  • The Lancaster Family History:

    The Lancaster Family History:

    Modern Day

    Rules

    Form

    My Character

  • I'm in! But first, would you rather I go with Jonothon ("Jono") or Percival ("Percy")? The former is this quiet, brooding type. The latter is a good soul, but he pretends to be like his family in order to have others underestimate him.

  • Okay! We can do another plot using Jono, later.

    Name:

    Percival "Percy" Lancaster

    Age:

    18

    Gender:

    Male

    Sexuality:

    Straight

    Species:

    Mage (I'm assuming)

    Powers:

The standard abilities of a mage from the Lancaster family.

    Personality:

On first impression, you'd think Percy was your typical dumb rich kid. He merely exaggerates already-existing flaws. In reality, the young Lancaster has great courage and a zest for life.

    History:

I'll probably reveal bits in the thread.

    Other:

I have a few ideas for this.

  • Today was a big day for Percy. An important milestone every Lancaster hit within their lives. Unfortunately...He wasn't interested. The blonde shifted around where he stood in the estate's basement. A massive place, meant for the ritual. "Is this going to take long?" he asked the relative in charge of this occasion. He didn't want to or like sounding rude.

"I hate being rude, but I've got places to be and..."

(And a bump for our other thread)

  • The relative shushed him. “This is an important moment if you’re going to be the next in line for the Lancaster position. Now hush up and say the words.” They said, before turning back to the large pentagon inside of a circle on the ground.

Meanwhile, a disgruntled Tineki floated in an endless void. It was the day she would officially going to become a slave to some measly writhing humans. Well she would show them. After the ceremony, she would make her move and make their life a living nightmare.

  • Ah, yes. Percy was to become head of his family. A great responsibility that the young man had upon his shoulders. Not that he wanted to. But...What was he going to do? He said nothing more of the matter, instead stepping towards the pentagon and steeling himself. As he stood beside the relative, he took a deep breathe and uttered the words:

"Ego autem in necessitate mea nota"

And then Percy watched. Casually leaning his face towards the magical space.

(The relative can be anyone. A grandparent, a aunt/uncle, whatever)

  • Oh great, the little brat finally said the magic words. Took him long enough. She thought snarkily to herself. With that, Am’rio felt herself being pulled into something that for once didn’t look like void. It looked like pure, blinding light.

With a flash, the pentagon circle began to glow red, causing a strong feeling of wind to blow at the members of the room. When it had finished, a strange creature sat there slumped over, with their head facing the ground. She looked like she was the same age as Percival and she was shaped like a teenage to young adult girl, however, she had thick green scales and red fur that covered her body, and long tusks to match her claws and tail. She was dressed in a ragged servant’s outfit and was all chained up.

  • When the wind began to blow, Percy had raised his arm in an attempt to shield himself. And when they died down, he slowly began to lower it. Catching sight of the summoned creature before him. The shock and awe caused him to drop his arm immediately. He...He honestly didn't think it would work. He didn't believe he could summon a creature of legend.

But there she was. And she was beautiful. Beautiful...And vulnerable, kneeling there in a frock. Percy got onto his own knees in front of her. Trying to see whether or not she was okay. Getting a better look at her in the process.

  • Amr’io opened her eyes to reveal her fiery colored irises and her pure black sclera. Her mouth widened to a toothy grin as she grabbed Percy by the arm and excessively shook it. “So you’re the guy I’ve been hearing about? You seem scrawnier than I thought. Couldn’t even fight off a pukwudgie. Oh, how rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself, I am Amr’io and I’ll be your ‘familiar’, which, may I add, is a nicer word than ‘slave’ or ‘servant’ by the way. So you summoned me, what would you like me to do? Rub your back, grab you the remote, or were you too tired to brush your teeth?” She rambled playfully, inspecting her new “master”. The Lancasters looked a bit uncomfortable, so one of them pushed her back into the pentagon. “Back, foul demon!” They warned, though their voice was a bit shaky. “Rude, I’m not a demon. Besides, I was just palling around.” She joked, crossing her arms and sticking her forked tongue out.

(By the way, you can play some of the NPCS if you want too)

  • (I know. I'm just lazy.)

Percy raised a hand towards the pusher before addressing Amr'io, "Would you mind...Maybe doing a trick? Firebreathing, if you can?" Something showy would defuse the crowd. Plus, the young man liked putting on a show. He sat back a little to give the draconic girl space. Unlike the gathered, Percy didn't find the dragon girl's attitude rude or offensive. Why would he? She had a right to, being dragged out of her home.

  • All of the Lancasters turned to look at Percy, and even Amr’io did too. “Alright, do you want me to pull a rabbit out of a hat next?” She sneered. The chains around her arms felt like they were burning into her skin after she said that. Amr’io was immune to fire and even lava, however, this seemed to actually hurt for some odd reason. She looked up to see one of the Lancasters, perhaps Percy’s dad or mom, glaring at her. However, she did oblige to her “master”’s commands. With one deep breath, she created a large stream of fire that burned down a few bookshelves and even made some of the Lancasters jump. She chuckled a bit at the chaos she created when she was done. “What’s next? You want me to roll over?” She snickered.

(I know, but can you please try? Sometimes it’s hard to manage so many characters)

  • (Hmm...Perhaps I shall.)

Percy, standing back up, remained silent. Ignoring the varying looks his relatives were giving him. Once again, the female had him in awe. But with everyone watching closely, now, he had to pretend. The young man shook himself and prepared to give another order. "Now...Bring me a drink from upstairs." A more mundane task. All Percy could come up with, at the moment.

He wasn't too keen on ordering her around, either. It...It didn't feel right. The blonde could already tell this whole situation was...Off.

  • “Right away, o’ master.” She grinned. With the snap of her claws, Amr’io had apparated a cup in one hand. The other she had behind her back. “Let’s see which one can do the most damage.” She whispered to herself. She snapped her fingers and she seemed to had apparated a large, heavy container of liquid. Amr’io turned around to find it was some gasoline from the family garage. She hastily poured a cup, making sure the family didn’t see what liquid it was, before presenting it in front of Percival. “Go on, try it. Its very tasty.” She pressured. One of Percy’s family members walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. “You seem to have gotten the hang of yourself. Now remember, only summon her if you need or want something from her. Not to test out her abilities. You’re her master, not her personal trainer. And don’t forget, whenever you’re done with her, say the desummoning spell.” With that, the circle of Lancasters began to leave the basement one by one, and soon it was just the boy and his Tineki.

  • Left alone with his new familiar, Percy side-eyed the offered cup. Quickly raising it up to his nose and sniffing it. Amr'io had given him gasoline in a cup. Fully expecting him to be dumb enough to drink it. Percy did some pretending of his own, pouring it out over his shoulder while looking like he was actually drinking it. He smiled and made a noise to act like he enjoyed the 'drink' he asked for.

  • Amr’io snorted. “Ah master, you’re no fun.” She smirked, knowing fully well he did not actually drink it. With that, she sprung foward and began to mess around in the basement. She swung across the boards in the ceilings and landed on top of some of the bookshelves, before beginning to pull out books from it and skimming through them. If they didn’t peak her interest, she would throw the books out onto the ground. “War and peace? Pfft, no thank you. A businessman’s guide to life? Yuck. What aren’t you humans reading Medea or something cool anymore?” She said, mostly to herself and partly towards Percival. As she tore a page out of the businessman’s book and began eating it, she noticed a book that caught her eye. “Ooh! This one’s about a giant whale who eats people! Fancy that! Moby Dick. Stupid name, but I’ll bite.” With that, she blew a ring of fire underneath her, warmed herself by rolling around in it, and began reading.
