  • "Excuse me, miss? Do you happen to have this in blue?" Hasumi had to restrain herself from rolling her eyes as she watched her sister, Ming, ask the store clerk if they had the shirt she was carrying in blue. "Ming..." Hasumi hissed. "Has it occurred to you that we are in the Fire Nation capital! Why in the world would they have blue clothing!" Ming didn't even bother to look at her sister as she replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "Because blue is a fantastic color that they should sale everywhere." At this point Hasumi could no longer resist it. She rolled her eyes before giving the store clerk an apologetic look. The store clerk responded to Hasumi with a smile to indicate that all was well. "Unfortunately, we do not have that shirt in blue. In fact, none of our clothing comes in blue." Ming frowned and looked sadly at the shirt. "But...it's so pretty..." After staring forlornly at the shirt for a few minutes, she handed it back to the store clerk, thanked her, and headed out of the store. "Hey! wait for me!" Hasumi exclaimed as she jogged a bit to catch up with her sister. "You should have bought it! We are planning on attending the Fire Lily Festival...it will make you look festive" Ming shook her head. "No! I refuse to wear any other color. I don't care if I stick out like a sore thumb. I am a proud Water Tribe woman and ain't nobody gonna stop me from representing!" Hasumi crossed her arms and smirked. "Funny how you don't care about sticking out because I remember a certain young girl crying because her parents wouldn't allow her to use penguin seal eggs to style her hair." Ming halted and turned around to scowl at her sister. "I was 6 and that was the new fashion trend!" Hasumi crinkled her nose in disgust. "It made you look like you haven't washed your hair in years. Sooooooo greasy..." Ming rolled her eyes and continued walking forwards. Hasumi grinned, gloating secretly over her little victory. "We should start heading over to the town's center. The sun is starting to set and that is where all of the festivities are taking place." Ming said as she looked up to the sky. Hasumi nodded in agreement before adding in a low voice "Remember...we have to be careful because it is going to be extremely crowded and there might be members of the Purple Lotus there." Ming merely shrugged in response but Hasumi knew that she was taking the warning seriously. The shrug was just an act to make them appear nonchalant.

The evening's weather could not have been anymore perfect. Since the sun was setting it was no longer too hot and there was a nice, cool breeze. The Fire Lily Festival had been taking place throughout the Fire Nation for centuries, but none can top the one that took place at the capital. It was certainly a grand event that even the royal family took part in. There were rides, dancing, games, firebending performances, and most importantly delicious foods. Hasumi couldn't help but feel a little overjoyed at the thought of attending such an engagement. She had heard stories about it when she was a little girl, and it was nice to actually enjoy herself for once. Her and her sister's lives for the past year have only consisted of running from one town to the next to get away from the Purple Lotus. It was a lonely life and she knew Ming absolutely hated it. Hell! Even she hated it and she was the awkward introvert who didn't know how to interact with others. The festival was perfect because it gave them a chance to be around welcoming people for once. Even if they were only welcoming because they wanted their money. Hasumi sighed and shook her head. Ming glanced at her sister but didn't say anything. She didn't need to ask because she already knew what her sister was thinking. The festival was going to cheer the both of them up.

When they made it to the town's center they couldn't help but gape at the scene in awe. The trees surrounding the area were full of bloomed fire lilies, which were a brilliant shade of red. Numerous food and games stands were scattered all over. And the amount of people present was impossible to count. A stage was set up at the center and a live band was playing music that was broadcasted all over. Not a single person had anything other than a smile on their face. The smell of food hit both of the girls' noses and they immediately began to follow it. The smell brought them to a stand that sold fire cakes. "Yuuuum!" Ming sang as she observed the rows of fire cakes. Hasumi stomach growled intensely, making the the food stand clerk laugh. "Sounds like you could go for one of my famous fire cakes!" He winked. Ming nodded in excitement. "Definitely! Can we have two of your finest fire cakes please!" She gave the clerk a curtsy and nudged Hasumi on the side with her elbow to make her pay in the process. Hasumi looked up as if to say "spirits give me strength" and started fishing in her bag for her wallet to pay the clerk. However, the clerk shook his head not accepting the money. "Please...it's the Fire Lily Festival! These cakes are on me." The twins tried to protest but he was not having it. He handed them their fire cakes and waved them off. The two thanked him tremendously and bowed before walking away to devour the delicious treat. They found a spot under one of the fire lily trees and began to eat. The fire cake was so good that it almost made Hasumi cry, and it usually takes a lot to make her cry. After finishing their cakes, the two remained under the tree, sitting and observing the people. There were people from all nations present at the festival. The majority was Fire Nation but they spotted quite a number of people dressed in green, blue, and yellow. "I wonder if the Avatar is here..." Ming mused. Hasumi looked at her sister with a frown. I wonder too...

