  • Ooc: Are we starting a new story thing or is there somewhere that we should try to have as a starting base? I think that the debriefing on the situation and the teams at the coffee shop would be the easiest and just say that those who aren't there now were just never there.

  • Ooc: I hope that's a good starting point for this. Like I said in the previous post, I just went back to the debriefing at the coffee shop. I intend to go with the old plot line, but if someone wants to do something else then I'm down to do whatever.

Ic: Crilland walked to the coffee, he was hoping that the other members involved would receive and respond to his request to meet him there. When he walked in he found an empty table that was big enough to fit them all, and ordered a coffee as he sat down.

  • Master Sergeant Locke Thorson looked at the chest in the corner, thinking about the email he had gotten regarding the missing alchemists, and the task force he was putting together. He happened to notice that he was the only non-State Alchemist, but he had a sinking feeling Krilland didn't pick him for his skill in alchemy. The lock on the chest corresponded to a key Thor held in his large hand. His family was very distantly related to the Armstrongs, and his own father had known Brigadier General Louis Armstrong personally. Alchemy was in his blood. With a sigh, Sgt Thor tied the key back around his thick neck, standing from his paper-covered desk and cast one final glance at his father's chest as he left for the coffee shop.

He arrived at the shop, throwing a quick salute to the officer who had been gathering the alchemists. "Morning, Sir," he mumbled, exhausted, as he took a seat across from Krilland and ordered a tea.

Garnet walks to the coffee shop with a content look on her face. It was foggy out and was kind of eerie, but the two-typed alchemist thought it was peaceful none the less. Also, today was her birthday and she didn't want to have a bad attitude on her birthday. Garnet had just gotten a new dog from Madam Christmas, her father's foster mother/ blood aunt. Madam Christmas was on her death bed, but loved Garnet and wanted to give her, her own dog for her birthday. The dog's name is Lucky; he's a blue eyed Alaskan husky with a thick black coat and white paws. Garnet was absolutely in love with him. She walked into the coffee shop and ordered a coffee. The ginger held her coffee as she walks to Master Sergeant Locke Thorson. "May I sit next to you, deary?" She asks sweetly, a happy smile on her face.

  • Thor instantly thought up a sly remark, I don't see anyone, Ma'am, but just nodded, letting the rude comment fade away. He had to admit, being around the state alchemists, that didn't really bother him. They were usually respective of his position, the years he had put in, and he was equally respectable of their achievements and rank. But Crilland, Mustang... they were higher ranking. Maybe they just reminded him of his father, state alchemist Colonel Thorson. He pushed the feeling away, sipping at his chai tea silently. His father was a dirtbag, and a windbag, nothing like the two officers he was seated with.

Garnet raises an eyebrow and sits next to Krilland instead. "Perhaps you want to rethink not answering when I know you heard me. I don't take that attitude. Especially on my birthday." She grumbles at Thor. "So watch it, sweety." She crosses her legs and stares holes in Thor's soul.

  • Crilland turned and looked at Garnet and said, "Wow, it's your birthday, I swear it seems to be the same time every year. Congratulations, you've been on this world for another year. Something you might find if you stay here for long enough, is that getting old sucks," he said as he picked up his coffee and took a sip from it.

Garnet looks at Crilland and rolls her eyes before giving a gentle giggle. "My father said that this morning. Thank you, darling." She says. Garnet rests a gentle and sweet hand on Crilland's shoulder before taking a drink of her coffee. "Mhm. I would like to introduce you to Madam's Christmas' dog, Lucky." She says, motioning to the dog who sat next to her. "Isnt he gorgeous??"

  • Crilland looked at the dog, and said, "I had a dog once, I had to put it down a few years back. He was getting old and couldn't move around much anymore, but he was always sitting by that door when I got home," he then took another sip of coffee and continued, "Huskies are great dogs, just get it house trained, it's a nuisance cleaning up after it." He then reached into the inside pocket of his uniform's coat and pulled out a cigarette box and a match box. He put a cigarette in his mouth and lit it with a match. He left both boxes on the table as he took a deep breath.

Garnet nods sadly. "I don't like having to put dogs down. It makes me sad. Have you met my mother's dog, Reggie?" She asks softly. "He's going to be put down soon. He's such an old baby." Garnet sighs. She drinks some more of her coffee and pets Lucky's head.

  • Ooc: Even though it's not that late, I might get off soon because my mouse and keyboard are kinda dying.

Ic: "I might have met Reggie before, it's amazing, the human race can wage war, decimate continents, and ruin lives, but yet we grow so attached to such small things. I've been thinking about getting another dog, but it wouldn't be fair to the dog because I'm never home anymore," Crilland said as he thought about the possibility. He pulled out his pocket watch and checked the time as he asked, "So do you want to hear the good news, or the bad news first?"
