  • SHIMMERPOOL

    Night (NPC) x Breeze (NPC)

    26 moons, Cis-Female, Bisexual
    Warrior of RiverClan

By now, the strikingly-marked queen was used to pain. One didn't see two sun-turns without some experience of the sensation. Still, this was new. A clenching sensation deep in her belly, it had woken her up before the sun and refused to relent. The queen had exhibited signs of illness a few days earlier and been moved to the medicine den, so summoning the medics wasn't hard. "Chasingcomets? Rootlegs?" she rasped, the effort of raising her voice left her feeling dizzy. Apparently she had a fever and the odd dreams she'd had lately certainly lent validity to the idea. Coughing, the queen's head drooped as she was beset by more pains. Well, Rootlegs had said her kits were due any day... and of course they'd pick her time of least health to demand entry into the world.

// Dia'kendi and CHASINGCOMETS ! have the angst thread xD Gleamkit was the only one adopted (aside from Owlkit, but Tiny dropped off the face of the earth) so three of four are going to die. Will just fade/non-describe the birth itself but figured I'd give you two the chance to appear from the woodwork and try run rescue.

:・゚✧—GIRLS LOVE GIRLS AND BOYS (SOPHISTICATED, MANIPULATIVE)

  • The male was placed in a set of mind where he was meant to work, and nothing about the situation that they were currently in looked as though they should be playing. He didn't want to say it, but Shimmerpool looked lethargic, starved, she even seemed to be a bit anemic. These signs were horrible for any cat, not to mention a kitting queen. The tom sat beside the molly, this eyes calm despite the feeling in his gut that was swirling around. Starclan, bless this delivery. "I-I'm here, I'm here, Shimmer, when was the last time you had some water?" He questioned, sorting through his herbs as he began to wonder exactly which ones she'd be able to handle. Some were stronger than others, harsher, others not too great for the kittens. He had to admit though, it was slightly exciting.

  • Today seemed to be the morning her kits would wake her by kicking into her stomach, causing a rather unpleasant awakening. Groaning angrily, the mother-to-be skittered off to the dirtplace to retch up any leftover contents of her stomach before whimpering pathetically at her belly. "Do you mind? I was trying to sleep," she complained internally, tail lashing as she cleaned herself up. Once she had dispensed of the vomit from her pelt, the queen slipped off towards the medicine cat den. They were usually decent enough to give her something for the nausea so she could sleep, therefore Quinn didn't feel particularly guilty regarding the idea of waking them. If she didn't get to sleep, neither did they.

However, someone else's babies decided to make a scene this early, early morning. Shortly before arriving at the yawning mouth of the medicine den, a familiar howl demanded the presence of Rootlegs and Chasingcomets. Hm, guess Shimmerpool is in labor. Good for her. Quinn didn't necessarily wish to see the process, but figured she ought to. After all, she would be experiencing the same thing in another moon. She didn't want any unwelcome surprises, frankly, so she slipped inside, grimacing at the sight of her denmate writhing about in her nest. "You look awful. Chase, any chance you could give her something to make her better?" The she-cat bit her lip. While her words could be mistaken as nice, she had an ulterior motive: To find out if she, too, would be able to eat anything for the pain. This really did seem dreadfully unpleasant.
