  • (I wasn't entirely sure on how to start but I tried)

Lyor finally sat up after a night's worth of restless 'sleeping'. The apocalypse plunged him into paranoia but he didn't want anyone to see he was scared. He walked out into the opening of camp (I assume we're all in a camp of sorts?) and held his head high, taking in the scents. Nothing pretty, he thought.

Zoey had been up quite early, feeling energised. The past few days have been somewhat fun yet chaotic. It had been an unfortunate turn of events but at least she felt she had a purpose now.

  • Selick was exhausted, but the Alpha knew he had to be alert around his pack, they were looking at him for direction the majority of the time. He huffed and stretched, walking out from the inside of an old van that he called his den. Crawling through the windshield, the shepherd sniffed the wind, nodding when he didn't smell any of the dead. "Zoey!" He barked, making sure to grab her attention. He had to let her know her wasn't doing too well today, the events of the last few days had made him a bit restless at night now. He ought to let Jaxx know as well, seeing as it was probably just as important. "Jaxx!" He barked once he saw the collie come out of his den.

Lily was quiet as she moved to the entrance of the camp. She had waited a few moments after seeing Lyor leave before making her own exit. The medic had smelt another dog last night as she finished up her studying. But where had it gone? Today, she was was going to be searching for any trace of the dog she might find.

Jaxx groaned, clearly not interested in the fact it was morning. He yawned, stretched, and padded out of his den, which was just a simple tent a human had left standing before their demise. "Oh Great Skies, I'm bloody exhausted..." The collie rolled his eyes after complaining briefly to himself. He had heard Selick bark for Zoey, and now he was calling for Jaxx as well. What on earth could be so damn important that I need to be summoned so early. I just woke up for skies' sake... He knew better than to complain aloud though, so he simply made his way over to Selick.

  • Zoey's ears immediately pricked up as she heard her name called. "Here, sir." She breathed as she bounded over the the old truck the alpha stood on. Holding her head and tail up, she looked up to the alpha. "What's the gist?"

  • As she heard other dogs stirring outside, Emma perked her ears up and slowly opened her hazel eyes. The Border Collie lifted her head from her paws before looking around her den for a moment. Her body slowly made its way onto all four paws before she stretched out her tight muscles. The blue Merle female wagged her tail slightly as she spotted a few of the other members going on with their day.

Every sound that echoed through the male’s floppy ears made him more aware of his surroundings. Roman has been on his own for a while now and he wanted to find somewhere safe to stay, but their weren’t very many dogs out there that trusted him. He was starting to think he was better off on his own until he was nearly attacked by another lone dog, but he seemed different. The Rhodesian Ridgeback perked his head up slightly as his stomach growled and the thought of food popped into his mind. The brute tried to push the thought away, but it wasn’t working.

ic // Malian arose from his slumber with a startled jolt, recognition of what the prior days held slamming familiar into his memories and he almost whined. His stomach growled lowly at the lack of meals he's ate and his eyes roamed the familiar scene of familiar dogs. He sat up, stretching his forelegs then his hindlegs, walking forward and nodding lowly to those who graced their sight on the skinny Dalmatian.

Aries was already up once the sun made it's way into the sky, and with a stifled yawn she went to greet the others with enthusiasm, to boost overall morale within the group. The Doberman approached Emma, standing tall above the Merle, and lay on her stomach as to not seem intimidating. With a small whine in greeting, she turned to look at Emma.

"How are you doing?" She asked with genuine curiosity.

  • Sophia yawned, slowly waking up, her small body was being kept warm by her closest friend, Atlas. She got up, leaving the large brute sleeping as she walked away. The female headed over towards the alpha, prepared to give her greetings. Sophie dipped her head in respect for the alpha a beta. "Good day you two, I hope this lovely morning is treating you well." A gust of wind swept her ears to one side. "The spirits sure seem restless." She said referring to mother nature and the world around them.

Atlas woke up in a sour mood. He observed that Sophie was no longer with him and sighed. She's always running off and acting weird. The brute thought to himself. He sighed again and got up, looking around slowly. Atlas preferred not to interact with others, and hoped they would leave him alone.

