  • Jin acted fast, kneeling down and looking at Lin who had a now terrified look on her face and he looked very serious. "Go find mom and dad. NOW!" He said and waited until she nodded at him. She knew very well to take him seriously when he got like this.

Jin quickly rushed behind Hasumi. "Wait up! What's going on?" He asked running after her his one arm pumping like mad as he tried to catch up with her. He quickly closed the gap between the two of them, and spoke up as he tried to keep pace with her. "I'm not just going to sit idly by if something bad's going on. I want to help" He insisted as he followed her. He wasn't the type to just sit idly by, and while everyone else seemed to be scared, his heart was beating quickly and he knew that this was going to be fun. The Adrenaline was pumping through his veins.

((What if one of Jei's sisters was taken by the Purple lotus for her bending abilities. Both Fei and Mei are confirmed benders that could be younger and taken. That could be a good motivation for him to go with the group and hunt down the Purple lotus and help the avatar.))

  • Iya flinched at the loud noise, and spun on her heel to see the rising smoke. She nodded to Azura, all her words stuck in her throat. She could almost feel the scar on her abdomen throbbing. Iya pushed that thought out of her mind, there was no time to be remembering things like that now. "Sir, stay here okay? Everything will be alright." With the smoke making it hard to see, Iya had no choice but to finally push back the hood of her cloak. She pushed her way through the crowd, hoping that Azura was following. Attacking in the smoke was too risky, with all the pedestrian swarming.

Jian could smell the smoke before he saw it. His eyes widened as the cloud of smoke rose above the crowd. "Misao," His voice came out quiet and strained, "We have to do something. How many warriors are in the area?" He asked, hand reaching back to grab his other fan. The conflicting feeling of running with the rest of the crowd and staying and helping like he had jokingly offered not minutes ago rose in him.

  • Dorje nodded his head simply at Kyung’s question more occupied with trying to watch the crowd than talking. He listened contently to Ming as she grew increasingly more excited about the Firelord. It was one of the most peaceful days he’d had in a while, serene and quite. He didn’t think it was a mistake coming here and making friends. And topped off with the firelord who had just began his announcement, this would be the first time Dorje had ever seen any royality (or world leaders). So he was shocked when his day all came apart in the form of a black cloud suddenly appearing. Obscuring his view, it was not even seconds later that screams could be heard. He stood up unsteadily instinctively. His mind screaming for him to get away. Dorje watched blankly as Kyung jumped down telling him to protect Ming. As if he even knew how to. He glanced down at her, his eyes narrowing trying to decide what he should do. He went with his orginal plan “We-We need to get out of here.” He said in a hushed fearful tone.

“Masterful artwork huh?” She repeated amusingly her brow raised. Misao was about to go on but caught site of a very lavish carriage passing nearby. There was very few people in the firenation who would be riding in something like that. Seemed her officer didn’t care to mention that to her. Trepidation flooded her senses, she was very wrong to look past her previous dread. The Firelord being here changed everything. This wasn’t a normal guarding mission. Every instinct in her body, every lesson and grueling training session told her that this was going go very south very quick. She stepped forward to get a better look as the Firelord went onstage. Her eyes scanning the crowd, looking for anything suspicious. Until her eyes found one of the masked performers from before. Lurking near the stage, way to close. She didn’t get the chance to act. A smoke bomb had went off. Filling the air with smog, and causing the commotion to ensue. Misao had been trained to handle situations like this. But it didn’t make it any less horrifying. She glances to Jian. As he inquires about the other members, “N-Not enough there’s four other duos in this radius.” She said quickly. They’d need to alert the others somehow, the ones closer to the palace. She turned on her heel towards her partner “Get backup! Now!” She snapped. Her partner stared at her horrified before obeying running in the opposite direction. All Misao could hope for is that she knew what she was doing.

She turned towards Jian “Your with me, stay close.” She ordered over her shoulder, trying to keep her voice from cracking. She didn’t give him any time to prepare if he needed it opting to run ahead into the frantic crowd. Shouldering her way through trying to get towards the stage and towards the Firelord and his family.

  • OOC: Montecristo I am fine with that!

