Toxicpassion wasn't entirely sure why she'd taken up the ambassador job to the Ruins; this was the remnants of BloodClan, if she remembered correctly. Goddesses above, she'd been a loner so long that everything had changed. The last time she was here, Cataclysm had been leader. She'd never had a conversation with the imposing guy, but she'd respected him-- high praise from the RadicalClanner she was at the time. Maybe it was nostalgia that had led her to take the job offered by Standstill, the hope of seeing an old face.

With her she carried a small basket of herbs; the desert was barely habitable, to her knowledge, and she respected the group for being able to live there. Since Veil territory was a perfect place for someone with flower prints to use her powers, she would use them as gifts to their ally.

"Hey! Anyone home? I brought presents." She called out, dark tail sweeping across the ground.

  • If Toxicpassion was looking for an old face, you could count Jack. After all, he knew Cat pretty well (mostly due to the fact that his mother, Amour, had a thing with Cat). Making his way to the border, he paused at the smell of a Shadow Veil member. She was carrying a basket as well - a gift? "Oi, yes I'm home here. Nice of ya Shadowers to bring gifts. How y'all doing over there?" the Darling peered inside the basket. Ah herbs. How nice, since the desert didn't actually provide much planting ground for herbs. "Standstill gucci over there?"

Oh good, someone had come to greet her. She was surprised by the promptness of the Ruins' ocelot, but afforded him a friendly nod despite the unease curling in her gut. She was still getting used to the whole male thing, but she was trying. She nudged the basket towards him as encouragement to take it, and then considered his questions.

"We're doing okay. Most of our issues have been the Thunderlands," she admitted with a flick of her tail, an edge of annoyance to her tone as she spoke of the petty group that were currently trying to instigate a war. "But Standstill is doing well. He's a good leader, and the Veil seems happy. But I don't think we've met. I'm Toxicpassion, and you are ...?" She paused for a moment, waiting for his introduction.

  • Well. Wouldn't this be awkward. Well, she would just have to grin and bear it. Lay low. Let nature run its course and maybe he would piss off someone else who would take his soul and kill it.

"Erm...hello there. Toxicpassion." came the leopard's voice, before she appeared. "I'm Mingan, um...it's...nice to hear the Veil's doing great! And, uh, thanks for the...gifts." God, if leopards could sweat, the fur and skin would be melting off of her body. "Of course, those nasty Thunderlands, aha..." She ended this statement with an awkward grin. Lovely. If Toxicpassion found out, she would have a bounty over her head. She just didn't want to deal with her brother right now, not when the Veil were supposedly allies with the Ruins. Yowza. Well, she didn't want to relocate. This is where she was going to stay.

  • Ah, the jitteriness of RadicalClanners, who he never understood. How could you hate males? Females sure were weird, well that is, if he even knew Toxic came from RadicalClan. Oh, Thunderlands? At least they had like fun drama. No battles or wars going on over here in Sanguine Ruins (well that is a good thing, but Jack lived for drama). He glanced over to Mingan who had joined both of them. Man, if anything, that awkward grin and statement probably tipped it off. Hopefully Toxic didn't notice that. He turned back to the Shadow Veil member. "Sucks for Thunderlands peeps, hate 'em too because of one of the old darn leader near killed me. Hope y'all get them or something. Anyway, nice to meet ya Tic Toc. I'm Crackerjacker, Jack for short. And yea, this Minnie here."

Toxicpassion wasn't an idiot, but she didn't care, if she was honest. If this nervous-looking leopardess - Mingan, she had said her name was - was once a loyal Thunderlander, then all Toxicpassion needed to do was tell Standstill when she got home. They were allies, so hopefully he wouldn't overreact? But that was all if she remembered.

"A pleasure, Mingan, Jack." The corner of her maw twitched, threatening a smile, at the nickname. Now that was a new one, and she ... didn't mind it. Sure, it wasn't as dead on as flower-ass, but as far as nicknames went it was a good one. And Crackerjacker ... the name sounded familiar. She couldn't quite place it, though, and decided it was a question for later. "How are the Ruins faring? You guys used to be BloodClan, if I'm not mistaken?"

  • Seeing as it was going to be a bit of a conversation instead of "hello okay thanks for being an ally bye," the ocelot decided to sit down as he listened to the female. "We gucci here too. Mostly peace and quiet though which is technically a good thing," he nodded, "And yup, we used to be BloodClan. Much prefer that name, but eh, nothing we can do about that. Just wondering, any oldies around in Shadow Veil beside Standstill?" Truthfully, he lowkey missed the days of when Angelbeats was leader, even though his days in Shadow Veil was not very long. "I mean I hope I'm not keeping you from staying too long if ya got duties so ya don't have to answer."

  • Something was keeping her paws rooted to the ground. She couldn't run, nor walk. It was like roots were chaining her, or something. As she watched Jack and Toxic converse, everything went well, until...

"Just wondering, any oldies in Shadow Veil besides Standstill?"

Oh God. Oh God. From what the leopard observed, Toxicpassion seemed like a newer member, and probably didn't know the drama between Mingan and Soundcheck. But word spread fast here. She couldn't help but have a nervous chuckle leave her maw as she waited for the ambassador to answer the question.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ —The female hung back from the Shadow Veiler and lowered her ears. She shook her head a bit and then backed up. Sitting in silence and watching the female nervously. She clearly was upset by something.

Ah, so they had been BloodClan. It was reassuring to see another old Clan still around, but modernised to fit with the times. She shook her head at Jack's comment about her shirking duty, a silent no, I'm cleared to stay and chat as she considered his question about other old timers. Mingan was still acting strange, something she would mention to Standstill when she got back, and the arrival of another Ruiner made her nod a greeting. She turned her attention back to Jack with an answer.

"I think Soundcheck is old, pretty sure he was the Shadowkeeper before Standstill stepped up." She meowed, genuinely considering the question. Really, she didn't know a lot of the Veil yet, let alone which ones were old timers like her and Jack. "I think Feliks is too."

  • Mike seemed to melt from a shadow, his blue runes like the sky, an innocent blue for once. "I just got back from the Veil myself. Y'all got a nice little setup going on." The wolf said as he walked up and passed Always with a curt nod and smile. "Kinda spooky, especially that river. Threw me off when I stopped by with the baskets." he added and sat there, looking like he had something to hid but something to be proud of too.

  • The ocelot heard a new member join them and he glanced back to see Always Dead. Hmm, everyone seems to be on the fence for some reason. He must be missing something. Shrugging to himself mentally, he turned back to the star of the attention. "Well, I came back alive like two weeks ago I think so Soundcheck don't ring a bell, unfortunately. How's Feliks been though? Haven't he been up to a lot of troubles?" The Darling wasn't sure if the former BlizzardClanner had been into some troubles recently, but he knew in the past there had been drama, although what was it, he had no idea because who gave a frickle frackle about BlizzardClan (not hime). Another voice joined them and he glanced back again to see Mike. Ah right, he had just reminded Jack to do his ambassador duties. He turned back to Toxic. "Well, you would definitely see my face more in Shadow Veil since I've just become the new ambassador."

  • Mingan wasn't sure how long she could keep this up. She felt like she could faint. Even after Toxic mentioned Soundcheck. So she doesn't know about me trying to kill my brother. Well, that was a relief. He was just famous for being leader. If word got out she had tried to kill him...she would have to take Una and run again. And she did not want to run.

Comeoncomeoncomeon leeeeeeeave. Mingan made a mental note to change literally everything about her when she got back. Go all out. Body, name, voice. Make her so unrecognizable.

Well, no. Maybe just her name and body. Maybe she was going overboard.
