“Well I’m my kingdom, nobles and royals are taught to be as mannered as possible, and that includes dance etiquette as well.” She laughed.

He huffed with a hint of a smile, poking her cheek. “You’re Quite privileged you know. Most of that was never really needed or available.”
-
She flinched when he touched her slightly. “Well....I suppose so, but it was required as part of my duties to fulfill. Most of it was boring actually.”
-
“Mm, maybe so but knowledge is power. Anything you learn in life can be used to your advantage later on. It is much mightier than a sword.”
-
“Well why not learn to balance both of them.” Faye suggested with a raised brow.
-
“Mm, true. I’m no pacifist by any means but if I can avoid any more battles if possible, I would.”
-
She nodded. “The world isn’t perfect, but that would be desirable.”
-
He nods. “Very much so. Too many lives have been lost because of this world.”
-
“So what’s our plan of action next?” Faye asked. She leaned down to pick up a dandelion near by and blow on it.
-
“It’s still a little while before I need to make the announcement so we can rest a bit before then and talk.”
(Okay so I’m thinking these two dorks should kiss before Zy has to speak but I’m not sure how to make it natural with him seeming like he’s forcing himself on her. Any ideas?)
-
(Haha no worries, let’s just go with the flow)
Faye gave a nod, then turned to face him. Her blush returned. “I-I just wanted to say I’m sorry....and that your kingdom is very special. I’ve learned a lot just by being here and getting to know you all. You’re not as bad as my father makes you all out to be. I know my brother was killed, but that doesn’t make all of you monsters....not even you.” She whispered, looking up to meeting his gaze.
-
His golden eyes widen by a fraction, not having expected her to say this now. When she finished her apology and observation, Zy gently cupped one of her cheeks. “I’m just glad you got to know the people. It means so much to me Faye.” He whispered, leaning in closer until their lips was about to be touched. The dragon prince hesitated, wanting to kiss her but at the same time he didn’t want to force her if she didn’t want to do this.
-
She grinned before standing up on her top toes to take his face and gently place a kiss on his lips. It felt so....surreal. She never expected this to happen, but she also never expected to have developed feelings for him as well.
-
Zy relaxed, returning her kiss. This is something he had been wanting to do for a while down and it feels amazing to finally act on it.
-
Faye broke away to smile at him. “I...er...” She was at a loss for words. He truly was something else...and that was a fact. Before she could speak and say how she felt about him, a peasant ce running up.
“We are under attack!” He screamed.
-
Zyrsu’s eyes widen. “Faye, find Kari and get to safety. I’ll come back to find you once this is dealt with. Let any of my knights know to find me if you happen to run past any of them.”
-
Faye nodded and began to dash away back to the castle. Why was her father doing this?! She could see he was just raging war for no reason now...these people were defenseless at the moment. Well...now it was her time to fight with these people and not her own. Angrily, she stormed into the castle. She gave a worried glance around to find Kari. First, she charged up the stairs into her room. “Kari!” She cried out.
-
With luck, that was exactly where Kari was. She was getting something from the room when the attacked began. “Faye? What’s going on out there? I’m hearing a lot of noise.”
-
“We are under attack.” Faye explained urgently. “We don’t have time to gather everything, we just need to find a way out of here.” Quickly, Faye tore off her dress to reveal concealed battle armor underneath. On her leg was a knife that was hidden away. “I didn’t want you to see how I dressed because I’m always prepared for what might come...it’s just too bad I don’t have my brother’s sword with me to fight properly....” She sighed.
-
Kari’s brows raised in surprisebut she shook it off as it wasn’t the time to stall. “No matter, we have secret passageways out of the castle and there’s several spots we can come out from. It just depends on where you need to go. I can take you to the armory to get a weapon. I know it’s not the same as your brother’s sword but it’s better than nothing.”
