The molly looked over, shocked to see the bird Toadkit was dragging. "Er, Hyacinthpaw, why don't you go check on the elders and see if they need anything." Otterpelt suggested, she needed to have a word with Toadkit. Birds didn't often go near the camp, they were smart enough to know the danger. Her eyes narrowed slightly, "Toadkit.. Where did you get that?" she asked, a stern edge to her voice.

    DEWPAW

pineclan - apprentice - male - 8 moons - tags: Insanityflame   Blitz Krieg

The weight of the other apprentice on his back almost knocked him off balance, he couldn't wriggle his way out of this one. It was too late for him to counter, Primrosepaw had already hit his mark. They want me to lose, I should probably just give up... The to thought to himself, internally panicking. He had known this was going to happen. Instead, Dewpaw used all his strength to throw himself upwards and sideways. Not a typical fighting move by any means, and it came off a bit awkward, but it should be enough to get the other apprentice off of him. Or, send them both toppling to the ground.

"I caught it just outside of camp. I wanted to show the clan that I can be useful. Timberpaw told me that I would always be picked on or ignored and it was stupid to think I would be accepted if I became a great warrior. I had to prove her wrong." He sat there wondering why Otterpelt didn't seem pleased with his catch. "I followed the warrior code and brought the prey back for the clan." He said suddenly wondering if he would be in trouble.

  • Duskpaw nodded proudly, "Yep!" as he continued to walk on, a bounce in his steps. He thought for a bit before suddenly mewing, "How do you think the border patrol is doing?" His voice went quiet as he began to think again. He hoped his brother was doing alright. Duskpaw says this a lot, but he just hated being separated. His tail lashed with sudden anxiety and he wondered when they would be at the spot where the hunting patrol first parted, and he also wondered when the border patrol would be returning.

"i imagine it's going well," she purred. "otterpelt put a lot of fully capable cats on it, and i think o even heard duskystar say he was going to accompany them."

freckledfawn watched duskpaw with a sort of fondness only a mentor could have for such a sweet apprentice. she knew that no matyer what happened, she would always be proud of duskpaw's enthusiasm and sincerity.

Stooding up she looked once again for her mentor, feeling little bit sad about her as the teputy didn't seem to have a peace at all, all the time someone was being circling her. Tail lashing she walked toward the elders den seeing if they was there or not "hello there...is anyone yet gived you soemthing to eat or do you need something?" she called out looking around the four oldest cats.

  • OTTERPELT

    pineclan - deputy - female - 28 moons - tags: BlazeTail

Otterpelt felt a twinge of guilt, watching her apprentice walk away. She’d been busy all morning between the patrols, Foxpaw, and now Toadkit. She again promised herself she’d take Hyacinthpaw out later. “Toadkit you know you’re not allowed outside of camp, especially not by yourself.” The deputy scolded, “I know you feel like you have to prove everyone wrong, but breaking the rules and putting yourself in danger isn’t the way to do it.” She sighed, closing her eyes for a moment. She cared a lot for Toadkit, but he just wasn’t mature enough to understand how to properly cope with his struggles yet. Otterpelt knew how hard it was being in that position, having to prove yourself. So she did have sympathy for Toadkit, but this was unacceptable. “Toadkit, I understand you were mad at Timberpaw, but that doesn’t excuse you leaving the camp. Now go back to the nursery, I’ll have to tell Duskystar what happened.” She wasn’t really going to waste Duskystar’s time with this incident, but Toadkit didn’t know that. She was much more worried about the rouges, but the kits actions couldn’t go unpunished.

    DEWPAW

pineclan - apprentice - male - 8 moons - tags: Insanityflame   Blitz Krieg  tagshere

Dewpaw, in what was possibly a moment of luck, saw his opening. In a moment of uncertienty between the both of them, he had managed to get the other tom off balanced. This allowed Dewpaw, who had been playing defense, to finally play the offensive role. He used all his strength to ram into the other cat using shoulder. Effectively pushing him over, allowing Dewpaw to aim a fight finishing blow.