OOC: I know this post is super long but don't worry about making your posts just as long (remember at least 5-8 sentences) cause I was only trying to build the scenario where our characters will meet. I was thinking that they will kind of bump into each other during the festival. Not all of them will take too kindly to each other at first but I was thinking that a large event (such as an assassination attempt towards the heir to the Fire Nation throne or some important person that was obviously organized by the Purple Lotus but nobody realized it) could take place, bringing our characters together. Please let me know what you think! :)

  • Occ: I like it! Thanks for clarifying btw lol

Azura wore her festival mask as she walked the streets, admiring the Fire Lily trees. She was brought here to do a performance, even though she wasn't exactly allowed to be here. The Royal heir, who had invited her, said she could come as long as she hid her face. And if she got caught, she was here on her own terms.

Of course, no one would touch her during the festival. Not as long as her performances with blue flames dazzled the crowd.

A little girl ran up to her. "Are you the Phoenix lady?!" Her mother was quick to try and usher the young girl away. Azure quickly assured her it was fine and knelt down to speak with the little girl. "Yes, I am." She smiled and the little girl giggled. "Can you show me the pretty blue flames?!" Azure held out her palm and a small blue flames appeared in the center. The girl ctared In wonder before her mother drug her away.

Kyung hung out on the roof of a shop building. He watched the crowds below him. He didn't even like crowds, but something told him he should come to the festival.

With a sigh, he jumped down and scared a group of people in the process. Kyung walked around until he found a man selling fire cakes. He stared at them for a moment, wondering if he should buy one. He'd never had one before, so he didn't want to waste his money.

"My boy, they are all the same." The clerk smiled.

"I've never had one." Kyung admitted, to which the clerk gasped.

"Oh my!" The clerk picked one up and handed it to him. "Your very first fire cake is on me, my boy!" Kyung took a bite and nearly melted.

"This is amazing." He spoke around a mouth full of cake. The clerk smiled. Kyung thanked him and started walking again.

  • Misao was on duty, it was her responsibility to protect these unsuspecting formation citizens much to her disappointment. While they got to have fun and enjoy the fire lillies she was suppose to stand still and pay attention. She wouldn’t mind normally but, it was a festival. One she’d never been to before, sure she’d spent much of her days in the capital but never got the chance to attend anything this fun. What sane person wouldn’t want to partake in the festivities. To delight themselves with sugary delights and dance like an absolute fool. But that wasn’t what she was here to do. It was stressed with utmost importance that this was an incredibly important task. The sheer amount of people that crowded the courtyard was an invitation for something bad to happen. She never just got to relax or let lose; it took long enough to travel from republic city back to Kyoshi than all the way to the capital. Almost a quarter of the squads had been positioned here or around the palace to make sure no criminals or purple lotus would dare rear their ugly faces today. It wasn’t unbearable though, she did have a few firenation children run up to her to gape at her. As if she were some exotic animal in a zoo but nonetheless. If was amusing enough and hell she did get a good view of some of the performances. She sighed audibly leaning against a wall and crossing her arms. Earning a glare from her partner, one of the newer girls and a bit to adamant on proving herself. Misao thought she was a bit of a tryhard but paid her no mind. Eyeing a blue-fire bender Across the way, they looked very familiar but with their face blocked by a mask she couldn’t put her finger on it. Probably just a noble from palace she’d met plenty of those. But she was putting on quite a show and that’s what really interested her.

