Giffany dumped her load onto her fire, and it instantly leapt in size-not big enough to be a sufficient signal flare for anything above, but able to coat the area in its orange glow. Giffany smirked with satisfaction and departed for more material. This time, she went in the opposite direction to avoid any further confrontation. But Kaiya's words rung in her head. "I will get home, safe and sound..." And, again, she wondered why all these other people and herself were abandoned on the island, as lost and afraid as she was.

"Animals? What exactly do you mean?" Luna tilted her head, confused. "We compare some Pokemon to 'animals', like Sheldon. Squirtle is known as the Tiny Turtle Pokemon, and Pikachu is known as the Mouse Pokemon. Turtles and mice are animals from your world, right?" she asked, just to make sure she understood correctly. She had no clue what normal animals were, as Pokemon were normal in her world, just as they were foreign to others'.
//To be honest, I'm surprised barely anyone heard Kaiya's battle cry as she tussled with the jaguar.

OOC: holy shit you guys go. Sorry for not being on more the past few days. A lot’s been happening
“I don’t think any of us know where we are,” Mewtwo stated sharply.
He felt uncomfortable, his tail beginning to twitch and slowly lash side to side.
Paracelsus nodded, “The Heir generally sends us out in groups of four...we work best in teams of four. Whether we remain teams of four has to do with what goes on in each dungeon.” She looked down a moment, thinking briefly about what could possibly be happening back at the Hamlet, and if they realized she was missing.
-
"Yes, that's right." Yuri nodded. Luna seemed to have heard of them, but didn't have them herself. Odd. Your world? Is she implying we're from different worlds? If this was right, how was he supposed to get back home?
Tracer nodded glumly. "Right, figured as much." So they didn't know either. Great. "Well, I guess I'll being going then." They seemed uncomfortable in her presence, it was probably best to leave. "Sorry to bother you." She turned on her heels, facing back into the tree line. Might as well explore a bit more.
ooc: haha ikr, we're at 11 pages already, wasn't expecting it to go this fast XD

Nariko watched as Tracer left, sighing softly. She then looked back at Mewtwo. "C-can you sense a-anyone e-else...?" she asked, hoping for a positive answer. She wanted to know where Terriermon was, where her Digivice was. She clutched the blue card in her hand, making sure nothing would take it from her.
"Hmm... Teams of four? Usually Nariko and I go out alone. If her cousin's available to come with us, then he and Lopmon will always join us." Terriermon said. "To be fair, though, we don't always go into dungeons. We just go about everyday life, school, vacations, stuff like that. We only fight if we have to." He continued following the Digivice's directions, hoping to maybe find someone else soon. Even if it wasn't Nariko, it would be a relief to see another human. Maybe they were out there somewhere... "If they're not here, we can always just search for anyone. Hopefully they're friendly."
"I see. To be honest, I've never seen whatever 'animals' you have seen. Just like Pika and the others were foreign to you." she said. "Do you think you could describe a type of animal? I could try to turn into one. I mean, if I can turn into Pokemon, why not other living beings?" she asked, the last part kind of to herself. Pika looked up at Luna. "Pikapi." he said. Sheldon elbowed the electric Pokemon gently. "Squirt!" he reassured his friend. Pixi and Veena, unlike the other two, seemed to be carefree when it came to Luna's powers, while Sheldon was semi-worried and Pika was always trying to prevent it if he could.

