  • Ming glared at Kyung. He did technically save her from that assassin with the sword, but she would never admit it. That would hurt her dignity, and it didn't help that he appeared to be underestimating her skills. I can take care of myself. I am not the helpless little girl I was 8 years ago. Ming shook her head to get rid of the painful memories that threatened to come back to her. "No we are not, Dorje. We are going to take out as many masked benders as we can so we can lower the chances of anyone else being capture." Ming replied determinedly. "Just...try to only knock them out though. These people were once like the kids they are kidnapping today...the only difference is that no one gave them a chance to escape from such a fate."

OOC: Sorry for the short post! I have an extremely busy day ahead of me so my muse is a little off. I'll make longer posts in the evening.

  • "Knock some heads, find your sister. Got it." Jin said with a cocky smile, rushing into the fray of screaming people. So the ones that he was after were the ones with the masks, with the purple dots. That's as much as he could gather without any information. "What's your sister look like? Blue clothes like you?" HE asked, as he saw someone a few blocks down that could potentially be her. With a quick movement he also saw another of those mask people, this one with a red band to symbolize fire, he assumed.

With a leap he got into his stance and slid rock up towards the firebender in hopes to knock him aside and launch him into a wall or something similar to that.

  • Hasumi couldn't help but roll her eyes when she saw his cocky grin. Earthbenders... She thought with a huff. "She kind of looks like me, but our hair and eye colors are not the same. She has blue eyes and dark brown hair." Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a masked firebender getting ready to attack them but luckily Jin reacted quickly. Hasumi was about to help him but was stopped by a water whip that had wrapped itself around her ankle. Before Hasumi could free herself from it the waterbender controlling it yanked her back, dragging her on the cobblestone. "Jin!" she screamed, trying to get his attention. But it was too late. The waterbender had already dragged her into a nearby alleyway. "Well well...it looks like I finally caught the Red Moon. Lee will definitely be pleased." The masked waterbender said with a harsh laugh. Hasumi glared at the her. "Don't you remember what Lee said? Do not claim victory until you've made it impossible for your opponent to win." She then froze the water whip and broke the ice, freeing herself.

  • Iya looked towards where Azura was pointing, "Okay, so step one is complete. How do we get him out of her?" She asked. Purple Lotus members were advancing from all sides, they weren't about to let the king and his family get away with out a fight. "Actually I have an idea." Iya kicked off a shoe and planted the bare foot on the ground. The direct contact made it easier for her to manipulate the earth, and the ground rose underneath the carriage and the guards, leaving them above the swarming enemies. While it wouldn't deter them completely, it would give Iya the chance to come up with something better with the time it bought. A sudden flare of heat and pain engulfed Iya's back. A fire bender had hit her with flames of his own. The avatar ripped off what remained of her burning cloak, wincing as she moved her now burned back. "You're going to regret that." She growled.

Jian searched the crowd, eyes moving wildly, looking for Miaso's face. He barely heard Misao, but the faint call of her voice was enough for Jian to turn and locate her. It was obvious that she had already gotten into a scrape with who ever these people were while he had been occupied. He shoved his way through the crowd, although it was starting to thin. "Are you alright? You look like you have a pretty nasty bruise forming on your cheek." Jian whistled at the sight of the earthbender knocked out on the ground. "If we get out of this, you should teach me a thing or too." Suddenly the carriage rose above the fighting on a pillar of the earth. "I think the king is inside," Jian squinted trying to make out the figures inside the carriage, "I don't know about his son though."

  • Azura narrowed her eyes at the firebender who attacked Iya. Beside him was an earth bender, who was ready to mount a second attack on her Avatar friend. "Not today, you don't!" She encircled the earth bender in a tall wall of blue flames, closing it at the top. As the flames ate away the oxygen, the earth bender fell unconscious.

Kyung didn't like Ming's 'just knock them out' strategy, but he obeyed with much reluctance. Did she not understand how hard it is to just knock one of these guys out?!