Dorje had arrived recently, wishing to see for himself what all the hype was about. He’d only been once before as a young boy with his mother and had never went since. He felt he owed it to his mother to Atleast go on his own merits once. He And expirence it in it’s fullest. The crowds were daunting but he eventually relaxed, a bag of fireflakes in his hands that he’d bought from one of the street vendors. Although he tried to balance flicking them into his mouth and walking it wasn’t working out to well. And almost twice had he barreled into a passerby. They were an.... acquired taste definitely and dang did they burn your mouth. Most firenation food was that way, he wasn’t to big into it but it was certainly different than his diet. He closed the bag and scanned around the crowd looking for a bench or some sort of seat. He couldn’t spot any but did spot some free space under a fire Lilly tree where two presumably water nation girls were sat. They didn’t look intimidating so he took his chances and moved over to the spot sitting not to far away from them. A festival was a chance to get aquatinted with new people so why not? “Hello.” He greeted cheerily “Certainly is packed today huh?”

  • Jin stood in awe of the sights around him. Red colors and fire benders and... Ah! It was just all so exciting. Jin himself was clothed in green colors, representing his earth kingdom heritage with all his might, wearing somewhat traditional clothing with hues of yellow and gold. Baggy brown pants, under his long green top that was maybe a little long. No sleeves, leaving his arm bare. His hair was tied back in a small topknot and he walked through the festival like a sore thumb sticking out.

Jin jumped up with a loud "Wahoo!" and took a few big steps forward before the back of his pants was snagged by a small hand causing him to look back. It was one of his sisters. Lin, the youngest of the seven at only seven years old.

"I'm hungry~" Lin whined in a high pitched voice that was grating on Jin's ears, but endearing in its own right. "I want some FIRE CAKES." She said bouncing excitedly as she pointed to one of the nearby stands. Jin lowered himself down to her level, and rested his hand on his knee and looked at her with a loving look of a brother, but a slight hint of annoyance.

"I guess we can get you one... but I thought you were going to hand around Ming."

"I was but she's sooooo boring! She just wants to look at clothes and junk. You're the fun sibling!"
    "I wouldn't say that-"
    "I WOULD!"

"Not so loud Lin, you're going to burst an eardrum." He said as he jokingly patted his ear. "Fine fine, let's get some Fire cakes." He said as he stood up and Lin bounced up joyfully, running to the stand as Jin followed behind to the stand.

Jin's whole family was in town for the Fire Lilly festival, his parents were merchants, hoping to sell some of their good in the capital city, while letting their children experience some of Fire nation Culture. It was a win win, and they'd be staying in town for a few days. Jin got a lot of time to himself, but at the same time was stuck watching his sisters when he had the time to or when they wanted to bother him. It was annoying, yes but it was also a bit of a joy to hang out with them, all seven of them. So far mentioned were Lin and Ming. Ming was the oldest of the bunch at 21 years old and was a bit of a fashion nut who loved to sample different styles and outfits, fire nation style being no different. Lin on the other hand wasn't that into all the girly stuff that her other sisters were, not so much as another, but she was a bit of a rambunctious one, so much so that her father said that if she had been a bender she would have brought the house down by now. Jin had to agree.

Hasumi's thoughts were interrupted by a foreign voice. It took her a minute to register where it came from but she eventually figured out who the owner of the voice belonged to. A boy who appeared to be around their age was sitting near them. Judging by his clothes he was from the Air Nation. Maybe he is an airbender! Hasumi thought. Ming was quick to answer. "It certainly is! Isn't it wonderful?" She exclaimed as her ice blue eyes shined with excitement. Hasumi had to restrain herself from chuckling at her twin's excitement. Ming absolutely loved talking to people, and with the life they lived that made interactions with others nearly impossible. It is no surprise that Ming is almost jumping with joy at the fact that someone was talking to her. "I'm Ming and this is my sister, Hasumi." Hasumi nodded in greeting. She was extremely shy and she was not entirely good at first impressions. She gently nudged her sister in the ribs before muttering "I am going to get more food" under her breath. Ming nodded at her sister and watched her as she got up and left. She then turned back to face Dorje, flashing him one of her famous "nice to meet you!" smiles. "So...what is your name?"

