  • Y'know what? She should just turn around, like, right now. The auburn tabby huffed in half parts amusement and anxiety, smiling ahead at the islands of BlizzardClan. Sigrid had thought if she was going to rejoin a Clan after living with her mother as loners for the longest time, then it ought to be a place like BlizzardClan. Just the sight of the place was amazing, and from what stories she had traded with strangers, it wouldn't be half as bad either. So why did she feel so nervous? Like knots and pressure hardening in her stomach, in her throat. It was just one of those times- she knew everything was fine and nothing bad would happen but ... she couldn't seem to flip off the switch in her that was making it a little hard to breathe.

After a few idle moments of just gawking at her surroundings, Sigrid finally stood. The Maine Coon was relatively tall, but was round and soft by appearance, all due to her ruffles of fur. The tufts cascaded down her pelt with dribbles of honey and ginger, though the roots of her fur remained a russet-brown. Pretty good for camouflage in a forest, maybe, but by the looks of it, not anywhere in BlizzardClan. The two year old figured though that she better stand out during her time here though, make some sort of difference in her life or someone else's. Now standing, her demeanor put outwards reflected a timid curiosity, nothing like the buzzing of panic within her.

"This is ... uh ... kind of a long-shot but, anyone around?" The tabby mewed softly. She had a pretty gentle voice, though it was higher-pitched. She made a conscious effort to not sound shrill, maintaining a warm lilt to her words. Her green eyes pattered about, her delicate form poking a bit out of the shade, searching for a soul to talk to. "My name's Sigrid! I've come to join BlizzardClan." She exclaimed only a bit louder, before adding more gently, " ... If any of you want me." Sigrid meowed bemusedly again at herself. Want her? It sounded a tad promiscuous ... or like someone might want to hunt her and eat her for dinner. No way in hell.

Castiglione had been wandering the territory, as he tended to do. That was most of his entertainment, really, wandering the island on which the BlizzardClan camp resided and mentally creating a map of any points of interest.

Today, however, this point of interest was a moving one.

He perks his ears upon picking up on the voice, and makes his way through the forest and to the source carefully and quietly. His mother is already there, and he immediately feels far better being here. So much so, in fact, that he makes his way to her side, glancing between her and the newcomer with a thoughtful expression. The fluffy cat before them must've been a joiner -- she seemed jittery, and Castiglione feels jittery when he's around new people. Either that, or a visitor. He'd heard her name, distantly, but he's having trouble parsing it, in all honesty. So he decides to avoid saying it until she says it again, just to be sure. "Hi," he greets in a low voice, and then forces what he hopes is a welcoming smile but probably just looks crooked and... well, forced. "Welcome to BlizzardClan. My name's Castiglione."

  • Upon first joining this damned place more than a year ago, he had no idea what world he was walking into. The tom-cat, born and raised in a city surrounded by humans and trash and gas-guzzling cars, had no idea that a group full of creatures big and small, neon or rainbow, and mutants and elementals could live together in relative peace. Hell, he didn't even know that some of the creatures that he would meet existed. Fire-breathing dragons, multi-tailed kitsunes, the whole bit. It was a big change for the city boy, but he would always remain one at heart.

Well well, what had they come across now? It was the usual crowd; Sundance and the reappearing "Castiglione" (or as he referred to every child his age: "kid"). Then, there was a pretty fae that was presented right in front of his very eyes. She was a stranger; new to this place and probably lost on what to do next. So, the tuxedo tom felt compelled to be the "dashing stranger" that could possibly help her out.

Stepping forward, Jerseyboy chirped in his thick New Jerseyan accent, "Don't be so hard on yourself, sweetcheeks. We need new faces around here, anyways." He gave a quick rasp of his tongue over his paw before combing it over his cranium, smoothing his dark fur back down. He then glanced once more at "Sigrid", a charming gleam making its way into his olivine visionaries. "Name's Jerseyboy. Need someone ta' show you the ropes 'round here? A drink?" What? With the only girls around here being either total bitches or uninteresting in his eyes, a beautiful stranger joining BlizzardClan's rank was quite the exciting event for him.

