  • AND I'VE BEEN RUNNIN' AS FAST AS I CAN —

    || first and foremost, an apology to the rest of the basket litter, and to checkers for the inactivity. i'm here to fix that ;) ||

Still a bit clumsy on his paws, the pastel colored caracal cub was on a mission. To where? To do what? He had no idea. He just wanted to see it all, and once our little Requiem was on a kick, there was no stopping him now. He was alone this time, a mission set in independence. What did it mean to be a part of the Solaris Kingdom? He was sure to find out, but now was his time to become familiar with where he'd been living. He hoped he wouldn't get in trouble...

  • "Little Prince, you seem to be quite busy today, hm?"

The rumbling voice belongs to none other than Mikael, the clan's Midnightblade and assassin ( his alternative title is unbeknownst to everyone else, as of currently ). He approaches the boy with a slight inclination of his head, the faintest of smiles pulling at the corners of his lips but, of course, it was faked. Everyone seemed to be concerned about him to some degree, thought that something was wrong and while something was most definitely wrong with Mikael, he felt inclined to protect Iceshattered by feigning recovery from mental traumas. Tail lashing once behind him, the cream colored tom pauses near Requiem, ice blue eyes settling upon the slightly taller caracal cub. Kids sure did grow fast didn't they? He would know, seeing as his daughter was already an apprentice and was . . . much bigger than he was now, it seemed.

"I hope you weren't thinking of going out by yourself? It's quite dangerous without someone to supervise you." Heide, his bumblebee bat companion, was perched upon his shoulders, looking at Mikael curiously. Brown eyes seem to reflect confusion, a contemplative frown on her face. This was . . . odd. She felt put off by Mika's sudden change in personality - he seemed much . . . approachable now. Or was amiable, the word? He wasn't as . . . stiff as he had been recently. Heide didn't know, but she was most definitely confused. Hopefully Aurum would come by and experience this for himself too.

  • ❝ I'LL BE COMING WITH MY GUNS UP, SHOOTING AT THE MOON TO BRING THE SUN UP ❞ Aurum was glad that, at least, one of his kids hadn't gone off the deep end. The lion moved over to greet his son, with a chirpy, "So, where are we off to today?" he asked with a little wink; he intended to go along, of course. Aurum however, like Heide expected, did sense a change in Mikael's actions as well - and he glanced to his friend, giving a nod - one that could be interpreted as a 'thank you', or more to Heide, confirmation.

  • AND I'VE BEEN RUNNIN' AS FAST AS I CAN —

Requiem seemed to fluster at how quickly the others had found him. This was most unexpected, and of course, he hadn't planned for this. He shifted on his large paws, aqua gaze cast downward. The ground had suddenly become so interesting, it might have seemed. He pulled his eyes back up to meet Aurum's before Mikael. The prince, as much as he wanted to curl up into a fetal position, realigned his stance into one of pride and assurance. “I'm going on... an adventure.” he stated, only noticing in that moment how childish that would sound. The uncertainty clinging to his tone had masked the sentence as more of an inquiry than a declaration.

  • BABY YOU DON'T KNOW ME, 'CAUSE YOU'RE DEAD WRONG

The woman would slip up beside her father. Did she notice the change? Yes. Did she mind it? No. He seemed to support her more dark behavior. Like hunting or fighting. He was, well, proud of her.

    "Speech."

  • Mikael is quiet as Requiem's father makes an appearance, quietly watching the exchange between the two with a contemplative expression settling upon scarred features. At the mention of the boy wanting to go on an adventure, his ears slowly perk. An adventure, the prince said? Well . . . that should be interesting, but Mikael has been just about everywhere by this point - there wasn't much to explore in their territory - but perhaps he would tag along since he knew Heide might want to. "I suppose we'll go too." The feline-mutt eventually gets out, his tail curling idly as Synesis joins him at his side. He glances to her, dipping his head in greeting, before returning his attention onto Requiem. Where would the prince want to take them then, he wondered?

  • AND I'VE BEEN RUNNIN' AS FAST AS I CAN —

Requiem's name was extremely dissimilar to his personality. The caracal cub was energetic and inquisitive, but maybe it was his inner child still shining through as bright as day. His ears perked at the question, his recently lost confidence suddenly reattached. A wild glimmer caught his shining ocean orbs, his maw stretching into a grin. Childlike features now seemed to glow in sheer anticipation. “Well, I live here, right?” he asked, the question rhetoric. He didn't wait long before continuing. “I want to know about all of it.” he told his father, gaze sweeping over the others as he searched for a sign of agreement. Was this reckless? Impulsive? Yes and yes, but that was Requiem.

  • ❝ I'LL BE COMING WITH MY GUNS UP, SHOOTING AT THE MOON TO BRING THE SUN UP ❞ Aurum's own name was far fitting for him - gold - but he shared his son's energetic nature; he just hadn't had the chance to spread it as of late. So his son wanted to explore the territory? it sounded all good to him. "Sounds wonderful. Where would you like to start? do you want me to show you the oasis?" Aurum offered to Requiem, offering a smile.