Hasumi began to hug herself a bit as she made her way back to the fire cakes cart (a habit she developed throughout the years due to her insecurity). She didn't really want another fire cake but at this point she had no idea what to do. She was not good at social interactions. The whole situation made her uncomfortable to the point that she needed to find a way to get out of there. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going and the next thing she knew she had almost run over a little Earth Kingdom girl. However, (thanks to her quick reflexes) she was able to stop herself right before running into her. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, blushing profusely at her obliviousness.

  • Lin was busy walking towards the fire cakes stand before she was nearly bumped into by a stranger who was way taller than her, and dressed in all blue. It was then that she looked up at the older Water tribe girl and stoped, smiling big. "Oh it's fine, My sister's clumsy too!" She said with a big smile on her small face. "You're really Pretty!" she exclaimed as she looked up at her and giggled.

Jin noticed this when he was about half way to the fire cakes stand, when he turned back. "Lin!" He called out as he ran back over to her and took her hand in his. "Lin, don't bother this girl." He said in a hushed tone as he looked up to the girl whom his sister was talking to and gave her an apologetic look with all due censarity.

"I wasn't bothering her, Jin!" Lin insisted as she looked between the two older people, slightly intimidated by the larger prescenses that were her brother and the water tribe girl. "I think she's from the water Tribe, Jin, isn't that cool!? Right Jin? Isn't she pretty!" She seemed very excited at the prospect of meeting new people and possibly getting to get her brother to meet new people as well. Especially one so pretty. (She thought the water Tribe girl was very pretty, if that wasn't very obvious already.)

"I'm sorry about her, she's very excitable."

    "AM NOT!"

Jin shot her a look and she shushed up. "I'm Jin by the way, Jin Chang, and this is my little sister, Lin."

"You should meet all my other sisters, they would really like you!" Lin piped up.

"I'm sure they would, but let's not overwhelm the girl." He chuckled and looked up to meet the water tribe girl's eyes.

(I'm half tempted to make on of the sisters part of team avatar at some point haha, they're fun to play.)

  • Any precarious fears faded with the sound of Ming’s voice, she sounded kind and sincere. Dorje had nothing to fear here. He chuckled at her, he agreed that it was pretty great. Having so many people enjoying life in one place rather they were sightseeing or eating delicious sweets was something. A change of pace from the nervous and tense air in the Temples. “It really is.” He grinned before listening quietly to her introduce her and her sister. He didn’t pay much mind to Hasumi leaving other than wondering for a split moment if he made her uncomfortable. But didn’t get time to really overthink his actions before Ming asked for his name. “Oh! It’s Dorje, but just call me Je.” He grinned once more “it’s a pleasure to meet you as well. Haven’t gotten the chance to meet to many people out of the Air Nation. So it’s a real treat to be here.” He explains pulling down one of his sleeves of the jacket he was wearing, showing her a part of his tattoo. “Didn’t really get out to much hahaha spent a bit to long in the air.” He paused before continuing “So what brings you here? Other than the festival of course.”

  • Azura had a blue flame in her hand, rolling the small ball as she stood looking around, bored. As she stood there, children stopped to watch the blue flame in her hand. Well, she might as well put on a show while she's here.

With a mental shrug, she started to smile. "Who wants to see some tricks?!" She bellowed out into the crowd. The children all cheered, their parents standing back as they watched also. Azura started by taking the small ball in her hand and tossing it into her other hand. She threw the ball back and forth, moving it in a circular motion intil she had a ring. She widened it and dropped it around the kids, who all giggled. Azura put out the flames and put a finger to her lips in thought. "Who likes dragons?!" She bellowed, to which almost everyone cheered. "Did you know I'm a dragon?" They all gave her funny looks as she stepped back, tilting her head to the sky and breathing a big blue flame.

