also, yes. that sounds like a plan. i'm sort of leaving my characters up to chance and just seeing which ones live and die. ya know? not really planning it out.

and sure, i can make a group chat over pm. i'm still going to plot on this thread, but that can be a chat thread where we just talk about nonsense and the thread

    full name: Caleb Zachariah Holmes

    nickname[s]: Cal or sometimes Zac

    name meaning: A dog, faithful

age: 562 years (Looks anywhere between 17 and 22)

    zodiac: Aquarius

    gender: Male

    sexuality: Pansexual, demiromantic

    species: Vampire

history: Caleb was born in 1456, to a rather wealthy family in the fifteenth century. He was raised as a wealthy land owner, and as such was heir to the land and its occupants. Not long after his 18th birthday, he met a beautiful woman, she was a guest to his fathers, court and they soon fell in love. She was a vampire, and an old one at that, and promised him eternal life with her. He had agreed, happily under her influence, and because she had been feeding him her blood for weeks, she turned him and told him to feed on his family to be with her forever. Once he'd had a taste, he slaughtered his family, all five brothers and three sisters, parents, uncles, aunts, ladies and lords, everyone within a five mile radius, and she had rejoiced in it. He became a ripper and she only encouraged his behavior, for years, they became a well known duo of death, and in the 17th century, she was killed by a hunter, and he was devastated, turned his humanity off and destroyed everything in his path. After years of rage and grief, he mellowed out some and adjusted to the times a bit, instead of taking things out in blood and hunger, he found actual human contact brought a much higher high, he went to college, he learned languages and instruments, he taught himself to cook and to draw and to write and filled his time with learning to muffle the hunger. At some point study grew dull and he found himself floating, he still cared little for human emotion, but instead of spiraling in gallons of blood or forcing his thoughts on anything other than blood, he settled somewhere in the middle and found that he at last was ready for love again, he was ready to get attached, and ready to have someone to lean on besides himself. He's been alone for long enough, and he figures he'll start with high school.

kin: He slaughtered his entire family

    love interest[s]: Open

friends: He's not the "friends" type

foes: Many, he was a ripper for a long time, and didn't try not to have enemies, he just didn't care.

    age: 17 years old

    zodiac: Aries

    gender: Male

    sexuality: Straight

    species: Human

history: Sawyer has had a fairly average life, he was no superman per say but he had been taught to be grateful for what he has. He was raised by his mother and his grandfather on his mothers side. His father had died from leukemia when he was four, and so he had very little memory of Samuel McQueen. His mother moved back in with her parents and Grandma Margaret died when he was 11, a sweet woman who loved her grandchildren and made the best cookies. They lived in the old family house, it had a few bedrooms, his mother when she had been small shared a room with her sister and her brother had gotten his own room. Sawyer took Uncle Matt's room who now lived halfway across the country with his wife and two kids. Auntie Kate lived a few hours away with her family as well and visited with her small children every so often. However times were not so easy, they could barely afford to stay in the house, and Grandpa Will was getting old for living in a house with stairs. His mother was a nurse at the local hospital, Olivia McQueen was the best mother he could ask for, she cared about him and while she wasn't home often due to having to support him and Grandpa, she did her best to look after him. Then at age 16 he was diagnosed with Leukemia, the same Leukemia that killed his father. However his chances were better due to catching it early and him being young and strong, stronger than his father who's had a variety of other issues he had been fighting at the time he'd finally made it to the hospital. His mother was proactive, making sure he gets the best treatment and he has been doing well with Chemo so far and hopes of a recovery are high.

