thomas nigel o'connell
twenty six / god : ares (compel others to violence) / in love with amorette
"what we're doing here ain't just scary, it's about to be legendary."
The eldest of the group leaned against a tree, his dark eyes lifting from the small wooden carving in his hands. He was fairly talented at wood carving and he seemed to make a wood carving for everyone in the group. It would always be an animal that person reminded him of. Leo had a lion, of course. And the woman he loved, Amorette had a swan. So now, he was carving the wooden animals for Fantine and Willow. They had finally aged out of the orphanage and were heading to the small cottage as the rest of the group got together a small party. A celebration to welcome them home. Thomas held his knife in his hand, pausing as he glanced down at the wooden carving. He had decided to do Fantine's first. He was carving a doe for her. He smiled at the thought. She was always so innocent and kind. It was her downfall, Thomas thought. Still, he had to admire that about his friend. She always remained a small ray of sunshine to the group. As did Amorette. As he thought of his love, his usually stern expression fell and was replaced with a soft smile. One that only peeked at the corner of his lips. He had loved her since they were young. He found it hard not to love her. He fought his feelings for years but the more she smiled at him, the more he fell for the blonde beauty. Being in her presence was like finally being able to breathe again and the thought relaxed him. He felt so comfortable and safe around her which he thought was strange since he was used to being a brooding alpha male with no weaknesses. But Amorette, she was like an angel to him.
His eyes lifted once more and they rested on the blonde beauty. She was picking flowers in the garden, which he assumed were for Fantine and Willow. She had always been very thoughtful for the others in the group. Everyone in the group got along with her and adored her. His chin lifted as he watched her, staying silent. He often was silent. He liked to observe and calculate before acting. It was his nature. And as he watched her, all he could think about was how stunning she looked when the sunlight hit her golden locks. He watched her delicate hands lift the flowers from the ground and his head tilted slightly. He supposed she was going to make flower crowns for the two girls. Amorette seemed a fan of flowers and hair being combined. She often did so with her own hair. Which he found absolutely breathtaking. He blinked, inhaling deeply. Reality hit him and he frowned softly. He glanced back up at the woman he loved. There was no way, in his mind, that she could ever love a man like him. He thought of himself as a beast, unlovable and damaged beyond repair.
Thomas blinked and pushed himself off of the tree and walked toward the cottage. The alpha male locked eyes with Amorette for a moment, his stern expression back on his face. His mask was back on. He just turned his head and walked inside of the cottage, seeing Rhebekka cooking as well as a few of the others. He adjusted his coat and cleared his throat, gathering everyone's attention. He lifted his chin and his eyes scanned the room. He tried to make it to where everyone had their own room but it was a small cottage. Noble and Nora shared a room, since they were blood related. Same as Sadie and her sister. Sadie had taken her sister with her when she aged out and the orphanage didn't seem to care. Leo and Mason shared a room because they seemed to get along and didn't mind. Charlotte and Esperanza shared a room as well. Rhebekka had her own room as did Caiden. Thomas had his own room, naturally and the loft was open. He had already set up the loft for who he had planned moving into the room. As Amorette walked into the cottage, Thomas nodded to her. "Now that Fantine and Willow are finally joining us, I figured it is time to talk about the room situation. Nothing will change except Amorette will now share a room with Fantine and Willow and her child will have the loft to themselves. Agreed?" Thomas spoke very firmly and held his composure with confidence. As he spoke, his thick english accent clung to his words even through he had been raised in France. He had learned to speak from his parents, who were English. So it just stuck. When no one had any arguments, Thomas smiled thinly. "Splendid. Glad we all have that settled." Thomas spoke and then moved to walk toward his room to finish the wood carving for his dear friends.

leonardo vincent ryder
twenty three / god : zeus (compel alpha males & control weather) / untethered
"hate me today, hate me tomorrow. hate me for what i didn't do for you."
Leonardo was in his room, one knee pulled to his chest. His brow was furrowed in thought. He was excited that Willow was finally coming home to them but he was also terrified. He loved her. He had loved her since they had met. He found it hard not to love a woman like her. He sat on his bed, staring at the wall opposite of him. He shared a room with Mason, who got along with just fine. He just wished he could have his own room to wallow in his worries. His eyes lifted toward the door as the door opened. Rhebekka stood in the doorway and was asking the blonde male for his help in the kitchen. Leonardo simply nodded and pushed himself off of his bed. He shut the door behind him as he left the room. He walked into the kitchen with Rhebekka and saw that she was preparing a soup of some kind. He peeked his head toward the pot and Rhebekka swatted him away playfully, which made Leonardo laugh softly and smile his charming smile at the brunette beauty. He held up his hands in surrender and chuckled, which made the siren roll her eyes at him. She had a small smile on the corners of her lips. Rhebekka and Leo always got along. they just seemed to get each other, which he liked. And the both of them knew it would never be anything more. Leo didn't like the way Caiden treated her though, like she was just an object for his pleasure. He frowned at the thought.