  • Dorje nodded faintly at her. Even if he still could feel his hands shaking he felt a little more confident. This was a chance to actively help the world. Or just a few people. And it soothed him to know that they weren’t just blindly attacking. It didn’t matter if they were going against such monsters as the Purple lotus. He couldn’t ever bring himself to kill. A moral that had been instilled in him heavily by his father. It just wasn’t in his nature. He took in a deep breath “Alright... Alright. I’m not sure what your plan of action but we should move quick.. before more of them attack us up here.” He said dubiously.

Misao turned to face him as he approached letting her hand fall from her face. She scoffed “I’m fine and dandy. Going to take a lot more than that to put me down.” She said offhandedly. Trying to ignore how much her face was throbbing. Damned earthbender was as strong as he was stupid. “That’s a big if, but I can make a promise to do so.” She’d definitely have to train much more harshly hersel, more than she normally would. If more of these ‘mad’ benders showed up her Chi blocking would come in handy. She’d need to learn the rest quickly. Her eyes darted to the Carriage which had been risen into the air. She drew her fan out at that moment. She didn’t want to abandon the stage but right now that carriage and Firelord was their only legitimate lead. And it was under (well over) a large fight. She sighed “Best if we go help him out than eh?”

  • Ming bit her bottom lip as she tried to quickly come up with a plan. Hasumi...where are you? I could really use you right now. "But I thought you are the 'plan girl'..." She could almost hear Hasumi say, which is true. Ming was notorious for coming up with the craziest plans, but at this moment where they could really use a plan she had nothing. Come on Ming...think! Think dammit! The sound of moving earth interrupted her thoughts and she noticed an "earthbender" attempting to keep the Fire Lord's carriage away from the Purple Lotus. Her eyes then shifted to the stage where the young prince was located with two of his guards. "The prince!" Ming yelled to Dorje and Kyung while pointing at him. "He is on the stage! We need to hurry!" Ming started running to the stage, hoping that Dorje and Kyung were following close behind.

Prince Kuzon was hiding behind his two guards. The rest were out fighting against the benders with the weird masks. A cloaked figure suddenly caught his attention with her impressive earthbending and stepped to the side to get a better look. When she removed her cloak he couldn't help but smile in delight. "Avatar Iyasha!" He shouted, trying to get her attention. Being a young boy and all he did not understand how important it was that the Avatar's identity remained a secret but his words were going to cause another wave of chaos.

  • Iya turned towards the sound of the young princes voice, she was about to call out to him and reassure him that she was coming when he announced her presence. Iyasha felt the blood drain out of her face as multiple masked figures turned to face her. Panic thrummed inside her to the rhythm of her racing heart. "I'm going to get you and your family out of here my Prince." Iya's voice was to high pitched for her liking. "Azura, we need to get over there. Do you have any ideas, because I don't think I can pull off another airbender stunt like I did earlier." Iya was starting to regret not listening to the other firebender earlier and conserving her energy, because now she needed it more than ever.

An earthbender and waterbender decided to take their opportunity and attack. Boulders launched themselves at Iya, and water spouted up from the cracks in the road waving wildly as if the water itself were alive. Iya managed to get out of the way of the water but managed to put herself right in the path of an oncoming rock. The avatar went down hard as she was struck in the side, and the choking feeling of losing her breath constricted her throat.

Jian nodded, "That's probably a good plan." The male missed the little prince standing on the stage, he was more focused on the ornate carriage. He took out a few of the Purple Lotus with some well placed strikes that sent them down to the ground unconscious. Metal fans were very effective when utilized properly. Suddenly the number of Purple Lotus thinned out around the pillar, swarming towards something else that had captured their attention. "Your Majesty, we're here to help!" Jian called up to the carriage.

  • "we just have to keep these guys distracted so we can get to the Prince and his family." As she spoke, the Purple Lotus members turned on Iya. Azura didn't have time, her reflexes slowed by her wound, to defend Iya before she was knocked to the ground. Azura made a sort of growling sound and turned on the earth bender who had hit Iya. With a dangerous gleam in her eye, she advanced on him. Any rock he threw at her, she practically turned to molten lava with her flames. When she got close enough, she pivoted on her good leg and knocked him out with a heel to the temple.

