  • Caroline was surprised by how swiftly Andy started to move; she hadn't needed to say another word. Still, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of guilt, seeing the tension in his long stride, and remembering the worry in his words before. That guilt only grew when he shot a glance at her, his expression firm, unmistakably checking to make sure that she was still alright. She lowered her hand to the tabletop and gave him a small smile when he looked at her again, waiting for him to look away again before she turned her gaze over to her palm. Her eyes slowly traced the lines in her skin while her brows furrowed.

The thundering in her chest was starting to calm, yet, there was still a swirl of emotions lingering behind the passing storm. These feelings she felt... should she tell Andy about them? Admit that she was developing feelings towards him? How would he react? They've only met today, just by chance, so wouldn't it be incredibly weird to admit something like that? Like, they've only had lunch together, that's it, and yet...

She was pulled out of her thoughts when she saw movement in her peripheral, and she lifted her head up to look at Andy. She felt something cold against her cheek, and a flash of surprise crossed her face before she lightly reached up to hold the bag of ice. She watched as Andy pulled his chair up next to her, feeling her heart settling into a gentle rhythm. She nodded to his question, "Yeah, it feels better," she answered, switching the bag of ice to the other side of her face. "Thank you, and sorry for making you worry." Her lips lifted into a playful smile, "But hey, I suppose I could've made it worse on you. I mean, at least I didn't randomly pass out or anything, wouldn't that have sucked?"

  • (I'm so so sorry. I hope you've seen that glaring red message in my signature about stress levels with school. The final stretch of this semester is a brutal one. Anyways, I'll post whenever I get the chance. I'll be free December 18th. I just wanted to express this to you personally so again you didn't think that I wasn't no longer interested and just up and bailed. Thank you for your continued patience)

Once she took the makeshift ice pack, he placed the second one next to her on the table top before withdrawing his hand. His eyes continued to analyze Caroline, trying to hide any severe looks of worry. It was just a bout of nausea and lightheadedness. Right? In his mind, he shrugged, trying to convince himself of those ideas. That this wasn't anything serious. That everyone gets lightheaded from time to time with nausea. It happens. But, the worry remained.

However, he couldn't help but let a smile creep onto his face at her words. A soon that laughter turned into a light laughter, in part because it was cute to see her make a joke, probably to ease his worry. However, the laugh was also to lighten the mood, for himself more than anything. "Yeah, I mean I probably would've panicked. Not many people just pass out on me you know. But you're sure you're okay?" he insisted again? He probably was starting to sound like a broken record from all the concerned glances and the repeating of his question. And in truth, she did look a lot better than she did just five minutes ago or so. Without her answer, he seemed to have reassured himself on his own, his posture relaxing into the chair he had pulled next to her.

When Andy looked at her again, there was a hint of longing. Despite only knowing her for maybe a couple hours, he was still drawn to her. Compelled by her. In love with her? He wanted so much to tell her these feelings, but he couldn't. Especially after this episode that just occured. What if, by some off chance, it wasn't nothing? Not that he was going to jump to conclusions and say it was some fatal disease, but just being sick with something hit too close to home with him. There was uncertainly in whether he wanted to risk his heart for the sake of one girl. Even if that girl just happened to draw him in with ease. "You know, never mind that!" he said suddenly, with a renewed sense of energy to keep his mind active and away from the dreary topic that probably wasn't even relevant, "I want you to join the video game club, and I'll attend more of the meetings. That way, we'll still be able to play together, even though it'll probably be you crushing me. And then, if you really don't like it, we can just keep going until I save enough to buy a console or until you save enough to replace your dinosaur of a computer. From what you're telling me about it anyways,"

  • Caroline's grin deepened when she saw a smile sneaking onto Andy's face. A feeling of relief washing over her as his laugh seemed to cut through the grim atmosphere. And yet, it looked like his concern hadn't quite left yet, as he was still asking if she was ok. Her mouth opened on reflex, ready to say the same thing that she's said countless times before to many other people, that she was fine. Even if those past times were her putting on a strong face, it was true now. She was better; her heart was better, it had to be, right?