Kyung grew anxious as more people crowded around him. He knew he wasn't close to the main festival, so why we're all of these people here? He soon found out when he walked up on a street performer playing with blue flames. 'must be a royal giving her kingdom a show' he thought as he watched while eating his firecake.

  • Normally Hasumi would have come up with an excuse just to scurry away from people that tried to talk to her but something about the little girl made her relax a bit. The girl's exited attitude reminded her a lot of Ming when they were younger. Ming was not any different now but it was a lot cuter when they were 5 or 6, and this girl seemed to be at around that age. It also helped that the girl kept complimenting her every three seconds. Hasumi had to admit that she was a bit flattered. Unfortunately, the girl was not alone because a boy around Hasumi's age appeared behind her trying to get her to calm down. Definitely from the Earth Kingdom. She thought, acknowledging their green clothing. The boy suddenly introduced himself and his sister, interrupting her thoughts. Her dark purple eyes briefly met his green eyes before flicking back to the little girl. She quickly swallowed her insecurities before smiling back at the two of them. A light blush still remained on her cheeks. She bent down a bit to become eye-level with Lin. "It is very nice to meet you, Lin. My name is Hasumi and I too think you are very pretty."

Ming couldn't help but gasp when the boy showed her his airbending tattoos. "You have the tattoos! That means you are an airbending master!" She exclaimed. "That is amazing!" A group of children surrounding a firebending performance suddenly caught her attention. Dorje's question brought her back to reality though. Her smile disappeared for a moment as she thought about her answer. The boy did not look dangerous (and she has pretty good instincts) but she should not be careless about her answer just in case he was a spy for the Purple Lotus. "My sister and I wanted to see the world." She continued watching the firebending performance. "We wanted to see something other than snow and ice."

  • {Sorry I'm late to the party!}

Iyasha couldn't focus on her training all day, her mind consumed by thoughts of the fire festival. This was one of her favorite festivals of the year, what with all the decorations and entertainment, not to mention the food. The food might be the biggest reason she liked the festivities so much, but she wasn't about to admit that. Eventually her teachers let her go and prepare for the festivities, seeing as no significant progress was being made. They knew her well enough by now to just let her leave.

Iyasha wandered the streets, a cloak keeping her obscured from the crowds. Most of the fire nation knew her by now, and she didn't want to be held up every few feet by someone getting excited over the avatar. The praise was nice, but sometimes she wanted to blend in just a little more, so she could enjoy the festivities as well. One of her first stops had been the firecake stand, obviously. She had watched the vendor hand two girls from the water tribe some cakes for free. The firecakes certainly were a crowd pleaser.

Iya decided to keep moving along, new wonders awaiting her around every corner. Another firebender who could produce blue fire, a rare trait she hadn't seen in anyone else besides herself for quite awhile. she debated going to speak to the blue firebender, not wanting to tear her away from the excited kids. Eventually curiosity won and she made her way over, reaching up and tugging her hood lower to better hide her face. She stood towards the back of the crowd, a smile curving her lips as she watched the self dubbed 'dragon' perform. She wan't half bad, Iya couldn't help but admire her techniques.

Jian watched the festivities from above on the rooftops. The hustle and bustle of the crowd a bit too much for him. It was nice to see so many happy people in one place though, he just wished the streets were wider. He had stolen some food earlier, but was considering going back for seconds when the familiar colors of a Kyoshi warrior uniform caught his eye. He made his way over to the woman, trying to see if he knew her. Jian had trained for quite a few years under the Kyoshi warriors, but he was unable to tell if he knew the warrior under the layers of makeup. "Hey, fancy seeing a Kyoshi warrior here. Having fun people watching?" He asked, a teasing grin evident on his face.

