Alexander truly didn’t know how long it would take him to heal. He was scared for it though. What if he didn’t heal fast enough? What if Leslie got tired of taking care of him? He hoped that never happened. “I am hoping. Thanks.” He carefully reached out and took the meds and water. He put them in his mouth and swallowed them. His hands were shaking.

Leslie took the glass from Alexander once the other had some of the water before setting it down. "Hey. Do you just want to lay down again? I have to feed the cats but then I can come back and lay with you." As he spoke he noticed Larkspur sticking his russet coloured muzzle into the room, clearly waiting for food.
-
Alexandrr just nodded his head a bit numbly as he heard his words. He shifted to carefully get himself laying back down. He took some deep breaths as he did so to keep himself calm. It hurt a lot to try and do all of these things. He just wanted to be healed up already. He didn’t want to have to wait months to feel better. He didn’t know if he would be able to.
-
Leslie left then to feed the cats and get everything else cleaned for them, thankful Marie had taken good care of them but then again, she always did. He made his way back to the bedroom rather quickly but left the door cracked for the cats if they wanted to come in with them. Climbing into bed beside Alexander he laid in the way he had before so they could try to get comfortable.
-
Alexandet watched as the other male did so. He was grateful that he had laid down the same way as normal. He shifted closer to Leslie slowly, trying to make sure he wouldn’t get injured again in doing so. He rested his back head on his chest lightly once he was closer to him. “Is this okay?” He asked hopefully.
-
"Of course." He leaned forward to press a kiss to Alexander's forehead for a few moments before pulling back to rest comfortably again. "Just try to rest again if you can. Hopefully that medicine will help you feel better in a bit." Leslie's fingers gently rested against Alexander's side, wishing he could just pull his boyfriend close and provide all the comfort possible.
-
“I think I have gotten enough sleep these past few day’s to last me a month. I just want to lay here with you for now. You can get more sleep if you would like to though. I am sure you are exhausted still from stress and all.” Alexander commented. He wished that Leslie was able to do that as well. He wanted things to be back to normal as soon as possible.
-
"I'll try not to sleep but if I end up doing so please wake me up if you need anything. I won't be upset at all if you wake me up." Leslie reminded and hoped that Alexander would understand and do just that if the scenario came up.
-
Alexander knew better now than to try and do things on his own while he was in this state. He nodded his head a little bit, offering Leslie a gentle smile. “I will, I promise. Now get as much sleep as you need to.” He murmured. He pressed a light kiss to his cheek.
-
Leslie's fingers gently brushed through Alexander's hair before settling over his waist in a light hold. He wasn't planning on falling asleep but he knew after a wild there would be no avoiding just that. For now he just found himself tracing light patterns against Alexander with no pressure. "I'll go to sleep in a bit." He mumbled after a moment.
-
Alexander seemed to relax some as the other male did so. The touches made him quite happy. He let out a gentle hum, shifting to be closer to him once again. He tried to stay as comfortable as he could. “Okay. I love you, so very much. Thank you for caring for me.” He whispered.
-
"You're welcome, and no need to thank me for that." Leslie hummed softly before sighing. "I love you too." He continued the gentle traces until a while later when his movements slowed down a bit, showing he was getting close to falling asleep.
-
“Well I am always going to thank you for it. You don’t have to and here you are, spending your time living and caring for me. I do not know what I would do without you. I do know I would probably be dead if it wasn’t for you at the moment.” Alexander confessed. He took some light breaths. He could tell Leslie was falling asleep rather quickly then.
-
Leslie just responded by holding Alexander a bit more firmly and nuzzling the top of his head, his movements a bit sluggish and slow due to him getting close to falling asleep. "Don't know what I'd do without you either. Love you." He mumbled out, those being his last words before he finally drifted off.
-
Alexander managed to crack a smile as he heard his words. “I love you too. Sleep well.” He mumbled in response to him. He just wanted him as happy as he could be. Leslie deserved everything in the world. He hoped that he was able to provide that for him. He smiled gently as he stuck close to the other.
-
Leslie continued to sleep for a while, feeling comfortable where he was now. The past few days hadn't been great for well, pretty easily explained reasons but right now it seemed to all be okay. He just wanted it to continue that way. Breathing softly he nosed against Alexander in his sleep, looking probably the most relaxed he had been in a while.
-
Alexander didn’t try to fall asleep as Leslie slept, knowing he wouldn’t be able to. He just listened to the gentle breaths that he let out of his nose. He allowed it to calm him down more. He truly would be dead if it wasn’t for Leslie. He knew that the other probably took his words as somewhat of an exaggeration, but they were true. If he lost Leslie, he wouldn’t be able to live on.
-
Leslie eventually woke up, a small groan escaping his lips. The sound wasn't out of discomfort just more of complaint of waking up followed by the need to stretch a bit. Through his sleep fogged mind he was able to recognize that Alexander was still there and he weakly called out the name of the man against him.
-
Alexander still hadn’t fallen asleep by that time. He was laying awake. He shifted to look to Leslie and offered him a weak smile. “Hey. Did you sleep well? I hope I didn’t wake you.” He murmured. He shifted again to lean up and press a kiss to his cheek.

Leslie just let out a soft hum, his eyes closing again. "Yeah, I slept fine. I honestly don't know what woke me up." His voice was deep and heavy with sleep but it didn't mess up the quality of his words.