She stopped before she said anything, though, as Andy seemed to relax in his chair, almost like his concern had suddenly diminished. Her breath caught in her chest when he looked back at her. His expression, there was a hint of something in it, longing? Her gaze was locked onto his, finding herself unable to look away from his eyes. She practically jumped a little in her seat when he suddenly spoke, being broken out of the trance-like state she had fallen into.

She broke into a giggling fit, raising her free hand to cover her mouth. "Oh my goodness, I'm sorry, it's just..." She started to speak after a few seconds, moving her hand away. "When you said 'dinosaur of a computer,' I just, couldn't help but imagine, like, a desktop with big T-rex legs and tiny little T-rex arms going, like in a robot voice..." She raised her free hand in a claw-like shape, bearing her teeth playfully while her voice went monotone, "rawrrrrrrrrrrr." She let out a couple of more giggles before lowering her arm, smiling brightly. "Sorry, that probably sounded really dumb, but I'm all up for joining the video game club so we can hang out together!" She realized that her fingers and cheek were starting to go numb from the ice pack, so she placed it on the table. "And c'mon, I bet you've got more skill than you give yourself credit for!" She said, giving him a soft, playful punch to the shoulder. "You could probably beat me a couple of times at least."

  • Hope you had a nice Christmas/Holidays or whatever you celebrate. Sorry, I got swept up with all the holiday events. Depending on when you reply, I hope to get a post out before my vacation from the 30th-Jan 6th, but if not I won't be able to post until after the 6th due to no wifi. If I don't get to say it, have a nice New Year as well!

He was sure now. It must've just been a dizzy spell or something. He laughed along side her at her description of the laptop-dinosaur hybrid, picturing the sight as she describes it. Her laughter was contagious, just like everything else about her. If he wasn't laughing just as hard as she, Andy most certainly would've been in a trance again. Captivated by her features, her voice, her laughter that rang clear through the cafe. "Oh wow I can picture it too! That's hilarious. I should go buy a t-rex laptop sticker now or something," he commented, wiping an eye from the tears that formed from the intensity of the laugher.

He feigned pain at the spot where Caroline had punched him lightly, his opposite hand rubbing the spot. A playful smirk was on his face before he shook his head. "No you're right. I could beat you a couple of times. Just a couple though, but I'm excited now! They probably won't meet this week, but next week for sure," in informed her, before his attention was taken to his phone as it buzzed with a notification. Flipping his phone over to see the screen, his eyes widened at he read the start of the text. Cursing under his breath, he looked back up at Caroline.

"Hey, so I totally lost track of time. I was supposed to meet up with people like-- well now. Do you want to walk back to campus with me or...?" he trailed off, not sure how it would be taken to just ditch her here after the afternoon they had. Especially because he wasn't sure he wanted to leave her company. He loved being around her, and sure she had his number, but would she actually text him? Was she just being cordial? People were like that... but this seemed different. Still, their campus was a decent size, it's not like they would just run into each other all the time. Standing, he slide his phone back into his pocket as he waited for her answer, hoping.

  • (I'm so sorry, I was planning on getting a post up while you were on vacation, but caught a nasty stomach bug, and then was busy with classes starting back up again; things should I have settled down now, though. I hope that you had a fun vacation and good holidays!)

It made her gleeful to see Andy laughing so ecstatically, enough so that he had tears come to his eyes. Maybe she needed to get a t-rex sticker too, but maybe not for her heap of junk of a computer right now. It seemed like something that would best be saved for when she got a new laptop, eventually, hopefully. Her attention was pulled to his phone when he flipped it over, her gaze then shifting to examine his expression as his eyes moved from left to right across the phone's screen. Her brow furrowed slightly in worry when he muttered something under his breath.

