respected for his abilities and his position in life, until, of course, the one decision with Taema stole the rug from beneath his feet and the roof from over his head. His current position in this abomination of a body was due to his brother's petty grudges and sense of revenge, even though Narukami had always known Touma wanted to be the primary heir instead. He'd got what he wanted, didn't he? What need did he have to meddle in Narukami's mind and force him into this beastly form?

Regardless, he would not allow it to disrupt his duties, and while on an incredibly routine patrol, he spotted Sundance- Minerva, as she was called now, lying down at the edge of the island. He hadn't spoken with her since before she returned, and he hoped that Aurelio would abandon his notions of revenge now that he had his mother again. "Is it strange to be back?"

hatred was a strong feeling, one that arcane had never experienced within his clan. he was lucky to have been surrounded by ones who loved and adored him. the only true animosity he had faced was with anti-clanners, as he used to have many enemies before this. not that he missed them, and in fact, he was much better off in a place where many didn't recognize him

the canine had followed the kitsune quietly through the forest, his footsteps quiet and methodical. he was a little worried about her, despite knowing next to nothing about the situation. besides, he was a caring, compassionate creature, and he figured his experience as a leader and medic who had to console the distraught would be helpful.

the canine stopped, and was about to say something, before noticing narukami. he then sat besides her at the island's edge, his heart pounding a little. carefully, he adjusted his position, then sat down.

"i may not know what's going on with you, but if you ever need someone to talk to, i'm here.' he simply stated. it was a cheesy line, sure, but what else could he say?

  • She had been so lost in thought, the voice of Narukami startled her, and she fell off the edge of the cliff. However, she soon returned airborne, yellow dappled wings flapping and taking her back to a little ways from the edge. A sigh left her maw. "A little. When I first came here everyone was friendly towards me and respected me for who I was. Now it seems everyone hates me because I didn't inform Aurelio that I nor Butter--or, uh, Yuuki as you might know--was alive." Minerva did leave out one little detail--that her wife's child, Valradin, had been informed before Aurelio had. But she left that out purposefully, for obvious reasons. "I didn't expect so much outright hatred, but...I suppose I deserve it. I'll have to work hard to earn the respect I once had."

Another voice resounded, and her gaze landed on...Arcanesecret, was it? A small smile flickered on her maw. "Thanks. It's nice to have someone caring around here."

Unlike these two, Leif was of a different opinion. She stood wholeheartedly with Aurelio's view of hatred and disgust for the former medic. How could a mother be so selfish as to put their child in the absolute agony of losing their parent and then not jump to cut that pain short at the soonest possible opportunity? He was just a boy, a boy whose childhood had been stripped away the day Yuuri and Sundance had died. Though scars would still remain, he would have had a chance to live out the rest of his childhood had she maybe come back sooner. But no. Instead, she joined the enemy - willingly. She knew her boy was out there, alive somewhere, and probably suffering at the loss of his mother, but instead she chose to stay away. And now she wanted to redeem herself in the eyes of her Clanmates by working hard? She had already made her impression on dear Leifsdottir here, an immovable impression.

"How are you doing?" She would ask as she approached. She didn't want to give the other a metaphorical pat on the back and tell her that 'no, we all like having you here, minerva', when that simply wasn't true. At least not for Leif. Justice had not been given to Aurelio. Her expression, as usual, was indiscernible.

  • If Rosemont had the ability to read minds and thoughts, he would have disagreed with the female. What she believed of herself, and the relationship she had with the clan, was not at all what she perceived. Hatred and loathing did come easily to some, but with his own interactions in the group, he didn't think anyone could outright hate someone. Narukami, of course, was an exception to that, but even so, Rosemont didn't believe his boyfriend loathed anyone in BlizzardClan. If he did, it would have been more obvious, considering his own nature. The lanky wolf couldn't hate Minerva for what had happened. She had, after all, been murdered. Even if she had been brought back to life somehow, he couldn't blame her for not returning to her home right away. The place he had considered home was long gone now, in another world, another dimension, but he didn't think that even if he had the opportunity to go back, he wouldn't.

From what he observed of her, she was rather pessimistic. It was arduous for him to comprehend her views, considering he was an optimistic individual, with a positive outlook on life and his clan. He, of course, didn't know her completely. Rosemont had known her from her time as Sundance, but people altered. Death could change anyone. He had undergone it himself, though obviously it was secondhand and not first.

As the lanky wolf approached the scene, he regarded those who were already there. Narukami, whom he eventually took a spot beside. Arcanesecret, someone he didn't know very well despite the other male being a paladin trainee. It was his own fault for being so stagnant in BlizzardClan. He was determined to make himself known more, though. And finally, Leifsdottir, another he didn't know extremely well, though better than the second. He found her odd, but didn't judge. Everyone had their own personality and characteristics. Hers were simply more blank. When he settled his whiskey gaze on Minerva once again, he parted his lips to speak to her. "I don't think anyone hates ya, ya know," the deputy attempted to reassure her, offering a crooked smile that was obviously altered by the cigar between his lips. "And besides, no one deserves to be hated, unless ya really fucked up I guess.. But, you ain't one of those people," Rosemont added on in a somewhat thoughtful manner, hoping that he didn't sound too foolish in his own statements. He wasn't the wisest of individuals, but he tried to be for others' sakes.

  • Her ears caught another voice, and she looked towards the one she didn't know too well. "What does it look like? I'm doing horrible. The tables have turned." she spoke, her voice nearly an angry snap. But she withheld herself. The kitsune took a few deep breaths to calm down, before Rosemont spoke up. Ah, good old Rosemont. He hadn't changed a day, Minerva noted. "Well...Aurelio hates me. That black-and-white stranger I met hates me. Valaerya hates me. I think it's safe to say many have some level of resentment." the ex-medic trainee stated bluntly. "Still, uh...thanks for the kind words. It's much appreciated."

  • "Hate is a strong word to use. I have resentment of you because of abandonment. But I do not hate you." Why would she waste hate upon someone that had little contention within her life? The only thing she wished was that she gave Aurelio time to heal and that was all. Often the teen came off as harsh and she would easily correct those without so much as missing a beat. It was just how she reacted to things she supposed. Now if one ever saw her hate someone then well, that would be a much bigger display then cold indifference. The vulpine like creature moved forward with ease as she laid eyes upon Minerva, the former Sundance who had returned to Blizzardclan. Her tails shifted and wrapped against her left side as she took a seat and merely she watched on for a moment before she decided to speak up. "I could also say I pity you but then you might take that the wrong way. It's not meant as negative pity but that word seems to spark up rough waves."

  • The voice of Valaerya nearly made her jump, and an unsettling gaze flickered in her eyes. Pity? "Don't bother. I don't deserve pity." Why would she even need pity? Sure, she was kicking herself in the ass for what she did to Aurelio, but it was just like her thought process before. She hadn't thought of what other BlizzardClanners thought of her--why start now? She was her own independent creature, with a heart beating strong and full of love for those who were close to her, and respect for those who respected her back. "Besides, if you have resentment of me, that's fine. My parents were the same way. I'm staying far from Aurelio for now, and maybe one day we can...reconcile." Doubtful. "But I guess I should just push forward."

The girl's void expression wouldn't move as the other snapped at her, only further solidifying Leif's dislike for her. If one wanted to go about 'working hard to earn respect', then this definitely was not the way to go about it. "I apologize if I caused offense."

Was she really sorry? Hell no. But honestly, Minerva didn't seem very compliant right now and Leif had neither the energy nor want to fight about this.
