  • "Well you know, now that Thor's brought that up, I think we should probably disperse into our groups and find the lieutenant," Crilland said, he hadn't exactly thought of the fact that she might have been caught by the unknown assailant. "I've never really kept tabs on her, any idea as to where we should start looking for her?" he asked as he started putting his gloves back on.

  • Silas Duke - Asylum - 56 - Male - Inkeeper

Silas laughed, continuing his walk into the Inn. It wasn't anything grand, just a nice little hotel with plenty of rooms. "Know her? I was one of her crack units! With my rifle, I could hit a tin can at 700 yards." He looked back at Xavier, beckoning to follow him, to the back room. "Anyways, the name's Silas Duke, I run Inn Asylum." His wrinkled face turned upwards in a smile as he continued, "Some people may call it the Insane Asylum. I will tell you that name is incorrect and is never to be used while you're working." His knowing smile told a different story however, that he knew full well the origin of the name.

(So, 'Insane Asylum' is the nickname of Silas Duke, and he runs the Inn Asylum, commonly known as the Insane Asylum...)

(Insane Asylum Silas runs the Inn Asylum in the center of Central City. try saying THAT ten times fast. XD)

  • Silas Duke... he recognizes that name. Alis had mentioned him on multiple occasions. "Oh, Alis used to talk about you a lot," Xavier says with a grin. "She complained about you too, but I don't think she meant any of it. And don't worry, I won't use that name. I'm not sure if it's fitting, but my opinion might change."

Agni's smile morphed into a tight, somewhat paniced smile. "Shes, uh.. ive never seen her outside of HQ." She offered, standing up. "Ill go see if shes there." She muttered, grabing her cup and heading off. For some reason she felt responsible...

  • Senior Master Sergeant Finnegan Thorson - Sgt Thor - 31 - Male - Deployment SNCO

"I'll go with you Major," Thorson said, standing up and following the alchemist. As they walked to HQ, he thought about the squad. 7 people in one unit, designated to be in pairs at all times. It was quite obvious to him who the pairs would be. Crilland and Reese would work together quite well, despite their contradictions. Hoffman would most likely end up working with Miller here, considering how well they got along. And that left Himself, the Colonel, and the Lieutenant. While he doubted the efficiency of such a team, The Colonel would certainly keep Moroi in check. Add the fact that Fuhrer Mustang had mentored both student and daughter, The sergeant was sure they would make it work. Which meant that he was more 'freelance', able to move around and be the backup. Especially since he was the only one who wasn't an alchemist, he was the least at risk of being attacked.

    Silas Duke - Asylum - 56 - Male - Innkeeper

"Heh. Prob'ly said I couldn't hit a beetle for what is worth, eh?" Silas cracked a smile, hearing his old commander's voice in his head clearly. "Anyways, I do have some use for an alchemist. You practitioners ain't exactly common, and the ones that do stay here ain't too keen on helpin' me. Damn dogs of the state." The old man sighed, grabbing something off the wall. "I'll give you room 109. Just down the hall to her left. Gotta idea of how long you be stayin' here in Central?"

  • Xavier hadn't actually told Silas that he's an alchemist, but he supposes it's pretty obvious, given his own history. It isn't much of a leap to make. "I'm... I'm not that great an alchemist," he says, laughing sheepishly, looking away and scratching at his cheek with a finger. "But let me know if there's anything you think I can help with." He peers into the room Silas has offered. "Thank you, Mr. Duke. Honestly, I have no idea how long I'll be here, but it'll be a week or two at the very least."

Reese shifted in his seat as Thorson spoke. The man had some really good points and he felt sort of guilty that he hadn't thought about Moroi being in trouble. Despite his carefree attitude, he didn't want an of his co-workers getting hurt, even little Agni. He watched as the white haired girl got up from the table followed by Thor and then turned to Crilland. "I guess that leaves us. Any clue where she might be?" He didn't know Moroi well enough to guess where she could be and hoped that Crilland had some sort of a clue.

"Oh, you don't have to call me major, Sarge." Agni smiled, a bit faltered by the title. "I'd actually prefer if you didn't."

Major. It still felt to big for her, and way to formal. Besides, she wanted to be friends with these alchemists-something she suspected would change once this group-mission-thing started. And by that, she meant they would all be friends! Or at least, get along better. Please no more staple incidences She thought, already knowing there would be more. Actually...She glanced at Sarge, he was a smart dude. He would team up the groups to where they're wouldn't be any fighting, right?

"Hey Sarge, " She began, clearing her throat, "You're a smart guy, you're spiting up the group, right? Might I ask how?"

  • "I roughly know where her house is, we could start there and work our way over to Central from there," Crilland said as he thought about it for a moment. "We'll stop by every shop along the way, we need to be thorough with this," he concluded as he started walking toward the door, "If all else fails, maybe someone around the area has seen her."

  • Senior Master Sergeant Finnegan Thorson - Sgt Thor - 31 - Male - Deployment SNCO