Her eyes widened with surprise when he mentioned that he was late to meet with people. "Oh, shit, sure! I'd love to walk back with you," She replied standing up from her seat. Her hands hurried to grab her sandwich wrapper, quickly brushing the crumbs onto it before grabbing her empty smoothie cup and the two ice bags. Her teeth gently nibbled on her lip, "Should we hurry, though? I mean like jog or run or something? Or would it be better if you went on your own? I don't want to make you anymore late than you already are." She pushed her chair in with her hip before disposing of her trash in the nearby garbage bin. She then swiftly moved to the exit and held the door open, looking at Andy expectantly.

  • A slight, amused smile appeared on his lips at her suggestion. "I'm already late, I don't want to look a mess when I get there because I jogged and or ran all the way there. It's fine!" he assured as he gathered the wrappings of his sandwich. Walking, swiftly, towards the trash can, he tossed the wrappings inside before moving towards the counter that had bins filled with cups and other silverware. Placing his smoothie cup inside of another one, he finally made his way towards the door, as if all those actions were second nature. Giving how often he was there, it wasn't far off. Waiting for Caroline at the door, he held the door open for her, only exiting the store after she had exited.

Sam began walking up the street with her, moving slower than one probably would when they were late to something else. But it didn't matter. Besides, like he had told Caroline, he was already late so what did it matter at this point? It was just meeting up with some friends, not an interview for a prestigious job. Sliding his hands into his pockets, his long strides continued in somewhat of a silence. Eventually, he turned his head towards her slightly. "I'm glad you decided to come down to the cafe with me, you know even though we had just met like a few hours ago," he said, not really knowing what else to say at this point, yet still hoping to prologue their meeting for as long as he could.

  • (I'm really sorry for my sudden absence there. I was dealing with things irl, but everything is better now, so I shouldn't just poof out of existence for like two months again. Are you alright with continuing this?)

"Hmm, fair point, probably best to avoid showing up to your friends as a sweaty mess," she said with a small laugh, following him to the counter. She placed her smoothie cup in the bin, taking note on how routine Andy's movements were, almost like every action was engraved into muscle memory. Considering how often he must have frequented this place, she supposed that was only natural. She made her way over to the door, giving Andy a quick thanks as she exited.

She took a couple of steps forward before stopping to look over her shoulder, waiting for Andy to catch up before moving on. Walking alongside him, she matched her pace to his, noticing that it wasn't hurried at all. It was like they were taking a casual stroll rather than making their way to a gathering that he was late to. Was that a sign that he truly wanted to talk to her for a while longer? She wasn't holding him up, was she? She stared absentmindedly at the ground, lazily maneuvering around a small puddle in the pavement. A silence hung in the air, but she wasn't sure how to break it. What would be something good to talk about?

She suddenly realized that Andy was saying something to her, and her attention snapped straight to him. "Oh, yeah!" She said with a smile, giving an enthusiastic bob of her head. "I'm glad too. It was honestly a lot of fun hanging out with you, we should hang out again sometime, like outside of the video game club, you know?" She gestured to the cafe shrinking in the distance behind them. "Like maybe have lunch together again over there sometime or something, if you want?"

  • (No problem! I'm totally still interested in this thread. I'm so sorry this took so long to get posted. I got swamped with essays and it got moved away from the forefront of my mind. Regardless, I'm glad you're back!)

As he broke the silence, it was like he had awoken her from a daze. It seemed like that was happening a lot this afternoon. As if they were both entranced with each other. Typically, thoughts like this wouldn't even cross his mind, but her words. She wants to hang out with him again, more so than even he suggested. If he could, he would just float away, ecstatic about the prospect. "Yeah!" he responded quickly, "That sounds great! Though if you have a place you like or want to try just let me know and we can go there next. It doesn't just have to be this place, as much as I love it" he finished with a quick chuckle as they continued on back towards campus at their moderate pace.

