  • Amour had a child as well? Well, it was just Soundcheck's day today, wasn't it? As he listened to Yuu's suggestion, he nodded. "Yes, I agree with a curfew as well. It's a good idea." He had to stop the hesitant tone from creeping in his voice, remembering how Elian got captured by Mingan. Didn't he break curfew? And that's how he ended up caught. Didn't seem to change him though. The male glanced at the ground, a thoughtful look on his face. Forget about that laughing fit. He needed time to think this over.

  • koday’s ears perked and his head swiveled towards honeydrop as she returned his greeting, giving her a as she turned her attention back towards doomy as the leader spoke quickly about the newcomers and the ranks and the shoutouts and titles and promotions and...ascension quests, whatever those were. and so the direwolf went into focus as well. however it was as all the titles were announced and shoutouts given that the direwolf gave honey a small, playful nudge of congratulations to her, his face beaming with some sort of expression like ‘good job’, if that could even be conveyed through a look. and of course, for charlie who had also gotten those as well as the trailblazer title, he looked towards her, extending his paw to give her a quick pat on the back. they both had just joined, and they were already getting titles and shoutouts? and not just that, they had been promoted. damn. hardworkers, weren’t they? he’d certainly have to step his game up to match them.

adjusting to life of the veil? as far as getting used to the people here, yes, he was adjusting and doing well. his friendship with honey and charlie and few others were holding strong so far, but finding his way around was a hard no as far as adjusting as of now. hell, he had practically walked in a giant circle in an attempt to get here, and only realized the mistake he made when he saw that the masses around him were going the exact opposite direction he was going. so, he had taken that as a clue and turned his butt around and followed them all the way here. he had even stricken up some awkward conversation with a stranger over....something random. probably something about the glowing mosses and algae, to make his turn-around seem more casual and less like he had no idea where he was going. did he care about what they would think if he just blatantly turned around? well, if he were honest, just a little bit. like, just partially. and not because he was uncomfortable with others looking at him. no, he was fine with that. it was just the fact that when it came to stuff with other he didn’t quite know, he tried to save his image and make it look like he had more than just a few brain cells. which, if anyone could read his thoughts, they would realize quite quickly that he, truly, only had a few of those lucky brain cells left. or so it seemed, at least. because koday was smart, he truly was, he just used his brain rather....selectively. and as for figuring out how to move about this place, it would of course, just be something he would have to get used to over the time he lived here, just as it had taken time to learn how to get about the prison that everyone lived in during his stay in the exiles.

    speaking of the exiles...

as soon as the name ‘the exiles’ left doomy’s mouth, koday’s smile faded noticeably, his body becoming tense. it was probably the most serious he had ever looked during his stay so far here, and for good reason. the direwolf’s golden gaze narrowed in focus, attention, and worry. and what, exactly, did he have to worry about? well...he had led the exiles. in fact, he had been one of the ones that led the changes in it, shifting it from a barbaric clan to a peaceful one that didn’t start violence, but rather only ended it when others started it with them. it took lots of time, patience, and energy, but he had done it. he had created a peaceful environment and with some clans, redeemed the exile’s reputation and name. he worked hard, kept calm while being yelled and screamed at for just existing, just to help them move on from their past and go forth into a better, happier, less isololated and destructive life. he had brought peace and order to what was considered one of the most horrid, uncontrollable, and barbaric lands.

and it seemed his intentions and ideology didn’t stick.

the thought of it caused koday’s muscles to tense and teeth to clench, his lip lifting just barely in distaste. was it anger that he felt now? anger towards the leaders he put into place after him didn’t listen? as far as he had known, perry had done as koday had done and did well...but what happened after that? koday knew lav took over after perry, though he had never seen him as one that still held the need for battle and blood. though, when koday returned for just a while he had seemed scared to inform koday of the changes...had lav changed everything? or was it athena? he held each one so dear, and each one had actively participated in the changes he wanted to make. so what the actual hell happened? what went wrong, and why? he had worked his ass off and things went well...and now.....now....

the prince’s claws instinctively dug into the stone underneath him, the tense and upset air around him becoming increasingly obvious. his gaze, usually friendly and welcoming, was hardened and cold, almost brooding. it wasn’t often that koday got upset. no, in fact it was a pretty rare case as he often just brushed things off. but even if he had never heard of, nor met, whoever this mingan was, the thought of everything surrounding the situation caused rather unpleasant feelings to erupt from him. the exiles he had worked so hard to correct, had fallen and now birthed a child killing and stealing witch. defenseless children. what kind of sick physco was she?

"I can help enforce curfew and do regular patrols for protection." koday added quickly. his usually relaxed voice and air seemingly gone in the moment. while there was anger and frustration within his gaze, protectiveness burned brighter and more fiercely. this was, indeed, one of those times that he would actually use his brains and focus on what needed to be done. because whatever the hell had happened to the clan he once led, he didn’t know....but he knew what it was like before. he knew the tactics they used, or the lack thereof. he knew exactly what they were capable of...and if they had reverted back to what they were before he changed things, even if it was just an individual, he was willing to force himself into being serious rather than goofy for until the threat was gone.