Hasumi inwardly groaned when she saw Jin following her, and his questions did not help the overwhelming sense of dread that was threatening to engulf her like the smoke. "There is no time to explain! You need to find your family and keep them safe." She pleaded, trying to dissuade him from following her. But it was no use. He had that look in his green eyes that screamed for some sort of adventure. She was also wasting precious time that she and her sister could use to get away arguing with him. I'm gonna have to use it. She thought. It is the only way to keep him and his family safe. Hasumi began to think of what type of actions she wanted him do, but before she could bend his blood to do so a masked bender came out of the smoke. A green band was tied around his right upper arm, indicating that he was an earthbender. He spotted Hasumi and immediately recognized her. "Traitor!" he shouted as he shot a rock glove towards her (an ancient technique used by the Dai Li). Hasumi bended the water from a puddle that was between her and the earthbender, trapping his rock glove in a small wall of ice. "Go! Now!" She shouted at Jin. "These guys are too dangerous to fight on your own."

Kyung's command to protect her helped Ming to recover from her state of shock. "Um excuse me? I can take care of myself thank you very much!" she said with a huff. But next thing she knew he was already making his way down the tree. "Kyung!" she called out. "You can't fight these guys on your own!" But it was already too late. Kyung had already disappeared into the smoke and chaos. Ming turned to Dorje, trying to suppress his panic. "Get me down this tree! We have to go help them! The Fire Lord's son is in danger and Kyung could get himself killed!"

  • Azura followed Iya, having no time to be shocked about her being the Avatar. "I guess now's as good a time as ever." She mumbled to herself before removing her hood, which limited her sight. "We need to stop anyone who leaves the smoke." As she said this, she spotted one of the "performers" trying to get ahold of a screaming child. With a battle cry, she shot fire at the man, careful to miss the small child. She did a series of hand jesters and 'punched' the air with both hands. Out of her fists left a bird shaped flame, which wrapped itself around the man. She watched as the burning man screamed in pain and dropped the child.

Kyung ignored Ming's yelling. He lept into the Frey, taking on one man at a time. His first opponent was a man with fans, who gave him a run for his money.

  • Iya could hardly hear Azura over the din of the crowd. All the screaming and pushing made it hard to tell the citizens from the intruders. The stage was her main focus, after all the hospitality the royal family had shown her, she couldn't leave them to fend off the attackers by themselves. "I'm sorry Azura, but I think I need to get closer. Can you cover me?" She shouted back to the older firebender. As she got closer to the stage she could more and more people with the same stupid mask one with the purple dots.

Iya slid into a fighting stance, fire blooming from her closed fists. "There's an easy way to do this and a hard way. I suggest you just leave." Mere seconds after Iya had spoken did a waterbender come after her. Whips of water were flying from the puddles and fountains, and Iya moved quickly to avoid them. The avatar neared the bender, engaging the purple lotus member in close combat.

Jian nodded, to in shock to do anything but comply. He followed closely behind, calling out apologies as he bumped several people trying to go the opposite way. "Do you have a plan? I don't recall the Warriors ever teaching me a protocol for this specific situation," Jian called, eyes glancing side to side. He had a feeling that group he had seen earlier had something to do with whatever was going on.

  • Jin looked defiantly at Hasumi. "I'm not going anywhere, I can help, and I'm more than capable of holding my own." He insisted as he took up a stance and looked at the hostile earth bender, stomping his left foot ha have a column of rock shoot out of the ground up at the eatrth bender who deftly blocked and deflected it, breaking it up and shooting the disks that it made towards him. Jin Reacted quickly, using one hand in front of him to swat away each disk until the last one came and he grabbed it with his hand, spinning around and throwing it like a shakput towards the hostile bender.

While the enemy was focused on the disk, Jin took up his bending stance once more and slid his right foot out to the side, causing he earth beneath the feet of the hostile bender to slide out from under him and cause him to topple over, allowing Jin to quickly bring up restraints from the ground and Trap the bender in place, making sure that he couldn't move, or bend.
"Plus if I left where would that leave you. You'd be alone and like you said it's dangerous to fight these guys alone. I'm going to help you, whether you like it or not." He said.

  • Dorje stared at her wide eyed, she seriously wanted to jump into the fray. She was insane. Endangering herself and by extension him if he chose to not run off. He put a hand to his forehead pushing up his glasses as he did so. He had no time to contemplate, he’d always preferred to think these things out but didn’t seem he had the time to. “Okay.. okay..” he said wobbly before jumping off the branch onto the ground. The least he could do was get her down. He reached a hand up toward her “J-Just grab on to me and slide down slowly.” He instructed though his eyes weren’t on her. Where did Kyung even go? It was hard to see much of anything with so much smoke in the air. An idea struck him, even if he was against sticking around he could help that way. Allow people to see better. But for now he stood waiting for Ming, gritting his teeth anxiously as seconds passed.