Her mother is never home, and her father is only home during the day. She practically raised herself from a young age, doing her best to avoid the physical abuse from her father and emotional abuse from her mother. She did her best but she always had bruises or scars from them, and then some for protecting her baby sister Sophie who was too young to not know how to get in trouble. When she was 13, her mother took off, no warning, just one day got up and left, leaving Jo and Sophie to fend for themselves against their father and against the world. It was also around that time that her father began to sexually abuse her as well. She did everything she could to protect Sophie from what Daniel Haverford would do to her, and despite her efforts, she wasn't able to protect Sophie from everything. At school, she drifted, doing some drugs with the stoners, joining the cheerleading team, and gaining some popularity, becoming the object of almost every boys attention and because she had learned that if she said no pain would follow. She learned to survive no matter the pain, and while she didn't really have her group, she got along with her squad, and she got high to get away from the pain.

kin: Daniel Haverford-father, Beth Haverford-mother, Sophie Haverford-little sister

    love interest[s]: Luke

friends: Wendy, Lillian, Andrea, Rose, Kendall

foes: Her father, anyone else who wants to be, Satine maybe

  • hey, Ech0

just real quick. we are only using vampires, humans, witches, and werewolves for the first season. we're introducing other species, such as originals, hybrids, and siphoners, later on. kind of like they do in the actual show. sorry, i should have mentioned that already. my bad.

  • Not to double post buttttt...Can Caleb and Kendall be love interests because a) I adore Arden Cho and b) I feel like it would kinda be great for them to fall in love with neither of them realizing what the other is, so they both think each other is human and they don't find out until like after they've fallen in love and don't know how to process it because they love each other but their not supposes to and all the angst and turmoil and pretty please <3 XD

Update: Can Jo be part of the girls group and are the werewolf group strictly werewolf's because I feel like it would be kinda fun for Sawyer to be the only human in that group and they all kinda take care of him when their roughhousing and he has no idea that they are werewolves. Sawyer is kinda that kid that everyone wants to protect because he's so honest and genuine and pure, and has a shit happening to him that shouldn't be. Jo's gonna be that popular girl who's part of their group of girls but is also friends with Wendy's group and is a cheerleader, and treated like an object by everyone so feel free to have any evil characters call her pet names and hit on her and give her all the unwanted attention and treat her like she's dumb even though she's not(She's no genius but she gets good enough grades, she wuld do better in school if it weren't for her crap family life and escaping from it by getting treated like crap by her peers so she just isn't able to succeed) and I feel like Caleb would immediately make himself known to all the supernatural what he is and where he stands and is just kinda like, don't mess with me and I won't mess with you.

The post was edited 1 time, last by Ech0 ().

  • speaking for myself here, but i wouldn't mind jo joining the girls group. in the end, they are all going to become one big group of friends. maybe jo can meet some of the girls at the party? and they become friends? that's how i figured they'd meet quinn.

can luke and jo have a thing? i feel like he would see her for who she really is and want to protect her. especially her innocence and from his own family [mostly his brother]. and he'd want to keep the supernatural world a secret from her as best he can and for as long as possible.

of course, he's going to have a thing for aura first. but then aura and scarlett have their thing [presumably once she's over warren and doesn't have drama with andrea anymore] and then luke can find love with jo. and he would refuse to turn her because, again, he wants to protect her. kind of like edwrad and bella. he wants her to stay human so she doesn't lose herself.

feel free to post once you're finished with jo's form <3

  • I like that, though don’t you already have the “Elena” of the group, because Jo isn’t really that girl, she’s used to being treated like an object and having to fend for herself, so I feel like if Luke tried to treat her well she almost wouldn’t accept it because she has know idea how to react when someone is nice to her and doesn’t want something from her, I feel like she would get introduced to the girl group at the party, kinda join and all the girls slowly get a sense of how crap her life is and she would hate the pity. I feel like if Luke tried to have a meaningful relationship with her she would kinda freak out a lot because she has no experience with it so he would have to be very patient with her.

  • yeah, luke is definitely patient. he's got that under his belt for sure. and he wouldn't be able to help himself from wanting to protect her because that's how he is with everyone that he cares for. but once she told him off, he'd ease up a bit and not treat her like a kid.

i don't think she'd be the "elena", exactly. she's way stronger and less whiny. she isn't fragile and luke will soon realize that.

i feel like rose would be friendly and cheerful toward jo and andrea would be a little skeptical at first but otherwise fine with her.