  • He couldn’t help but coyly rub the back of his head at her enthusiasm. “I had really good teachers.” He affirmed bashfully before getting distracted by a crowd of children and even some adults being swept in by some performance not to far from where they were standing. He craned his neck to see what the commotion was all about. It was hard to see through the gaps between people other than flashes of occasional blue light. Whatever it was had to incredibly spectacular but before he himself could be swept up in into he turned back to Ming. He noticed the strange drop in her charisma, that was a bit invasive of a question he figured. Mentally slapping himself for not thinking that through. But it seemed to go okay anyway, she didn’t run away disgusted with him or anything. “That’s a pretty fun thing to do. So many places to go explore. Hmm, but I’ve always wanted to visit the poles myself, but my bison isn’t used to such long trips.” He decides to eat a few fire flakes between sentences his eyes glancing back towards the direction of the performer. He glanced up towards the tree spotting a low hanging sturdy branch. “Hey, do you want a better look? Kinda hard to see from down here?” He asked tilting his head slightly.

Misao had sort of zoned out, and by sort of she completely zoned out. Observing the performance and overly estatic children and funnily enough overly ecstatic adults. So when a masculine voice interrupted her she startled slightly. “Ah shi-“ she started before correcting herself, fixing her posture and looking up at the male. He was certainly a familiar face. He did look remarkably like a boy some of the Kyoshi Warriors had trained a while back. For quite a while to, Atleast a few years. Though she couldn’t remember if she’d ever talked to him straight on. Didn’t think she could recall his name at the moment anyhow. Something with a J definitely. She smirked at his question “Pffft, Me people watching that would be a disgrace. I’d never!” She waved her hand out offhandley in an exaggerated manner “I’m just doing my job, keeping all the fire nation citizens safe by standing here looking cool and doing a whole lotta nothing.” She continued wryly.

  • Azura finished her performance by launching herself into the air on streams of blue flames that flew from her feet. She did a few flips before landing gracefully back on her feet. The crowd cheered. "Okay, folks, that's all I have for you right now! Please be sure to stop by later! And don't forget to grab a few fire cakes!" She waved at the children and their parents as they walked away.

Kyung stayed put as she crowd began to vanish. That was the best fire bending performance he had ever seen. Granted he'd only seen a few, but still. The performer sure knew how to dazzle the crowd.

  • The show ended, and Iya clapped along with the rest of the crowd. She had only seen the end of the show, but it had still been very impressive. As the crowd dispersed, Iya made her way forward towards the performer. "That was some pretty advanced fire bending, where did you learn to do that? I only learned that kind of stuff towards the end of my firebending training." Iya questioned. She was excited to be talking to another firebender who was so advanced, this was a perfect opportunity to pick up some new tricks and refine her firebending even more.

Jian laughed, "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I don't remember Kyoshi warriors being jumpy. Is that a new thing?" He asked. Up close he could sort of make out her face, and her name was on the tip of his tongue. He remember the warrior as someone who had held a lot of power in the ranks while he was there, and while that narrowed down the list it wasn't enough to pinpoint the female. "Isn't that the noble duty of the Kyoshi warrior? What else are you suppose to do besides looking cool. That was the whole inspiration for the uniforms. Why else would they make you suffer in such stuffy clothing in fire nation weather?"

Kinda hard to see from down here?” He asked tilting his head slightly

Ming looked at Dorje questioningly. Part of her wanted to go find a better view but another part of her told her to stay put until Hasumi returned. The last thing she needed was another one of her sister's lectures about how she should not go wondering around by herself. Because you can run into members of the Purple Lotus and blah blah blah... Ming silently cursed to herself before smiling apologetically at Dorje. "I would like to but I should probably remain here until my sister returns. She would freak if she saw that I had gone." Ming obviously did not realize that the boy had tree climbing in mind. She thought they needed to go elsewhere to find a good spot.

  • Azura nearly stumbled over her words when asked where she had picked up her skills. "I-I taught myself, mostly." She smiled. "I had a trainer who would allow me to borrow some of his family scrolls. It seems I am a quick learner." Azura wasn't really lieing. She had, for the most part, taught herself. However, she didn't learn anything from scrolls. She learned by watching master benders when they came to train with her teacher. She mimiced their movements until she successfully learned the skill.

