Blueblood had always been an early riser. He saw the mornings as a time to be up, he rose with the sun. As soon as he could be active, he would. He spent no time within his den dwindling, didn't bother waiting for others to awaken. He was out into the camp before the sun even had a chance to fully rise, the chilled leaf-fall wind striking his pelt. His paws itched with the need to do something, a restless energy that stayed with him from the moment he woke up, to the moment he fell asleep. He kept his tail wrapped firmly around them as he seated himself at the edge of the camp, silently observing everything, listening intently to the sounds of the morning. It was nice to have some time to himself for a bit, to just soak in the environment around him.

His eyes flicked idly between different subjects- a worm, a pawstep away, he could make out one of the holes it had occupied, a small spot in the ground. The fire-coloured leaves were beginning to fall off the trees, leaving them bare and empty. Blueblood watched as a leaf fluttered to the ground, observant eyes watching the descent, calculating. If he wanted to, he could pounce on the leaf within a few seconds, pin it to the ground like a piece of prey. But, that would be a pointless action, so he restrained himself from doing so. He watched as it lowered, eyes remaining on it for a few moments before flicking to a new subject. Greyheart. His brother seemed to have arisen as well.

Typically, the absence of Blueblood within the warriors den was a signal for Greyheart to get up. He wasn't as much of an early riser as his brother, often falling back into sleep not long after he'd awoken. It was a habit he'd been struggling to break, one that had unfortunately run over from his moons spent as an apprentice. He practically had to force himself up, out of the den, into the harsh morning air. He had little problem with the cold, his pelt often sheltered it from the brunt of it. Even so, it wasn't exactly the most pleasant thing to wake up to.

He caught sight of his brother a little way off, paying the smaller cat no attention. He wasn't up to socialise. He was up to sharpen himself, improve his skills. He didn't want any unnecessary distractions- "Hello, Greyheart!" Greyheart internally sighed, shooting a look his brother's way, watching as his sibling approached him.

"Hello." He grumbled in response, pupils narrowing somewhat. His brother seemed to catch onto his irritation, pausing a little way off, his previously cheerful posture deflating.

"I'm assuming you were off to train?" Blueblood questioned. Greyheart gave him a nod of confirmation. "I won't keep you then."

Greyheart seemed satisfied with that information, taking off not long after his brother had spoken, heading to one of the more secluded areas of the camp, a corner that he often used to hone his hunting abilities and fighting techniques, there was a small pile of fallen leaves there, ones that often found themselves becoming mock 'prey' for him. He approached the pile, brushing one of the leaves away with his paw, moving it so it sat roughly a fox-length away from him. Perfect.

(this took me a horribly long time to write, lmao. probably because I've not rped Warriors in a long time, and am therefore rusty. Anywho, both of my cats are up for interaction! Although, Grey might attempt to make you leave him alone, he's moody in mornings. and a sidenote cos I'm insecure, I hope this was a decent first post haha ^^)

Blackfern was fast asleep. That when the sun started to come over the horizon and started to wake him up.

oof im like, the only one without a fancy thingy of some kind lmao

Lightningpaw was a little slow to wake up, the cold making him want to sleep in where it was warm for longer. He eventually stretched and got up, however, the tip of his stubby tail twitching, and stepped out into the cold damp air. Good thing he had a thick pelt. Still, without a tail long enough to wrap over his paws, it was quite cold. After exiting the Apprentice Den, he looked around for his mentor that seemed to always be up before everyone else.

"Good morning, Blueblood!" He ran over, skidding to a halt and kicking up leaves in front of him.

Lightningpaw seemed energetic, as always. Blueblood shook his head in amusement at his apprentice, his eyes following the leaves that had been kicked up into the air, watching them fall. "Good morning, Lightningpaw," He greeted, focusing on the young cat before him, a cheerfulness to his eyes. At least some cat was happy to talk to him, he shot a very brief look in Greyheart's direction as that thought passed through his mind. "It's nice to see you're up and eager," He commented, although, the younger cat always seemed rather eager. Perhaps too eager at times.

Dewberry yawned widely from her test within the warriors den. The tortoishell female had twisted herself into a ball the night before in attempts to stay warm from the quickly dropping temperature of the seasons. Through slotted eyes she grumbled to herself softly.

“Why does every cat have to wake up so early?” The black and orange feline set her chin to her paws and began to slowly wake up from what seemed to be hibernation.

Rainstar awoke to the light tapping of rain on the leaves of the towering trees. She stretched and groomed her pelt, before stepping out of her den. The cold drops landed on her fur, as she let out a purr. "Another usual rainy day." She smiled and leaped up onto a rock inside the camp, overlooking her sleepy clan. Rainstar didn't want to - or need to - wake up her subjects, so she sat down on that rock under the dryness of a slightly drooping tree.

