Welcome!
Hi, my name is Footie, or Larkyū, and yes, that isa quote from The Room as my shop title.
My illness has passed until further notice, and now the shop can open! So I say it will, starting today. Hooray!
Additionally, all prices are zero until further notice. Everything is currently free until I decide to start charging! I will put a notice and give people a few days to get their last free requests in before this change happens.
You will find that my style might vary in some pieces. This is mostly dependent upon the age and species of the subject. For example, I do not draw anime style eyes for animals, but I almost always do for humans.
As for age, I tend to draw younger looking characters, such as children or teens, with traits such as bigger eyes, bigger heads, rounder cheeks, and so forth whereas more mature looking characters like adults or elders will have smaller eyes, 'flatter' faces, and more realistic proportions. Please keep this in mind when specifying your character's appearance.
If you request a custom species, I will need you to go into as much detail as possible with this species. What is the shape of the skull for the species, what 'type' of nose do they have in relation to existing species, etc.
Q: What can you draw?
My primary preference and skill, I believe, is toward humans and humanoid beings, such as nekos, elves, demons, etc.
However, I am also capable of drawing animal species such as canines, felines, dragons, avians, horses, bears, or anything else you can imagine. There is no species that I am unwilling to try, even the nonexistant ones.
Q: What can't you draw?
As an artist, there are some specific objects or concepts that I do not feel my skill at recreating them is acceptable enough to put into an art piece made for someone else, or that I am not comfortable with drawing such things. Or, simply put, these are things that I will not or cannot draw:
▪ Detailed backgrounds or scenes,
▪ Content that is rated R, such as gore, sexuality, etc. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
▪ Animated work (still figuring this out!)
Q: Will you do art trades?
I haven't done an art trade before, but I'm open to giving it a try. Just PM me about it!
Q: How many times can I commission you?
As many times as you like. However, only one queue spot per person at a time, so if you already have a spot in the queue, you will have to wait until you receive your queued commission until you can request again. This is so other people have a chance to commission as well.
Q: When will you start charging? Will there be discounts?
As of now, I have no plans to charge any time soon. I want to get a feel for pacing myself and practice both with doing art regularly and managing my work before I will start charging for it. This could take one week or three. Who knows?
As for discounts, I might make some available for returning customers, but none are planned until I start charging.
Q: How long does it take you to draw?
This depends on both size and complexity. Shaded Full Bodies take the longest, while Busts or Flat Colors will not take as long, and Paint Sketches take the shortest amount of time at anywhere from 30 minis to 1 hour.
This also depends on my schedule and daily life. On average, I can have your order done within 1-3 days of you submitting it. It will take longer, such as 3 days, if I am working on other pieces and other queues at the time. I will notify you if I think the deadline might take more than 2 days.
Q: Can I use your art as a profile picture, fancypost art, or in other posts?
You are free to use the art however and wherever you like. You cannot, however, claim it as your own - or anyone else's - work.
Q: Can you design a character for me?
I can, but what I cannot do is guarantee that you will like the design. It's a much safer bet to give me an order that already has a design behind it. If you really want me to make a custom design for you, you'll have to PM me about it as that will take a lot more communication than just me drawing stuffs for you.
Q: What do you use to draw? How long have you been drawing for?
I started taking art seriously about 7 years ago, when I was 11. I started digital art when I was about 12, on a Windows Vista computer with the built in Paint program, and with my computer mouse.
When I was 13, I started trying free art programs like Fire Alpaca and Gimp. I also got a crude tablet when I was about 14, and I only used it about 5 or so times before I decided that it was clunky, I couldn't draw well with it, and that I hated it. Ever since then, my digital art is made with my same favored, trusty tool: the computer mouse. Since I was 16 and up until now, I've been using Paint Tool Sai. I plan to get Photoshop and start working with that program once I start doing art professionally and selling my work.
I started out drawing almost exclusively felines and canines until I was about 13 or 14, when I would start dabbling with humanoids. Now, the tables have turned and I don't draw animals much these days.
The only art classes I have under my belt are some painting and crafting classes in middleschool, and a one semester cartooning class in high school. Aside from that, I'm almost entirely self-taught.
Q: Would you be interested in entering a partnership or team for a project, such as a game or comic?
Certainly! Paid or unpaid, one of my most ambitious dreams has been to be a part of something bigger than just me. Be it a small one-shot or a continuous, larger project, I'd be happy to help. I do have my own terms and conditions, as do all freelancers, but to answer the question: yes. PM me if you have inquiries of this sort.
Q: Can I look at your deviantart page?
Unfortunately, I only feel comfortable with friends looking at my deviantart page. Not that it's very active in the first place, but I feel it is a bit personal and I'd rather not have strangers poking around through my profile. If you want to see my artwork, I have an art dump thread here on feralfront that should work just as well. (no link yet.)
Q: Do you stream your art process?
Nope. Maybe in the future, but at the moment, no.
For Size, your options are Bust, Waist-up, or Full Body. Reference Sheet options will be available in the future, but are currently not.
For Complexity, you can choose Flat Color, Shaded, or Paint Sketch. Note that Paint Sketches cannot have transparent backgrounds.

Commission Form
▪ I have every right to decline your request if I feel your submission did not meet guideline requirements, or if the content is unsuitable for what I am capable of delivering.
▪ I will contact you through the process of working on your piece, and I would like for you to be able to reply to my inquiries, as I will look to communicate about your piece and make sure it is as satisfactory for you as possible.
▪ Under no circumstances are you allowed to claim the artwork as your own doing. You may claim the contents of it, such as characters or designs, but never the artwork itself.
▪ You will have a 'grace period' to change or completely delete your submission altogether for whatever reason you may have to do so. This grace period will last through my sketching phase. Once I present you a completed sketch and ask for your confirmation, the grace period will be over and your request will be final.
▪ If and when payment is implemented, you will not receive your finished piece until payment is given.
