Alexander seemed to melt almost at his touch. Leslie always had a way of making him feel so relaxed and so com. “Don’t apologize. None of it is your fault. Thank you. I don’t think I could ever give up on you or leave you. You mean the world to me.” He whispered. He knew that Leslie knew that though.

"And you mean the world to me too." Leslie's voice continued at a whisper as he readjusted himself slightly to get more comfortable. "So, how are you feeling?" He asked, wanting to make sure that Alexander was comfortable.
-
“I’m feeling eh. Everything is just a numb pain right now. I am waiting for the medicine to kick in. That will help. As for if you are wondering whether I am comfortable, I am. I am just glad to be next to you still. I thought I was going to die. I really did.” Alexander murmured. He would’ve hated to know that he left Leslie in this type of situation. It would be terrible.
-
"Alright. I'm glad you're comfortable . . . and I know. I thought . . . well, I was worried you would to. No, I wasn't just worried I was . . . I don't know how to explain it. I just know I don't ever want to feel like that again." Leslie's voice seemed to become a little strained, as if it were a struggle to be on this topic.
-
Alexander bit his bottom lip gently as he heard his words. He knew this was always going to be a very hard topic for the two of them to speak of. “I did make you a promise that I would never leave you. I said I wanted to marry you someday. I can’t give up that easily.” He reminded. He loved Leslie so much and it showed with how he watched the other male. The affection was clear in his eyes.
-
Leslie's lips twitched into a small smile and he sighed softly. The idea of getting married to Alexander, even in such a serious moment like this, made his heart stutter. "I look forward to that, so no, neither of us can give up." His voice softened to a gentle hum and some sort of warmth seemed to flood his gaze. "We'll get through this."
-
Alexander had known that he wanted to marry the other male for a good while now. He couldn’t imagine his life without him actually. His smile grew a little bit as he heard his words. “Yes we will. I have a lot of faith in us.” He murmured. He was smiling a lot more as of late. That was all because of Leslie too.
-
"That's good, because we both need to uphold that." Leslie knew that thinking negatively wouldn't get either of them anywhere. He didn't want it to seem as if he were expecting the worst either, even if sometimes it felt like it. Though, even noting that, he couldn't help but continue to smile as well. It seemed Alexander's smiles were a bit contagious after all.
-
Alexander nodded his head slightly in agreement with a smile on his lips. He knew they both would be able to uphold that. He shifted to press a light kiss to his cheek. “I love you so much. I will do everything in my power to get healthy for you and for me.” He murmured. He knew that Leslie wasn’t thinking the most positive about this all. It was hard to, especially after what all happened to him.
-
"Thank you." With a small smile Leslie could only close his eyes and shift a bit, trying to provide a comfortable position for the both of them. "So, think you'll continue to tease me for lazing around all day?" He asked with a very soft teasing tone. After all, Leslie had plenty of his own couldn't get out of bed moments. Of course Alexander didn't have much of a choice because he was injured, but Leslie was just going to throw in light teasing.
-
“You’re welcome.” Alexander responded in a gentle tone. He shifted his gaze to look up at him when he said his next words. They actually brought a smile onto his lips. He let out a soft hum before he spoke again. “Well I guess that I can give you a period of immunity. But mark my words, as soon I am healed you will get teased for laying around again.” He spoke a little jokingly. He was trying to keep the mood light.
-
"Sure thing." Leslie spoke as if he didn't believe Alexander despite the fact he knew Alexander would certainly act on the threat. "But even with the teasing, good luck trying to get me out of bed. You know how I am." He really had always been the person to be up on time and early when Glenn had been around, but after all of that, he'd gotten into the habit of just staying in bed and not wanting to get up. Sure, he was definitely better now, but the habit still stayed.
-
“I do know how you are. It is crazy because you changed after you and Glenn split. I remember you used to get up before me and make breakfast. Now you just lay around all day.” Alexander joked some. He didn’t mind that the other male did so, honestly. He wanted him to be as happy as he could be. He hoped that it showed. A light hum left his lips as he leaned forward to kiss his cheek.
-
Leslie hummed in appreciation, the kiss to his cheek tickling his skin a bit. "Hmm, maybe I do it in hopes you'll stay laying down with me for a little longer." He teased, although some of that might also be true. How could it not be? Cuddling Alexander was on his list of favorite things to do.
-
Alexander cracked a light smile as he heard his words. “Well it always does work. You get to lay with me for at least an extra ten minutes.” He pointed out. He didn’t mind cuddling with Leslie as much as the other male wanted to. It made him quite happy as well. Leslie was always nice and warm.
-
"Oh no, you found me out." Leslie gasped dramatically before breaking off into soft laughter. He was just honestly relieved and glad to just have Alexander with him. They would be okay. "So, do you really hate me sleeping in so much?"
-
“I figured your tricks out a long time ago. I just never truly had a problem with it. I love to cuddle with you.” Alexander admitted. He thought on his next statement before he shrugged his shoulders. “Not really. You are just lucky I am tolerant.” He joked.
-
Leslie couldn't help but be, well, happy at hearing that. Knowing that Alexander willingly fell into his obvious tricks because he loved all the things that Leslie did. How could he not be happy? "Yes. I'm very lucky." He spoke softly, voice fond.
-
Alexander tilted his head to look up at the other male with a very happy look in his eyes. He would do anything to keep them as happy as they we’re in the current moment in time. “I’m just so grateful for our relationship and how you stick by me through everything that I put you through. You have no clue how much that means to me.” He whispered.
-
"Of course I'd stick by you, and will continue to stick by you. I wouldn't have it any other way." Leslie's voice dipped into a deep and calming rumble of a tone. "I'm just glad you've let me stick by you, but it isn't just one way. You've helped me. A lot. I don't know if I could ever thank you enough for that." The loss of Glenn in his life had been a rough one, and then he'd almost lost Alexander. He was just grateful that he hadn't truly lost both. Of course he hadn't forgotten about Glenn's little visit, but he wasn't trying to think of that now.
