    tags ✦ ✧ ✦ The temperature began to drop as streaks of purple appeared in the previously clear sky, announcing that the sun would soon disappear beyond the horizon, bringing along the end of another day. It was getting closer to Tam's bedtime. Normally, the pale kit would have been in the Blood House long before this point, already dozing or watching the sunset from the safety of his little family's window. Today, a mood had struck him, and he'd remained out later than usual, refusing to entertain the possibility of heading inside. In fact, he didn't intend to go inside at all—Tam was tired of always having to go to sleep when he was told. Tonight, he would act like an adult, and stay up as late as he wanted!


    Of course, staying up late was no fun if you didn't get to do anything, so he'd planned a whole adventure. He was going to sneak off toward the busier part of the city, and observe the twoleg night life. He'd have fun. Still, he lingered outside the Blood House, not quite ready to leave. He didn't want to go alone—it wasn't that he was scared or anything, of course, but adventuring alone was stupid. It was only fun with someone else. Casting a molten gaze around, he alighted almost immediately on Artemis. She liked this sort of thing, didn't she? Ghosting over to his sister, Tam begged, "Artemis, let's sneak away an' go on an adwenture!"

    tufted ears swiveled around as tam approached her. standing up, the kit stretched and looked at her brother. "okay! where are we gonna go? further into the twolegplace? i've always wanted to see what it looks like out there." she whispered, tail twitching with excitement. adventuring at night was fun, especially if you had a brother to do it with.

    tags ✦ ✧ ✦ Although Artemis seemed excited by his idea, Tam couldn't say before: her response had been a whisper, and even at such close quarters, he needed more volume in order to be able to hear. Dismay rose across his features. If this would be happening the whole time they were out, it wouldn't be much fun. Well, with a reminder, Misa probably wouldn't forget not to whisper around him again; she was usually good at that. Somewhat crossly, he snapped, "What? Actually, it's doesn'ted matter. We're going all the way into the twoweg place, 'kay?" He barely waited for agreement before he began pumping his long legs, eager to set forth.

    "oops sorry tammy! i didn't mean to whisper! that's is my bad." the black smoke kit flicked her tail along her brother's spine. she usually didn't forget to speak up when around tam. she must have been tired or something. i hope he forgives me. following after her brother, she wondered what it would be like further into the twoleg place. would it be scary or exciting? would they see a twoleg? would there be other groups like bloodclan in the twolegplace?

    tags ✦ ✧ ✦ Tam huffed slightly but was quick to accept the apology. It wasn't like Artemis to make that mistake anyway; most of his siblings remembered, even if the extended clan didn't always. 'Sides, how could he hold a grudge against her if they were adventuring together? "S'ok," he mumbled, pressing against his sister as they drew further into the twoleg place.


    "I never went so far away wifout anyone before," he commented after some time. His yellow eyes were wide as he took in the strange sights and smells of this side of town. "Hey—you fink we'll see a dog?"

    a dog. misa shivered, partially out of fear and partially out of delight. she'd heard stories about the huge brutes who prowled the twolegplace, attacking unsuspecting cats. twolegs were the only ones who could control them. "i hope so. that would be so cool. but also scary." she gave a little skip of excitement. "i wonder what we'll see! what if we discover something amazing for bloodclan? we'll be heroes!" her imagination was wild, that was for sure. gazing around as they rounded the corner, her sun orbs went wide with awe. everything was so big!
