If she was entirely honest, Dovestorm was really lost. She knew some people went exploring out of wanderlust, or something similar, but nope. She just had plain old no clue where she was; and what a strange place she'd found herself. A a big stone staircase could be seen nearby that stretched up even farther than the pale tabby could crane her head back and see.

But borders were borders, and from the oddly consistent smell in the air it seemed she'd arrived at some. With a small hum, Dovestorm decided that she wouldn't explore just yet. Hopefully whoever lived here could let her stay, at least for a while.

"Hello?" She called out, hoping her voice would carry to get the attention of someone who lived here. She then realised she could help it do so and focused hard, closing her blue eyes against the cold. A light breeze swept around her shoulders - oh stars, that was even colder - and she tried again. "Hello! Anyone out there?"

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Another stranger? Just how many did BlizzardClan get a day? With that being said...well, it was more students for Sundance to teach.

The pregnant kitsune made her way forward, feeling sluggish and about ready to burst. "May I help you?" Damn it, she shouldn't be out here. But she was anyway.

    "speech"

  • "Hello." Rhaenyra echoed the stranger's greeting, approaching slowly on delicate paws. The catsune kitten kept her distance, knowing to be at least a little cautious around strangers. Her grey eyes briefly flickering towards Sundance, they quickly flitted back to the stranger. "Are you lost or something?" She had known to wait at the borders, yeah, but that didn't say much. The smell was immediately obvious to any passerby.

  • Following a distance after his niece, Piedpiper joined her and Sundance, his pink eyes immediately trained on the stranger opposite them. "Hey." Dovestorm looked friendly. A possible joiner? She didn't seem to be an ambassador - he couldn't pick up any noticeable clan scent on her. "This is BlizzardClan territory," the fox added helpfully.

Blue eyes landed on Sundance first, observing the kitsune who was very obviously pregnant. As she acknowledged it silently, her expression softened somewhat and she nodded.

"Yes, actually. I'm-" a young voice cut her off, and Dovestorm turned to see a youth with sharp grey eyes watching her from a safe distance; it was almost enough to draw an amused smile to her maw, but she could understand it. She was a stranger, after all. What actually made her smile was the question, and she huffed a soft laugh.

"Hopelessly, my dear. And BlizzardClan, hmm ..." A fox had joined them by the time she answered the young one, and so Dovestorm added a thoughtful hum in response to the new information she'd gained. "May I ask your stance on providing shelter to outsiders?"

  • He couldn't help but crack a slight smile, overhearing Dovestorm's answer to Rhaenyra's inquiry. "BlizzardClan's doors are always open to those with honest intentions," the Paladin Commander answered. Be they guests or more permanent residents. "I'm Piedpiper, by the way," the silver canid was nodding softly as he spoke. "You have a name too, I'm guessing." That was his way of asking for her name. After saying the same phrase over and over again, he was trying desperately for a little break from the routine.

Dovestorm nodded, relaxing incrementally when the rather friendly BlizzardClanner explained his Clan's answer to her question. Her head tilted to the left as the fox introduced himself as Piedpiper, and another small laugh could be heard when he asked her name. He sounded like someone who was a tad tired of the monotony of asking others their names.

"A pleasure to meet you. My name is Dovestorm." She paused a moment, allowing either the gravid kitsune or the curious youth to have input, then set her posture upright and continued. "If you'll have me, I'd be interested in staying in this Clan." At least for a while, anyway.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Dovestorm, hmm? An interesting name. "Of course! Welcome to BlizzardClan. I'm Sundance, a medic trainee here." A feeling of forgetfulness washed over her all of a sudden, and she swiveled her head back. It felt so weird not having Espresso by her side, but she figured he would come along eventually. For now, a new joiner was here and the kitsune was happy.

    "speech"

  • dovestorm. an interesting name, but he supposed he liked it. the scarred tom approached silently, pausing behind piedpiper. he peered at the newcomer quietly for a few moments before letting out a grunt. "welcome. i'm aristotle." he introduced himself plainly, tail twitching idly.

  • Canoris joined the group, happy to see Aristotle up and about after his injuries. Canoris didn't focus on the BlizzardClanners too much though, she had others to focus on. Looking at the newcomer, Canoris wasn't sure how she felt about temporary residents, but it wasn't her decision. "Welcome to BlizzardClan Dovestorm, I'm Canoris."