Continuing on, the campus started coming into view as they walked back up the street. Truthfully, there was a tinge of dismay that the walk felt so short, even if it wasn't yet over. But there was more he wanted to say. Sure, the words escaped him and he didn't quite know what, but that thought of continuing to stay with her persisted. It was always in the back of Andy's mind that living in the present was the only way to go towards life. What if tomorrow didn't exist? Or what if tomorrow comes and she decides he wasn't as interesting as she originally thought - assuming that she found him interesting to begin with. Enjoy everything while it lasts. "Also, even just hanging out on campus would work too. I'm flexible. So yeah, again, just shoot me a text whenever!" he continued, almost stalling for time at this point. How desperate he must've seemed.

  • (Awesome! And no worries, that's perfectly alright. It's nice to be back!)

The apprehension summoned from speaking her question was swiftly melted away by Andy's reply. Her smile broadened. There was enthusiasm in his voice, a spark in his eyes; he seemed genuinely excited about hanging out again. Her footsteps felt lighter, while a warm, fuzzy sensation made its way into her chest. Was he feeling something like this, or was it just her? Had they somehow clicked in their short time together, or was she just crazy, imagining something that wasn't there?

The warm feeling chilled somewhat when the campus popped into her view. Her grin shrunk a little bit. It was almost time to split up, but there was always tomorrow, and the days after that. They'd see each other again, she hoped. "Mm-hmm, we can definitely meet on campus sometime, I'll make sure to fire a text your way later," She said before placing a hand on her chin. She jokingly furrowed her brows in thought. "And I guess I need to think of a good place for us to go sometime too, huh?" She let out a giggle and dropped her hand down to her side. "There's always that one ice cream place I suppose..."

They had made their way onto the campus grounds, and a frown briefly flickered onto her expression. She didn't really want to put an end to their walk, but she probably should let Andy go hang out with his friends. She looked at him with a smile. "Though, I guess it's probably time to say goodbyes for now, isn't it? Cause' I'm not sure where you need to go."

  • (Oh my god, I'm terrible. Please next time I bail for this long message me or something. (Except from May 14-June 4th. I'll be out of the country and without wifi. Well, I'll have wifi, but I'll be in China and I doubt I'd be able to connect))

His attention perked, even more so, at the mention of ice cream. "An ice cream place? Mhmmm. That sounds magnificent. We'll definitely have to go there." he said with a laugh, as his pace slowed to a halt at the edge of campus. There was a slight sigh that escaped his lips, as they both came to the realization that it was time to part. There wasn't anything he could do to draw it out. It would be too obvious if he just canceled his plans to hang out with her - especially if she didn't like him like that. Which, how could she? They've known each other for such a short period of time. If anything, he was the crazy one for falling so fast.

"Indeed. I would also say that it's time to part. But since you said you'll 'fire a text' my way later, I'll be waiting - I mean, not like desperately waiting, but expecting was probably the better word" he commented, shaking his phone lightly back and forth a few times in his hand, moving to scratch the back of his head again. A habit he seemed to have picked up today on the roller coaster of nerves.

It was with a small nod that he finally broke away from their temporary rest spot. His heart started beating faster as he took his leave. Andy gave her a final grin before jogging off into the heart of the campus. He glanced at his phone, the time indicating he was incredibly late. But, the reason for it was worth every moment.

  • (Pfft, you're not terrible! Things happen, but yeah, I'll message you if you seem to disappear for a while. You can also message me if I do the same thing. And, just in case I don't get the chance to say this before you leave, I hope you have a good trip!

Also, I went ahead a did a time skip, if that's alright? If not, I can edit my post and revert us back.)

She looked at his phone as he shook it and let out a laugh. "Well, I guess I'll be expecting a reply once I send it then," She said with a smile, sounding a little more confident than she truly felt at the moment. Her fingers, acting out from nerves, moved to adjust her already tidy shirt. Not another word was said after that, as she returned his nod in a silent goodbye. She could feel her heart racing when he flashed one last grin, and she raised her hand to wave bye to him.

