history brief. blair has no real memory of her parents, she couldn't even describe them to you if you asked her too. she doesn't remember them because her older brothers kyler and luca raised her. she does know that her father lives out of the bottle and has always been like that, how he managed to raise two kids is a total mystery to her but from the stories she's been told it seems like they raised themselves with the help of neighbors and other family members checking on them every now and again. she can't say she had the worst life because she didn't, her brothers tended to her every need and made sure had what she needed when she needed it. but she always felt some type of way because her father completely disappeared when she was born, it was like she was completely unwanted by him for whatever reason. her brothers tried to tell her that it wasn't like that, that he just left because he was a drunk but she never believed them. as far as their mother is concerned, she doesn't know where the woman might be or if she's even still breathing. she's been told that she was just as bad as their father.

(physical) she's always hearing compliments about her eyes. they're a bright blue/green mix that tend to stand out a little more than she'd like but hey, they are pretty. she stands at the height of 5'8" making her on the taller side but just barely. as expected, she has a very feminine body type so she looks pretty normal. she's got long blonde that is naturally straight but is a bit on the thicker side, it comes about to her shoulder blades. so it's a good length but most days she'll usually have it up because she doesn't wanna deal with it.

(mental) blair is the type to say whatever comes to her mind without giving a damn who's feelings she might be hurting in the end, people ask for the truth so she gives it. most of her comments are rather sarcastic, it's surprising sarcastic isn't her middle name. but she's not completely all bad, she does actually care for people and she can be kind to those she wants to be. now she might not say it out loud that she cares for people and their well being but her actions do. she'll always make sure they're okay before she takes care of herself.

history brief. to say that jay is a mysterious person is an understatement. his lips are unbelievably tight when it comes to the history of him, and the topic is something that he's always shunned. it's mainly known that he was born in 1802, in vienna, italy. his father was a prestigious doctor, as his mother was a stay at home mom. he had one younger sister, aurora. he had a fairytale life growing up, and stayed at home as he worked to become a apothecary like his father. however, he was bit before he could possibly do that. he was bedridden for days, with what his mother swore was another plague, as he screamed in pain and felt as if his life had been strangled from his own body. it wasn't until the eighth day that his fangs came out and he had a thirst unlike no other that he realized exactly what had happened.

knowing his families strictly catholic faith, as well as the state of hatred for vampires in italy at the time, he told the only person he could trust: aurora. she was sworn to secrecy and that night, she helped him back before he fled into the darkness, leaving nothing but a note of thanks and love.

however, many don't know that he traveled around europe for almost a century afterwards, finding the beauty in every little city. he only came back to italy in 1860, in hopes of finding his sister. instead, he found the remains of their family home and the grave of his parents. heartwrenched, he vowed to never step foot in italy, as the idea of his family in shambles because of his departure was too much to bare and he felt as if he would fear the result of his dearest sister. instead, he continued his voyage, and had to flee europe in 1942 because of world war 2.

he found refuge in the great apple and started his new life. he fell in love with a woman by the name of violet, and she made his heart swell. however, it was never meant to be. he only got to spend what felt like a second in his life with her, as she fell very ill shortly after they were to be wed. he sat by her death bed and told her what he was, begging her to let him turn her so she could live forever with him. she sadly just smiled, putting her hand against his jawline before murmuring a soft, "this is how it's meant to be," the last words he'd hear from her. she died later that night.

after his death, he struggled to find any sort of meaning. it wasn't until he found himself wanting to back into the art of medicine again, in hopes of following his father's dream that he had any sort of fulfillment in his grieving life.

somewhere along the line, he found himself in california, where he found his very own home; a place where vampires like him lived. he quickly moved into the compound and has been there ever since 1978, working as a doctor to help out those around him while he continues his studies outside of that world.

(physical) he stands at 6'3, and has a rather athletic build. his hair is rather long, and he has a bit of scruff along his jawline. his aesthetic has a bit of a debonair vibe, as he's usually very well dressed and prestigious. when he's trying to dress down, his normally wears plain long sleeve shirts with his favorite cloth jacket and a maroon scarf that looks to be hand-sewn. his eyes are of a soft, dark brown nebula, and his has a very warm smile for such a pristine guy. he has a small limp in his right leg and often times carries around a cane to help him walk.

(mental) level-headed and thoughtful, that's what people would describe jay as being. on the outside, he's very put together and official, causing many to doubt that he even takes his own problems with anything but ease. however, he does suffer from slight depression. a constant, overwhelming feeling of loneliness is always caught in his throat, making it hard to swallow when he's downing his seventh bottle of liquor at night, trying his best to keep his mind at bay. he's a bit of a workaholic because of this, wanting nothing more than to avoid the house he calls home, as the silence drives him nothing more than insane.

history brief. a life well lived. that's all raven wanted to say for herself. however, her upbringings were rough and only helped lead her to the point of becoming undead. she was born in the big apple itself, nyc, to a rather famous writer for a mother and a famous journalist for a father. an empty house is what she became friends with, her older brother taking care of her before going into the room as he had his own demons to overcome. it was strange to her, a house full of people yet she still felt her loneliness. when they did go out in public, she felt as if she could never do right. her parents wanted her to look perfect, act perfect, and act like a superficial family for even just five minutes. she always felt as if she wasn't doing enough, and wasn't sure how to cope with it.