  • Yes, I feel like she would kinda just snap at him after a bit and be like, I know you've lived for hundreds of years and think the rest of us are so small we're practically ants in the grand scheme of your life, but I do know how to stand on my own two feet, I've survived this long without your care, and I don't need to stop now. Of course she would also soften the blow with a smooch, but he'd get the point. Also on a side note, is Luke sensitive, like how would he take her being a bit blunt with him, would he need reassurance that she wasn't meaning to be harsh or would he understand her and not take what she says to heart.

Also, I would love for Lillian and Jo to be friends first and then for Jo to start to fall for Luke due to exposure to him through Lillian, I feel like it would be cute if Lillian and Jo would basically joke about him behind his back and have conversations where its like, Lillian is pestering Jo about the details and then she annoys Luke when Jo confesses that she'd wished Luke had done this or whatever and Lillian tells Luke to man up and plant one on her or something.

Also, I'm finishing her form now and will have a post up tonight, hopefully as well.

Lastly, does anyone watch Doctor Who because I actually really like Jodie Whittaker and it's kinda killing me on the inside because I loved Peter Capaldi as the doctor too, so I'm having very conflicted feelings.

*:・゚✦ Caleb, Holmes —— I'd take a bullet for you...If you only knew

    IC:

Caleb lay staring up at the ceiling of his old apartment, one that he had owned for quite some time and had used lightly over the past 50 years or so since when it was built. Pulling the white sheets off his body, he savored the comfort the bed offered for only a moment more. Sighing, he sat up, his ivory skin looked ghostly in the meager rays that filtered through his heavy curtains. Twisting his ring on his right ring finger, he sighed again, wishing he could feel something, anything that would bring the spark back to his non-life. Glancing at the clock next to his king sized bed, he strolled leisurely to his dresser, pulling on a grey sweater and some blue jeans, he glossed over his crazy, dark brown curls before ultimately deciding he really didn't care all that much about his appearance.

After, he moved into his kitchen, pulling a blood bag from his fridge and sucking on it absently as he gathered his bag together, checked his phone to unsurprisingly, no texts, but he figured he would soon have many once he'd mingled and made some "friends". By the time he had everything together and had been a good little boy and made his bed, he popped the blood bag in the trash, and stepped out the door. Locking the door with his keys then throwing the lanyard into his back pocket, a tiny bit swing out, he headed to his car. Walking down the apartment corridor, down the elevator, and out into the parking lot, he settled into the comforting leather of his little black mini cooper. Driving down the street to the center of town, he curled his lips into a smile, the radio on full blast, and when he pulled into the school, he quickly fell back into his usual scowl.

He didn't even know why he was going through high school, again, but the little voice inside his head, the one that reminded him that as much as he pretended it wasn't he still had his emotions flipped on and that one little voice, said, because you want to be normal, you want to try a regular life and build from there, stopped obsessively learning, stop obsessively drinking people. Parking the mini coop, he stepped out, and yanked his plain, black schoolbag from the passenger seat. He strode across the lawn, knowing better then to try and wiggle his way into an unwelcoming clique, and finding himself judged.

Instead he lifted his chin, and sniffed, knowing he'd at least be able to smell the stench of wolf from one go, and if he was lucky he'd smell blood on other vampires, get a sense of who's who and who should be kept an eye on. Right off the bat, the oder of wolf could be smelled from a mile away, and it seemed as though there were a lot of them, shouldn't be a problem so long as he kept to himself. The next thing that wafter to his nose was the allure of fresh blood, coming from two people, a guy and a girl, siblings? Probably. Deciding to confront them instead of the wolves he figured was a better idea as they would be more of a threat.

He walked quickly over to them, tapped the male on the shoulder and introduced himself, "Mourning, I couldn't help but smell blood on the two of you" he said with meaning, "I hope your intentions are a pure as mine, see, I would like some peace, a life, and should you get in the way of that peace, we might just have a problem" he said sweetly, the threat lingering in the air.

