—— Since her return, she had only caught brief glimpses of her brother who had worked his way up to medicine cat while she was absent. Despite having their disagreements in the past, especially when Bluefrost was feeling at her ultimate low, she was glad that he was now medicine cat. She knew the job would suit him well and he would hopefully do a much better job than she had. After all, she was RiverClan's 'traitor' according to Twistedtail. A medicine cat turned traitor -- what a soap opera.
Bluefrost had just returned from a hunting patrol and had almost come back empty pawed if it hadn't been for a beached fish. Perhaps it was cheating, but regardless, she had done her part for the day and had returned home with food for the Clan. As much as she hated to admit it, she would have to find someone to help get her back on her paws. She needed to improve her hunting and battle skills in a bad way. She could ask Ravensong. For a few days, the she-cat had been her mentor, but she was unsure where they stood now. She had seen the pained looked in the black she-cat's eyes when Bluefrost had returned home from BloodClan, even though she had defended her from Twistedtail. Tossing the fish in the freshkill pile, Bluefrost started towards the medicine den out of habit. It wasn't until she had reached the entrance that she realized her mistake.
Pausing with one paw dangling in the entrance, she sighed and turned on her heels to leave again. She had a nest waiting for her in the warrior's den, and a nap seemed to be calling her name. She had been so tired ever since Blahkenmuro had left her. Depression seemed to press itself harder and harder against her. She often wondered if one day she would break. As she stood there, still at the entrance, she thought of her brother who was most likely inside sorting herbs or watching over sick and injured Clanmates. Thinking she should go speak to him, she pushed her way into the den. The familiar smell of herbs which somehow still clung to her pelt hit her nose. "Chasingpa-... Chasingcomets?" she called, eyes adjusting to the darkness.
