The moon glowed upon the moorland of windclan's border. A pale tom, looking very much like a product of the moonlight around him - with his pale coat and icy hues - sat awaiting the group to arrive. Always, he was punctual. Thus, he was already extremely annoyed with the rest of the healers. What was taking them so long was beyond Asp! Then again, he had actually arrived horribly early. Still, they should've come as early as possible themselves!

Still, despite the anger in his eyes, he was exited. Exited to join the ranks of the medicine cats. To come upon the moonstone as a medicine cat and not just a normal 'paw accompanying his leader.

He hoped he'd see Foreststar again.

    ———— SHEOGORATH ————

WHEN THE DEVIL IS TOO BUSY THEY CALL ON ME BY NAME YOU SEE.

Traveling through WindClan territory was odd. He didn't spend much time there, as opposed to RiverClan, so most of the landscape was unfamiliar to him. He found himself, nostrils flaring, sniffing out the scent of a ThunderClanner. Sheogorath figured it must have been another medicine cat, so he followed it. His newfound rank was strange to think about. From leader of BloodClan to Healer. His purpose was to serve his clan as a doctor now, and that was an odd consideration. Silvery luminescence from pale moonlight ignited his tabby figure, reflected within a blistering golden gaze. Large, rounded paws carried his presence closer, reinforced weaponry coiling into the soil of the long grass. A brief wind ruffled his fur and tickled his whiskers, and the rainbow leather collar that wrapped his neck itched at thick skin. The city dweller, former RiverClanner, former tyrant of BloodClan, came upon the border with a curious vision, gaze landing upon an unfamiliar figure. But the scent of herbs was unmistakable, different from the smell of carrion that mingled with his herbal essence. "Greetings there! I don't believe we've met. I'm Sheogorath." The massive tom introduced himself with a small smile. "New healer of BloodClan. Don't mind me. I have questions fer StarClan. Waspwing might show up as well." He offered with a cheery tone edging a friendly voice.

  • Sitting at the border of Riverclan, Rootlegs waited for his fellow medicine cats to join him so they could make their was to meet the others. The tonkinese tom sat upright with his tail tightly wrapped round his paws as he always did. Taking a deep breathe he lifted his head up to gaze at the beautiful moon. This was his first meeting with Starclan and he was trembling in anticipation of the possibility of meeting his deceased mother. He had a burning question to ask her after Nightstar had only recently broken the news to him that his father was Cedar the notorious rogue. Continuously shifting his paws, the tom let the calm breeze ruffle his fur embracing it's comforting properties as he tried to put his nerves to rest.

  • ✧ // but i made it with you next to me

Icefeather had never shared tongues with StarClan in this way, her interactions with them always done through a method unique to her old Clan that had lived high in the mountains. But regardless, since her ascension to the position of medicine cat of ShadowClan, Icefeather found excitement and joy in a lot of things again, even if she was somewhat used to them. The way these Clans did things was slightly different from where she came from, so even as she instructed Cedarpaw in medicine, she was learning things as well. Trotting up to the small gathering of medicine cats already present, the white tabby dipped her head politely, indigo eyes nearly luminescent in the pale moonlight.

  • there was calm curiosity behind the shadowclan medicine cat apprentice’s green eyes as he trotted down the path to the moonstone and the other healers came into view. it was his first time at one of these half-moon meetings—icefeather’s too. he was excited to meet everyone, though his bland expression might suggest otherwise.

what were they like? the massive brown tabby who smelled of the city certainly seemed boisterous. cedarpaw took his talkativeness as a signal that he was open to interaction, and the much smaller tom approached him. he didn’t get too close—the word bloodclan stuck in his mind and brought up flashbacks to when the group of scoundrels attacked shadowclan on baseless accusations. they couldn’t be reasoned with, and that was terrifying. “salutations,” the young one greeted politely. “i am cedarpaw of shadowclan. ...how has bloodclan been?” well, i hope. he didn’t want their ex-allies searching for someone to blame for their problems again.

The DarkClan medicine cat apprentice made her way into the gathering. She soon noticed Cedarpaw, whom she had distasteful feelings towards since he had been chosen for her former clan's medicine cat apprentice position. Sunpaw, however, did not act upon it. Her copper eyes soon left the form of her former clanmate and scanned the rest of the cats that had gathered. She limped towards the rest of the cats and soon sat down, waiting for her mentor and fellow medicine cat apprentice to make their way into the gathering.

    "Speech."

