"Well..I have nowhere to put it for now.." He bit his lip. "Could you..maybe..keep it safe for me until I go home tonight?" He didn't want to ruin it by carrying it around in his pocket all day; it was to precious and he knew it would be in good hands with her.

She smiled and nodded, “Of course, Mason. I wouldn’t mind at all.” She said, lightly taking the paper bunny back. “I’ll wait in the garden to meet up with you before you leave later on.” She promised with a smile
-
"Thank you, your highness.." He bowed and smiled fondly at her. "I really do appreciate everything you do..even if it is something small. You..you are a very kind, and very compassionate princess and anyone would be lucky to have you.."
-
Elizabeth blushed a little and said, "Thank you mason... for what it's worth, I like having you around sometimes. You are just as kind and compassionate. It's my job to keep my people happy and content, but you don't need a reason. I find it interesting." She said with a laugh
-
"Well..I-I plan on being here for quite a long time..i may be just a cleaner, but..I'll protect you with my whole being as if I were a royal guard." He was telling the truth; he knew that he was going to guard Elizabeth with his life.
-
She blushed as he spoke and shook her head. “You don’t need to protect me.. I appreciate it though. Blake isn’t the best person but I can make our kingdom prosper and give it more potential than ever before.” She said and lightly patted his shoulder and smiled.
-
Mason bit his lip and nodded, keeping himself from saying anything that would get him in trouble. "I understand, your highness..I wish you nothing but happiness."
-
She smiled lightly and said, “As a royal, I have to keep everyone happy and there is a balance between class of citizens. Nobles and high class citizens get more attention because they are greedy and very likely to start a revolt and actually succeed. Everyone less, we can only offer jobs as servants to help them prosper. This marriage could benefit the lower classes and keep the balance as well. You could benefit, your family, friends, and everyone else can benefit.” She said softly “That’s what would make me the happiest.”
-
He chuckled softly and nodded, looking down at his hands. "If I had friends and family..I'd want them to be happy, too. Very much."
-
She frowned and lightly lifted his head. “You’re a good man. Eventually you’ll find a wife and create a family of your own. I want you and that family not to worry and be able to take advantage of this.” She said softly and smiled a little.
-
Mason nodded once and offered a weak smile. "I understand..thank you, your highness." Before either of them could do much more her little brother came running over to them, demanding Elizabeth play with him in the garden.
-
She could only give him a small pity smile before Edward came over and demanded her to play with him. “Sorry, Mason. We’ll see each other later.” She apologized, lightly dipping her head and let herself be dragged away by Edward. “What do you want to play?” She asked softly, trying to get the conversation that she just had with Mason out of her head.
-
Edward was an exciteable kid, so when Elizabeth actually played with him in the garden it was enough to keep him happy for the rest of the day. By dinner Mason was getting ready to leave when he spotted her in the hall. He smiled softly and waved, before turning the corner and running right into Blake.
-
Elizabeth was walking back when she saw him. She smiled and waved back. She still had the origami bunny and she was about to return it to him. She followed after him only to find Blake there as well and quickly hid the small bunny figure
-
Not seeing Elizabeth there, Blake made a disgusted face and pushed Mason away pretty roughly, causing him to stumbled back a bit. "Step off!" Blake snapped, brushing himself off. "You're always showing up and in the way! Stau away from me, and Elizabeth."
-
Her eyes widened and she dropped the paper bunny and quickly hurried over. She grab Blake’s arm at him and glared. “Blake! Are you openly hitting on my servants especially in front of me?!” She demanded, raising her voice as she spoke. “I told you not to even interact with my servants and to use your own and now I catch you doing this to one of my servants.”
-
//Sorry I've been mia for a few days!
Blake scowled an looked at Elizabeth. "He ran into me! I wasn't hitting him, I was pushing him out of the way!" Mason had moved away, mumbling a small and feeble apology, not really to anyone in particular.
-
“No you weren’t. You were being rude. We are supposed to work for the best for our country and people, servants being apart of those people. If you treat all servants, especially my own, like this, I can’t trust you ruling this kingdom and feel sorry for your own.” Elizabeth snapped. “And you said, ‘stay away from me AND Elizabeth’, what does that mean?”
-
"He's been suspiciously close to you, lately. Everywhere you go, there he is! He needs to back off and go do some actual work!" Blake was getting angry, and Mason had just fallen silent behind Elizabeth.
-
“He’s a servant! He is supposed to be around so that when I need something, I can request it.” She responded with a glare. “He is working, unlike you who is yelling at me and him.”