(Okay xD sorry, just didn’t want to power play too much. Let me know if this isn’t what you meant)

  • ghosty-

Toadkit's eyes grew wide as he listened to Otterpelt. He couldn't believe he was in trouble for feeding the clan. "Fine then. I thought you were different but your just like all the other cats. No one wants me here not even you." He started it as a growl but by the end of it he was whimpering with pain glistening deep in his eyes. He turned and slowly padded towards the nursery with his tail dragging in the dirt. He just wanted to be a cat the clan liked he couldn't understand why everyone didn't like him. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't born in the clan like everyone else. It was times like these where he thought that if he ever ran into his mother he would want nothing to do with her. He wished she were dead not that he would ever tell anyone that.

OOC-Sorry I know he is being a pain but I feel that this is how he would be in this situation.

  • Duskpaw nodded in understanding. "Even if Duskystar is with them, I bet Dewpaw is the best one in that group!" He fluffed his fur out the best that he could, considering how very short his pelt was. The apprentice continued to pad back to their original destination where the patrol had parted, curiosity flooding his mind. "I wonder how the other cats did with hunting...When will we be back?" He sounded like a silly, impatient kit who couldn't handle even walking a few steps.

  • Rosekit || Interaction: Lilykit tadbug

Rosekit smiled, friendliness would probably be best if it was her sister's friend. ¨Well lets go then! There's some really good moss near the elders den!¨ She meowed, confidently, knowing she was right. She padded off towards the elders den and sniffed for the same spot she was at yesterday, and on a really large rock, the same moss she saw! A bit dryer but it was the same one! ¨Found it!¨ She mewed excitedly, clawing it off with her little claws, not bothering to ask for help, though she clearly needed it

Dapplekit || Interaction: Rosekit and Lilykit tadbug

Dapplekit smiled and followed after her sister, following her pawsteps, glad that she was being less hostile to Lilykit, which was a relief. Rosekit wasn't always the friendliness, but this was a start to friendship. She noticed her sister needed help getting the moss down and she rushed over to help but Rosekit scowled, clearly not wanting help.

Shallowkit || Interaction: Rosekit, Dapplekit, and Lilykit tadbug & Wolfkt and Stormkit shyeep & Blitz Krieg

Shallowkit looked up from the hole he burried himself in near the elders den, hiding from Wolfkit and Stormkit if she was found. The gray tom heard Wolfkit's ¨Ten!¨ and saw him scampering off towards the leaders den. Uh-oh. Not a good place to hide. Shallowkit looked up again and saw his littermates and a new kit, Lilykit. They could help bury him! ¨Pssstt! Guys! Can you guys throw some dirt on me? I'm hiding from Wolfkit!¨ He looked at Lilykit, he must be able to hear Shallowkit

Leafstorm || Queen || Interaction: Toadkit BlazeTail

Leafstorm opened her eyes, finally her kits were out the nursery so she took the opportunity to sleep and take a quick nap. She heard tiny pawsteps entering the den and looked up and saw Toadkit, his tail and head drooping, clearly sad. Something must have happened. Raising her head, the black and white queen yawned and meowed, beckoning the kit with her paw ¨Hey Toadkit, is everything ok? You look sad¨ She meowed with compassion strong in her voice

  • ~Fennec~

Toadkit looked up at the queen surprised out of his slump for a second. "Otterpelt got mad at me. She told me I shouldn't have gone out of camp to hunt for the clan even though I brought back a blackbird that I caught." Toadkit replied his voice still heavy with emotion. He padded over to his empty nest and curled up. "No one wants me here just because I'm not clanborn. I was just trying to prove to Timberpaw that I can be a good warrior after she told me I wouldn't ever be accepted into the clan." He rested his head on his paws and stared at the entrance to the nursery not saying another word.

