  • Dmitrii smiled. "Sure!" Following her lead, he walked down a street with her. Trying to focus on nothing but the sidewalk in front of him. He looked around. "There aren't any big cities in Hoenn. What about in Kalos?" The large concrete buildings on each side of him were like an assurance that no more harm would probably come to him. He took his eyes off the sidewalk and looked around, feeling a little braver.

That didn't last for long. Dmitrii quickly sucked in a breath of air and stopped moving, paralyzed by the sight of a large featureless figure in front of them. He immediately stopped and started backing away slowly.

aaaaaand the schizophrenia beguns! ill try and clarify if anything isnt actually real

  • OOC: That would be helpful lol

IC: "Really? I thought there had been a few large ones there. There is one in Kalos, but it's not nearly as-Dmitrii?" Amy suddenly blinked as her friend was no longer at her side. She turned around to see him backing away from her as if he was afraid of something. She was afraid to take her eyes off him encase he ran away in fright, "what's wrong?"

She was hesitant to say whatever he saw wasn't real just on the offhand chance it was. She wasn't sure how to deal with somebody with this kind of illness and she doubted he would want to go back to the Pokemon Center to just sit. Maybe agreeing to walk around hadn't been the best idea on her end.

  • lol

Dmitrii ignored Amy as the figure walked past him. The faceless entity seemingly ignored him. He exhaled the breath he didn't realize he was holding before resuming walking. "I don't know if I can survive two weeks. As soon as I'm off those pills he comes back." He shuddered. "He's not very nice." He looked around, now. Figuring that he should try distracting himself. "So, you never told me why exactly you had left Kalos. Was it really just for the sake of traveling? A lot of people don't like big change, like leaving their homeland to visit other places. Banette hopped down from Dmitrii's head and started trying to initiate a chat with Braixen whilst walking beside her. Dmitrii smiled. "It seems as though our pokemon get along well, huh?"

  • "Why I left? There really isn't some grand reason, I just wanted to go," She shrugged as the mention of a 'he' got stuck in the back of her mind, "my brother traveled around Kalos for his journey and I just thought it seemed like fun," Amy shoved her hands in her pockets. Braixy smiled at the company and was more than happy to talk to Banette about, well, everything! Braixy didn't understand the word 'secret' and probably never would. Amy smiled at them happily, "they really do, huh?" She wanted to ask who 'he' was, but he seemed like he was in a good mood for now, so she resolved to ask once he was back on his medication. At least then there wouldn't be the risk of sparking an episode... Of course that then brought on a spark of anger deep in her chest. Who in their right mind would steal somebody's medication?

  • Dmitrii nodded. "It is pretty fun to travel around." He looked at Braixen and Banette, and then continued. "Say, do you have any other pokemon? I only have two more other than Banette." He looked around, and then saw a pokemon park. "In all honesty, I haven't let mine out since the boat ride. I should really do that. Let's go over here for a little bit." Walking into the park, a breeze of cool midday air hit their faces. Dmitrii let out his Honchcrow and Scizor. The trainer's pokemon immediately went wide-eyed, confused and startled at his injuries, which Banette explained. Scizor crossed his arms and Honchcrow ruffled his feathers. This had never happened before, not in all of all of their trainer's gambling adventures. "Scizor, Honchcrow, this is Amy and Braixen. Don't forget your manners." Both of the said pokemon gave a friendly wave before walking to Banette and Braixen, joining the conversation.

  • "That's hilarious, I only have two others as well," Amy laughed as they headed towards the park. She watched the exchange between Dmitrii and his Pokemon with a small smile as they soon went over to join Braixy and Banette, "they really care for you, that's so sweet to see," She hummed before pulling a single Pokeball from her pocket and tossing it in the air. A bright light exploded from it before a Raichu appeared on the ground, but this one was brighter in color than your typical Raichu... Another distinct feature of it was that it was floating on its tail. The creature howled in pleasure as it did a spin in the sunlight while Amy wandered to its side with a smile on her face, "be nice to everyone, okay?" She smiled and the electric-type smiled and floated past its trainer to join the others.

Braixy shook with delight before letting out a very happy, and long, yip to greet the new Pokemon and the late arriving Raichu. The Raichu's cheeks sparked with electricity as it returned Braixy's greetings and held its arms out for a hug, which the fire-type did not return for very good reason. Eventually Braixy noticed Amy standing back with Dmitrii and the ratio of Pokemon in their little circle. 2:3 did not bode well with the fire-type and it puffed out its cheeks in a pout and put its hands on its very fuzzy hips while Amy pretended not to notice.