Misao thought for a moment if she should just lie to him. Make it seem as if she knew exactly what she was doing. She had grown good at that but this wasn’t the right time. “No, just an objective.” She shouted back to him not pausing to look back at him. “Get to the royal family and hold off whatever bastard threw that smoke bomb.” The stage wasn’t to far but she couldn’t see a thing. Between the sea of people running and shoving past her and the smog in the air she was running blindly. Through the sounds of screaming she heard something even more daunting. Benders, and fighting not far away. Sounded like earth bending and maybe even water bending. She put it to the back of her mind. She couldn’t waste her time with them, the backup would come soon (she hoped) and protect the civilians. But If the culprits were benders that would complicate things. But she wasn’t sure, she needed to figure out who they were. “Keep your eyes open. We don’t know who we’re dealing with it could be anyone” she warned Jian.

  • Azura stayed at Iyas back, using her many talents to at least keep others from helping their comrad. She yelled when an arrow embedded itself in her leg. So many curses ran through her mind. The pain was in the back of her mind and all she felt was anger. Spotting the man with the bow sitting in a roof, she gathered her flames, planning to burn him to a crisp. That's when a man engaged him. Needing a place to put her anger, she yelled again, throwing up a circular wall of flames, targeting the Purple Lotus members. She only got, maybe, ten with her flames.

Kyung was engaging member after member, mostly keeping them from running after the citizens. An arrow wooshed past his head, followed by a yell. He looked around, spotting a man on a roof. Running out of the smoke, he scaled a drain pipe, sneaking up behind him. At the last moment, the member turned around and began fighting with his bow, which had blades on the ends. Kyung hissed whenever a blade would knick his arm.

  • Yeah! But I am more than capable of fighting them on my own. Hasumi thought exasperatedly. It was no use arguing with him. He had already made up his mind. Earthbenders...they are always so stubborn. She sighed and shook her head, accepting her defeat. "Fine. But stay close to me. I can't guarantee your safety if we get separated." She had to admit that the boy seemed to know what he was doing. He had managed to take down a prominent earthbender who had done nothing but train for every second of his life. Hasumi glanced at the trapped earthbender. His mask was badly cracked, revealing the lower part of his face. "Mark my words...the Red Moon will one day answer for her crimes against the Purple!" he spat. The earthbender's words caused Hasumi's features to harden. She made her way up to him and stood before him. "The Red Moon rises so it is time for you to go to sleep." She hissed before knocking him out with her bloodbending. The earthbender immediately stopped struggling and fell limp. He was not dead. She had only put him to sleep. After making sure that he was really out cold, Hasumi turned to face Jin. "Time to go!" She began running into the smoke, praying to the spirits that he was following close behind.

Ming grabbed Dorje's hand and quickly made her way down, ignoring his advice to go slow. There was simply no time and if she got a bit hurt in the process, then it was no big deal because she can heal it faster than someone saying "fire flakes". "Dorje, can you use your airbending to clear up the smoke? It will allow people to escape and help the guards find the royal family." With that she ran into the heart of the commotion, relying only on her hearing to discern what exactly was going on. A grunt of pain not far off caught her attention and she decided to head in that direction. She spotted Kyung in combat with a Purple Lotus assassin. The assassin kept nicking him in the arm with its bladed bow. I have to help him. At this point the smoke worked in her favor because it concealed her from the two. Using the water in her pouch she created a sheet of ice underneath the assassin's feet, causing him to lose balance.

  • Azura continued to use her many skills to take out members of the purple lotus. Blood ran from the wound in her leg, but she invited the pain. It fueled her anger. It fueled her fire.

Kyung did a quick turn and kicked the man off the roof, skillfully climbing down after to stand beside Ming. "I owe you one." He nodded to her his thanks. Upon seeing movement behind her, he shoved her down and threw up his daggers just in time to stop a Purple Lotus members with a flaming sword from taking her head off.

  • "Phoenix?" Iya glanced over her shoulder to check on her companion, and the arrow sticking out of her leg sent an wave of terror down her back. This whole situation wasn't one of the fake fights the masters had created over and over to test her, this was a real fight, with real consequences and people were getting hurt. Iya switched tactics, sliding into an airbender stance. Her arms struck out quickly, creating air swipes to knock down as many opponents as she could. While the air swipes wouldn't result in any heavy damage, it gave her a wider berth to work with. Iya once again shifted, moving into Earthbending. Sinkholes opened under the feet of a few more Purple Lotus members and they fell. By this point Iya could feel herself staring to slow down, attacking multiple people at once was quickly paring down her endurance. With a few moments to spare before the members could get back on their feet, Iya advance forward to the nearing stage.