  • Sigrid’s verdant eyes ripened with excitement when she caught sight of Sundance, her rising nerves cautiously bubbling down to a light simmer when she was greeted by the BlizzardClanner. “Hey! Thanks!” She mewed, tail flicking as it waivered beside her shoulder. It felt reassuring to see someone, especially if that someone wasn’t looking to gnaw her paws off. As a matter of fact, this someone was a medic trainee, which couldn’t possibly make Sigrid feel better. “It’s great to meet you— oh and you too!” The tawny tabby was mid-sentence when yet another BlizzardClanner came strolling beside the other. The two both bore a similar scent, and while Sigrid wouldn’t say she had the world’s finest nose, the BlizzardClan scent was pretty distinct to her. And besides all of that, the two both had pretty impressive appearances.

“Sundance ... Castiglione ... and, uh,” She echoed back their names, her eyes bouncing up in a way of remembering, just before she nodded and stated, “ ... Sigrid.” With a tail flick referring back to her, she let out a little laugh. Man, she was really cracking herself up today. The brand-spanking new BlizzardClanner was feeling pretty well as opposed to how she had just felt, which she figured would happen. It was always the anticipation that got to her the worst.

Before she could begin conversing with her two new acquaintances, her attention was taken yet again by a BlizzardClanner. Maybe her calling out hadn’t been such a bad idea! And from the words of this new fellow, she had nothing to worry about. Her eyes lit up in amusement at Jerseyboy. Sweetcheeks? Huh. She could feel her face get hot, though she wasn’t sure what she felt at all, and she didn’t know what to say ... “Ha!” Sigrid exclaimed, her eyes widening a bit as she smiled. It wasn’t a laugh directed at the tom, and that was clear, but rather it wasn’t a sound of entertainment that erupted from Sigrid. “My ... well, I guess I do need a bit of a tour guide, huh.” But was she so sure she wanted it to be him? He seemed friendly enough, just enough for the long haired tabby to know to be a tad careful. She wasn’t too sure if flirting was her thing, and was more cautious from the embarrassment of sounding stupid than getting tangled up with someone she wasn’t that interested in.

Still, she favored Jerseyboy, as she did with Sundance and Castiglione. It was always the first faces that she would remember best, she figured. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jerseyboy.” Sigrid glanced back over at Sundance and Castiglione, “What do you guys think, you think he’d be a good tour guide?”. She wanted to make sure she wasn't about to wander through an unknown territory with a stranger that had no clue where anything was. Yeah, Sigrid wanted her m

  • Alexis can't quite say she'd be too happy with the way Jerseyboy thinks of the girls in Blizzardclan, though in the long run, it doesn't really matter. He can think what he wants, no one's going to stop him. Likewise, no one can stop her from saying what she wants to say. "I don't know about tour guide, but I do think you can definitely do better," she quips as she joins the group, hazel gaze flicking between Sigrid and Jerseyboy before falling on the newcomer. Lexi gives her a cheery grin, "I'm Alexis, or Lexi, if you'd prefer, it's nice to meet you." Maybe it's some sort of camaraderie, or an overarching sense of protection, but she feels the need to give the other girl another option, so at least she can choose.

"Can't make your decisions for you, but I can take you on a tour if you want," Alexis offers with a small shrug, "it's your choice." Of course, Sigrid might genuinely be interested in Jerseyboy, in which case Lexi doesn't want to interfere; it's none of her business, after all.

  • THE IRONY HOWEVER, IS THAT I'M NOT ACTUALLY ANGRY —

The large obsidian dragoness snickers at Lexi's comment as she approached. While she might be lacking emotions now, it was still amusing to hear her speak of Jersey like that. Especially since Kady did not take a liking to him. He was smart to keep away from her and not try his cheesy flirting techniques or else she'd probably crack him in the face. "Well, whoever you decide... hope you enjoy yourself here. I'm Kady." And that was probably the most welcoming she could be with a dull voice and almost uninterested eyes. Hopefully this new gal doesn't take it personal since Kady's shade was taken away from her.

Was that even an excuse though? Probably not.