  • "R-Root," His voice came forth much like a retreating tide, powerful and feared, soft but kind as he rested himself beside the seal-point looking male. He didn't want to go, not now, not ever. He wanted to stay, as the river was terrifying to him but... W-Would he actually get to do as they said he could? He actually hadn't even noticed the river yet, which was wonderful because damn he didn't want to cause a scene so late at night. He imagined Duckpaw was sleeping. He could distract himself with him, that could work. Carry him even. "Um, n-never mind, I-I'll be back," He marched off into the medic den, looking down at Duckpaw who didn't seem to be sleeping, well, not entirely. He smiled shakily, sitting down to lick the cheek of the male, tail wagging as if he were a dog. "N-Need a lift?" They were probably going to be crossing wetlands, he didn't want that for Ducky.

-----> Asphodelpaw would frown as his nose was assulted by the reek of Bloodclan. Turning his gaze in the direction, he watched as a massive tabby approached. Despite the very obvious disadvantage Asp had over the other male, Asp would bare his fangs, rising to his feet. "I do mind! What gives you the right to accompany us to our sacred place? Your a murderer!" he snarled, claws unsheathing. Of course, while he didn't know for certain this bloodclanner was a killer, he assumed everyone in that wretched excuse for a clan was, so he'd stand by his words. Such a shame he was more right than he thought.

"What the hell would a monster like you want with Starclan?" he'd demand, frowning when a few fellow medicine cats arrived. All of them didn't seem to bat an eye at this brutish figure. Was he missing something here? Shouldn't they be chasing him off?!

    ———— SHEOGORATH ————

WHEN THE DEVIL IS TOO BUSY THEY CALL ON ME BY NAME YOU SEE.

Other medicine cats arrived, and Sheogorath eyed each of them in turn, his blistering gaze raking across their figures, his flaring nostrils taking in the mingling scents of other clans. Someone addressed him, scented of ShadowClan. Cedarpaw. The inquiry reached his mind and he smiled. "BloodClan is well. How is ShadowClan?" Then, the ThunderClanner spoke, biting words filtering into the large tom's tattered ears. A smirk crawled across his maw, amusement glittering amidst his burning gaze. "I used to be a RiverClanner. I have ties to StarClan just as you do. I joined BloodClan not because I like to kill, I don't, but because I have family there. Family that needed me." It was a complete lie, but his voice was smooth and soothing, gentle and friendly. One day, they would know the truth, but in that moment, he was trying to remain peaceful. "BloodClan may be vicious, but I am a medicine cat, just like you." He offered simply, tail curling through the atmosphere.

-----> The tom's gentle expression felt completely wrong in comparison to the rest of his battered, hulking form. Asphodelpaw, though, could not quite argue, especially if the rest of the healers didn't seem to care. With a grumble, he'd snarl, "I'm keeping my eye on you," before getting up and positioning himself away from the beast of a cat. He couldn't understand why everyone seemed fine with a bloodclanner tagging along with them.

  • Duckpaw

Duckpaw wasn’t expecting to accompany Root or Chase.

After all, it would be quite a hassle. The cinnamon brown boy was just extra weight. And a stammering mess. Nobody needed that.

Soft leafy eyes studied the berries before him, as the havana ragdoll sorted each one.

A tedious job, but at least useful. And that’s what he had wanted. To be useful.

Sighing, the boy slumped onto the ground, poking a small berry with his claw. He idly traced the dirt around it, making intricate, but meaningless patterns.

    Duckpaw wished he could walk.

He wished a lot of stuff.

The boy, however, was jolted out of his thoughts, when a quick swipe on the cheek startled him out of his sleepless rest.

Scrambling upright, the boy squealed with shock, covering his face with embarrassment. In his scare, the boy accidentally squashed a third of the berries, staining his brown paw with red juices. Awh, man.

A familiar figure stood next to him, offering to..carry Duckpaw?

“Oh! Ch-Chase! Sorry, d-dude” the boy stammered apologetically.

    I’m such a klutz...

“I.. I didn’t think I was going? You.. you don’t have to..!” the boy mewed, flattening his ears with embarrassment. Oh jeez. The cinnamon brown male was extremely grateful for the offer, but he hated the thought of burdening or slowing Chase down.

  • Rootlegs pointed ears twitched at the sound of the commotion coming from behind him. First his ears turned to face the medicine den, then his head and finally followed by his body. He poked his head in to see Chasingcomets and Duckpaw beside one another with quite concerned looks on their face. "So it looks like we all have something to be afraid about tonight huh?" he purred with a goofy grin on his face. Taking a step closer to Duckpaw, his leaf greens eyes locking onto the apprentice's he continued "I think Chase and I both agree you should be there - you are a medicine cat after all." Forgetting all about personal space (once again) Rootlegs leaned in, lowering his head so that he was nose to nose with Duckpaw. "If we hurry we'll be there a few minutes late but that shouldn't be a problem. Chase, help him onto my back, there's a point in the river where I'm tall enough to walk over; it should save us time." He meowed shuffling over beside Duckpaw, "climb on Duck, sorry if it's a little high up!"