"Sounds good," Jian followed after Misao, trusting the Kyoshi warrior to lead them to the heart of the danger. Suddenly Jian noticed someone rushing towards them, and they didn't look to friendly who ever it was. "Heads up," He called to Misao as the masked person launched themselves at the pair. Fire burst forth from the attackers mouth and Jian jumped back to avoid the flames. "I can cover you, just get to the stage," Jian's eyes didn't leave the firebender for a moment as he spoke to Misao. The fire bender moved as if he were about to follow to Kyoshi warrior, "Oh no you don't buddy." Jian moved forward, fans open in his hands.

  • Jin followed closely behind Hasumi, his vision clouded by the smoke that was everywhere. It was impossible to avoid it seemed. "It's so hard to see with all this smoke." He coughed but kept walking all the same. "I'm hoping you have a plan." He said as he walked beside her, trying to keep an eye out for any other benders in the area. He had other questions as well, like how she knew that stuff about the red moon, or what it even meant, but he kept that to be all internal and just kept moving along.

  • Dorje nodded at her as she ran off to assist Kyung. He did not have his staff with him but that shouldn’t impede to harshly. He breathed in deeply running forward and towards the smoke halting quickly. He spread his arms out in a opening fashion. Wind blasting outwards causing the majority of the smoke to separate. Revealing exactly what was happening beneath it all. He gulped, there was so much fighting. His muscles tensed and screamed for him to turn tail and get to a higher place. This was not a situation he ever wanted to be in. It was something his mother and father advised him to stay away from. This stuff was the reason he was sheltered for so long. He should run but against his better judgement he didn’t. Opting to run after Ming and Kyung who looked to be already defeating a masked man. He panted but glanced between the two. It was better to be in a group was his excuse for his decision. He didn’t know what to say or do say. “What’s going on?” Was all he could manage.

Misao noticed the intruder bolting at them thanks to Jian’s warning. Ducking down as they spat fire up in their direction, only missing her by a few inches. She skidded in the dirt for a moment about to grab her fans and fight. Until he’d told her to continue on, it was the better decision. Even if she didn’t really want to leave him to defend himself against this barbaric fire bender. “Right” She said turning back towards the direction of the stage. The smog had cleared suddenly giving her a semi-clear view. She couldn’t spot the Royal family anywhere but she wasn’t close enough. She hoped they’d gotten away but doubted things would go that well. She began running foward calling out “Don’t die!” Over her shoulder before she continued on.

The closer she got the more of these masked ‘performers’ she saw fighting or pushing their way through the crowd. She cut through without looking back but was sure someone was on her tail. She didn’t have the time to turn around, quickening her pace and getting to the point where she had a clear view of the stage. Until she felt a sharp pain in her ankle and she fell face foward. Calling out a long slur of cusses as she hit the ground. She forced herself to slouch uptight, to face the perpetrator. An earth bender who’d managed to trip her. “Oh your going to pay for that.” She grumbled under her breath, forcing herself quickly upright and rushing at them without much thought.

  • Azura practically growled as she limped closer to the stage, closer to Iya. "You're going to exhaust yourself. " She spoke to the girl. "There's too many of them to continue fighting like this. We must find the Royal Family and protect them." The began throwing flaming disks, wounding more and more Purple Lotus members. "Oh! And my name, Avatar, is Azura Belle."

Kyung fought off the attacker before turning to Dorje. "It's the Purple Lotus. My guess is they're here for the prince." He spoke quickly. "Now, how's about we try and find the Royal Family. If the Purple Lotus gets ahold of the Heir, we might as well kiss everything goodbye." He was being a bit dramatic, but then again he may have been downplaying it. Just imagine the Purple Lotus with a firebender of royal blood. Chaos.

  • "Kyung, stop acting like I don't know how to take care of myself!" Ming snapped as she threw back another masked bender with a wave of water and froze her to a tree. "And you seem to be quite knowledgeable about the Purple Lotus. Not everyone knows about that ugly truth." A blast of fire passed by dangerously close to her head, causing her to briefly shift her attention away from the two boys. Her arms began to be engulfed by water and with a simple water whip she was able to trap the hands of the firebender, making it impossible for him to use his bending. She then threw back the whips, causing him to go flying. "We need to try to make our way to the stage. Hopefully, the prince is still there with his family." Ming said loud enough for Dorje and Kyung to hear.