Kyung, who was about to approach the performer, quickly took a different route when another began talking to her. He found himself walking towards the Fire Lily trees. He swiftly climbed one, unaware of the two people sitting at it's base just on the other side.

  • “Oh, well I’m sure she can find us pretty easily.” Dorje says, standing up to his feet and glancing down at her before looking back towards the branch, “As long as she can look up of course.” He goes on before making his way to the tree. Noticing that someone else had climbed onto another branch he moved for a slightly higher up one of the opposite side not wanting to disturb them. He makes a leap forward using wind to propel his jump higher so he can grab onto the branch and swing on up, he sturdies himself on it exerting some force to see if it’ll snap before he sits. He’d rather him break It then get her on only to have it break and her her hurt. He could safely break his fall and though he was sure he’d be able to do the same for her he didn’t want to risk it. He reached a hand towards her practically dangling off the edge of the branch so he’d be within grabbing distance if she were close. He had to grip the tree branch with his other hand to make sure he didn’t topple over. “It’s not to high up, you won’t fall. I promise.” He nods his head honestly and eagerly.

“Har Har” Misao said in response to his jab before putting a hand beneath her chin “I could totally make it work though. Didn’t get scared at all just a very out there technique, yep.” She shrugs her shoulders. Practically grinning from ear to ear “Well yeah! But honestly I think Avatar Kyoshi was some sort of masochist or something. Cause why else would we put ourselves through this torment.” Though she had adjusted to the heat after a long while, the sun beating down on her was relentless. Especially on a day like today. “But that’s the sacrafice you have to make for being the best of the best.” She brushes back her hair before going on. “So what have you been up to eh? Hopefully not causing any trouble, don’t want to assist in a crime here, gotta reputation to mantain.”

  • Ming mentally slapped herself when she realized that he had meant climbing the tree the entire time. She watched as he easily made his way up the tree. Pfft...airbenders... She thought with a huff. They make everything look so easy. It's not fair. Not only was she not an airbender but there were no trees in the North Pole, so there was no way for her to practice tree climbing. When he offered his hand to help her up she was slightly taken aback. She was not expecting that, but she did appreciate it. There was no way she was going to make it up that tree by herself. She did not even know where to start. She contemplated the offer a bit more before reaching up to grab his hand. "I better not fall..." She said with a nervous chuckle. "It is not going to end well for the both of us if I do."

  • Iyashi let out a shocked laugh. "You learned all that from some scrolls? I've been wasting my time out physically training, I should have been in a library." She whistled, amazement still evident in her body language. "Well Dragon, what's your actual name, I should like to what the best firebender in the whole kingdom in name." An itch to challenge the performer to a duel made itself known in Iyashi's mind. She had never met someone who was even close to on par with her skill, and now here this girl was, who might even be better than her. It almost felt like someone was pulling a prank on her. She had been training for years, and this female had learned how to produce blue fire from reading scrolls, but no, it wasn't fair to pin her anger on the performer, it only meant that she had to work harder.

"Oh of course, I have evidence to back that up. You would not believe some of the things Avatar Kyoshi did," Jian looked from side to side as if checking for other nearing people, "I heard he even contemplated adding more layers to the uniform," He leaned in to stage whisper. "Oh, you know, I've been living the high life," Jian stated airily, hands waving about he spoke, "Me? Cause trouble? Never, but a guy has gotta do what he's gotta do to survive you know? Enough about me though, who are you?" Jian asked, "I feel like I should know you."

  • Azura began to sweat under her mask. "Im called Pheonix, actually." She gave a small smile. "It's because of a trick I learned from another master. I can form my flames into the shape of a bird." She couldn't tell this girl her real name. Of she alerted anyone, she'd be thrown in jail faster than you can yell 'fire cakes'. "And I-Im not the greatest. I hear there is an Avatar in the fire kingdom. He or she is truely the greatest."

Kyung watched the two climb into the tree, the Airbender with easy and the woman from the water tribe with difficulty. "I'll give you two love birds this tree." He gave his most genuine, fake smile as he began to climb back down.