  • Before Selick could let the two in on his exhaustion, he noticed Sophie had shown up, wishing them a good day. "Thank you darling, good day to you as well." He said, always a charm. For an alpha, he really was a nice guy. He was preparing to move into the Elder rank, but wanted a family first. He needed to speak with the council about that after he talks to a med- oh, Sophie's a medic! "Sophie, dear, could I speak with you later? You aren't in any trouble, I just have a few medical questions." He smiled at her and then quickly turned to Jaxx and Zoey. "Alright, listen, my old bones are tired and I think I need a day off. Zoey, you're in charge, make me proud, and Jaxx, I need you to be her right paw today and don't worry about me." Selick had to be one of the easiest alpha's to ever lead a pack, so laid back, kind, and simply compassionate. "If you guys don't have any questions, I will be on my way. Sophie, come along so we can chat."

Lily was just trotting away, carrying her medium-sized fluffy body through the forest, following the scent of a male she had picked up on. Along the way, she had found a rabbit den and managed to catch a hare not too far from it. She carried it in her jaws, knowing their were others much hungrier than her back at camp. A large growl erupted behind her and she heard a twig snap. Her hair turned back quick enough for her to react and leap to the side, dodging a nasty rotting two-leg. She yelped loudly as she landed on her leg wrong, hearing a snap. She tumbled to her side and growled at the two-leg, in far too much pain to call for help. Her deep growls faded into soft whimpers as she laid in the leaves, as still as she possibly could as the two-leg limped slowly towards her...

Jaxx knew what Selick meant almost as soon as he asked Sophie to stay and chat with him. Selick wants to pass on his bloodline, and Jaxx agrees. The collie looked around, nodding at the Alpha's request. "Not a problem, sir. I will still be ready for your call if it comes." He was distracted today, on edge. The attack of the two-legs had taken his last mate while she was pregnant, and Jaxx had taken interest in another female, so he was trying to ensure she was safe. Who was it? He'd never say, but he guards her with his life from the side-line... which he fears he will stay.

SORRY I DIED!!! THE FLU KNOCKED ME OUT FOR A WHILE :'(

  • FERAL DOGS - SHIKOKU (M) / WHITE MUDI (F) FRANCE1 LAMB

France awoke from his personal little makeshift bed. It was simply grass and other vegetation grouped together in a nest like form. He woke in a cheerful mood, happily stretching as he rose from the ground. He shook off pieces of grass and dirt, and made his way to socialize. His mornings started off as that, happily and peacefully hobbling his way to the pack members.

"Good morning, did you all rather enjoy your sleep" he cooed in a bubbly tone.

    -

Lamb had been awake for quite some time, possibly a few hours. She had been watching the sunrise and watching her fellow pack members start to rise from the ground. She sighed, not in ill manner but a rather happy mood as she prepared for her day. Being a medic had its perks but the rest had her going over inventory and checking up on her "family". She was prepared to meet them all happily and with a brightened smile.

  • Welcome back! ;D))

Zoey was a little surprised at this sudden responsibility but she wasn't going to say no to the job. Jumping on the roof of the vehicle, she surveyed the area. "Right, we need scouts - first of all. We need to make sure there aren't any infected dogs or twolegs hanging around." She said to anyone who was listening. Atlas caught her eye. He didn't seem to be doing anything so she figured she'd give him a job. "Atlas, you're a scout. Check the outskirts of camp and make sure nothing dangerous is lying around. Take someone with you." Before giving him a chance to reply, she made off to pick one more dog to be a scout. "France, would you scout the area outside camp? Take someone with you." Zoey used a less demanding tone since France was a 'nice guy' and would probably not object.

  • Sophie nodded, and gave a gentle laugh at him getting older. "I know what you mean, I'm not the younger dog I was so many years ago." The smaller female smiled and sat down, waiting for him to be done. She was polite and didn't speak anymore, not wanting to interrupt anyone. Sophie dipped her head and looked at the grass, and small flowers that bloomed beneath her paws. Even the simple things in life caused a bright smile to takeover Sophie's expression. Her motto in life is; Why be upset, when there are so many things to smile about. The female repeated those words in her head as she looked around her at all the pack members.