There was a moment she spent in a daze, watching him jog away for perhaps a second too long before she broke out of the spell. She quickly turned away, heat rising to her cheeks, hoping that he hadn't noticed that. She started to walk, her emotions running rampant. Man, she had a lot to think about...

    ---(Later that day)---

Caroline stood on her tiptoes, carefully balancing a box of cheerios in hand as she started to set it on the shelf, giving it one final push to put it in place. "There," She grunted before falling back down onto her feet. The shelf just had to be slightly too high, didn't it? As she gathered up the plastic grocery bags on the table, she felt a sudden squeeze in her chest, and her hand immediately flew over to check her heartbeat. It was normal; the sensation had gone away just as quickly as it had appeared, which is what she was more used to. Maybe what happened earlier today was a one-time thing? Still, she probably should mention it to her cardiologist at the next checkup. She sighed, clumping the bags together and tossing them into the trash.

She made her way to her room and plopped onto her bed, pulling out her phone. 7:14 pm the screen showed. She hesitated for a moment before unlocking it, moving to her contacts. Her finger hovered over Andy's name, her stomach knotting in both nervousness and excitement. Is now an alright time to text him? He could still be busy... if I send one now would I seem desperate? Argh, stop overthinking it! ...What should I say though? There's was a brief pause before she tapped his name and started to type a message.

"Hi! It's Caroline, but you probably already know that haha. Here's the text I promised! Hopefully now is a good time?"

She hesitated again before tapping send.

  • (No no you’re all good! I was probably going to suggest a time skip anyways!)

It was a little after 7pm when he and his friends finally made it back to the apartment. Apartment style living was probably going to be the only perk of junior year, because the assumption was the he’d get slammed with even more work than in previous years. Wasn’t that the unspoken rule for schooling? The more you go, the more work you get? It sure felt like it. Oh well. Just the way the world worked.

Andy walked back down the hall to his room in order to plug in his phone that had died an hour or so ago. Please don’t text me yet. I’d hate for her to think I’m blowing her off by not responding in a timely manner. It’s my own fault for not charging it earlier... he thought to himself, as the charging, empty battery screen popped up. Shaking his head, he went back out to the main room to grab a snack.

About a half hour passed as he lounged on the couch, continuing to hang out with his friends. Then it hit him. “Oh crap!” he exclaimed to himself as he stood up, rushing back to his room. Picking up his phone, the screen lit up with a text notification right at the top. 20 minutes ago. How could he have forgotten? Though the anxiousness disappeared as he read the text. It sounded as sweet as his impression of her had been. His fingers glided over the glass screen as he typed out a response before hitting send.

“Hey Caroline! Sorry, my phone died and I forgot to check it. But yeah! Now’s a great time! What’s up?”

  • Caroline lay on her bed, teeth gently biting down on her lip. She had her eyes glued to the glowing screen, watching as the 7:14 pm displayed slowly shifted to 7:15 pm. Ok, he's probably busy then, she thought with a tinge of disappointment, pocketing the device. She stared at the grey ceiling, folding her hands behind her head. Sooo... what should she do? Sam still seemed to be out somewhere; no clue where she was at... Maybe take a nap? Er, wait, no; she might not catch Andy's reply if she did that.

She glanced to her side at her simple, reddish-brown wooden desk. She pulled herself up and pushed herself off of the bed, which responded to her movements with a slight creaking. Making her way over to the desk, she pulled out the black office chair in front of it and sat down. She drummed her fingers against the smooth wooden surface with one hand, while the other reached for her sketchbook.

