OLIVIA ✦ ✧ ✦ — "Tori I don't want to..." Olivia whispered in a quiet, unsure tone, her voice raspy from a sore throat. She wasn't used to being around others, in fact the clans in general were outside of her comfort zone. Unlike her sister, who was a sociable butterfly, Ollie was more so a bookworm, the type to sit in the shade and let the other kids play. This was only heightened by how unfamiliar she was with living a clan which she had only just begun to do a couple days ago at most. Regis, or perhaps she ought to have called him father or something, had brought her and Victoria to The Thunderlands after finding them living alone, well, alone together. Before they had been found her and her sister had been reliant solely on each other, they had only spoken to one another, simply because there was no one else around. Now there was tens, maybe even hundreds, of other folk who they had to interact with, Olivia just couldn't find herself comfortable with it all. How could she? Sighing, the timid twin glanced to her sister who was smiling out to the crowd, looking like she was just about ready to pop with excitement. She supposed that was her reward for going and doing something she didn't care for, she got to see her sister's smile. "But okay I guess," this was said with a small, unconvincing smile, brow furrowing slightly.
The twins had been sitting to the side of camp, watching rather than participating, looking nervous. Olivia had already noticed them getting odd stares. That wasn't surprising though, considering. Olivia and Victoria weren't just any twins, oh no, they were conjoined. Some would say they were like a two headed person, but she preferred not to be called such, not that she couldn't admit it was true. They were simply doubled, double spines, double hearts, double brains. They're shoulders and chest were wider than most, with two tails and two normal heads. Olivia controlled the left half, and her sister controlled the right. Together they made an inseparable duo that most would find odd if not downright disturbing. Olivia didn't care about that though, she instead worried if Victoria would notice. Even when they had lived alone Ollie knew they were strange, but Victoria had never seemed to notice, and with her being innately protective she worried how her sister would react if she found out that they truly were an odd pair. Still, it was better to be proud than just pout in a room. right? Not entirely listening to her sister speak, though sensing the excitement from her sister Ollie let out a barely noticeable laugh under her breath. With the bond she had with her sister she could feel the surge of confidence, of happiness and curiosity and glowing exhilaration, chased by a bite of nervousness that only fed into Ollie's own fear.
In conjunction with her sister Olivia walked forward out of the shadow and into the cloudy sunlight, neck bent and gaze lowered, biting her inner cheek. She had to admit, she was scared. What if someone with no filter showed up? What if people were uncomfortably nice? What if nothing happened at all! No, it would be alright, she was strong and if anyone tried to do anything to Victoria, well, she wouldn't be able to do anything, but she could certainly kill them with a venomous glare.
VICTORIA ✦ ✧ ✦ — It was Victoria's time to shine! No matter what her sister said, or didn't say, it was time to go out and socialize. They had already spent enough time indoors while Olivia got used to clan life, used to the idea of living with other's. She had to take charge and get them out and about. Just getting her sister out of the house and into the corners of camp was hard enough, but she was determined to actually talk to someone her age, or someone younger, hell, someone a million years old would do. She just had to plunge into her new life. "C'mon sis!" She insisted, voice hinting at a whine, "we just gotta go out, just for a second. I wanna talk to people, please?" Tori I don't want to... but okay I guess. Her expression blossomed into a huge, bright smile. Yes, success! Sitting up she paused so that her sister could follow suit, ignoring the unsure expression her sister bore despite trying to hide it. She knew her sister had her worries, but it was good and healthy to socialize, she had read that in a book she found. Sunshine helped with depression and a whole bunch of other stuff. So really she was just being healthy, right?
Dragging her sister along Victoria, tail swinging delightfully side to side. She looked sweet, like a perfect little doll, well, she would have if not for her situation, but she didn't really consider her large chest and shoulders something ugly. It was part of what made her special! And besides even with her oddness Victoria was quite beautiful, with gorgeous eyes and delicate features, this was only doubled when compared to her sister who was, unfortunately, on the plainer side of appearances. All in all, she felt great and looked great and now it was her job to make everyone know that. "I can't wait to make friends, it's gonna be so much fun," she whispered to herself as she knew her sister wasn't listening. "We could make a whole group of girl-friends and share things. I'm so excited!"
Except, well, who did she talk to?
