as the light of dawn flooded the apprentice den, clearpaw's blue eyes pulled open slowly. she hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. she tossed and turned so much of the night that she wouldn't be surprised if her denmates hated her. she poked her head out and at first the light was blinding in comparison to the darker den. she let her eyes get used to the brightness before continuing on. clear took heavy steps over to where other riverclanners had been gathering. the grey and white molly sat down and just looked over the small group that had gathered. most cats should be getting up soon and she was still only half awake. while clearpaw seemed to just stare off into space, she thought about things she might do that day. she would definitely go down to the river as usual. that was her favorite place to be. she imagined the cool water rushing over her paws and the drowned out sounds that were audible from under the surface. she was brought out of her daze when she felt something bump into her shoulder. a jolt ran through her small frame and her ears pricked up. she had been slightly on edge as of late but upon turning and seeing a clanmate, clearpaw sighed with relief.
