  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit ran to the freshkill pile, then ran back to the nursery. He did this a few more times before he stopped, getting frustrated. There wasn't enough room to really run! And there was no one to train him! How was he supposed to properly prepare to become an apprentice if he couldn't practice! He huffed and sat down. There was no point in even trying. Everyone always told him to enjoy being a kit whenever he asked them to help him train. No one understood how he felt!

( HOLLEY   LionStride.   #heatherkit   beetlekit! thought that we needed to spend more time as a family, so here we go!)

  • Head resting on paws, the tom watches his brother race back and forth across the camp. Rounded ears tip forward, catching the sound of him sighing in frustration, causing the larger kit to stand and stretch before heading over.

Want to play Warrior? I’ll even let you be Jasperstar, and we can pretend we’re fighting off BloodClan!

At least then they can maybe learn some battle moves, even though they’ll be absolute rubbish compared to real warrior moves.

Now they just need a target...

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit looked up as his brother walked over and offered to play a game with him. He sighed. While he appreciated that Jaguarkit was trying to help, it just wasn't the same as actually training. And he didn't want to play, he wanted to learn the proper way that warrior's fought and hunted. Shaking his head, she said, "No thanks Jaguarkit, I'd rather train." While trying to train he could at least try to imitate the moves he had seen the apprentices showing off to each other. He knew that if he just kept trying that he'd get it eventually.

    (yay! finally someone replied!)

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit frowned at his brother's behavior, feeling a bit guilty. So he flicked his tail like it was nothing and said, "Yeah, sure, let's do that. We'd probably learn more by trying to moves on each other anyways."

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit saw his brother get ready and smiled to himself. Well, if he was ready then... Racing forward, he went to dash under his bigger sibling's legs and tried to pull one of his legs out from under him like he'd seen the apprentices do.

  • Runningkit rushes forward, and goes to go under him. But before Runningkit has the chance to do anything (if that’s allowed?) Jagaurkit drops his weight on top of Runningkit, and aims to roll them both over.

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit notices Jaguarkit shifting his weight and decides to try dashing out from under him quickly instead of trying to swipe at his leg. He nearly makes it with his brother landing on just his tail instead. Yowling, he tries grabbing his brother's head with his forepaws.

(yeah, that's totally fine, especially if you give me the chance to do something about it or to just allow it to happen. I have a choice about what I want to allow to happen to my cat. the open ended way you did that was perfect. it gives me the chance to react.)

  • He gives a small growl of disappointment when his attack fails, only ending up with Runningkit’s tail. Runningkit twists, grabbing at his head, and Jaguar gives a swipe with his paws to try and knock Runningkit’s paws lose.

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit's paws got knocked off Jaguarkit's head when he swiped at him. Huffing in frustration he tried to think of something else because he just wanted his tail to come out from under Jaguarkit. And he couldn't ask, no, because this might happen in a battle and he'd have to figure out how to get out of it then. Deciding to go for a different tactic, he looked around and spotted a tuft of grass. Grabbing it, she moved it back in front of his brother's nose, trying to tickle him enough that he'd move.

  • Boy his brother was not willing to give up. Next thing he knew, he was being tickled under the nose with grass. He had never heard of a warrior-

    A-CHOO!

He’s forced to back up, from the force of the sneeze, effectively releasing his brother, and rubbing at his nose momentarily. But if this were a battle, there’d be no time for a scathing remark, in fact the enemy would have probably already been on top of him by now, with all the thinking he was doing and stalling.

The tom sniffs, feigning a strike to the left, before quickly switching to the right, and aiming for a blow to the chest.

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - As soon as Jaguarkit's weight was off him even a little he got out from under his brother. Ouch, his tail hurt. He took a moment to stand still and let the throbbing lessen before realizing that he was leaving himself open. Luckily his brother had been distracted too. When his brother went to swipe at him he jumped back only to notice that that had been a feign and that he was instead trying to strike with his other paw. Good thing he'd jumped back. His brother had probably put more power into that second strike so his weight was probably uneven. Now was his chance. Being a more light-weight cat, he knew he couldn't win against his brother in strength. Luckily, he had speed on his side. Dashing forward, he went to leap onto his brother's side, trying to over balance him and make him fall over.

  • His brother leaped back just in time to avoid both strikes, only to come catapulting onto his side. Totally unbalanced, he flops to the side, aiming to roll and smother Runningkit, but not too much.

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit felt victorious as his brother started to fall. That quickly changed to surprise as Jaguarkit kept rolling and ended up on top of him. Huffing at his brother's weight, he tried to wriggle out from under him.

  • RUNNINGKIT

➳ - Runningkit was still struggling when Jaguarkit started talking like he'd won already. He huffed at Jaguarkit's names for them. He was trying to be leader while Runningkit was left with a name like that? No way. He'd show his brother. Then Jaguarkit got off. Getting up, he looked at his brother, confused. Then he realized that Jaguarkit thought that he'd won. With a mischievous gleam in his eye, he said, "I didn't say I gave up!" Then dashed at him, going to run past his right side and hook a leg out from under him at the same time, hoping to catch him by surprise.