Atlas rolled his eyes and dramatically fell over when he was given the command. "Can't I just go alone?" He stood back up and looked at Zoey. The large brute grunted as he looked around. "Whoever wants to go scout, come now! Because I'm leaving." The black brute started to walk into the forest, but he glanced behind him to see if anybody had volunteered.

  • The blue Merle Border Collie jumped slightly at the sound of another pack member’s voice. She looked to see who it was and she calmed herself back down before wagging her tail once more. Emma nodded her head to the Doberman with a small smile on her muzzle, “Morning Aries. I am doing as good as I can be. How about you? How are you today?” The smaller dog looked over to the other dogs for a moment before turning her attention back to the brown Doberman. The female glanced over at Zoey, who was giving out directions, to see if her name was mentioned to join a group or not. She probably wasn’t anyone’s first choice since she was on the smaller side.

The smell of food reached the male’s nose, but something else was lingering with it. It was almost like a rotting smell, but it was the opposite direction of the food. There was also another scent that caught Roman’s attention. Another dog. The short haired brown dog looked around until he caught the direction of the scent. It was followed by the rotting scent. His stomach growled in protest, but he followed his curious nose towards the strange dog. A little ways away he spotted the female dog with the rabbit followed by a twolegged. His hackles raised sharply as a growl developed in the back of his throat. What would he do? it looked like she was injured by the way she was on the ground moving slowly. Roman rushed the strange dog’s side and barked loudly hoping someone would hear him. Without hesitation, the male looked down at the female and tried to help her a long.

  • 'The female glanced over at Sophie, who was giving out directions' did you mean Zoey?))

Zoey's ears perked up as she heard an alarming bark in the far distance. "Atlas wait, I'm coming with. We need to check out that noise." As she ran out of camp, she called out behind her, "Jaxx will be in charge!"

The young shepherd dog dashed towards the noise, assuming Atlas was behind her, and arrived at a dangerous scene. She first noticed the dogs but then saw a twoleg. Immediately, she jumped out between the dogs and twoleg and barked aggessively at it.

  • Atlas noticed Zoey begin to run and sighed in annoyance. He raced after her, soon catching up to her and the scene that awaited then. "Damn two-legs..." He mumbled and growled lowly at the human. The large brute jumped up and bit at the humans chest, in this case Atlas didn't fear the human. He continued to jump up even after the human pushed him away.

  • "Sophie, suppose I decided to start looking for companion. Do think, you know, I am healthy enough to be a father? I'd want to raise one of my pups to be an alpha some day." Selick felt a bit embarrassed, knowing he hadn't really shown interest in raising a family. He was sure that Sophie was thinking He was a fool for even asking. Besides, no one had shown interest in him either, so what's he so worried about?

Lily was so grateful for the help her pack had offered, coming to her aide like so. The two-leg fell back after a few pushes and Lily looked around, the scent of the male stronger than earlier. He must have heard the struggle. Her rear left leg was bent at an odd angle and she whimpered, "Zoey, come help me up. I can't move my leg..."

Jaxx was thrilled to be in charge, but very worried about what was going on outside of the camp. He paced around a bit and sat down abruptly. "What is going on out there?" He whispered to himself, simply curious.

  • Sophie smiled gently at the thought of a family. "Pups are a wonderful thing." She said still smiling. "Well I'm sure any of your symptoms can be helped with a few herbs." The female nodded her head along with the words. "It wise that you are thinking of a family, I'm sure their are many females eager to get know you." She laughed and nudged him. "I too am eager to start a family of my own, hopefully one of my pups will enjoy healing members of the pack."

  • Zoey almost jumped off to help Atlas but heard a voice behind her. "Oh? Oh right, let's go." She swiftly rushed to the dog's aid and leant the female up. Carefully, she started walking forward. "Atlas, chase that thing away and come help. We have to move".
