  • The 'young man' furiously shivered, rubbing 'his' arms while 'his' teeth chattered. So going North...Without proper clothing...May have been a bad idea. Melena would never had admitted this. "G-Good work. We m-may enter freely." she praised the Wolf before leading all of them forward to the gates. First, the woman-turned-man shoved against them. And when that failed, she gestured for the Wolf to push them down.

  • To the Wolf, manual labor was like child's play as it effortlessly nudged the doors open wide enough for Melena and the rest of her entourage to pass through. In frigid temperatures like where they were, it came as absolutely no surprise that the Witch and her fae were suffering the extreme cold, more used to the temperate climate of the mountain.

    "P-Perhaps we should f-f-find shelter bef-fore we f-f-freeze Mistress..."

Considering the blasted cold, finding sanctuary was probably the best idea. There had to be a nearby inn for them to stay in... and swipe some warm clothes from...

  • "P-Perhaps that's best." Melena was prideful, but far from stupid. The Sorceress did not want to be brought down by mere frostbite. The woman-in-the-guise of a young man led their group into the city. Glaring at passerby in irritation for everything. All the cold, the fact they were staring at her...Ugh. Mortals.

Pounding. Someone was frantically pounding at the building's door. As well as frantic shouting. Appearing to simply be frantic, lost travelers.

  • (Personally, I would've added a proper transition to let you know there was a change of perspective. The abrupt nature of your transition (on top of your admittedly short, stutter-y sentences) made it confusing to read

    Lemme fix it for you)

It was an awfully busy day in the Old Dragon Inn; business boomed as rooms were being taken left and right. It was a smart move for the Innkeeper to have let the old man and his daughters use the ground floor for their tavern, now he got a small share of the profits from them, and drunken patrons always meant more business for him.

There was a loud knock at the wooden door. Didn't the person on the other side realize it was never locked? What kind of inn would lock the door to potential stayers?

The innkeeper got his answer after a few minutes once the door finally opened, revealing three young folk wearing light clothing running in from the cold. No doubts they were outsiders; no local would be that stupid to go out wearing what they wore. At least they had the decency of being civilized, unlike some of the tavern patrons merrily drinking themselves under just a few hops away.

"A-Are there rooms for t-the night?" stuttered a little lady, shivering furiously along with her compatriots. Yep, definitely outsiders.

"Two rooms Miss; one has a bed, the other has two." The innkeeper's response was quick, eyeing the three. "It's thirty Silver for them." He added on, not noticing the inward sigh the young man of the group made. The lady passed him a small pouch of silver coins, and after counting them, he gave them the simple iron keys to the rooms. He put the pouch away under the clerk's desk he had in the back as the three left upstairs to the rooms, quickly going back to business making sure the drunken morons in the tavern didn't try any funny business.

He didn't notice the pouch he had been given earlier disappear into nothing...

Good, Melena's fae servants managed to get away with securing rooms for them, and without having to actually pay nonetheless! Thank the Gods the world still used the old monetary currency; it would've been incredibly awkward if the Witch bumbled trying to figure out any new currency forms. (Currency is in Gold, Silver, and Bronze Coins. 100 Bronze Coins = 1 Silver Coin, 100 Silver Coins = 1 Gold Coin, 1 Silver = $1 for comparison) The fae quietly led them all to the rooms they had, conveniently at the end of the hall of doors upstairs. Melena obviously would get the room with the single bed, so that's why she had the key to that room; the fae would rest in the other room to keep up the illusion Melena's had, so as to not arouse suspicion. She couldn't guarantee that her blasted enemies weren't nearby somehow, so it was better to play cautiously than risk being found early.
