  • Elizabeth smiled as the boy got dragged off, giving him a small wave as he left. He was in good hands and she was glad to meet him. He seemed to be a good man. Speaking of a good man, there was none around to save her as her husband to be entered the hall but she had to be nice. She let out a sigh and turned around and greeted him with a smile she made herself give. “Hello, my Prince. I was just helping a new servant out.” She said with a small smile and took his arm. “Let’s go, darling.”

  • Blake was obviously suspicious as he led her down the hall and away from the servant's quarters. "I made sure they made your favorite," he said, being as suave and smooth as ever. He didn't really know what her favorite tea was, but he said that just to make her happy. And..to make himself feel good.

When Mason was changed he walked out to thank the princess, but when she wasn't there he just hung his head and went off to busy himself with chores. Coincidentally, they ended up putting him in the garden trimming the rose bushes. As he walked out with the trimmers he caught sight of Elizabeth with Blake and kept a close eye on them; many of the servants knew what the prince was really like and none of them really trusted him.

  • Elizabeth nodded and said, “Thank you.. I very much appreciate it.” She knew he probably didn’t know her favorite tea, but at least the servants knew. She had to keep this man happy for the sake of her people and her kingdom. “So, my prince, how are you doing this fine day?” She asked looking at him, trying to be as welcoming as possible.

  • Blake smiled and sat down at the table with her as he looked her over. "I'm doing much better now, I had a good talk with your parents about the wedding preparations. We'll have a ball to celebrate next week; the wedding will follow next month." He seemed very sure of himself; sitting with his head held high.

Mason watched from behind the bushes, gripping the trimmers tightly in his hands. He hated that prince...he just wanted to be closer to the princess, not even in a romantic way at first. He just wanted to know her better, to be able to talk without ridicule or punishment..

  • Elizabeth sat down across from him and nodded. “I was hoping to be there when you talked about the wedding preparations, but I can see I wasn’t needed.” She said with small sigh. “But I’m sure everything will be perfect without me trying to help.” The princess said, covering up her disappointment with another smile. She grabbed her tea gently and took a small sip. She didn’t even notice Mason was nearby but she knew it’d be more beneficial talking to him than Blake at this point.

  • "Everything will go according to plan, my love. Don't worry, the wedding will be absolutely perfect." Blake seemed very sure of himself, so he sat back and enjoyed the nice weather. Mason was too carried away watching them and he accidentally cut off one of the roses, which got him yelled at by another servant. He apologized quickly and picked the rose up, quickly hiding it in his pocket. He had an idea; it was risky but he was going to try it anyway. Not until Blake was gone.

  • “If you say so my prince.” Elizabeth said and looked over in curiosity to see who was getting yelled at. To her surprise it was Mason from earlier and she felt some relief at the sight of him. A familiar face is just what she needed to get her through her little picnic with Blake. Smiling, she looked over to Blake and asked, “I can’t wait for the ball, can you?”

  • Blake chuckled and sat back, shaking his head. "It's going to be grand, your parents are not holding anything back for this party." Mason glanced over at her and bit his lip before going to busy himself with something a little closer to them so he could hear what they were talking about. "What color do you want to wear, my love? Something that highlights my eyes."

  • She shook her head and said, "No, I was hoping to go with a light pink so your suit could easily match it. And since I'm the bride, I do think it would be an appropriate color to wear before the wedding, don't you think, my prince? Besides, at the ball no one will be looking at your eyes aside from myself." She said, giving a small smile

  • Blake thought that over for a moment and nodded, smiling. "That sounds quite good, yes. You're so smart, my love." He finished his tea and stood, stretching a bit. "I have to go until dinner, I have some riding lessons to get to." He kissed the top of her head, then smiled and left without another word. When he was far enough away Mason made his way over to clean up the dirty dishes, leaving the rose beside her cup.

  • She gave a nod as he left, noting that he didn't even say he loved her as he left. Leaning back, she sighed before noticing Mason coming over to clean up the dishes. To her surprise, he left her a rose. She smiled genuinely and picked the rose up. "Thank you Mason. I really appreciate it." She said quietly, not trying to get him in trouble.

  • Mason couldn't do much in response, he just nodded and bowed his head as he picked up the tray. "My pleasure, your highness," he said softly and stood up taller. He gave her a small, kind and gentle smile before he turned and walked inside, feeling a bit better now. Somehow, she always seemed to lift his mood even without talking directly to him.

As he walked down the hall he noticed Blake, holding the hand of another person as they rounded the corner. Curious, he followed quietly and watched in shock as Blake was being very friendly with one of the noble ladies of the castle. Quickly he turned and hurried down the other hall, making his way to the kitchen to discard of the dishes so he could tell someone, anyone of what he had just seen.

  • She smiled and lightly held the flower, being gentle as to not hurt or damage it. The rose was beautiful and was probably the one she overheard him getting in trouble for. Smiling and standing up, attaching the rose to the waist line of her dress so no one would notice it to much, she headed inside to go to her room to drop the flower off in one of the vases so it could last.

  • Mason hurried from the kitchen and looked around the halls for anyone to tell what had just happened. Thankfully, he ran into the princess just outside her door. "Your highness, i-i have something important to tell you! It's about Prince Blake, it's urgent!"

  • “Mason, we keep bumping into each other.” She mused, stopping as he approached her. She raised an eyebrow as he seemed overly excited about something. “Prince Blake...? What is it, is he hurt?” She asked growing concerned as he called the matter urgent. The last thing she needed was the prince getting himself injured on her kingdoms watch.

  • "No, he's fine-" he had to spill it before someone caught him, but he was so anxious. "I-I saw him in the hall, with-"

"My love!" Blake called from behind Mason. "My lessons were canceled, so my afternoon is free to spend with you." He noticed Mason and gave him a nasty look. "Might i ask what he is doing here?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

  • She looked at him curiously as he spoke but was cut off as Blake entered the hallway. “My prince, I was just heading to my room and this fellow happened to be walking by. I was just asking him to fetch my advisor to see how my schedule today was.” She covered looking at Blake before sparing Mason a reassuring glance. “But since you’re here, I need to make time for my prince. Can you please tell my advisor to clear or reschedule any meetings I had this afternoon?” She requested, trying to give him a reason to be seen with her.

  • Mason caught on quickly and hesitated before he nodded and bowed at her request. "Of course, your highness. Right away." He took no time in speeding away to find the advisor. After telling him what the princess had said he went off to do more chores, but finally got sone down time to sit off in the garden to rest a bit. He needed to tell her what he had seen, he had to figure out a way to get her alone.

Blake brought Elizabeth around the castle, talking mostly of himself but he threw in some compliments to her as well. While they were making their way to the throne room the guards called Blake to leave with them for important matters, and the princess was needed in the garden. Blake kissed her goodbye, promised he'd be back and left with the guards easily.

  • Elizabeth listened to him attentively, or as best as she could, as Blake droned on about himself. She was happy to catch a few compliments here and there, knowing that’s the best she’d get in a conversation with him. When he was dragged away, she gave him a small kiss on the cheek and headed to the garden to see what she was requested for.

  • Mason honestly didn't think she'd show up; when he saw her walking his way he stood quickly and bowed his head. "Your highness- I hope this doesn't trouble you too much, I-I just need to talk with you in private, if it's alright with you-" he was clearly anxious, but excited to talk to her.
