  • It had been a day since the raid and Thunderclan was starting to realize what had happened. Their alliance with Riverclan was most likely nothing but ash at this point, the relationship between the two neighboring clans crumbling like dry leaves under a heavy paw. Asphodelpaw had his plate full to the brim, the medicine cat working hours on end to try and keep up with all the changing of dressing for old wounds and treating the new ones that had trickled in over the course of the day. Lambstar had helped with a fair number of them, but letting Asphodelpaw do most of the healing with only a few interjections from the leader while he mixed poultices and dressed wounds.

Lambstar appeared from the medicine cat den, legs stiff and awkward as she hobbled over to the High Rock, alabaster paws brushing against smooth stone as she prepared to call her first meeting. It was long overdue and there were lots of things to talk about, though the most important topic of this meeting was apologizing to her clanmates on her own behalf. She wasn't going to make excuses for her actions; Lambstar might be young, but she was old enough to know what she did had been wrong and selfish. She needed to let her clan know that something this dire would never happen again.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, meet me under the Highrock. There's a lot to discuss today, so please bear with me." Lambstar's shaky voice echoed through the barren camp. Most of the clan was either on patrol, getting checked out by Asphodelpaw or resting up in their dens. She prayed to Starclan that they would all forgive her for her mistakes.

    meeting to do list:

    - address riverclan/bloodclan raid, apology from lamb.

    - slatewing to warrior, nightkit and rustkit to apprentices.

    - firepaw getting thrown out (oops)

    - shoutouts, welcomes to bitterstorm + gorgepaw

    - misc things, please post if you need a ceremony or something addressed! <3

    - border discussion?

Flameseeker had just returned from a sole hunting patrol when she heard the call for a meeting. It had been a long time since she heard those words last. With a small limp the fire pelted feline would sit down to listen to what Lambstar had to say.

  • MoonWatcher still wasn't allowed to leave the medicine cat den, which was for the best since any movement made pain shoot through her body. She hear Lambstar call for a meeting and did her best to listen from where she was laying next to Firepaw.

he wasn't surprised by lambstar's call for a meeting, and slowly made his way out of the apprentice's den and into the hollow. his expression was unreadable as he sat down, though the tom was visibly favoring his right side to compensate for his shoulder. there were several topics that needed to be addressed in this meeting, and gorgepaw could only hope that everything went well.

LAY YOUR BODY DOWN, LAY YOUR BODY DOWN

  • ASPHODELPAW ;;

-----> Asphodelpaw rubbed at his eyes as he stood outside the medicine den. He would've liked to stand in the medicine cat's proper place beneath the high rock, but he needed to make sure his patients didn't make a break for it. Also to relay what Lambstar said to them if they couldn't here. He was filled with apprehension as to what Lambstar was to announce. Mainly, he hoped she'd prove herself the powerful figure Thunderclan greatly needed right now.

  • Lambstar finally got her head on straight as the cats started to gather under the Highrock, the flashes of eyes catching her hazel gaze as the leader edged a little bit closer to the end of the stone, the bottom dropping off only inches from where her paws rested on cool smooth stone. "Thunderclan," The leader began, voice wavering as she took a stiff seat as her legs were screaming at her to take all of her body weight off of them. "I'd like to apologize for...for everything. The raid on Riverclan was my fault and I just wanted you all to know that...I'll learn from my mistakes, the things that happened at the raid will never happen again." Lambstar took a deep breath as her eyes flickered over each of the faces tilted up towards her, their gazes boring into her as she struggled to continue, throat tightening anxiously as she forced herself to breathe and calm down.

"On to lighter news, I'd like to see Rustkit and Nightkit. These two have proven themselves worthy and are of the age to begin their training. You two will now be known as +Rustsky and {Nightpaw} ; Rustpaw, you will train under the watchful eye of Greybreeze and Nightpaw, I will watch over you in the meantime until I can find you the perfect mentor to help you in your long journey to warriorhood. Congratulations, you two." Lambstar drew in a quick breath before pressing her nose to both of the newly-appointed apprentices' foreheads. Nightpaw and Rustpaw...two new apprentices that would make great warriors someday, she just knew it.