  • Dmitrii and his team stood with gaping mouths, looking at the odd Raichu. "What type of Raichu is that!? I've never seen one like it!" The trainer exclaimed, aghast at the floating electric type. "It's... How is it floating?? Raichus aren't psychic types!" He circled the pokemon several times, wondering how it was doing the said action. "Wait a minute." Dmitrii said, as he counted the pokemon present. "I thought you said you have three pokemon? There's only five out here." Banette and his steel and dark type friends gave a friendly hello to the Raichu. For some reason though, the rather serious Scizor didn't seem to like the Raichu, though. Dmitrii's smile faltered. "Sorry about Scizor, he's... Very serious, and he doesnt like certain things for some reason. Though he's still a good pokemon! He's loyal, powerful, and incredibly intelligent."

  • "It's from Alola, I raised it from an egg," Amy said proudly as her Raichu aimed it's hug towards Scizor as if it didn't care who recieved its rather... Shocking affection, "in other words... I have no clue," Amy snickered at her Pokemon's actions as Braixy stomped over to her trainer in anger, "he seems like a wonderful Pokemon," Amy smiled as Braixy stopped beside her. She seemed to be avoiding addressing her lack of a third Pokemon, or at least she had been. Quicker than possible Braixy suddenly dived into her trainer's coat pocket with her tail lashing, "Braix-?!"

Amy was too late to finish her statement as a white light exploded fron her pocket to take form behind the two. When the light faded a creature considerably taller than the two appeared colored in a dark hue with a blood-red underbelly. Spikes orotruded from several locations acrosd the Pokemon and a few on each blade-shaped wing. It was easy to see where the two feet Banette lacked went as this Pokemon, this Garchomp, was two feet taller than the average of it's kind. Amy and Braixen froze as the creature let out a menacing growl and it seemed like it's eyes glowed yellow. The Garchomp's trainer looked embarassed, but Braixy turned to the large Pokemon with a smile and a happy yip as it held up the red ribbon from the carnival. Braixy hadn't wanted it for herself and she hadn't given it to Raichu after all, "uh... There's kind of a decent explanation?"

  • Dmitrii nodded. “That’s amazing! I’ve only heard stories about the Alolan Region and their strange pokemon.” Scizor backed away slowly, wanting to avoid a dose of high voltage. Completely forgetting his previous train of thought, Dmitrii stood with his mouth wide open at the sight of the powerful pokemon. “It’s HUGE!” He said, grinning. He circled around the land shark pokemon, observing every feature he could see. “These pokemon are incredily rare! Wherever did you find one, nevertheless friendly enough to be a suitable domestic pokemon?” He hesitantly reached out a hand to touch one of the enormous pokemon’s scaley fins.

Banette, Scizor, and Honchcrow immediately turned their heads to Garchomp once he was let out of his pokeball. Immediately, Scizor seemed to respect him - a rare thing for the metal and bug type to do. As he learned from his trainer, Scizor held out a claw, as if to shake the larger pokemon’s hand. “Wow, that’s odd.” Dmitrii scratched his chin. “Scizor rarely treats other pokemon as his equals. He must sense the raw power of your Garchomp.”

  • "This Pokemon actually isn't mine," Amy coughed as her cheeks tinted a pale shade of pink, "it belongs to my brother, he made me take his Garchomp with me," She explained. Garchomp stared a Dmitrii, but made no move to pull away as the trainer set his hands on one of his fins. Though, the reaction to Scizor was much different as the large shark Pokemon narrowed its eyes as if assessing a threat, but it still shook appendages with the other Pokemon, and the only thing rare about Raichu is his affection for others," She laughed.

Braixy took the opportunity during all the chaos to run around the Garchomp and climb up its back so the fire-type was by its head. Garchomp made a grunt of displeasure, but made no move to dislodge the smaller Pokemon as Braixy smiled and held up the ribbon. The shark Pokemon didn't get time to complain before Braixy tied the ribbon around its neck in a large bow. The large Pokemon did not look amused as Braixy clapped her hands in happiness at her handiwork while Raichu, who was happy with everything, cheered at Garchomp's new accessory. Being the rather mature trainer she is, Amy took one look at the accessory before she gripped her sides to hold in her laughter before the tears built up in her eyes and they burst out like a shockwave. The Garchomp did not look amused as Amy nearly fell over laughing and Raichu hovered around the large shark Pokemon with small little cheers and Braixy clapped in amusement. Garchomp was very tolerant of all this, but it really didn't want to be here.