*:・゚✦ Sawyer, McQueen —— Good people are like candles - they burn themselves up - to give others light

IC: Sawyer was already awake by he time his morning alarm went off, he sighed, pulled his navy pillows around his head wishing the alarm would shut its pie hole and he could resume his depressed thoughts. When the blaring noise persisted, he swung a hand over and turned the thing off. Wincing when his head pounded the second he sat up, he glanced over to his nightstand to see that his mother had left his chemo pills and a glass of water next to his alarm clock. Licking his lips, he tasted the yucky taste of morning mouth and gladly popped the pills in his mouth and washed down both the taste and the pills with cool water. Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he stepped up and walked over to the bathroom he shared with his mother. They lived in his grandparents house, and while he'd taken up residence in his uncle Matts' room, his mother stayed in the room she had shared with her sister. Grandpa still in the same room he'd started in when he bought this old house so long ago. The two rooms had shared access to the bathroom, but his mother was often out by the time he'd gotten up so he'd never had to fight her for the single toilet or shower. After relieving himself, brushing his teethe and scrubbing his face in the sink, he stepped back and stared at his pale, sickly looking skin, and the heavy dark eye bags under his blue eyes.

He sighed, today was supposed to be a good day, the start of a new year, his last chance to enjoy 'the wonders of high school". Walking back into his room, he yanked the drawer to his dresser further open, since he often left his drawers open partially anyways. Searching through the messy clothes for a bit, he found the striped shirt he was looking for, then moving upwards and pulling a brown sweatshirt, tan pants and a ball of socks. Pulling on the clothes he'd grabbed, he shoved the books left sprawled about on his desk into his Backpack then hurried downstairs to the smell of bacon and eggs. He smiled slightly at the sight of his grandfather eating said bacon and eggs and a plate with a cover over it.

"Hey Gramps" he greeted while following the pointed hand to the plate, he settled down in his chair at the table and wolfed down the food as quickly as possible. Nodding and grunting to any small talk Grandpa had to say. When he'd finished, he checked his watch and said goodbye to his Grandfather, as he shoved on some vans, grabbed his denim jacket and headed out the door.

He walked to school usually, he lived only a few blocks away like almost everyone else, and only in the winter would he either ride his bike or have his Grandpa drive when it was too cold to be out for long. He settled at an easy pace, ever since being diagnosed with Leukemia, he'd always be exhausted no matter what he was doing, so he figured although he could take the care with Grandpa everyday, he may as well be tired an enjoy the fresh air than go in the car and still be tired. After five minuted, he reached the school, and watched as Kendall ran straight into guy, some dude he'd never seen before and couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips as she practically hissed at him like a cat. He'd grown up here so while he didn't hang out with everyone, he knew almost everyone just from sheer exposure.

Then he spotted Scarlett, blonde hair just vanishing through the door to the cafeteria. He grinned, sucked in a deep breathe and jogged slowly after her, just crossing through the doorway as he spotted her sling an arm on top of Landon. He smiled, as the group waved him over, he was a drifter, but the group he always came back to was Scarlett, Landon and Warren, and by default, Rose, Andrea, and Kendall. He joined them quickly, and rubbed his shoulder slightly from lingering pain. Leukemia was a bitch, but his doctors said he was standing a good chance of beating it soon if he kept up the pace.

'Hey guys, how was your summer, ya know, since the pool party we all went to in July?" he asked. Wendy had thrown a huge pool party right at the end of July, it had been fun, with the usual amount of drunks and stoners lining the edges, and the jocks and cheerleaders in the center. They'd all met up, talked hung out and swam a bit. Sawyer wasn't a terrible swimmer but he tired quickly and Landon had had to help him out of the pool later in the night when Sawyer was struggling. Landon, Warren, and Scarlett had really been there for him since he'd been diagnosed with leukemia and he really appreciated them always looking out for him, how they were always able to tell when he was in pain or when he was getting tired, and he was glad he was back to seeing them every day now that school was started up again.

*:・゚✦ Jo, Haverford —— Been standing on the edge for way to long...Just waiting for the place that I belong...