Giffany kept moving, pushing past trees and ducking whenever she heard something that sounded dangerous. Thanks to her fire signal idea, she didn't feel that helpless anymore, but did still feel plenty scared and homesick. The near encounter with Kaiya proved that she was not alone in her feelings. "Maybe, if I just keep walking, I'll find a landbridge or something we can use to get home. " She hoped. "Or maybe I'll find some kind of clue about how we all got stuck here. But I don't remember even being near water before I fell unconscious."
-
Ooc: hey I might not be on much bc I'm hanging with the fam and we did some Mary js (it's legal here dont worry)
therion nodded. "We might as well find a way now. I dont think I'll be able to sleep any more tonight."
-
"Alright." Connor nodded in agreement. Going straight in like we did last time will be futile. We need to find a location with the best opening. "We should circle around until we find the best opening, or at least, a location which will provide a bird's-eye view of the jungle."
"I can try and describe a dog, if you want?" Yuri offered, the image of Makkachin in his minds eye. "It looks a bit like Veena," he glanced down at the eevee momentarily, "But it's bigger, it's fur is very fleecy and curly, brown coloured. Kind of like a sheep. Floppy ears, big brown eyes that stare into your soul." God he missed Makkachin.
ooc: That's alright :p
I may or may not be slightly intoxicated rn so it's all good lol
-
"Alright, I'll try." Luna said. She began focusing, trying to transform into the dog described. However, she found herself unable to, as she only had human and Pokemon DNA makeups. "I don't think I can transform into that." she said, sighing. "I wish I could. Dogs sound adorable!"
Kaiya continued jumping from branch to branch. Maybe other, more friendly people would be making their way towards the tower! Let's just hope I don't get attacked again. But what was she worried about? Not like they could kill her. They didn't have Kagunes, Quinques, or G-Bullets. What was I so worried about, anyway? she asked herself. In fact, that jaguar barely even left a mark, when I think about it. If it did, they'll just regenerate anyway. Oh well, time to mask my scent. She followed through on the process that her friend had taught her, successfully masking her scent to keep herself hidden. She sat on a branch closer to the tower, deciding to regain some of her energy for at least a little while by drinking the rest of the coffee in the first thermos. It was quite large, and would last her a while. Plus, it WAS one of the only things keeping her from having simple, bland tastes all her life. The hot beverage spiced it up a bit.
-
therion tensed slightly at the mention of a birds eye view, then forced himself to calm down. It was unlikely they were going up high anywhere.
"Alright. Let me put out the fire so we dont burn down the whole jungle." Therion kicked wet sand over the fire until it went out. "Let's get going."
-
A nod. Connor silently watched the flames disperse. "Let's keep heading in this direction," He pointed to the right of himself, where the beach stretched off into the distance. "Hopefully the trees will thin out somewhere."
"Dogs are adorable." Yuri said. He wished Makkachin was here now. Or at least, he wished he could see the dog. He had pictures on his phone. Yuri paused, his phone. Was it on him? He might be able to get a signal and contact someone. It was there, thank God. He turned the mobile on, waiting anticipated. No signal. Damn it. At least he had the pictures though. He smiled fondly at the background image of Victor. "Do you want to see some pictures of them?"
-
Therion followed, looking towards the trees. "Yeah, hopefully."
-
It was a long while before anything remotely interesting appeared. A river. Scientific components detailing the make up of the water appeared. Fresh water. Clean. "This could be a potential lead." Connor commented. If they followed it, it may just be the opening they needed. It could thicken out, provide space between the trees. "We should follow it."
-
Therion nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. And we've got something to drink now, too." He started following the river.
-
Mewtwo tried to see if he could sense anybody else nearby. He could still feel Tracer’s presence, along with the tower, but the presence of two creatures was drawing closer.
“There’s two others.” He stood at attention, holding one arm in preparation to fight.
“You have to go in with others, there’s too much danger in the depths to go in by yourself. Groups of four provide the best chance of survival while remaining viable.” She stated matter of factly, “It’s still dangerous. Plenty of people still die.”
Paracelsus shrugged, death was something she had seen so often, it rarely bothered her anymore. She was used to preforming dissections while in the university and seeing men and women be cut down in the dungeons or dragged back to the Hamlet to be buried.
-
Nope. All Giffany found was more ocean after walking for what seemed like hours. "Figures." She sighed. In her moment of stillness, her stomach started to pang. Her hunger went completely overlooked the whole day. "Urgh..." She groaned, feeling as if her stomach was about to collapse in on itself. "I-I'll go back the way I came...." She stuttered. "I hope there's fruit somewhere..."
-
"I-I see... H-how far are they...?" Nariko asked. "S-sorry for so many questions..." the young girl quickly apologized, not wanting to make Mewtwo uncomfortable. Seeing as they were in this situation, it could be a bit difficult to find their way.
"You've got pictures?" Luna asked. "Of course I'd love to see them!" Seeing as he had described dogs like Veena, she decided to take a look. Pika was also curious. Jumping up onto Luna's shoulder, he made sure he was able to see as well.
Sheldon looked at Veena, asking something. "Squirtle squirt?" he asked. "Veee! Eevee!" Veena replied. Pixi, looking jealous, barked at Sheldon. "Pix! Pix! Vulpix!" Sheldon sighed and nodded. "Squirt..." And with that, he dug through the bag, finding two berries. One was a small, round blue berry, an Oran Berry, and the other looked like yellow and pink bananas, a Nanab Berry. He handed the corresponding Berries to the Pokemon, and they thanked him. It seemed like he was proud to help.
Kaiya stopped when she heard another voice. Okay. Sounds nothing like the person who threatened me before... Maybe I should observe a bit... their scent's familiar. She hopped from tree to tree, attempting to stay stealthy. However, it was a matter of time before she noticed her. That's when she realized where she had sensed her before. She was the one who almost spotted me. It's that girl again.
Terriermon looked back at Paracelsus. "That's harsh..." he said, sighing. "I'm sorry you have to go through that, watching people die left and right." he said. "I can only imagine it's like seeing your Digimon friends turn to simple data..."
-
Giffany bounded back to her campfire, her eyes glued to the jungle, hoping to find some kind of food, be it fruit or small animal. Now that she had a plan, she felt much better about being stranded, although she was still unsure of how much longer she'd survive. She slowed, not because of the fatigue and not because she'd spotted something, but because she felt followed. The slightest rustling of the trees put her back on edge. "I heard some big cat cries earlier...is it another one?" Her mind raced to find a practical, yet still terrifying, explanation. "What was it you were meant to do when a predator is stalking you?! Play dead...run...swim...aaahh, I don't know how to fend off a big cat!" She decided to bolt, in a serpentine motion, using all her remaining energy to get away.
-
Feeling curious, the young ghoul continued to follow Giffany to see what she was up to. However, a bent tree branch caught her off guard while she was still a distance away, and she fell to the ground, the broken portion of the wood cutting her ankle. "Ouch..." she said, placing a couple fingers on the wound. "Shit... I'm bleeding..." Noticing she was in front of Giffany, she looked up. "Uh, hi." She couldn't really tell if Giffany would threaten her, but she was wary just in case. "I remember your scent from earlier... Sorry about that, I thought that man who threatened me was coming back for more."
-
After hearing the thump, Giffany skidded to a stop and turned around to see the injured girl behind her. "That's what was following me?" She thought. "How long has she been here?" She started slowly towards Kaiya as the shock from the chase wore off. It wasn't long before Giffany's eyes spotted her wound. "Ooooh, that looks bad..." She whimpered.