"Oh alright then, Miss Miller." He preferred the use of titles over names, mostly he guessed due to his past, and how cold his father had been. 'Colonel' and 'Sir' were the only things he was allowed to call the man. At least, in his presence. He had been so lost in thought he almost didn't hear the alchemist ask him a question. "Hmm? Oh, I'm not in charge of that. That's... really more of a question for the Fuhrer or his daughter. But if you're asking me personally how would I split us up?" They were approaching HQ, but now Thor's musings were spoken aloud. It felt good to speak his mind, if he were honest with himself. "Well, there's seven of us, right? All alchemists. Or, ehm, related to one. Anyways, Colonel Mustang wanted us in pairs with a group of three, so that would obviously mean 3 'squads'. I suppose... you and Major Hoffman seem to get along well, unlike Lieutenant Moroi. Besides, I've read up on your abilities. Your style of alchemy is most notably short range, albeit very damaging to one person. But Major Hoffman's water-based alchemy has a much longer range, and much more utility, despite the lack of... damage potential. Even your abilities would complement each other well. The second group, I would pit Major Link and Crilland. While some might say you and Reese would work together due to your... interesting alchemics, I would argue that Reese's abilities are not all that different from yours, and the weaknesses would be capitalized. But again, Major Kallkuliam's Earth-based alchemy, the Heavy Hand, has more utility and widespread damage potential. Plus, they get along well, with Crilland playing the leash to Reese's temper." He numbered the other alchemists off on his hands, leaving two fingers up. "Lastly, Colonel Mustang and Lieutenant Moroi." He shrugged. "They're probably the only team that worries me, as they have a similar personality, one that tends to be very... individual. The Colonel is sure to keep Romana in check, both to her position and her heritage, although they might butt heads. But their alchemy, while similar due to having the same teacher, is vastly different. Colonel Mustang is a prodigy of her father's, a true master of the flame alchemy. She's probably as dangerous as the Fuhrer is, if not moreso. But Moroi's skills are a bit more widespread, due to her talent at earth alchemy as well as flame. IF she learns respect and humility, she could be a great alchemist, harnessing both the defense and utility of Earth, and the offense and destructive potential of Flame alchemy. I would dare say she could be greater than The Elric brothers themselves."

    Silas Duke - Asylum - 56 - Male - Inkeeper

Silas turned to look at Xavier, smiling gently. "I say, I don' take quickly to many people." He took a deep breath in, then let it out with a rasp, turning his gaze to the main desk. "The rest of the day is yers. Settle in, enjoy the sights, whatever. Jus' report to me at 0900 tomorrow, I'll get you set up with a couple'a jobs that need doing. Welcome to Central City, Xavier."

  • Well, so far all the alchemists met up at a coffee shop, were told that they were in a team and they were to stay in groups of 2-3 people, and now they are looking for one of the people that weren't at work, nor at the briefing, a group is currently heading to Central, and the other group is doing something (still at the coffee shop, but about to leave).

  • there's been several murders/disappearances as well, one of which was committed by my character : D

so a few places you can jump in: middle of the street not too far from the cafe, with my character lynx

    the cafe with the alchemists

the inn where most travelers and some alchemists stay at with silas and xavier

  • Sayah ran as fast as she could to the coffee shop that the messenger had told her about. Oh please, tell me I didn't miss the meeting, she thought as she rounded the corner onto another street. She could see it just up ahead, but to her dismay, she could see several of her fellow Alchemists leaving the shop. Sayah ran over to Crilland and Reese and saluted the two of them. "Please forgive my tardiness. I have no excuse," she said breathlessly.

  • "Eh, don't worry about it, the meeting hasn't really happened yet, we realized we were a little short on people. Reese are on our way to Miss Moroi's house to see if she's there, and because of what's going on, you're going to be coming with us," Crilland said when Saya had finished talking, giving her the 'at ease' motion with his hand.

  • Thievery the Larson

Thievery leaned against the side of the building, surveying passing traffic and jingling purses. Her eyes wandered from purse to purse, physically having to dig her nails into her hand to keep from swiping them out in the open. "They're just asking to get their things stolen." She grumbled, slipping into the alley next to her to keep from her painful habits. If she grabbed a purse she could possibly get arrested....again...,and she didn't want to deal with the pain of the military anymore.

After adjusting her bandanna around her neck to hide her tattoo, she took out a small dagger to play with an keep her mind occupied. She hadn't talked to her siblings in months and she was ready for an assignment. Anything. Hell, she'd get arrested if it meant that she had some greater purpose again. Oh well. She'd just have to find her own trouble to get into for now. Maybe some poor fool would walk through the alley and she could make it seem simply like a mugging gone terribly wrong. Yeah, that sounded wondrous.

  • Xavier gives a casual mock salute as he enters the room Silas had given him. "Thank you, Mr. Duke!" he chirps, giving a short wave before shutting the door. He sets his bag on the ground, taking a quick look around the room; it's a pretty nice place. Once he's done poking around the place, he leaves, swiping the keys and heading out to go look around the city again.

    -

Honestly, going down alleyways is just looking for trouble. Especially unfamiliar ones. Unless, of course, you are the trouble. 'Cause then you don't need to go looking for it, since it's always around you.

Lynx hums an old show tune, purposefully going off key more than a few times as he slips down towards the alleyway. There's a young woman standing there, a bandanna around her neck. He passes by her, giving her a cheerful wave and putting a bounce in his step, privately wondering what she's doing here but figures it's none of his business.

Reese gave Sayah a welcoming smile and a small wink. He was feeling a bit better about this group now that a lady was involved. "We'll cut you some slack this time. Im sure you can make it up to us." He teased. Reese was the last person to talk about cutting anyone any slack as he was probably the laziest member of the military. Looking over at Crilland he gave a shrug and ran his fingers through his hair."I hope you know where we're going because I haven't got a clue where Moroi lives."

  • Thievery the Larson

Thievery's attention turned to the on comer as she heard his crude whistling. "Bless the stars." She muttered under her breath, surprised her needs were answered so fast. Quickly, she pocketed her knife as to not startle the man right off the bat before standing up from her relaxed position.

The homonculus rubbed her hands together in excitement a she approached behind him. Right before she ran into his back, in one fluid movement she moved herself in front of his person. "Hello sir." She hummed, rocking on her heels. With adept purple eyes, she scanned him for any possible pockets full of wallets. "What brings you to this little alley of Central?" She purred, moving her eyes to make contact with his.