The pages softly hummed as she flipped through them, passing by sketches of planets, stars, landscapes, characters, creatures, and some other random tidbits of sci-fi and silly things until she reached a blank page. A page ready to bring life to some imagination... that is, if she had any imagination to give to it right now. She grabbed a pencil and then paused, her brow furrowing in thought. Her eyes glimpsed at the not-so-sleek and dim black case of her PC's tower, which popped an idea in her head. Their conversation from earlier about her computer, she could just picture that silly t-rex-and-desktop hybrid. Her lips curled into a smirk. This was going to be so dumb, but oh so glorious.

Caroline's pencil stopped flowing across the page when she felt a vibration against her leg. She immediately dropped the pencil and reached down to pull her phone out of her pocket. A grin formed on her face as her eyes scanned Andy's message.

"Oh! Don't worry, you're fine! I just wanted to talk to you some more, or I guess text in this case? lol."

    Send.

"Anyways, did you have a good time? With your friends I mean?"

    Send.

  • His heart almost trembled at the nervousness. What if she had given up waiting? Sure, it wasn't too long ago that she had sent the initial message, but it's not like it was expected she wait however long staring at her phone for his reply. But, there was no doubt that Caroline had done the same thing as he was now: staring at his phone for a few moments after, waiting for a reply. Part of him was surprised that a message was even initiated.

His phone pinged with a notification as the message appeared into view. A smile appeared on his face reading her words. It was like Caroline was right in front of him-- of course that was what text did. Close the distance in communication. However, they were still just words on a screen. It's not like they had the same capacity of emotion a one on one conversation had. But, her texts seemed different. It was if she was reading them to him in his mind, giving life to the emotionless words. Another ping from his phone as the second message followed in quick succession.

I did yeah! Kinda went straight to another meal but u know the cafe was just a snack lol

    Send

What abt u? What did u end up doing after we parted?

    Send

  • Caroline chuckled a bit from the first message that popped up. Just a snack, eh? It felt pretty filling for her. The next message flashed on the screen, and she thought for a moment before she started to reply.

You've got a faster metabolism than I do then, but then again everyone does. Mine seems to run at the pace of a slightly above average snail lol.

    Send.

Anyways, I started getting everything ready for tomorrow and the rest of the week. Organizing school supplies, getting groceries, you know, all that good, fun stuff. Ugh.

    Send.

Then I started to do some drawing, started just a little bit ago actually. I was making...

Her fingers stop gliding over her phone's screen. Her eyes moved to her sketchbook, looking at the rough sketch of the t-rex desktop on the page, with its stubby t-rex legs, short t-rex arms, and computer tower that was split to show it roaring with jagged "teeth." A bubble hovered next to it with "rawrrrr" written within it. She felt her cheeks started to burn with embarrassment. This was totally weird, wasn't it? Like completely off-the-walls bonkers kind of weird? Maybe it would be best if she didn't mention it...

She shook her head. No, he'd probably get a chuckle from it. Hopefully? She started to finish her text.

Then I started to do some drawing, started just a little bit ago actually. I was making that dinosaur computer we joked about earlier? It's still kinda rough atm, but here.

    Send.

She pulled her sketchbook closer and took a quick picture of the sketch, and then sent that image too.

  • You just need some intense training. Your metabolism will surely upgrade to turtle after an eating marathon or two. Don't worry, I got u covered!

    Send.

Looking at the second text that appeared on his phone, he glanced over at his practically empty backpack. Textbooks, notebooks, pens, folders-- they all overflowed out of his bag and onto the floor. She wasn't even here and made him feel like he was slacking, though then again, classes did start tomorrow.

Oh? Guess I got you beat on eating, but you got me on level of preparedness

He hit send after snapping a quick picture of his backpack in its pathetic state.

There was a moment when he say the little word bubble, indicating that she was typing, so he waited. But then it disappeared. Had she finally found him incredibly boring? Was she one of those people who couldn't stand to be around those who were totally a mess in terms of organization? Or did something happen again like it did at the cafe? A whirlwind of worries swirled in his mind in those moments of silence.

