OLIVIA ✦ ✧ ✦ — "Vic," Olivia began quietly, glancing to her sister who quietly fed from the body of a domestic feline. "Do you think The Thunderlands will really accept us? Honestly?" As she spoke her lips pushed together into an tight-lipped frown, eyes casted downward. It was too early to say that she felt unwelcomed or disliked, but all the same she wasn't stupid. "I mean, you know," she added, "you're a vampire, we're conjoined twins. Would it be better if we went back to being alone?" Unlike her sister who seemed so confident and ready for clan life Ollie couldn't find herself melding well with it all. She wasn't the type to socialize, she liked having her sister and only her sister to speak with. It wasn't like she had even wanted to come. The only reason she had agreed to be taken in by Regis, who she hadn't even spoken with since then, was because her sister had been so elated by the idea. The feeling of worry had only worsened as time went on. Most were nice about the conjoined twin thing, others weren't, some were okay with Victoria's vampirism, other's couldn't get past it. That was all well and good or whatever. Ollie was okay with people have their opinions and believes, but how long until it started to hurt Victoria? Maybe she was babying Viccy too much, it scared her though.
Well... I think if we're gonna end up being alone then that's how it's gonna be, but I don't think we should just give up so early in the game, right? Victoria responded, lips smeared with blood. Regis is a vampire too, so it isn't like we're gonna get beat up for it, and only jerks would make fun of us for being twins.
Glancing to the dead feline her stomach dropped, gaze turning aware quickly. Even she couldn't handle looking directly at her sister eating. In fact, it made her feel uneasy. Victoria never killed the things she fed on, whether it be dog or cat or fox or whatever, but it was still so unnerving. Despite feeding on already dead bodies they had found or those willing to offer blood Ollie despised the act. How could a stranger be okay with Victoria's diet when her own sister could barely handle it? "Yeah I guess so. I'm just a worry-wart," she said, closing her eyes as she exhaled. Listening to the sounds of her sister finishing her meal made her antsy, like any moment someone would pop out and scream. It'd just be the cherry on top for some cat to come across another cat being eaten by a freak and her freak sister.
Alright, my meal's done and I've decided! Victoria announced as she delicately placed the dried up body to the side, careful to place the body in a respectful manner. We bury the body, and then we can set up a picnic for everyone. That's sure to get people's juices flowing! Or, well, you know what I mean.
Olivia laughed. Oh God, what an idea. Couldn't they just stay at the edge of the territory and appreciate the clouds? Now that Viccy had stopped eating they could go explore nature, find a field of flowers and relax. Anything other than that! "Yeah, that sounds fun actually," she said. It may have been the opposite of what she wanted, but her sister was excited so there was no way she could just say no.
VICTORIA ✦ ✧ ✦ — Having buried the body she had fed off of Victoria had dragged her sister to camp to gather supplies. The actual picnic would be held in a more aesthetic place since it wasn't like they'd just find a blanket and snacks in the middle of a field, or she hoped they wouldn't. So, in two separate trips to and from camp the sisters had brought three blankets, a tub of snacks and drinks, and two big plastic balls to play around with to the designated picnic spot. It had taken quite a bit of work, but Viccy had been expecting to haul a projector for movies over, though that idea had been immediately shot down by Olivia. Overall she was okay with it. Still, the idea of watching movies into the wee hours of the night with friends sounded like a real treat. At least she had convinced her sister to bring the set-up to a lovely field of wild flowers rather than within camp, which was what Ollie had suggested. Ollie loved things like flower fields and starry nights and silk scarves, but she had pointed out that more people would show up if they set up by camp, plus it meant less work. Which, with it already being a little later in the afternoon plus them having already travelled to the edge of camp, and then also Ollie's poor immune system and the extra effort the sster's had to... Okay, so her sister was probably right about setting up close to camp, but if Victoria was about anything she was about having the best time, and she couldn't get the idea of the group frolicking and having fun in a field of beautiful flowers all because of her out of her head.
"Okey-freaking-dokey it's freakin' perfect," Victoria said, smiling at her hard work like the pile of blankets, food, and toys was her sweet son who had just became the smartest person on earth. Basically, she was proud. "Now no one could possibly hate us, and if they do the community will strike them down with the power of love for us!" She said just a bit too loudly, ignoring the look of embarrassment and exhaustion from Olivia. It had taken an hour, two trips carrying heavy things, and thirty minute of poster-making that had ended up being tossed after Victoria had decided that was the final straw of hard-work, but it was done. Finally her sister would see there was nothing to worry about and all would go well, and if it didn't Viccy would just do something else to win the favor of her peers. She'd have her movie night yet!