IC: Jo woke with a start, the sound of her father banging around in the kitchen of their trailer home. She had been sleeping on the couch of the trailer for most of her life, her mother had once slept with her father in the bedroom, which now held only her fathers residence. Her sister Sophie would sleep over with her friends as often as possible, but when she did stay in the trailer, she shared the couch with Jo. Jo got up quickly, yanked her over sized T-shirt, leaving her bare breast to be seen, her panties covering very little until she could grab a long sleeved black and white crop top, some black skinny jeans, and her vans. She glanced at her outfit from the cracked mirror on the wall, and decided it would due. Edging past her father, who was clearly hungover and barely noticed her slip into the bathroom and close and lock the door. She went to the bathroom, brushed her teethe, washed her face, and applied some simple make up. Although her make up was often nothing special, she really did enjoy make up, the only reason she never did any more to her make up looks was due to the fact that she really didn't have the money to buy more. Most of her make up was leant from one friend or another, or bought with her meager spending money that she got from baby sitting her neighbors toddlers while they went out and got drunk.

She quickly pulled on some foundation, blush, a small wing and some mascara, then finished off with bright red lipstick. Smiling into the mirror hoping that if she could convince herself she was happy, then she'd be able to convince everyone at school she was too. It didn't work. Sighing, she proceeded to turn on the curling iron and curl her blonde hair into loose beach waves, leaving her hair down since she didn't currently have any hair elastics which she hoped to steal from some kids at school today. Once she finished she found Daniel waiting outside for her and was met with an angry Took you long enough before being shoved roughly out of the way, and bumping her hip painfully against the the door frame. However, she knew better then to talk back, and scrambled further out of the way in case he tried to close the door on her foot. Pulling herself up and blinking away tears at the fresh pain, knowing it would subside after a few seconds, she got to work putting her books into her bag and checking to see that there was no food in the house besides canned tuna, hot dog buns, and maybe one sip of milk in the fridge. Sighing she found her wallet from in between the couch cushions and saw that she had a 20 on her, and figured she'd spend it on lunch today.

Not saying goodbye to her dad who was currently puking into the toilet she'd vacated, and trotted out the door, snagging the car keys on the way out. Her father didn't have a license since it'd been revoked for being got drunk driving one too many times, and her mother had been gone for a few years now, so she had gotten her license as soon as physically possible, her father managing to sober up just long enough to get through the DMV and while it might seem out of character for him to do anything to help her, he had realized if she could drive herself, there was no reason he'd have to interact with her at all, she would gain total autonomy, so he'd managed and she'd gotten her learners permit at fifteen and a half and her full license six months later all spent droving on her own anyways since her father wouldn't spend time for her anyways.

Once in the old pick up truck, and after spending maybe two or three minutes trying to get it to start, and finally, driving off towards school from the edge of town where the trailer park that she lived in resided. Before driving, she had walked or hitchhiked to school but now she drove, and she relished the freedom. Making her way down town, and arriving into the parking lot just in time with the rest of the kids who drive. Parking in the first free spot available, she stepped out and locked the car. Strolling up the steps and into the cafeteria, she went up to the group of cheerleaders that she normally hung with. She wouldn't call them true friends but they were friends enough for her to stand with their group and partake in small talk so that she didn't appear to be loner. Smiling as Wendy joined the group she greeted her with a hello, and how was your summer, and a my summer was fine, and a I rally had fun at your pool party, and a what classes are you in and all the small stuff that never really mattered. She watched as Wendy went around inviting everyone to the party that she was planning, and oh was it gonna be a grand ole time. Jo figured she'd go, if for nothing else, the booze and the time away from her father, so of course she agreed.