tragedy eventually struck as her father lost his job due to a harrassment suit filed against him. now, raven saw her parents every day, though it was more arguing than ever. her mother finally left him when she was 12, taking her things in the middle of the night and letting her children wake up in an empty, loveless home. her father was never the same after that, drinking more and more. he was a shell of a man.

her brother grew sick of it eventually, and a huge fight broke out on his 19th birthday after he made a fool of them in public. he had promised that night that he wouldn't drink, but his alcohol bill was more than the food bill alone and suddenly, the tables had turned. there was no more "stay professional, look a certain way," there was just judging eyes as her father drunkenly hit on the waitress, his words slurring. as soon as they got home, the house filled with harsh words that could cut. raven listened from the stairs, her hands shakily grasping the railing as almost everything seemed to break one more time. that night, her brother ran up the stairs with her wrist in his hand, telling her to pack her bags. they left that night, her face pressed against the window as she said goodbye to the house of horrors that was her home.

they didn't have a plan at all. she was only 15; she could only do but so much. her brother had been saving up but, it wouldn't be enough to do but so much. they made it all the way out to california, and he looked at her and smiled before murmuring, "this is where the dreamers live." she smiled, feeling as if she herself was a dreamer, her forehead pressed against the glass as she looked at the hollywood sign.

life was hard for about a year. in and out of hotel rooms, sleeping in the car. it was a hard, hard life, but finally, her brother got an apartment. it wasn't in the best area but, she'd take it. anything to try to make it out in this world. she started to go out to sell her paintings, it was something she had done to keep the time up when she wasn't doing online schooling, and she had gotten pretty good. it wasn't a lot but, it was extra cash for them to get groceries occasional.

she met a girl named cecelia doing this. she was almost everything she'd dreamed of, a beautiful blonde girl with a stunning smile and a taste for the arts. they weren't much at first, just coffee buddies after raven sold her last painting for the day but they soon became more. the girl was a bit older than raven; she was only 17 while the girl was 21, but raven felt like it was love. she was never one for being naive but this? this felt like it was it.

once raven turned 18, she moved out of her brother's house and into cecelia's home. it quickly became theirs, overturn with plants and paintings and a touch of both of them. raven was a artist, she was a barista. everything seemed.. perfect?

things started to turn south, after a while. there were more fights than ever. cecelia had just.. changed one night. for a while, she had been sick but once she got better, she had a temper that wouldn't stop and a tongue that swore harsh words. the tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. finally, raven said it was it one night, and before she could leave, cecelia quickly stepped before the door. they ended up making up, and cecelia sat raven down to talk to her.

the last thing raven can remember about that night is a sharp pain in her shoulder. they had went to go to bed after crying their eyes out, and before she had drifted off to sleep, a pain flooded her shoulder and cecelia's hand covered her mouth. she woke up the next morning feeling like hell, and with a note that simply said i'm sorry beside her. the next few weeks were a confusing haze as she stayed at home, getting sick in every way possible as she found herself more and more in pain as the weeks went on. she thought she was going to die, but wasn't ready to just call the hospital yet.

eventually, she started to get better, but when she was finally able to stand again, she found the bite mark that was oh so deep in her shoulder. shocked, she traced it and did as much research as she could before coming to the conclusion that it had to be a vampire bite. it had to; as ridiculous as it sounded it was the only possibility. her suspicions were only confirmed when she felt her fangs against her tongue.

for a while, everything was simply confusing, but a few months after being turned she located the safe haven located in the silicon valley, where she has since moved into and is sharing a condo with somebody.

(physical) raven's a girl of average height, standing at 5'3, and at slightly above average weight, weighting approximately 140 lbs. she's somewhat curvy, and her body type is an hourglass figure. she has short, dark brown hair that reaches her shoulders, as well as grey eyes. her skin is that of a porcelain complexion, very very pale and almost as white as snow. she dresses very modern, wearing styles that might be in though her clothing tends to be on the darker side of the color scale. occasionally she adds in pops of teals and mustards, with her favorite light color being a creme colored sweater she wears in the winter. she's almost always wearing jeans or leggings, and has one particular pair of boots that she's worn to the point of almost destroying them.

(mental) most people just haven't heard raven talk. she's always been quiet, to the point where she's borderline mute, as she has not much to say and mainly thinks. however, when she does talk, it can come off as being a bit cynical or rude, though she never means to come off that way. she can appear to be standoffish, feeling very insecure when the attention is on her and tries her hardest to stay out of it.

luka was born in 1747 in sviyazhsk, russia into a large family of 10 - one mother, one father, him, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. he was the youngest of his brothers, and the second youngest of his sisters. they led a modest life - his father was a businessman while his mother simply stayed at home and cared for him and his siblings. although his memory is slightly foggy when it comes to his childhood, he remembers that his life was simple and he spent many days simply lying in a field of flowers near his home. he decided to go to a local college and pursue a career in journalism. in 1771 he quickly contracted the russian plague and was near death when he visited his flower field one more time. when he was there, a vampire happened upon him and turned him then and there. luke quickly hid from his family and sneakily boarded a cargo ship on its way to california to avoid emotional damage and found the coven.
