The place was like a wonderland. Svea froze as she breathed in the sights. She had been apprehensive of the boats at first sight, prickling and taking a slow step backward as one floated skyward, defying gravity with balloon like elegance. Now, with the wind in her ears and the soft pink evening light spilling out onto the deck, she couldn't imagine anything lovelier. Svea let her attention fall to the huge red ball of sun that now hung almost even with the ferry on the horizon and realized she could hardly tell if it was going up or down. She concluded it was beautiful either way. The archipelago that lay fast growing in the distance was still shrouded in mystery to her. She had taken off to the mystic islands at her mother's recommendation with no more than a map and a stash of fairytales in her mind, each story as delicate and magical as a pinned butterfly. Her dusty furred widow of a mother had gingerly wrapped her tail around Svea and spoke with a slight rasp in her voice. "I'm old Svee," Svea remembered with relish the way she had always purred her pet name, "and I know you're scared to go far away. But I wish you would go find your own life now." The suggestion had offended her at first, but then Svea's mother had reeled off such captivating stories of "clans", bamboo forests, and frost covered lands that she had begun to have dreams. And dreams are dangerous because they make people hope. And hope inspires little girls to have adventures, even if the girl is only little on the inside. The story about the floating islands had intruded into her dreams the most and made her decision easy when it was time to leave home. Right now she regretted nothing. The call of the ferryman, and the bump of the docking ship, jarred Svea from her thoughts. Her head snapped upwards to catch a glimpse of the foreign territory sprawling out before her. She could see nothing more than a sea of trees. At the prompting of the ferryman, Svea gathered her meager luggage and was herded off the ship into the grass. He barked something about how she ought to stay put and wait for a member to happen upon her pick her up or something before stalking back onboard and preparing for another trip. The words barely registered in her mind. Here she was, an awkward adolescent leaving home for the first time; unwarranted excitement boring down into the very core of her soul. She could hardly imagine how strange she must look on the outside.

ah, the sky was beautiful today.
the sun, a blazing ball of red, floated above in the air, illuminating the islands with a ferocious yet warm light. there seemed not to be a single cloud in the sky, as if the very brightness of the celestial body dissipated them. the clan seemed to bustling with life at the time, which arcane thrived for.
humming a little tune that he had made up, the australian shepherd made his way through the cottages and the lively creatures. his paws were headed for the port, where he would descend on those strange contraptions of boats and perhaps spend his time collecting items that mother nature left like crumbs.
but as he arrived, he spotted a new face amongst the others, a feline who seemed to be somewhat confused. well, i guess i can do my things later. he figured. after all, helping others, especially newcomers was one of the reasons why he had returned to the clans in the first place.
he briskly paced towards svea, trying not to look intimidating. they did have a considerable size difference, and he understood that being in an unfamiliar place often jarred and perplexed the mind, as most usually adapted slowly to new surroundings.
"hello! i assume you intend to join?" he chirped, stopping in front of svea. she seemed disheveled and a bit scared, which was understandable.
( welcome to blizzardclan!! c: )

YOU SAY YOU WANT A BAD WITCH, BABY, NOW YOU HAVE IT—
// welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay <3
Looks like Kady was able to catch this stranger joining the clan unlike the past few. Like Arcane for example. She didn't know who he really was yet, but that would be fixed in due time. For now, she'd focus on meeting this new stranger and figuring out why they were here. "Travelled far to get here?" The saber inquires with a smirk as she gestures to the female's bag. Hmm, perhaps she did. Who knows? There was no judgement here. At least, not on Kady's end.

Svea
Blizzardclan apprentice
She hadn't had to wait long. Svea was astonished by the size of the two who greeted her. She peered up at them with owlish blue eyes. "Yes, I'm from a little ways away. The parts where it's more unclaimed woods than anything. I don't know much about these parts but I think I'd like to join." She hesitated, absently toying with the strap on her bag, "This place is magic." There was no better word for it. At home it had been uncommon for her to show emotion of any kind, so the splash of nervous excitement that had poked through on the ferry came as a slow fading wonder. It was lingering still, low hanging and shining a brilliant orange in her mind no different from the setting sun. She knew she must appear small and disheveled to these huge animals. //thanks!

/welcome babe <3 I'm loving svea already !
"It's not magic." Came the dull voice of the ginger paladin. To the average person, this would come off as perhaps a bit rude. After all, her tone was curt and cold, and it wasn't exactly the politest way to introduce herself. But to those that knew dear Leifsdottir, it wasn't anything outside of the usual. Murky green eyes looked the joiner over once, noting the disheveled appearance. Where had they come from, she wondered, for them to arrive in such a state? "Per Blizzardclan's auto-acceptance policy, you are now a member. I am Leifsdottir. Please state your name."

Wise to be truthful now. No, Blizzardclan was not magic and they were just like any other group that existed around these parts. These strange lands that she wondered if anyone had taken the time to actually explore beyond what they knew. Regardless the princess moved on quite paws, form shifting just a little as she walked across the grass and dirt. Her frosted gaze was on the strange for the most part as she narrowed her eyes and promptly sat down. She wasn’t the type to actively care about strangers at least not wholly but when they were of Blizzardclan she saw no reason to refute and refuse them. They were important now as Blizzardclan was important and she gaze a light sigh before lifting one of her tails in greeting. “Welcome. As you already know this is Blizzardclan. I’m Valaerya and if you need something I’m willing to be of service.” Even if it was begrudgingly.

"hm, unclaimed woods, huh? i've explored outside clan borders a lot, maybe i passed by your place." he nodded, though her description didn't made it familiar. there were lots of forests and trees out there, learned from spending time wandering around with no set goal.
hearing her next statement, he couldn't help but smile wider than he already was. "that's right. i was surprised when i saw the stone boats for the first time as well."
a curt voice, duller than the australian shepherd's, cut through his comments. there came leifsdottir, the ginger-furred paladin who didn't seem as eager as him to introduce himself.
and then valaerya, a somewhat familiar face, had approached as well. he stared at the two, both more experienced atnavigatjng the islands and customs of blizzardclan than him. "if you need anything, i can be of assistance as well." his tone shifted to something a little more serious

Svea
Blizzardclan apprentice
Svea had just opened her mouth to respond to the shepherd when a dull voice interrupted her thought. "Svea," she said, snapping to attention, "My name is Svea." And you must be the leader.Or an official at least. The thought flashed through her mind but it didn't frighten her as much as she thought it would. Their voice was wry, but they still appeared like everyone else in the expanding crowd. The mention of auto-acceptance presented a relief; she had half-expected to be scrutinized by the high-positions, tested maybe. "So, do I follow you all back?" she asked, sending up a silent prayer that she didn't sound ignorant.

"Yes." Is all she'd say, already turning around towards the direction of the camp. The newcomer seemed nervous. They usually did, so it didn't surprise Leif too much. Her thoughts were drawn momentarily to her own joining as she began walking towards the stone huts. She was in a similar state to Svea, if she recalled correctly - disheveled-looking and weary of what these strangers might do to her. Had much changed? Ask anyone and they'd say her appearance had worsened, though her personality had softened a little. No more was she over-cautious about everyone and everything, instead the Paladin presenting with indifference. Sleep-deprivation had exhausted her to no end however, and her pelt was ragged and dirty from lack of grooming. Things had to be worked on, no doubt.