Behind Canoris swooped in a small rabbit-sized dragon. (Squirrel had been practicing sharp maneuvers and hadn't bothered unshrinking himself). The bright blue dragon landed lightly and dipped his head to Dovestorm, "It's pleasure to meet you Dovestorm, my name is Squirrel."

Goodness, it seemed like a lot of the Clan was coming out to see her. Dovestorm flushed under her fur at the attention, but offered smiles and nods to everyone who had come up and introduced themselves. The kitsune was Sundance and was a medic trainee - it seemed that BlizzardClan had a designated rank for healers, and the pale tabby was curious as to who her mentor was. A question for later. A seemly shy tomcat who introduced himself as Aristotle. A dark-furred wolf with a scar over his eye, Canoris. Squirrel was arguably the strangest name she'd ever heard of for a dragon, but it was a good name to know.

"A pleasure to meet you, everyone," she enthused, tail curling gracefully in the air as she spoke. "I hope that I will get along with you all."

*:・゚✦ "So do I." Clove greeted, her voice toned with amusement. It would sure be better for everyone if that was the case, but as Clove had already come to understand, there were people in BlizzardClan she had a hard time getting along with.

"I'm Clove. Welcome to BlizzardClan, Dovestorm." the catsune nodded, inclining her head politely to the other as she spoke. It seemed Clove's own joining a week ago had come just before, ironically, a storm of joiners.

"If you need anything, you're welcome to come and find me." Clove added after a moment, her golden eyes set upon the other curiously.

  • ANGELBLUE

❝Here's to the boy whose only mistake was trusting in angels❞

TAGS ☆彡someone was joining, how nice! the thought would echo mindlessly in his head, as he came forth, standing off to the side. he'd look at dovestorm idly, offering a ghostly half wave. he was much too lazy to do the entire thing, it seemed! hello! my name's angel that cries blue- or just angelblue, or angel, i don't really care~ welcome! he'd greet cheerfully, yet aloofly.

  • BRAVE THE SHADOWS, FIND THE TRUTH—

A less depressed Espresso finally put in an appearance, smiling as he sat beside angelblue. "Welcome Dovestorm. I'm Espresso, a paladin trainee."

    "Speech"

  • Canoris laughed a bit at Dovestorm's words. "Get along with everyone." Her tone was skeptical, but her eyes still glimmered with amusement. "Maybe. But there are a lot of us." Even if Dovestorm was a complete people pleaser, she'd probably still manage to get on at least one person's not-good side. "Where to now? Camp?" Canoris really didn't like giving tours, but she would if the joiner really wanted one and no one else was available.

More BlizzardClanners arrived, giving more names for Dovestorm to remember. Clove, Angel, and Espresso; each individual was unique and distinguishable from the next.

"Thank you all," she meowed, nodding to all of them in turn. "Lady Clove, I may take you up on that offer. And if I may request a tour around camp, I will; but I'm quite content to explore the territory in my own time."

    storage + plot + thread2

  • "Oh, I'm Rhaenyra, by the way," the kitten spoke up. "Rhaenyra Targaryen." Once Dovestorm had stated her intentions on staying, most of her clanmates had showed up in record time. But the new BlizzardClanner didn't seem very phase by the large group of animals. Which was good because she hadn't even met the rest of BlizzardClan yet. "Good luck exploring." She liked to explore too, but she preferred to do it in Valaerya's company.

  • The half blind wolf nodded, "Let's head back to camp then." No reason to piddle around here any longer.

Turning to head back, Squirrel made a swift jump and glided onto Canoris' back. The dark brown wolf stopped and tensed up, "Squirrel, get off." She said, the whisper of a growl rumbling in her tone.

Squirrel hopped off quickly, unsure why Canoris was so quick to anger but not about to ask, "I'm sorry Canoris, pardon me." He said.

"In fact, if you want to do what I ask so bad, you can give Dovestorm the tour of camp." Canoris said, not in the mood to do anything friendly right now. Without another word she headed back to camp in a swift gait. Feeling the pressure of the rabbit-sized dragon on her back felt a lot like Surge, and Surge was dead. Canoris wanted no reminders of her deceased friend.

Looking scared out of his wits, the blue dragon took a breath to calm himself. Growing a bit until he was the size of a wolf - a size much more appropriate for walking - the blue dragon turned around to face Dovestorm. "I seemed to have upset her. But no matter, follow me and I'll give you and whoever else wants to come a grand tour of the camp!"