Churning her flames in a circle to build power, she turned and began defending her wounded friend against an onslaught of attacks. "This isn't what I meant when I said distraction." She grumbled.

Kyung stood there, bouncing from foot to foot, as Ming came up with a plan. He itched to get back into the fight and help the citizens and the royal family. When she finally spotted the prince and raced off, Kyung was quick to follow. He knocked out any Purple Lotus member he came across with the hilt of his daggers.

  • "Avatar Iyasha!" the prince shouted, making Ming feel as though her blood had turned into ice. Avatar? Did he just refer to someone as Avatar? But it can't be. There was never an official announcement. Has the Fire Nation been hiding the Avatar this entire time? But why? Ming's thoughts were going a mile a minute, giving her a bit of a headache. Her thoughts were interrupted when she noticed the girl that was presumed to be the Avatar get knocked down by an earthbender. A firebender appeared to rush to the Avatar's aid, protecting her from the earth bender's attacks. Out of the corner of her eye Ming spotted a waterbender preparing an attack on the two from their blindspot. I have to help them! She thought. The waterbender used the water from a nearby fountain to bend a large wave to put out the firebender's wall of flames. The wave was moving at an impressive speed and would have washed them out, but it never did. Ming made it in time to stop it, making it combust into drops of water. She then glanced at the two benders. "Hello Avatar. It is about time you have finally shown your face to the world."

  • Shida walked among the chaos with intent, trying to find the exact source of the commotion. He knew that it was the Purple Lotus by the way some were screaming, but it didn’t matter to the male who they were, he was going to take them out anyway. Seeing the people he was about to face as benders, Shi knew he had it in for himself and that this would be a challenge. Nonetheless he spotted a waterbender by the fountain who was focused on making an attack only to have it stopped by another person. Feeling like surprise was in his favor, Shi threw the chakram around with his wrist towards the man, running as the weapon flew though the air charged with arcane. Once the weapon hit the man was surprised and fell off balance, leaving an opening to kick him down onto the ground and knocking him unconscious from the amount of force he hit the ground with. Feeling something collide with his shoulder Shida was knocked away from the other man and came to the attention of another earthbender that had just entered this area. Knocked down against the wall of a booth, the male tried to stand up, fire flowing through his shoulder and back with pain. Now what had he got himself into?

  • Azura ignored the waterbender as she greeted Iya. An earthbender hit her with multiple rocks. She grunted, stepping back on her back on her wounded leg. "He just had to open his mouth." She spoke to herself. Honestly, she had nothing against the young Prince. He was just a boy and didn't know any better. However, right now she really wasn't happy with him.

Azura knocked out the earth bender with a quick disk to the temple. Holding her firewalls was becoming exhausting, but if she let them down them they would be over run.

Kyung was running with Ming, when he watched a man get thrown down and struggle to get up. Through the element of surprise, he ran up behind the earthbender and knocked him out. Looking at the Shida, he held out his hand. "You really should be careful."

  • Jin heard Hasumi's cry a moment too late. Even turning around as quickly as he could he could barely see her disappear into an alleyway, dragged by a whip of water. He cursed under his breath and rushed over, losing sight of what he was looking at before in the haze of battle. There was no way he could let Hasumi get hurt, not only would it deal a blow to him, but it would prove her right.
With quick movements Jin found his way to the mouth of the Alley and saw her short struggle with the waterbender, hearing everything before she broke out. and he regained his senses. With great speed he got into his bending stance and brought up a short wall behind the waterbender, trapping them in the alley with Hasumi. "You alright?" He called out to her as he bended the earth and clapped the enemy waterbender, or at least tried to, between to slabs of rock that he brought out of the ground.

  • Iya pushed herself back to her feet, albeit a bit shakily. A noise behind her caused Iya to turn and she saw a Waterbender be taken out by another girl. Iya nodded to the waterbender, "Thanks for helping out." Azura had taken out the Earthbender by the time she had turned around, and Iya found herself grateful once again for her new found friend. "Thanks Azura," She flashed a smile.

