Plot with Dadjoke - Always Open

Introduction

Hello, I'm Dadjoke, also known as Ness or Dad! My pronouns are they/them, and I'd prefer if you stuck to them for the most part. I'm kind of a newbie roleplayer, but I'd probably fit best in the semi-lit to advanced category because I like longer responses and mostly using good grammar. (Note: I'm not against RP-ing with anyone, no matter your skills! Though if you want me to give you suggestions on editing your posts, feel free to ask anytime, even if I'm not RP-ing with you! My messages are always open and I'll try to respond within a day.)

Since I'm new, I'm open to most types of RPs, though I'd prefer fantasy, urban fantasy, or fandom based rps. I'm mostly comfortable doing b/b or f/f for romance RPs, and I'm also open to fantasy RPs with furry characters!

Personal Rules

* Be open to disabilities, LGBT, different races, furries, etc.

* Pretty active - I try to respond within 24 hours, so I hope you do the same.

* English-speaking. I'm passable with Spanish but I can't read textspeak all that well. [I used to think eggplant + sweat meant wash your veggies, so...um, yeah]

* State if you are okay with swearing and lewd references / nsfw. I can filter pretty well, but I'd like the freedom to say naughty words

* Don't be a jerk. In the RP, your character can be a jerk (because characters are varied like that), but if I can't talk to you civilly, it'll be really hard to coordinate plot.

* Mention if you're okay with darker topics like depression or tragedy. Let's have FUN and get jiggy with the pain.

Maybe the three of us set out to find some magical artifacts in our trusty Subaru, stopping first in Florida to search for the spring of youth. Basic road trip plot (since Kyass and I never got to that one LOL).

Perhaps as more treasure-hunting "it makes money" kinda thing crossed with cooler Indiana Jones and magic?

for my furry universe, it's just a highly magical alternate universe where many animals evolved to humanoid/anthro form at the same rate as humans so they've always been pretty collaboratory (and as a result of the strong magic, interspecies romance between consenting adults often has children that are half one and half the other)

I just set most of my writing in said universe in different locations, and the magic lets me throw in tv headed characters and similar bullshit that would work better as a tv show but shhh.

Besides what I listed up there (Lord of the Rings), I'm also a Next Generation trekkie and Disney junkie (animated, not live action)

It's really hard to list specifics though because like my favorite movies are all more random. Rocky Horror, Romeo + Juliet (i like the guns all having sword names shh), Nausicaa and the Valley of the Winds, Donnie Darko (plan to rewatch), V is for Vandetta [gay noises], Princess Bride, and Monty Python and the holy Grail.

And then parody/humor movies like Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Scary Movie.

Edit: and as for the RP, we could always add more stuff as we travel, like the big quest is finding the spring to help Ashley, but we are poor so doing side stuff for money would be fun. Like getting paid to help an old lady shop. Circuit convincing Todd to help Ashley is gonna be hard since he doesn't trust cats.
