Decades ago, Hunters nearly wiped out the Werewolf population in the US. Many suffered horrible deaths, families were ripped apart, pups were left orphans as the war between Werewolves and Hunters went on mercilessly. The war went on for years until it seemed the Hunters had won, there were no signs of the beasts anywhere. But of course, they were wrong.
Females had fled with their pups in their human forms, integrating into the human society in order to protect their young. It was an agreement between all females that they would raise their children human, putting off their Werewolf heritage until they would come of age to turn. But never, ever, forming packs like before. Solidarity is what they needed to count on now for survival.
The females assumed most, if not all, of the males died in the war, leaving them as the only soul survivors. Them and their children. The spread out over the states, severing contact even with each other just to be on the safe side.
By taking such measures, their children grew up as humans, knowing nothing of their true ancestry. Until the day of their 16th birthday when they would shift.
But still, the new generation of Werewolves remained in solitude.
That is, until one Alpha began tracking down others of his kind, forming the first pack in years. This pack goes state to state, searching for every last member of their species, bringing them together at last, helping lost family members find each other, and giving everyone a chance to find their mates.
But the question is, will doing so bring back the Hunters?

The main idea here at first is for the new generation wolves to at last find out what they are and find more of their kind. Later in the RP, as we get more members and more wolves joining the pack, then we can find out if Hunters take notice and pick up where they left off...
Simple enough, right? Plenty of room for other stuff to go down as well!
For those of you who don't know about mates, or not sure what version since there's always different ways to go about it and such, in this RP, mates for Werewolves are their SoulMates given to them by the Moon Goddess.
Upon meeting your mate, you just... Know. There's sparks and tingles when the two touch, there's a sense of recognition between the two when they look at each other, and, of course, the butterflies and immediate attraction.
Now, because most of the new generation wolves are still learning about what it means to be a Werewolf, not everyone knows the telltale signs of finding their mate. some often become confused about these new sensations they can't control.
There are two different 'groups' of wolves at the beginning of this RP, wolves who have been found and joined the pack(and of course are helping to find others of their kind) and those that are still lost.