Iya took a moment to gather her energy, her best plan was riding on her making it through without exhausting herself. "Alright, you've got this." She muttered to herself. It was a long shot of a plan, especially considering the skill she was planning on using was quite functional yet, but Iya thought she recalled a saying about high stress situations bringing the best out in people. Slowly but surely the wind around the prince began to pick up, forming into an air sphere that lifted him and his guards off the stage. Iya drew them closer to her and dissipated the sphere once the prince was close enough that she could be of use. "Did anyone hurt you Prince Kuzon?"

  • ((OCC- Apologies for the lack of activity.))

Dorje followed her closely as Ming began to run, holding back slightly. Not wanting to lead the pack even if the mission was urgent. He was thankful they’d located prince but was flabbergasted at what came from his mouth. Unintentionally revealing the Avatar. As most people were Dorje was always curious as to who they were. Even doubting their existence at times. He didn’t want to begin to contemplate into why they’d been hidden for so long. He pushed aside his thoughts, taking notice of Kyung separating from the group. He chose to continue following Ming, kicking up a tailwind behind them to increase their movement speed.

He’d halted before Ming did, not to far away. spotting a masked figure inconspicuously tailing them. As soon as they’d realized they’d be seen by Dorje they came at him. Swiping their hand up and sending out a blast of wind that almost knocking him off his feet. Another airbender he gritted his teeth. He’d fought many airbenders before, but never like this. He paused, shocked for a moment before realizing this masked airbender can and would kill him. He returned the favor, causing his opponent to falter but stand back up. Preparing to fight once more.

Misao ran quickly towards the purple lotus guards that still stood, keeping them from getting at the carriage. She ran directly full force into the first only stopping a few seconds before crashing. The guard stumbled back in surprise not being able to guard as she struck her fan directly against their temple causing them to keel over. The rest of the guards weren’t so easy. Avidly fighting against both highly trained benders and non benders proved to be quite a painful chore. Although she was saved from any extensive fighting as the majority of the guards drew back (the ones who were able to). Not to retreat but to go for a much more “high-price” target.

She didn’t follow, staring up at the carriage for a moment. Before returning her gaze back to the remaining foes. She drifted close to Jian’s side, they could only do so much for the lord down here. “I can handle the rest of these guys. I need you to get up to the carriage.” She ordered over to him before pausing. “You can climb right?

  • OOC: Same here! ((I've been sick ::)))

Jin heard Hasumi's cry a moment too late.

Hasumi grimaced as she stood up and brushed dirt off of her. The exposed parts of her arms were full of small scratches and she was pretty sure that her legs were now covered in bruises, but other than that she was fine. Ming can heal them later. She thought. "I'm fine." she finally replied before briefly glancing at Jin and adding with a smile "Thanks." Her attention then shifted back at the waterbender whose mask had fallen off when the two slab of rocks trapped her, preventing her from physically moving. She had a bored expression on her and didn't seem at all concerned by the situation she was in. "This is all very sweet but do you really think that these two pebbles can hold me back?" She scoffed. A smirk suddenly appeared on her face. "Earthbender, did you know that up to 60% of the human body is water?" Hasumi's eyes widened in horror. No... "Jin! Get out of here! Now! You are no match for her!" She yelled, trying to push him away. But it was too late. The waterbender was staring directly at Jin, trying to gain control of his body.

Ming nodded back to Iyasha and continued to cover her with Azura. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that Dorje was engaged in combat with another airbender, and not that far off Kyung was helping a man who appeared to be hurt. Despite all of the fighting that was still going on, the battle was finally drawing to a close. The Purple Lotus were retreating while the rest laid around trapped, hurt, or unconscious, and the prince was rescued by the Avatar. The young firebender smiled excitedly at Iyasha as she airbended him to safety. "I'm fine! Thank you, Avatar Iya!" he said, throwing himself at her to give her a hug. The Fire Lord and his wife were rushing over to their direction. They looked a little disheveled but they were fine for the most part. "Thank you so much, Avatar Iyasha. I don't know how we will ever repay you."