Unfortunately for Chasingcomets, Rootlegs was not aware of the tom's fear of the river and could not gather that information from the cat's behaviour. He had noticed he was acting a little weird but thought nothing much of it and put it down to nerves. The brown tom thought he could use his height effectively and they were running late after all. He didn't want to hurry them but this was something Rootlegs was struggling to cope with and as time went by he was trying harder to hide from the other two. Looking closely enough they could probably tell. He would shuffle his paws and his tail would flicked in time with it. Ears with twitch and he would wrinkle his nose in an attempt to distract himself.

  • ✧ // but i made it with you next to me

Glancing around between all the assembling medicine cats, Icefeather kept quiet, staying near Cedarpaw and trying not to upset any of the medicine cats. This was supposed to be a peaceful gathering and yet there was already a little bit of tension and bickering occurring. Icefeather tried not to sigh out loud, not wanting to make things worse.

  • keuK600.gif Antpaw followed after Sunpaw, looking around at all the unfamiliar felines. They stink of different clans, every one carrying a new smell that made her want to vomit. But she was going to try and be a little nice here. Her yellow eyes look around as she limped on over before coming to a stop. So they were suppose to be introducing themselves? "Antpaw of Darkclan." the apprentice huffed, waiting for this to be over with.

Sunpaw saw Antpaw and smiled softly. Her fellow clanmate and possibly friend finally came and she was no longer concerned with her former clanmate. The DarkClan medicine cat apprentice nodded to Antpaw. Introductions were to be made and how much she disliked introductions.

    "Sunpaw of DarkClan."

    "Speech."

  • Duckpaw

Oh jeez, this was so embarrassing.

    Duckpaw swallowed nervously, laughing awkwardly.

“Hi, Root, uh..” the boy glanced back at Chasingcomets’ pleading expression, very very confused as to what the heck was even going on.

“That’s o-okay. Chase and I have i-it covered” he mewed clumsily.

Flinching back from Root’s sudden poke of the nose, Duckpaw blinked with surprise. “I..You can go ahead. We’ll be there in a jiffy”

  • ybLNaqY.gif He was late, something he didn't want to be since this was his first meeting as a full medicine cat. Would any of them remember him as Buzzardpaw? The white tom had once apprenticed under Cloudwatcher, now Cloudbounce. Now he had received his medicine cat name and was the sole medicine cat in Windclan. His blue eyes looked around, trying to spot a familiar face. But he didn't see Wheatbloom or Bluefrost yet. Were they gone now? "Hello everyone. I am Buzzardflight, from Windclan." the deaf tom greeted.

  • // naww lets be honest if they were more prepared they wouldn't of been late ^.^' it's not Ducky's fault :P

Rootlegs stretched his legs and gazed down at the apprentice with a confused expression, did he not feel comfortable with him? Fortunately for the medicine cat, he was in a rush and that took priority over his mind; his apprentice not shying away from him was not going to eat away at him when he was running late. The later it got the worse the unscratched mental itch became and the more agitated Rootlegs would become. That didn't mean that the thought would not come back later to haunt him...

With a shallow sigh Rootlegs bounded to the entrance of the medicine cat's den. He stopped at the entrance and glanced back to his denmates, "I'll let them know you are both on your way," he called back and with a brief nod the tom was out the den and headed to the gathering. Rootlegs had trained to be a warrior and if it wasn't for his incredible "photographic-like" memory he would of stayed as one with speed being his calling. Not only could Rootlegs cut through the forest, he could fly! The tonkinese tom slipped up into the trees with ease and soared from branch to branch, making his way across the territory in minutes. Leaping off the last tree of the forest, his paws landed ever-so-softly on the grassy terrain and he continued to bolt for the gathering. With every stride, he could feel his heat pounding against his rib cage and the scent in the air getting more clustered with all sorts of smells from across the forest. It grew stronger as he neared the meeting point. From a distance, he could see moonlit figures gathering which soon became defined in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Cats became clearer and their features more pronounced. Slowing his pace, he pulled up to the group of cats and meowed through his breathes, "I... I am Rootlegs... of River... of Riverclan..." The lanky tom took his time to take a deep breathe and straighten his posture, and like most times in his life he poked out from the rest in height, "Chasing... Chasingcomets and Duckpaw... they will be here soon... Sorry we're late." Looking around he analysed the cats of the group and noticed that others had just arrived to, with their postures resembling one of an introduction similar to his own and now that he caught his breathe he had time to feel the nervousness that settled in when he was round bigger groups. Counting in his head he tapped the earth beneath his front paws three times (his way of overcoming his nerves so he was able to speak) "I didn't mean to interrupt, it is so lovely to meet all of you like this."
