  • The white feline makes his way back from the moon stones. His blue eyes set forward, but he could help but look behind him from time to time. The medicine cat had received his new name but lost all of his hearing, which was something he knew would happen one day. There was nothing he could have done to prevent it or slow it down, it was something he was born with. Continuing his way back to camp, he felt tired but his mind was refreshed with confidence. He no longer doubted being a medicine cat, that was his place in Windclan and no one was going to take that from him. Stopping a short way from the medicine cat den, his eyes look up at the bright sky. It was high noon now but he wished he was still able to see the stars. Looking back down to the camp, his throat cleared before he tested out talking. It was strange but he was sure with practice he would sound normal again. "Starclan has given me my medicine cat name. I am now Buzzardflight. If you need anything please let me know, I will be holding check ups later." .

Spiderkit's ears flicked as somebody made an announcement of some sort. StarClan? Something about a medicine name? He wondered if this would be important information. This clan had a weird naming system that he wasn't accustomed to, but judging by the fact that this tom just got a new name and was related to medicine, he'd guess Buzzardflight was new to being a healer? Was that important information? Perhaps he trained as a healer, and just now got a name that meant he was a professional healer? He wasn't sure. It would be neat if he were a new healer- that would be a weakness to exploit, but the tom's confidence didn't seem to hint towards that. Huh. Well, anyway, he'd make note of it. It was the first interesting thing to happen since he joined, after all. He averted his burning gaze and went back to chewing on rabbit bones. He wasn't hungry- just bored, but he refused to play mossball. What a dumb game.

  • 「 you are not as brave as you were at the start 」

The ex-medic sat in a corner of the camp, head raising as he spotted Buzzardpaw.

Well, Buzzardflight now. A pang of envy went through him, swallowing hard as he realized just what that meant. No longer was he even the medicine cat apprentice. Cloudpaw was now a warrior's apprentice, his previous name stripped of him. Grinding his teeth together, the male just rested his head on his paws again, squeezing his sky blue eyes shut as tears pooled in the corners.

    Life sucked.

    "speaking." or "speaking."

  • Hiddenflame approached newly dubbed Buzzardflight with a broad smile "Congratulations! You earned it." She meowed. It was hard enough to go through the training to become a medicine cat, let alone figuring out the whole thing by yourself with only Starclan and one's own intuition. Personally she could never be a medicine cat herself, but she is glad for Buzzardflight's success.

&& little fighter && "give 'em hell. turn their heads."

    * * * asterpaw's gaze was bright, the unkempt, pawsteps bouncy and unsteady as she approached, and she couldn't help but smile up at the medicine cat.

"well hi there mr. buzzardflight! how's it feel being chosen by starclan and full of magic destiny?"

that was... about as far as aster's understanding of starclan went, but still the idea was exciting and she was eager to share in his joy.

not even noticing the way her words likely affected cloudpaw.

asterpaw didn't much care for the idea of medicine cat life, but she knew it had to be special. as special as being deputy or leader, even. or... hmm, maybe not, aster still thought leaders and deputies were the specialest of all.

    the bravest and strongest.

    anyway!

"did you talk to a ghost?" she asked seriously.

TAGS & PLOT ☆彡the blue tabby doesn't crowd the newly made medicine cat, but he does send the younger tom a half smile in his direction. he hangs back slightly, and attempts to hesitantly pat cloudpaw's back, in a calming gesture. he isn't good with this kinda stuff, but he can slightly understand what the other is perhaps feeling now.