" Slatewing , could you please step forward? You've been...an incredible apprentice and your advancement to becoming a warrior is long overdue. Starclan has spoken and Slatepaw...you will now be known as Slatewing, congratulations, love." The last part of the sentence was whispered so that only Slatewing could hear, her head ducked slightly as she pressed her nose to the silky grey fur of the female's forehead, but not before giving her a quick affectionate lick on her cheek before stepping back, a mixture of positive emotions swimming in hazel pools of color.

oh, i've never seen you like this.

  • Nightkit blinked in shock as Lambstar called her name. She licked down a few pieces of fur that was sticking out from her chest before she trotted forward. She sat before her leader as she was given her new name and a thrill passed through her as Lambstar announced that she would monitor her for now. She sat tall and proud dipping her head respectfully as Lambstar touched her forehead before she stepped back and sat beside her father. Was he proud? She didnt dare take her eyes off of Lambstar as she gave Slatepaw her warrior name and she softly purred in happiness.

  • YY4djYg.gif There was a lot to talk about and Sunpaw was here to listen. The apprentice had gotten away from the raid with a couple of cuts here and there. Nothing compared to what she saw out there. Her green eyes linger on the young leader before her, listening. She was feeling a lot of things but had no words to say so far. Instead she looked around for Slatepaw, feeling happy for them. But she would miss their presents in the apprentice den. "" .

Blizzard watched the young leader with slight contempt. She was the reason Blackstorm lay feebly in the medicine cat den, barely alive. Why did they have to have such a young, inexperienced leader? Well, she experienced something alright. Anyways, he watched his daughter receive her apprentice name. He would finally be able to take her out into the forest under the ruse of going on patrols or even hunting. Sadly his thoughts were cut short as a searing headache began to plague him. But the meeting was not finished, so he stayed out, his stub of tail drumming against the ground behind him.

  • Rainypaw appeared at Lambstar's beckoning. The curly-furred leader looked a beacon of hope at this moment, and the cream and chococlate-furred apprentice was more than curious to hear what Lambstar had to say. The molly spotted her brother, her poor brother. He seemed to be silently bowing under everything, and all Rainy could think was poor Asp. Rainypaw approached him cautiously, not wanting to lose an eye, and made her spot beside him, waiting for the meeting to proceed.

  • Amber eyes blazing Ravenfang walked over to the high rock with Silverstorm, Honeypaw, and Minnowpaw hot on his heels. He looked as though he had a permanent glare on his face as he sat down to listen to the clan meeting. Silverstorm sat next to him running her tail up and down his back in an attempt to soothe her brother's anger. The sweet almost not understanding of what happened apprentices sat next to her making sure to be quiet so they didn't get their ears clawed off by the dark gray tabby.

  • Slatepaw

Slatepaw had managed to slip out of the medicine den, but only because her wounds weren’t as deep as others’. Her muscles complained, but she pushed her way into the crowd of now gathering clanmates, pale green eyes trained on Lambstar. The orbs studied her carefully, taking in the weary and anxious stance.

“It’s not all your fault.” the tabby protested, but in Lambstar’s droopy hazel eyes, she saw a sadness and guilt that not even Slatepaw could mend. The laperm would have to work hard to repay both ThunderClan and RiverClan.

But it was going to be okay. Slatepaw would be there for every damn step.

Muscles relaxing, the striped molly paused, to look around for her younger sister. Apprenticeship, huh?

Rustkit. They hadn’t often seen eye-to-eye, but Slatepaw learned at least put up with the younger girl. The oriental only offered her siblings a small nod.

The apprentice den was going to be really crowded. Not that she even really slept there anyway.

Rolling her shoulders, Slatepaw yawned, large jaws clamping shut, before she realized Lambstar had called her name.

    Uh.. me?

The tabby glanced around uncertainly, as she hadn’t expected to be mentioned in this meeting.

    Unless..

Pale orbs of glass widened, and the fur on her neck rose with anticipation.

The female sat up, and made eye contact with Lambstar. And on cue, she stepped forward, holding her breath.

‘Your advancement to becoming a warrior is long overdue’

Slatepaw flushed, a small anxious smile landing on her maw as she realized that, heck, she was becoming a warrior.

    Oh man.