His phone lit up again, making thing whoosh noise to notify him a text had come, though like his last text it was accompanied by a picture. It sent him into instant laughter. The drawing was so ridiculous, but amazing cute at the same time? And perhaps the exact way he had pictured it too. Through the laughter, he was able to type back.

I'm. dying! So funny! Computasaurus Rex. C-Rex?

    Send.

  • Omg, C-Rex! Yesssssss. That's perfect! Glad you like it tho!

    Send.

Caroline found herself in a fit of giggles. Upgrade to turtle! And the picture of his supplies falling out onto the floor next to his backpack. Oh goodness. She had a feeling that he might've been one of the disorganized types, but that didn't really bother her. A lot of people seemed to be that way, so she guessed that she was kind of the unusual one. Though, everyone did have their own methods for doing things honestly.

And I guess you need some training for organization then, eh? We could do some skill swapping. Eating training montages for organizational training montages pfft xD

    Send.

I'm probably a lost cause tho. Doubt that my stomach could handle an eating marathon, so I'm likely stuck in snail-rank lol.

    Send.

Some food did sound kinda good right now, though, but she was enjoying these text too much to stop now. Dinner could wait a bit.

  • Hey. You aren't at level slug, so you're not starting from square 1! That's something right? Level turtle will be a thing

    Send.

Why was everything so seem less with her? And yet not at the same time? His heart fluttered, but it's like he knew exactly what to say and she back to him. He pulled on his charger chord so it would untangle, allowing him to lay out on his bed. What life would be without a ten foot cable.

Though if we're really going for lost causes, that'd be me and my organization skills. I like to call myself chaotically organized. Everything is in a pile and what I need is somewhere in that pile. It works!

    Send.

If these trading of skills actually went down, it would probably be nice to learn from someone who seemed to have her life in order. He looked at her and just assumed that everything was organized with her-- not to the point of being anal retentive, but at least had stuff going for her. It's not that he didn't, but it didn't always feel like luck was one his side. Maybe things would change?

  • I mean, I suppose it's still organized if you know where everything is in that pile lol. Now all you need to do is keep important dates listed somewhere! Like in a calendar or something - if you're not already doing so that is.

    Send

Ooh, that's another thing we can do; we can go shopping to find you a calendar, or an agenda, or something! Unless you've got one already, and as long as you want to of course. Your thoughts? What kind of calendar would you prefer anyway, like theme-wise? Kinda curious.

Caroline leaned back in her seat, feeling a little embarrassed as she looked back over her texts. She was starting to ramble a bit again; was that even possible in texting? Probably, she guessed, or she seemed to at least find some way to do it. It was strange; it usually took her a little while to open up to others, but she felt oddly comfortable speaking her mind to Andy. He didn't seem to mind when words just started spilling out of her mouth. In fact, he seemed happy to listen to her. Not everyone was quite as attentive as he was.

  • It is organized if I know where to find stuff. Maybe you just need to be a little bit more.. chaotic? lol

He had a planner. It was somewhere in the pile of things he had to shove into his backpack before tomorrow morning. More likely, he would throw everything together a few minutes before heading out the door. Though, he would admit that he never really used his planner. It was there, though its purposes were pretty much scrap paper when he needed to write something important down. Homework and tests probably should've been on there, but that's what the syllabus was for right? Though, if he admitted that to her, would she still want to go shopping with him? Admittedly, shopping wasn't the ideal thing to do, but if it meant spending time with Caroline, he would go to any store she wished.

I thought I had one. Guess I left it at home x many miles away. Whoops.

Was it wrong to lie to her? To lie to someone so genuine? But then again, it was to spend time with her. This couldn't be classified as selfish if he was thinking in her interests as well. Right?

Honestly, I have no preference. Maybe we can keep rolling with dinosaurs to go with our C-Rex? But just a simple would be ok too. Except yellow. Not a good color.