Darkpaw yawned and let out a moan as the rain began to fall. He grumbled and stood up, poking his head outside the den. There was no sight of his mentor, but his sister was out and about, so he padded over to her. "Hey, anything fun going on? I'm super bored." he complained, rolling his pastel yellow eyes.

Cloudkit snuggled into her mother's side and embraced the warmth, the light sound of rain just calmed her even more, so she slept through the peaceful morning sunrise.

Lightningpaw bounced on his paws, little tail wagging back and forth similar to a dog's since he had limited movement in it. "What are we going to do today, Blueblood? Are we going to practice fighting or climbing?" He asked hopefully. Fighting and climbing were his favorite things to do other than running at full speed. He wasn't very good at hunting, he just didn't have much patience with stalking.

Rainstar purred and looked at her younger brother. "No, I'm afraid. Unless you want to play with Cloudkit, then nothing interesting to satisfy your usual boredom." she meowed calmly, with amusement. She smiled and flicked her tail at her brother, before padding over to the few of her awake subjects, Lightningpaw and Blueblood, nodding at Lightningpaw's enthusiastic behaviour to practice climbing or fighting. "Good morning Lightningpaw. Good morning Blueblood. I can see your apprentice here is very enthusiastic about his training."

Blueblood's whiskers twitched in amusement at his apprentice's continued enthusiasm. Fighting and climbing, hmm? "I actually intended for us to practice hunting. You need to work on your stalking technique," He informed. He felt somewhat bad for the apprentice that it wasn't what he'd wanted to do, but it was far better to work on things that needed improvement, in particular, Lightningpaw's patience.

His ears perked in the direction of Rainstar, shortly craning his head to look at her as well, offering a nod in greeting. "Good morning, Rainstar," He said, tone amused by her comment about Lightningpaw, he gave a reverberating chuckle, "Yes. He's got far more energy than most of the other cats around here."

Lightningpaw seemed to deflate at the mention of hunting, specifically stalking. He had pouncing and chasing down, but stalking. Ugh. It took too long! He just wanted to run and be fast and get it over with!

"I don't wanna practice hunting, can't we do something else?" He whined, then took notice of Rainstar. "Good morning, Rainstar." He greeted with a little less enthusiasm than before.

Blackfern got up from her nest and started to groom her fur. Once she was done she walked out of the den and over to the cat that was walking up and said" good morning Rainstar, Blueblood and lightingpaw.

Rainstar smiled and welcomed Blackfern with a flick of her tail. "Good morning. Oh and Blueblood and Lightningpaw, I would like to watch you train? Some fighting and hunting would be a perfect influence. I need to check on apprentices's training, to ensure they are at their best state. And I am afraid you need to train on things you may not like, and may not be good at, so you can improve, that's why you are training after all, is it not?" she meowed, explaining to the young apprentice why he had to train on the things he ever so much despised. She looked at Blackfern and nodded, closing her eyes.

"Good morning," Blueblood greeted Blackfern with an acknowledging nod, swiftly focusing on Rainstar as she spoke. "Of course," He nodded in confirmation, he looked to Lightningpaw for a few moments, to assure that he was fine with it as well. He doubted the apprentice would have many complaints, but it didn't hurt to check. He nodded in agreement to Rainstar's point, "Exactly. And you can never be a Warrior if you can't hunt. You could be stuck as an apprentice, forever," He added, a soft laugh in the back of his throat. His father had often said that to him and Greyheart when they had been apprentices, it had been a good source of motivation. Hopefully it would be able to motivate Lightningpaw a bit as well.

A very worried look crossed Lightningpaw's face at the loose threat of being an apprentice forever. "I don't wanna be an apprentice for the rest of my life!" He mewled, shaking his head. That would be dreadful, he wanted to be the best warrior there ever was! He couldn't do that if he was stuck as Blueblood's apprentice. A mischievous thought crossed him at that moment, a smirk playing on his features. "Although, if I'm going to be an apprentice forever, you'll be stuck training me forever, Blueblood!"

Rainstar thought about that and couldn't help but laugh a little by the apprentice's stuck up behaviour. "Blueblood! I believe your apprentice has outsmarted you! But yes, that is true,"

As much as he enjoyed being a mentor to Lightningpaw, the idea of being his mentor forever wasn't the most appealing. Blueblood's eyes widened slightly at the thought, before catching sight of his apprentice's smirk, features quickly morphing to mirror it. "Well, that just means I'm going to have to train you harder." He stated in a serious tone, "Especially in hunting." He shot an amused glance Rainstar's way at her comment. He was not going to let his apprentice outsmart him that easily. "After all, I'm the one training you. And if I decide I want to train you in hunting forever, I will train you in hunting forever."