  • ❝ KENDALL MARIE CHEN ❞

    witch - sixteen - heterosexual - single

Kendall sighed as she walked up to her friends. She just nodded when Rose asked if she was good. She frowned, seeming to still be pissed about the new guy running into her. Kendall brushed her loose bangs from her buns behind her ear and rolled her eyes as Rose said the new guy was hot. She couldn't help but smile at her flirty friend. Sure, he was attractive but he didn't seem like Kendall's type. She had a very specific type she felt like she wouldn't find in Mystic Falls. She popped a piece of gum into her mouth, offering some to Rose and Andrea as well. She shoved the gum back into her back pocket as she looked over her shoulder, scoping out the students for this year. In Mystic Falls, you seem to know everyone. That's just how small towns like this worked. She didn't mind but it kind of annoying the same old faces every year. Kendall popped a bubble with her gum, seeming like the very snooty popular girl. She was always... mean in a way. She always seemed to have a mug look on her face or some kind of frown. She was just protective over herself and her friends and didn't like most people, at all. She was annoyed with people after a certain amount of time, even her own family. The only ones she can deal with for more than a few hours are Rose and Andrea. Those could see each other all day every day and she wouldn't mind. That's the power of best friends. When Kenny approached with a goofy smile, Kendall couldn't help but snicker. Kenny was one of those people she could deal with. He was goofy and seemed to get her dark humor. Kendall laughed as Kenny gave his sister a hard time and she shook her head, amusement in her eyes. She watched him walk off before turning to Rose as she spoke. She shrugged her shoulders and nudged her friend. "He just wants to have fun. And for most people, drugs are fun. " Kendall teased her best friend as she wrapped her arm around Rose's shoulder. She pinched her best friend's cheek with a laugh.

When Wendy approached, Kendall raised her eyebrow at the barbie-like female. She rolled her eyes, annoyed with her voice. She shooed Wendy away after she was done speaking and pursed her lips. She looked over at Andrea as her eyes lit up at the idea of a party. Kendall still had her arm wrapped around Rose's shoulder and almost seemed to be hanging a bit on her friend, just to annoy her. She liked to get on people's nerves, it amused her for some reason. She snickered as Rose finally had enough and let her stumble and almost fall. Kendall laughed and stood up straight, popping her bubble from her gum. "I think a party sounds dope. We could use a girl's night. Let our hair down and Rose can flirt with all the boys." Kendall teased as she stuck her tongue out at her friend. She giggled and her gaze lifted as Sawyer approached them. She adored that kid. She thought he was adorkable. She smiled as he approached. "My summer was pretty shit to be honest. The crushing weight of my parents trying to get me to be this perfect daughter doesn't feel great." Kendall scoffed and pursed her lips. "I still can't get over that party. Wendy puked on my shoes. I had to throw those out. I loved those Vans. They were Rugrat themed." Kendall grumbled and exhaled, seeming annoyed with the mention of Wendy. She hated barbie-like girls like her. They were the only reason she wasn't in sports. She didn't need girls like Wendy to talk smack every time she performed. Kendall snickered. "But at least Rose got to kiss a hot guy." Kendall stuck her tongue out at her redhead friend. She got shoved by Rose and Kendall just laughed harder.

    ❝ LANDON TYLER BLANCHE ❞

werewolf [not activated] - seventeen - heterosexual - single

Landon jumped as Scarlett wrapped an arm around his shoulders and he grumbled, glaring up at her. When she spoke, he blushed brightly and shoved her off. "Shut up, Scar." Landon grumbled, annoyed that she made it such a big deal for him to be staring at Rose. He had always had a huge crush on her, ever since he first interacted with her. Of course, he was more like a shadow to the group. He never said much and just kind of hung out around Scarlett. Landon adjusted his shirt and inhaled deeply, obviously embarrassed. He blinked, watching the group interact. He looked away slowly, leaning against the lockers and letting his head fall back. He looked over at Scarlett, a serious look in his eye. "Have you ever yearned for someone you know you can't have or that is too good for you? That's what she is for me. There's no point in even trying. She's too.... pure. I can't bring her into our world." Landon grumbled and sighed. He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. He wanted to be alone. He didn't want to deal with the world today. He just wanted to shut everyone out. That was part of his depression. He looked back at Scarlett. "And don't say anything to her either. I know you guys are friends." Landon said and pulled his head over his head. He mumbled under his breathe. "I'm skipping first. I need a blunt. Wanna come?" Landon asked Scarlett as he put a headphone in his ear as he plugged it into his phone. He played some Eminem to try and calm his nerves. He seemed anxious as he bounced his leg impatiently.