She had been expecting it, but it seemed so sudden right now. Her pale green eyes widened, and she had a dumb idiot smile on her maw, as she lowered her head.

    Slatewing.

She liked it. Wings of stone. It’d be awful hard to fly with those, but she’d make it work.

Nuzzling Lambstar, her pelt flushed, and an embarrassing purr tumbled in her throat.

“Thanks, lambface” she mewed softly, holding her muzzle close, before she looked up to face her family and clan.

She recognized some faces. Nightkit, her younger sibling. Sunpaw, who was getting a little braver one pawstep at a time. Blizzard, whom Slatewing still despised. Others whom she was yet to interact with.

Promise I won’t let you down

// sorry everyone..! i haven’t had much time to post. i’m hoping this weekend i can get to everything ;; thanks for being patient <33

  • YY4djYg.gif She felt a twinge of jealous course through her body, but that was silly. It was a good thing the two she-cats were together and happy. The apprentice looks up at the newly made warrior, her green eyes meeting with theirs. A smile quickly comes over her face, "Slatewing! Slatewing! Slatewing!" she began to chant, getting some npcs to join in with her. Sunpaw was happy for her friend, though she would miss their presents in the apprentice den.

Blizzard watched on, his face devoid of emotion. But those who knew him, could probably tell there was a hint of pride in that cold facade of his. Nightkit may have been adopted, but he didn’t care for her any less. It was also a secret he’d take to his grave. “Congrats!”

  • //stonekit, petalkit and starkit are now apprentices! sorry for overlooking them <3

There were still many things to get to in this meeting; it was sure to be a ride. "Blizzard, could you please step up? It's time you receive your official warrior name. You've had a...rocky start in Thunderclan, but I think you and me both know that you've certainly changed for the better and I hope you continue to get better. BLIZZARDCRY } , you will now be known as Blizzardcry, welcome officially to Thunderclan." Lambstar spoke, trotting forward and reaching up on the fronts of her paws to press her nose to Blizzardcry's forehead. She knew that he would only improve in time...hopefully.

Next on her list was...Firepaw. Firepaw, who was a known traitor to both Bloodclan and Thunderclan, had come back to them injured and broken. She didn't want to do what she was about to do, but it was for the safety of her clan and that's what was most important to her. Nobody would harm her clanmates, not if she could help it. "Firepaw came back to us a few days ago injured and I...he can't join Thunderclan again. It hurts my heart to say, but when firefly! is done healing, I 'd like a small patrol to escort him out of camp and off of Thunderclan territory. I'm sorry it has to be this way, but...I just can't have traitors in Thunderclan, not after what has happened as of late. I can't risk more Thunderclan lives, I just...I can't." Lambstar felt the signature clench of her heart that sprouted up when she had to do something difficult. The curly-furred molly did not look happy up on Highrock, her hazel eyes watery and her ears lowered against her head.

"I won't sacrifice Thunderclan lives for a single life who can't figure out where his loyalties lie."

oh, i've never seen you like this.

    you're scaring me to death.

  • ASPHODELPAW ;;

-----> Asphodel found himself sighing deeply. Reluctancy drapes over his shoulders like a lead weight, begging him to stay seated. He would normally have - gladly, even - but upon looking over his shoulder, to the way Moon presses against fire, he’d sigh deeply.

“Lambstar, I implore you to reconsider,” Asphodelpaw said as he rose to his feet. His pelt itches at the knowledge he was interrupting a leader during a ceremony, and the itch became a burn when he realized he was technically breaking the code. But this was one regret he needed to set right...or to at least try to.

“It was my fault. I’m the reason he left Thunderclan. He made a huge mistake Lambstar but only because I broke him,” gaze remaining locked on Lambstar, he struggled to express just how much this meant to him, “I don’t know what he did to you in Bloodclan, but he did try to an inch of his life to take it back during the raid” Even though Asp has snarled hurtful things to Firepaw even during the battle, he had been impressed by how the guy had stood up to Bloodclan. He almost died to fix his wrongs. Could he not deserve some second chance for that? “We all are not without faults. Firepaw was an arrogant idiot, but I’m sure he never went out of his way to hurt anyone during his time as a Bloodclan and he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Can’t we at least give him a chance to redeem himself?”