  • Leafstorm || Queen || Location: Nursery || Interaction: Toadkit BlazeTail

Leafstorm looked at the kit, with a look almost pitiful, ¨Toadkit, baby, you are an intelligent cat, who listens very well. You knew you were't supposed to go outside, even though you did really well bringing back the bird for everyone to eat¨ The queen got up from her nest and walked over to Toadkit, laying beside him and placing his tail alongside his flank, to comfort him. ¨Remember, Toadkit, you're not a warrior yet, you haven't had training like apprentices and I don't doubt you're hunting skills but I bet Otterpelt was just worried about you.¨ She gave a few licks on his head, like how a mother would to her kits, and kept talking gently to the young cat, ¨And as for you not being clanborn, it should not matter where you were born and even though some clan cats do not like you, doesn't mean you are unwanted. I love you being here Toadkit, you keep me and my kits company and have as much energy as three cats. Don't stress not being born here, just worry about how you will grow stronger."She concluded, purring a bit at her little speech, hoping it would make the young tom feel better, and making a mental note to talk to Timberpaw later that day about Toadkit

  • Toadkit listened to her speak and started to pull away at first as she laid beside him but then nuzzled closer comforted by the closeness of the queen who had always been nice to him. He decided that from that day forward he wouldn't care who thought what about him and he would just be the warrior he could be. He began to purr as he fell asleep next to the queen wondering if this is what it felt like to have a mother who cared for you.

  • Lilykit followed the two kits, not too enthusiastic to begin the game. He parted from the group, however, when he heard the voice of another kit. Lilykit padded over to Shallowkit and unsheathed his claws, beginning to shovel out clumps of dirt in small amounts, covering the younger kit. "Why are you hiding from my brother?" the kit questioned, curiosity mixed in with a tint of mischief. He fell silent, continuing to cover the kit with dirt. "You playing a game?"

    ~Fennec~

  • Blindpaw reached the leader, listening to the two younger apprentices brawl. It had taken her moons to learn the moves, having to customize all of them for her lack of eyes. The fact that they were struggle with sight made her want to laugh. Yet she followed the scent of her leader, Duskystar, and settled by his side, remaining silent as she figured he was focussed on the battle, which seemed to have escalated now.

  • stormkit ☁

    kit, wolfkit & shallowkit

Stormkit wondered if Wolfkit was already searching for them, she couldn't really hear very well in the den. She wondered what to do while waiting, it was taking him a loooooooooooong time to find her, she couldn't really understand why, but her patience was killing her. She stealthily made her way to the den's entrance, hoping to see what was going on, keeping herself as quiet as a mouse.

  • duskystar—

the tom was briefly distracted from the apprentices' battle–which was starting to get rather heated–by the blind apprentice who sat beside him. "hello, blindpaw. do you have an idea of what's happening in their fight?" duskystar never ceased to be impressed with the apprentice's uncanny skill at observation despite her lack of sight. in fact, so impressed was he that he had been long since debating on when would be the best time for her warrior ceremony. he knew it should be soon, but he still needed to discuss it with her mentor.

    freckledfawn—

"i'm sure dewpaw is doing fantastic," the tabby purred. "and we're getting close.a little further and we're bound to run into someone. if not, we can meet them at the camp." freckledfawn continued padding, and they were nearing the spot where the group originally split. she decided to wait in the area for a little while, just to see if anyone else was done with their hunting.

    foxpaw—

the apprentice woke from his sleep and rolled over to his side, trying to stretch out his stiff limbs only to be caught in a blinding bout of pain. "my shoulder hurts," he mewed, trying to keep tears at bay. "everything hurts."

the ginger tom tried to control the tears building at the corners of his eyes, but ultimately failed as the pain overtook him. he wouldn't outwardly admit it, but he knew it was a serious mistake of his to disobey otterpelt and to try and square up to the rogues–even if the one was half his size. still, he couldn't help who he was. he always felt the need to validate himself, and it often came out rude and conceeded, and sometimes in fits of violence. he couldn't let himself show weakness, and he always had to prove himself–usually in the method of lying, stretching the truth, or concealing it.