    "Speech." + tags & plotting

  • The sudden appearance of Honeydrop and Koday warmed her heart, and she thought, Well, perhaps I'm not so alone after all...she offered them both fond smiles before moving her silver eyes to Winterdoomsday as the meeting began in earnest. She appreciated the welcome - her blue-tipped tail wagged and didn't stop the meeting rolled on. There was an immense amount of information to process, and her smile remained in place for much of it. Sociable and Trailblazer, huh? There you go...

Charlotte appreciated the titles and was glad that her Clanmates were being recognized as well. She enjoyed watching Yuu's ceremony and felt a shimmer of satisfaction at the use of her idea. The next piece of the meeting surprised her: the promotions - not all of them, just hers. Eyebrows quirked above widening eyes and the brand-new Duskguard was unable to keep from feeling the warmth of pride in her chest. She felt pleasure at the recognition, of course - but she was also a creature built for service. It was not even a facet of her to praise her on - it was simply the way she was wired. To be part of the scaffolding that held up a Clan and made it run was the perfect task for an obedient dog such as herself. She had been called "doormat" more than once in her loner life for her tendencies to follow whoever gave instructions; but here, it was providing a motivation for her to contribute and thus be able to serve in greater ways.

Her attention shifted off the good news and onto the bad, listening closely to the news of the Exiles and Mingan and following the discussion of children and a curfew with solemn interest. She felt she had nothing original to offer to the discussion and so stayed silent.

  • " KAZUMI DARLING "

Kauzmi had been there the whole time, lurking around in the background as he had been listening to the conversation this 'Biggy's' were sharing with one other. Most of what they said reached to a new level of what he was capable to understand about. That...frustrated him a bit, wanting to know every single thing since he believed the more knowledge he had the more he would come to understand how to get himself through this life. So he was listening alot more then what he usual would have done if this had been about something he alot more easier could pick up from. Twitching his ears when his name got mentioned would ros ehis gaze a bit to look over at the person how had called his name out to give him some sort of acknowledge of his existence here. Kazumi. It seemed the name Amour had given to him already had become something everyone else had started to call him by. Even himself had started to slowly get used with having a name as well. The conversation then moved on to bring up more unsettling matters that involved himself.

Up until know had thought that Shadow veil was a safe place to be. Amour had promised him that but now it seemed to be alot more complicated then that. Someone was stealing children and he happend to be one so that meant his safety were at a risk.

Amour seemed to bring out a importand point when it come to this child kidnapper. Children needed more supervision and to stay in camp. That seemed like a fair rule to follow in his opinion not really having been outside of camp this far anyway because he already knew what to except out there, the dangers that lurked around. Perhaps that was what made him more intelligent then many other children in his own age. To bluntly put it could also point out he not could understand how naive some kids actually could be. There wheren't many kids in this clan so he couldn't actually give much of a opinion on those how got raised here but outside of this walls Kazumi had seen what happend to kids how went out alone in the world, running, playing like ringing the dinner bells for the predators. It was a ugly sight that had followed knowing that was how he had learned to stay hidden and keep attention away from himself.

Rosing to his paws at a final last the direhound woul start to approch closer towards Amour to take his seat beside her now. Twitching his nose would glance up at her. "Curfew?." he asked her with a quiet down voice not understanding what that meant at all. For some reason not understanding what that word meant seemed to bother him more then anything else, perhaps because it did involved himself consider his age so felt like it was importand to understand what rules where expected for him to follow.

  • The announcement of her, Ace, and Charlie's promotions had the feline beaming once more. She was ecstatic that they had all reached this milestone together, seeing as they were currently two of her closest friends. Feeling a light bump on her shoulder, the ebony femme turned to see Koday smiling down at her. His kindness had her returning the expression automatically, and she also leaned over to brush against Charlie in a similar gesture. She couldn't help but feel yet again that joining Shadow Veil had been a wonderful decision; she had friends now, and family. However, that joy was soon dampened by Winter's next news; the exile of Mingan and the apparent danger that she now presented. Honey was new to the clan scene, so she wasn't aware of who Mingan was or what she'd done, but the worry of the others made her worry in turn. The molly remained quiet while everyone discussed enforcing a curfew.

  • The first announcement from Winterdoomsday was positive, and he gave a rumble of welcome to all of the new faces which he saw around him. His dark eyes blinked cheerily - meetings seemed to be fairly enjoyable, if this were what he would be expecting.

The next news surprised him. Ace blinked. 'Sociable'? Well, that did seem to describe he and the small group which had received the title, and he grinned his thanks towards his mother, blinking towards Charlie, Honeydrop, and Yuu in congratulations, his own expression lit with a pleasant sort of pride.

Yuu had indeed completed an Ascension quest, and though Ace definitely wasn't the male's biggest fan, he gave them a pleasant huff. That ring looked pretty cool - he wondered if...?

Ah, there it was. His own ring. The ebony tom stood to receive the jewellery, dipping his head happily at the Paramour and carrying it back to his seating place. He wondered how he would wear it... probably on a necklace. Or perhaps on some sort of bracelet? The opportunities were endless. He beamed at it, admiring the inscriptions. Thorns... looked pretty cool to him.

He was distracted by his name again. Duskguard? Along with Charlie and Honeydrop? His face opened into a brilliant beam, turning to grin at his half-sister, and one of his newest friends. This was... a good day.

He even tuned out all the bad stuff later on, instead choosing to admire his new accessory and titles with pride.