Rhebekka pulled the blonde male from his thoughts as she asked him to chop some vegetables. He obliged and grabbed a knife from the counter nearest to him. He grabbed the vegetables she had set out and began to chop them up for her. He began to chop the carrots first and as he did so, he began to speak. "What are you going to do now that Fantine is coming home?" Leo said in a soft voice. The brunette woman sent a glare his way as she stirred the soup and she clenched her jaw. Leo sighed and finished chopping the carrots and moved onto the basil. "I know it's not what you want to think about but you do realize this is going to change everything, right? Especially with you and Caiden. Just like Willow and Jasmine coming home is going to change things for me." Leo said the last part with a soft sigh. He finished chopping the basil as Rhebekka grabbed the shopped carrots and tossed them in the soup. Leo was about to speak again, seeing Rhebekka begin to coil into herself when Thomas came into the cottage and laid down the ground rules on the room situation. He blinked, glad that nothing would really change. And he was happy that Willow and Jasmine would be getting the loft. It was the largest room in the house and Willow needed it for her daughter.
Once everyone cleared out of the kitchen once more, Leo turned his blue gaze to his friend. She seemed to be blocking him out now, the pain in her eyes. She didn't want to admit her feelings for Caiden, it was obvious. But Leo knew her best, better than anyone else in the group. The blonde male sighed softly. He hated seeing her like this but he knew when she was like this, it was best to just give her space and hope for the best. He finished chopping the vegetables she had asked for and by the time he was done, he heard a loud squeal and laughter. Fantine and Willow must've just gotten home. Leo walked over to the front door and he opened the door, stepping out into the sunlight. Leo watched Fantine and Caiden's interaction, knowing it pained Rhebekka to see them. His gaze then rested on the woman he loved and her child. Leo smiled warmly and his blue eyes shimmered with happiness as he watched her red locks gently blow in the breeze. He had truly missed her beauty.

"i'm gonna tell you something you don't want to hear. there's something inside you."
Fantine shut her suitcase with a loud sigh, clasping it shut. She looked out the dirty window out onto the town. She walked toward the window, her blue eyes watching the port. Her hand instinctively pressed to the filthy glass, her eyes filled with yearning. She longed to travel the world and experience everything the world had to offer a girl like her. She hoped to someday achieve this plan. But being an orphan without a penny to her name, she knew she would likely never achieve this dream. She blinked and turned her head, looking down at her suitcase. She didn't have many things to pack, just the bare minimum. A few old dresses, a few sentimental trinkets, and her mother's necklace. She had chosen to wear the necklace that day since it was a big day for her. Her finger tips gently brushed against the necklace as she smiled softly. She never truly knew her mother but she felt as if her mother was always with her because of the necklace. She inhaled deeply and brushed out her dress, her heart racing. She was excited to leave but she was also very terrified. She was scared of the unknown. The unknown of if the group truly accepted her and loved her. If they would survive each other, especially with their powers. Her hand went to her necklace once more, pleading for her mother to give her the strength to not be afraid. She brushed her loose blonde ringlets behind her ear and grabbed her suitcase, moving to the door of her room. She shared the room with two other girls but they had been playing don stairs while she was packing. She opened the door and glanced back at her room. It was dull and gray and unloving. But it had been home for her entire life. She smiled weakly and then turned her head, walking down the hallway.
She reached the stairs and walked down them with a pep in her step, a smile creeping onto her lips the further she got down the stairs. She was finally free. No more miserable nights where she would cry herself to sleep. No more messy and disgusting food that looked more like soup. She was finally free. Free to be who she wanted to be and free to use and practice her powers. Fantine reached the bottom of the stairs and hummed, now grinning ear to ear. No one had come to say goodbye to the two girls leaving. The other orphans hadn't made much of a bond with the two girls so it was a fairly boring goodbye from the others, even their caretaker. Fantine looked around, seeing Willow hadn't made it don yet. which was understandable. She had a two year old to worry about as well. Fantine continued to hum and smooth out her simple dress as she waited. As she saw Willow coming down the stairs, Fantine smiled brightly at her friend. She gave a warm and loving welcome to Jasmine as she hugged the mother and her child. "Ready to leave?" Fantine asked warmly. Once they agreed, Fantine opened the front door to the orphanage for them before she stepped out onto the street. Luckily, she had memorized the path to the cottage as she grew up. She would sneak out to visit the others whenever she could and she adored the trip through the town and through the forest.