  • Dmitrii nodded in understanding. "I gotcha. You're brother must be a strong trainer, huh? Not many people have pokemon like this." He observed the possibly beginning of a rival between the two strong pokemon. "That was very nice of your brother, he must really care about you to insist you take a pokemon like Garchomp." Dmitrii finished observing the large land shark and stood beside Amy. He, along with Scizor and Banette gave a chuckle as the powerful pokemon lost some of it's intimidating power as Braixen put the tiny ribbon around its neck. "It seems as though Braixen is putting that ribbon to good use, huh?" He grinned. "He's..... Very tolerant, isn't he?" Dmitrii walked over to Honchkrow and stratched his head, the bird pokemon happily accepting the affection. "So, did you ever visit Alola?"

sorry for the slightly smaller post

  • OOC: It's all good :3

IC: "He surprisingly is," Amy noted as Garchomp slid its foot closer to Raichu. The happy Pokemon didn't notice as it bumped the large Pokemon's leg and suddenly engulfed the ground-type in electricity as a pained shriek split the air. Garchomp was fine, but Braixy was fried and she fell off the Pokemon's back with a huff and a rather dazed expression, "I've never been to Alola, but my parents had," She nodded as Raichu went over to inspect the dazed fire-type, "and my brother refused to let me leave unless I took Garchomp with me otherwise he'd come with me, he's a bit over protective," She laughed awkwardly as the chaos unfolded behind her. Garchomp didn't look bothered in the slightest and even had the corners of its mouth twitch up just a little bit in a proud smile. Somehow during all of that the bow on Garchomp's neck had remained intact and still shone proudly in the light.

  • Dmitrii nodded. “I’ve heard strange things about Alola. Like apparently they dont have any gym leaders or something.” He stood wide eyed at the sight of Braixen getting fried by the electrical current. “Is she okay!?” He noticed the proud look on Garchomps face. “Oohh he’s sneaky, isn’t he?”

Dmitrii motioned for Scizor to come over where he was. Ignoring his scolding about his broken arm and why he shouldnt gamble. “You’re not going to try and pick a ight with Garchomp, are you? I know you’re used to being the strongest pokemon anywhere and I know you get jealous around other powerful pokemon.” Scizor looked at his feet and shook his head, embarrassed. Dmitrii nodded and continued his conversation eith Amy. “One day I want to go to Kalos, it seems like a wonderful place. There’s such interesting pokemon, and the towns seem beautiful.” He gave a chuckle. “Everything is very bland in Hoenn. I prefer basically any other region. But it’s a paradise for my father. The drunk bastard loves that place for some reason.”

just ouf of curiosity is her brother supposed to be a reslly strong trainer? 0.o that would be pretty cool if it turned put he was a gym leader or in the elite four or something

  • OOC: Her brother is super strong... And he's quite a character lol he came close to champion of Kalos, but fell short by just a hair

IC: "Indeed, he's smarter than my Pokemon at least," Amy sighed as Raichu floated around the dazed Braixy cheering, "of course he had to be, considering my brother is... Something else," She laughed. Braixy let out a cough before sitting up with ashen fur and a sort of crooked smile on her dazed face. Raichu continued to float around Braixy cheering happily as if she hadn't been shocked within a few feet of her life.

Garchomp watched Scizor carefully as Dmitrii comforted his Pokemon as if preparing quietly for a fight. The shark Pokemon had no intention of attacking unless attacked first. Amy nodded in agreement abou her homeland, "Kalos is really pretty, though I thought going to Hoenn would cool to visit," She hummed before glancing at Dmitrii as a few questions formed at the back of her mind, "if you... Don't mind me asking, what didn't you like about it... Besides your dad?"

  • kinda gruesome but i wanted something to give him a big reason to leave

Dmitrii froze. “The.. The reason I left wasn’t because of the scenery or anything. It was because of someone who decided to ruin my life.” Memories came flashing back to the commonly relaxed individual, making subconsciously scratch the inside of his forearms. Dmitrii took a shaky breath and sat down at a bench, his pokemon all bowed their heads, knowing the story that was about to be told. “It was when I was 15. I... I had come home from town one day, to find my sister dead. She was bleeding. There was so much blood. My... My best friend was stabbing her so many times I couldn’t count all the puncture marks, he didn’t care if she was already dead. When he noticed me, he told me thar this was my punishment for not being good enough. I tried to escape, but he was faster and stronger than me, tackling me to the floor and knocking me unconscious by slamming the handle of his knife into my head. I had been told later that he ran outside screaming hysterically that I had murdered my sister. No one believed me when I said he was the one who killed her. I was soon taken to jail, and was tried for murder, being sentenced guilty as an adult. I was sentenced to death row, because of some claims my ‘friend’ made about me torturing her. Whenever I was being taken to jail, I escaped and lived as a criminal for years. I tried to give myself a normal life, by stealing enough money to feed myself and for things like books to try and teach myself the school curriculum. I finished highschool early at my self-taught pace, and then came here.” He shuddered. “It was so agonizing, seeing televisions in city windows display interviews of my childhood friends, talking about how they should have known I would murder someone one day. But I didn’t do it.” Dmitrii tightened his white-knuckled fists. “I DIDN’T DO IT!” He buried his face in his hands, trying not to cry.