    — I'M TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO BE HAPPY, AND THAT IN ITSELF IS A WAR

  • The tom observed the fae before him as she instantly grinned and even managed a laugh at his introduction. By the looks of it, she wasn't mocking him but rather just reacting to his flirtation attempt in general. This was the reaction that he was looking for out of her; a giggle, a smile, a blush. Anything was better than a scoff (or a slap) to the face. She had considered his offer, but still hadn't fully rejected or accepted it, and was now looking to the others for approval. Yeah right, like they'd approve in any way. They probably thought the same thing: he was trouble. Jerseyboy's smile slightly faltered as Sigrid turned towards Sundance and Castiglione, and he hoped to God that they wouldn't throw him under the bus.

Before he could get a word in, more started showing up. Alexis, Kady - the whole fucking peanut gallery. They would be no help either, so he figured that he should start talking before they smudged dirt all over his first impression. Flicking an ear in annoyance towards Alexis as she offered a tour of her own, Jerseyboy stepped forward and snorted, "Oh lay off it, will ya'? I think I'm perfectly capable of givin' a tour to just about anybody." He was clearly determined to be chosen as the guide, and not so much as to spend time with the lovely newcomer, but to prove them both wrong. "I've lived 'ere longer than the both of yous combined." He had been here for a long time, and he was damn well sure that Kady nor Alexis had resided in BlizzardClan for even half as long.

*:・゚✦ "You sure don't act like it." commented Clove icily as she passed by Jerseyboy, her autumn eyes staring flatly at the other before she turned to the newcomer. A smile replaced the previous glare, and Clove dipped her head in greeting. Sigrid. That was a name she had never heard before, and though it was one Clove wouldn't have chosen for either herself or her children, she could appreciate the way it flowed off the tongue.

"I'm Clove. Welcome to BlizzardClan, Sigrid." the catsune hummed, halting beside Lexi and casting her clanmate a sidelong glance. Alexis would certainly be a better option than Jerseyboy in Clove's opinion, but it was up to Sigrid to decide.

As she awaited to hear the newcomer's response, Clove's attention drifted to Kady. Recently it had seemed like something was different about the vice-leader, as she had been walking rather listlessly around the territory with very little emotion in her responses compared to how she had previously been. It made Clove wonder whether she should ask Sundance to sit down with Kady and try and find out what the problem was.

  • ”Oof, rough.” The feline laughed gently towards Lexi and Jerseyboy. Intense stuff. Sigrid, lighthearted as she was, couldn’t help but giggle a bit between the bickering BlizzardClanners. Childish as she was, the pressure was on for her. Who to pick for her tour guide? The knot was settling back into her stomach, and her green eyes danced between the few of them. Jerseyboy seemed eager enough, but from what she could tell, maybe his reputation wasn’t the cleanest. Then Lexi too, who would be a safer option by far. And it was selfish of her to think that, huh? To potentially hurt his feelings just to keep her slate pretty and clean still? Was that what she really wanted her new life to be like. Man, her mom would think of her to be a whimp.

“Well, jeez. How about this ... both of you take me on a tour! I’d appreciate the company— hey, I appreciate the offers, really, too.” Sigrid murmured. There! She wouldn’t bow into her own conscience! Go, Sigrid, go. Between all the flirting and the offers and the tours the tabby caught the introductions of both Kady and Clove. She really couldn’t be anymore pleased, enjoying the attention but much more the company of so many new people. “It’s so nice to meet both of you, Kady and Clove. And you, Lexi! It’s been nice to meet all of you, truthfully.” Sigrid said, her eyes trying their best to meet the gaze of everyone else’s but simultaneously not trying to look insane. Even if Kady didn’t appear to be the most gleeful of the crew, Sigrid was still grinning right in all of their faces. She couldn’t help it! This had never happened to her before, never had so many animals approached her at once not looking to steal her food or chase her out of her house. Fun stuff!

  • Sigrid's decision, or rather, her compromise, causes Alexis to wrinkle her nose in distaste. The thought of spending an extended period of time with Jerseyboy isn't a pretty one, but at least there'll be a buffer between them, and if she so chooses to, she can just ignore him the entire way. It would be rude but she'll get over that hurdle when she comes to it. "Hmm, I don't mind," she says ultimately, acknowledging that perhaps Jerseyboy does know some nooks and crannies of the territory she hasn't yet found, though what he does in those nooks and crannies probably leaves many things to be desired.

No matter, Lexi will just come out of the experience with a new friend and, undoubtedly, many stories to tell Kofi.