  • Wolfkit

The tom continued to circle his leader's den, beginning to feel baffled when he could not pick up his sister's scent trail around it. But it led right to the den... He thought in confusion, not even considering the idea that she could be inside. After all, who would be foolish enough to enter Duskystar's own den? Shaking his head, his attention was pulled away when he saw his brother with Rosekit and Dapplekit. Tipping his head to the side, he watched in befuddlement as Lilykit seemed to be digging a hole? Or burying something? Momentarily distracted from his game, Wolfkit bounded from the leader's den towards his littermate's spot, yowling, "Hey Lilykit! Have you seen Stormkit? Or Shallowkit?" Skidding to a stop beside the tom, he quickly realized what he was burying. For Starclan's sake, it was Shallowkit! Eyes growing wide and a grin plastering itself on his face, the kit leaped into the air and booped the other tom on the nose with his paw. "Found you!"

  • Blindpaw dropped her jaw, scenting to confirm the cats, before nodding in response. "Yes, of course. Primrosepaw just hesitated and Dewpaw darted out from under him by the sounds of it. Dewpaw just smacked him too" The white she-cat chuckled. "If they're battle lastest long as they're breathing tells me they should try it blind." She joked.

  • OOC- I'm so sorry for my late replies. Life's been hella full and I haven't had the time to get on for more than 5 seconds at a time ^^"

The young warrior purred at the sight of Freckledfawn and Duskpaw as they neared the original spot. She padded up to greet them, letting her amber gaze rest on the young apprentice as she praised, "That's quite the kill you made!" She then swept her gaze across the patrol, noting the prey they had collected: a shrew, two mice, a pigeon, and a vole. Mossleaf couldn't resist the pride that resonated throughout her chest. She looked back at her patrol and meowed, "This should be good. I say we head back to camp before the elders start to get grumpy." Her tone was joking towards the end, of course. The tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat could only respect the older cats.

Picking up her kills, Mossleaf began to weave through the dense pines as she began to lead the way back home.

    Thistlefrost

[30 moons] warrior [tomcat] interacting: vanillabreeze Insanityflame , foxpaw anx

Thistlefrost said nothing as the remainder of the patrol arrived and the lot began their journey home. He could only think of what else he had to do that day, chuffing irritably as he repeatedly blew feathers out of his nose. The walk home was far from a relaxing one, especially as the grey-and-white tabby warrior became more and more aware of the day wearing on. When they finally arrived to camp, Thistlefrost wasted no time in striding to the fresh-kill pile to deposit his pigeon, before swerving to drop by the apprentice's den. Sticking his head in, the muscular warrior was surprised to find his apprentice away. Inquisitively, he scanned his golden gaze across camp, wondering where he could have gone. He wandered forward somewhat, glancing about in utter confusion, before the faint stretch of blood struck his nose. Alarm immediately kicked in the tomcat, making the hairs on his hackles rise and bristle warily. His head snapped towards the medicine den, where it seemed to be emitting from. Quickly, Thistlefrost slipped towards the den, stepping in without any warning or alert, only to hiss in surprise at the sight of Foxpaw curled up and covered in treated wounds. "Great StarClan," he breathed, hurrying over. He settled by his apprentice's head, hunched over and rather intrusive as he surveyed the young tom's injuries. His concern escalated quickly into upset as he demanded, "What happened to you?"

    Bramblepaw

[11 moons] apprentice [tomcat] interacting: spiderfrost Insanityflame

Bramblepaw chuckled in amusement. "Only a little," he mused. He paused as they came upon the field, his form unfurled and revealing the robust physique he had grown into. The dark brown tabby tom pondered for a moment, before looking back at Spiderfrost. "We've definitely covered everything, but do you think we could review how to get out of deadly moves? Just in case things go south in a battle when I am a warrior." Bramblepaw didn't think much of the future in the case of having to use the battle moves he learned as an apprentice, though the young tom feared he would freeze up and fail to defend himself when the time came for it. If there were any way he could avoid lethal interactions, he would want to do so- yet desperate times called for desperate measures. If he was pinned down, the apprentice wanted to know how to get out of it, how to defend himself, how to make it back home alive to fight for his Clan another day.