if its a hit over the top tell me because im not exactly sure myself

  • OOC: It is pretty gruesome. I feel bad for him, dealing with his gambling on top of his illness with a past like that, poor guy

IC: Amy let out a choked sob at the story while her Pokemon stopped playing around to listen. Braixy had tears streaming down her face and Garchomp bowed his head in apology. Raichu didn't understand a bit of it, but still stopped regardless of whether it understood or not what was happening. Amy wiped a few tears away before going to sit next to him on the bench and wrapping her arms around him, "I'm so sorry..." She sniffed. She felt bad for asking and she felt angry at people she didn't even know for what they did to him. Framing him for something he didn't do? Abandoning him because the world turned against him? It wasn't fair!

  • awee raichu is so adorable, and lol

Dmitrii wiped the tears from his eyes. “It’s not your fault, don’t be sorry.” He forced a smile on his face. “It’s done and done now. Yeah? I’ve changed my name since then, grown another few inches and grew my hair out. No one from Hoenn could recognize me as the person who supposedly killed their sister. It’s done and done, there’s nothing i can do about it.” He stood up and stretched, trying to act cheery despite his blue mood. “So what’s your brother like?”

His Honchkrow and Banette resmed their converse with Amy’s pokemon, but Scizor stayed back. “Lighten up Scizor, it’s done now. I know you don’t like them but theres nothing you can do about it, yes?” The statement didn’t seem to help Scizors mood. He quickly walked to his trainer and pressed the button on his pokeball, sending him back to whence he came earlier. Dmitrii sighed. “I’m sorry about Scizor, he just kind of gets like that sometimes.” Dmitrii gave a slightly forced chuckle. “He’s probably just angry right now, and wants to be alone.”

  • OOC: Yep lol there always has to be that one happy-go-lucky character X3

IC: "I can understand that, Garchomp isn't much for talking either," Amy hummed as she watched the Scizor disappear into it's Pokeball. The ground-type let out a rumble of relief before its posture slouched a bit in relaxation at the disappearance of the potential enemy. Braixy seemed better now and chatted happily with the others and Raichu was more than happy to hold a conversation. Those two seemed more than willing to converse while Garchomp stood like a silent guardian above them. He seemed content just to watch.

"My brother..." Amy trailed off as she smiled gently at the thought, "is probably the weirdest guy I've ever known. He can cry at the drop of a pin and at the same time he could be so happy and cheerful. He loves his Pokemon almost more than he does his own parents, but not more than me, he tells me all. The. Time," She joked, "he's a really good trainer and took his journey across Kalos and came really really close to being champion, but G-I mean a Pokemon on his team collapsed before the other Pokemon did so he lost," She quickly corrected herself as Garchomp discreetly looked the opposite direction.

  • Dmitrii smiled at the thought of kind memories with siblings. “He sounds like a great person. It’s a shame he hadn’t won.” He stretched, cracking his back before continuing. “It’s not common nowadays for anyone to get close to the champions. There just seems to be less and less talented trainers.” He bitterly stated. “But I guess it isnt a conpletely bad thing. Many people would rather study pokemon now for the betterment of the human race.” He looked around the park, spotting a few battes going on a little ways from them. “Ah, it looks like they’re hosting some local tournament.” Dmitrii rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as his stomach growled. “It looks like I’m a bit hungry. Are you?”

  • Amy didn't get to answer as Braixy and Raichu cheered happily at the idea of lunch while Amy was left to laugh at the outburst, "I guess we are," She giggled as her two energrtic Pokemon circled her. Garchomp did not look amused, but then, he hadn't looked amused nearly the entire time he's been out. The large Pokemon's attention was on the battles hapoening further on as the behemoth casually watched the fighting with a calculating stare. Amy didn't get a chance to see Garchomp's stare as her other two Pokemon circled her legs happily, "maybe we could try and find a restaurant nearby? It'd save us a long walk at least," She hummed. Braixy and Raichu cheered again at the idea as if it were the best idea ever. Where they went didn't matter in the slightest to the two, only the action of going there.
