  • Plot with me?

Hello everyone! I'm Leia and I have been a part of this site since 2011. I've been on hiatus for the past few years but decided to come back cause I missed roleplaying so much. Now that it is summer I am free to be a part of more threads. This thread is to discuss plots for potential private or group threads (I'm up for either). I am semi-advanced to advanced, and will post a minimum of two paragraphs. I want someone who is around that level.

    Will do:

    • Dystopian futures
      1. Zombie apocalypse
      2. Divergent
      3. Hunger Games
      4. Alien invasion
      5. Etc. (Open for suggestions)
    • Medieval fantasy
      1. Lord of the Rings
      2. Game of Thrones
    • Historical fiction
      1. Medieval times
      2. Revolutionary War
      3. Victorian era
      4. 1920s
      5. 1940s
      6. Etc. (Open for suggestions)
    • Sci-fi
    • College life
    • Fandom stuff
      1. Harry Potter
      2. Star Wars
      3. Avatar: The Last Airbender
      4. Marvel
    • Mystery
    • Romance (I mainly do bxg relationships and can play either a boy or girl)

    Will not do:

    • Plots based around abuse

I look forward to plotting and rping with all of you! :)

  • Hey there! I'm in a similar situation as you, jumping back in on this site after a long break. (I've been here since like 2012.) I'm super eager for advanced roleplaying sessions.

I'm good with doing anything that you suggested, though a few of my favorite plots would be dystopian futures and sci fi stuff, though again, I'm literally open to anything. It might be interesting to do a sort of escape plot, with characters working towards a common goal.

  • Oooh that would be interesting! If we go for the escape plot we can maybe do something similar to the Maze Runner and the Hunger Games where our characters are thrown into a test or situation and they have to figure out how to get out which forces them to build an alliance that eventually becomes a close relationship (can be romantic, platonic, or both)

  • Hey sorry for the late response, I was super busy, but I'm relatively free now.

Yeah, that sounds great. Any specific ideas for the exact situation they could find themselves in? They could be stranded on an island, or something, surrounded by cameras or something like that.

  • Here is sort of a rough version of what I am envisioning right now

This takes place sometime in the future. The world is still recovering from a nuclear war. The U.S. no longer exists since it was destroyed in the war. Four factions emerged from the ruins and each one represents a certain skill set (still need to come up with names for each faction). Faction #1 is known for their engineering/technology. Faction #2 is known for agriculture. Faction #3 is known for textiles/manufacturing material goods/architecture. And Faction #4 is known for their military. Together the four factions created a new nation. The new nation is led by a president who can be from any faction, but each faction has a leader of its own. The leaders are known as governors and they oversees everything that goes on in their factions and report directly to the president. Everything was going smoothly until the 4th faction turned against everyone. The governor became too ambitious and wanted to increase his and the 4th faction's power. He overthrew the president and commanded his army to invade the other factions and make the people second-class citizens. Instead of working for one another, the other factions were forced to work for only the 4th faction. In order to maintain the size of his army the current president (more like dictator) chooses 50 people from the ages of 18-40 and from each faction (minus the 4th faction those people have to the choice to join or not) to be a part of the military. They are chosen through a lottery and have no say on the matter. Once a person has been chosen they are immediately sent to a military base on the edge of the 4th faction for training. The training process is relentless and the new recruits are shown no mercy when it comes to punishment for failing the sessions/exams or for misbehaving. The recruits from the other factions are treated more harshly than the ones from the 4th faction.

Now here is where our characters come in...

Our characters are new recruits who were chosen from one of the other factions. They have gone through most of the training and have made it pretty far but rumors of a resistance group forming has caught their attention and they decide to escape and join the group (might make an actual group thread for the resistance group)

  • That sounds like a great idea! I'm thinking for the backstory of our characters, they come from different factions. I wouldn't mind them being from faction two and faction one, as it would make for an interesting dynamic.

I totally think we should make an rp thread for the resistance group, whether to gain more members or to plot more.

  • That's fine! I have work and am also taking a summer class so my responses per day will be limited as well. Do you still want to do the private thread with our two characters escaping from the military to find the resistance group?

  • Awesome, I haven’t rp’d a guy in awhile, so I’m cool with doing that. I’m thinking of having him be 21, and from faction 2. I’d like him to have worked with his family mainly on a farm for dairy and meat produce, meaning he’s used to working with animals, but not people too much.

  • Awesome! Then I shall play the girl!

She is 20 and from Faction 1. Her parents specialize in mechanical engineering, so she is quite familiar with the construction and layout of machinery. She is definitely used to working with others and too reliant on technology

Currently looking for a faceclaim for her