Ah yes! A plan...could definitely go for one of those. Hasumi thought sarcastically. "My sister is here somewhere. We need to find her and get out of here. But that doesn't mean we can't kick some of these masked benders' butts. These people are also charged with kidnapping young benders. We will be saving a lot of children from a life of misery by taking some of these guys out." The smoke began to clear up a bit as they made their way closer to the chaos.

  • When a young looking girl from the tribe of the nation he was currently in approached him the male didn’t waste any time pulling his attention from his ring to her. He wondered why in the first place she had come to speak to him, but soon after he thought of that question it was answered simply. “Me? I’m from Republic City. You seem to be of this nation right? You sure look like the strong, beautiful warriors I was told about.” Okay, maybe he had overdone it for a first meeting, but when she didn’t respond to his flirting attempts with reprimands and such, it quite unsettled him to think that there wasn’t danger. This mysterious girl had told him to stay where he was. With other people in danger? “To hell with staying put.” The thought passsing through Shida’s mind as he slung his arm around his back, drawing out the chakram in its full glory. He was ready to face the danger at hand, whatever it might be to him.

  • "I'm fine, I'll just take them out fine. No time to get exhausted that way." The Avatar's logic was obviously flawed, but the teen seemed to believe her statement to be true. "The Royal family should be near, I saw the carriage stop somewhere around here," Iya scanned the surrounding area, a giant golden carriage didn't exactly blend in, and it didn't take long to spot a glint of the precious metal through the smoke. "There!" She yelled pointing. She grabbed Azura's hand, "Great to meet you Azura, I'm Iyasha," she introduced as she whipped up a wind to propel them into the air, above the heads of the enemies, to the carriage.

"I'll try my best, no promises," Jian watched Misao's fading figure for only a moment, that was all he could afford, before all his attention returned to the fire bender. The bender sucked in air, and it came out a fiery blast. Jian nimbly leaped out of the way, striking the fire bender as he did. They fought, trading blows until Jian landed a solid hit to the back of the person's head and they crumpled to the ground. Jian leaned forward, hands against his knees, as he tried to recover. "Maybe I'm rustier than I though," He panted out to himself. It didn't matter though, Misao was somewhere in that mess, Jian picked a direction and started running, hoping he could find her.

  • Azura, through all of the madness and chaos around them, laughed. The way It's introduced herself made her laugh. She didn't know why. Maybe it was the pain? Finally she stopped and looked around. "I see the King!" The king was trapped in the carriage, a few guards defending him as best they could.

Kyung rolled his eyes at the waterbender. "Fine. Next time I'll just let them cut your head off." He huffed. When she questioned him about his knowledge of the Purple Lotus, he shrugged. "I'll tell you when all this is over." He nodded when she said they should make their way to the stage.

  • Dorje choked at the mention of the purple lotus, coughing and sputtering until he caught his breath. The thought of them collecting more benders horrified him and in such a crowded place. With a huge target. Everyone was in danger. He heard the recognizable sound of a bow and arrow firing and turned on his heel. He caught the arrow with his bending and turned it around using force to shoot it straight back at the masked man. The air was enough to knock him off his vantage point as well as being stabbed in the leg. He wouldn’t be climbing back up very soon. “What about the others though? Are we just going to leave everyone else?” He said turning back to face the two. Sure the Fire prince was a priority but there was so many other benders here. And they may not have the same skills or talent as him or Ming. He didn’t want anything horrible to happen to the ‘smaller’ people. Because he was one of them at one point.

Misao was about to tackle the earthbender to the ground when she felt a fist connect to her cheek. Causing her to recoil backwards and let out a pained grunt. That’d leave a definite mark later but she had no time to whine about it. As the ground beneath her started to wobble. She ran foward but instead of going straight at him she turned so she was facing his back. A series of quick jabs rendered function in his arms useless. Typically something she wouldn’t attempt with an earthbender, since their bending was more leg focused. But her opponent paused caught off guard, exactly what she was counting on. She swiftly landed a kick in the middle of his back. Causing him to fall directly into his own handy work. He hit his head harshly on a stalactite he’d risen from the ground. Knocking him out. She stood over him to make sure it wasn’t a ruse, rubbing her palm against her cheek. Her eyes scanned her immediate area. Catching sight of Jian running nearby but in the wrong direction. “Over here!” She called. Before looking back at the stage. She’d have to physically search it. It was impossible to see everything meaning people could hide on it. And she hoped they were ether doing or better escaped back to the carriage or to their guards.