Fantine led the way as she made small talk with Willow and her child. They talked about small things and just catching up with one another. Fantine helped the two girls step through the forest brush and moved to carry Willow's suitcase as well so she could hold Jasmine without any problems. As she walked through the forest on the path, a small smile came to her lips as she thought of Caiden. She had always been close to the boy and she had been falling for him over the years. She didn't want to show it because she was so afraid of rejection. Besides, she could see the way he looked at Rhebekka. How could she compete with such a woman? She felt Caiden was just out of her reach and it made her innocent and loving heart quench. She finally came upon the cottage and she smiled widely. A few of the others were outside and her eyes landed on Caiden. A blush rose to her pale cheeks and she smiled brightly. She set down her suitcase, as well as Willow's. Fantine giggled, her soft laughter bounding off the breeze. She then sprinted toward Caiden, one of her best friends. As she reached him, she squealed with excitement and jumped into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs wrapped around his waist. She buried her face in his chest as she held him close, breathing in his musky scent. "Caiden, I missed you!" Fantine said sweetly, pulling her face from his chest. Their faces were inches from each other but her smile never faltered. Her platinum ringlets curled around her soft face and her blue eyes shimmered with happiness in the sunlight. She seemed to be glowing.

"is is sick of me to need control of you? is ts sick to make you beg the way i do?"
Rhebekka adjusted her sleeves as she sauntered out of her room, heading toward the kitchen. She was one of the best cooks of the group and had already volunteered to do the cooking for the celebration. The dark haired beauty grabbed a large pot for the soup and set it to the fire. She grabbed the ingredients she needed and began to piece the soup together. She hummed as she did so, brushing loose hair over her shoulder. The siren lifted her gaze to Leonardo's room and she blinked. She walked over to the male's room with a swift movement and opened the door. She stood in the doorway, her green eyes looking down at him. She crossed her arms over her chest as she peered down at him. "Help me out in the kitchen, yeah?" Rhebekka spoke, her accent thick and Bulgarian. She had been raised in Bulgaria and had moved to France when she was in her early teens. Rhebekka watched as Leo silently stood and walked after her toward the kitchen. She saw how down and in his own head he seemed to be. She guessed it was because Willow was finally coming home. She was worried for the same reason but it was because Fantine was also coming home. She and Caiden had a complicated relationship going on at the moment and she knew it would all come crashing down the moment Fantine came home.
When Leo tried to sneak a peak at the soup, the beauty playfully swatted him away. The two of them shared a laugh and she sighed softly. He held his hands up in surrender and Rhebekka rolled her eyes, unable to stop the small smile in the corner of her lips. Rhebekka saw her friend frown and she decided to distract him. She lifted her head and moved to set out some vegetables. "Leo, can you chop those for me, please?" Rhebekka asked in a soft voice. Leo was one of the only people in the group she could be genuine with. Everyone else besides Thomas and Caiden, she put on a mask. With Leo, there was no judgement. She heard his words and she froze, her anger making her blood run cold. She sent him a glare and she clenched her jaw, lifting her chin. She stirred the soup and exhaled heavily, letting him finish what he had to say. As he finished, tears welled in her eyes and she h=threw the carrots into the soup as he finished the basil. Before he could speak once more, Thomas came in and explained the new sleeping arrangements. She listened and understood his arrangements. Amorette and Fantine were the best of friends and Willow needed the extra space for her child. Rhebekka inhaled deeply and moved to continue cooking as the group dispersed. The two sat in silence in the kitchen, pain in her green eyes.
The loud squeal of joy made Rhebekka flinch. She knew fantine had just arrived and Leo would go out to greet them. She watched from the side as her friend walked out the front door and watched as the group excitedly rushed to greet their friends. Rhebekka felt a pang of pain in her heart and she finished the soup, pulling the pot off of the fire. She rushed to her room and grabbed the wooden carving Thomas had made for her. She sat on her bed, pulling her knees to her chest. She sniffled and leaned her head against the wall, closing her eyes. She clutched the wooden carving and let the silent tears run down her cheeks with a shaky exhale.
Her wooden carving was an arctic fox.

"nobody said it was easy. it's such a shame for us to part."
The blonde beauty sat in her room, fumbling with her necklace. It had been one of her mother's necklace and Charlotte often fumbled with her necklace when she was nervous or in her thoughts. Charlotte blinked and lifted her gaze to the door way as she watched Nora walk by. She bit her bottom lip and stood quickly. She was feeling very anxious and she wanted to do something to calm her. She sought out Amorette. She found the beautiful girl in the garden, picking flowers. Charlotte pulled on her sleeves and gently teethed at her nails as she watched the blonde girl. Charlotte was always troubled when it came to words and she always came off as an anxious girl because of her lack of words. Amorette seemed to understand, which made Charlotte smile. The blonde girl moved to help the other girl pick flowers, trying to find some she thought Fantine would like. She wasn't as close to Willow but she knew she was a sweet girl, and so was her daughter. Charlotte hummed as they picked flowers and she eventually sat down in the garden, her blonde hair fanning over her shoulders.
Before long, she heard a squeal and she looked up. Amorette was gone and everyone else seemed to be rushing out of the cottage. She turned her head to see Fantine launch herself into Caiden's arms and Willow and Leo stare at one another. The blonde smiled and stood quickly, rushing over to the group.
