  • ✧・゚: * Though only halfway through her kithood, Firekit was ready to become an apprentice. Sitting around in camp for days on end with only a few games to play was no fun, especially under the watchful eyes of Brightcreek and Maplefall to assure themselves that she and Foxkit didn't cause any trouble. Yet, the kitten longed to explore the territory, to hunt, to train in the battle grounds with the other warriors and apprentices. Yet here she was, curled up in her family's little nest in the nursery, with only a game of mossball to look forward to later, if anyone even wanted to play with her.

The young she-kit stood and shook out her thick pelt to clear away the moss and grass that might cling to her ginger fur after a long night's rest. It was early in the morning, usually the time where the apprentices and their mentors would head out for morning patrols or training. Firekit liked to watch them, pretending that at any moment, her own mentor would call for her, ready to go do something exciting. "Firepaw," she could practically hear it now. "Today we will be hunting rabbits on the moors." Oh, that glorious day could not come soon enough! The kitten bounced on her paws as she sat outside of the nursery, big amber eyes beholding the camp in wonder. Maybe today, something exciting would happen.

  • RABBITKIT

Rabbitkit was sooo happy to have another kit to play with! She always believed that you could never have too many friends. Bouncing over to Firekit, she said, "Firekit, Firekit! Do you wanna play?! Wanna go explore?! Let's do something fun!"

  • ✧・゚: * Firekit's ears perked when she heard her name being called. Her coppery eyes caught sight of Rabbitkit moseying her way over in an excitable manner. The she-kit pushed herself to her paws, wobbling on them a bit unsurely for a moment. "Sure, what should we do?" the kitten asked as her eyes now scanned the camp for an activity. There was mossball but she played that nearly every day. Spotting a warrior come out of his den and stretch his jaws in a big yawn, an idea sprang into her mind.

"Hey, wanna go see what's in the warrior's den?" she asked. She hadn't dared to venture inside, though she had peered into the apprentices' den once.

  • RABBITKIT

Rabbitkit snickered and said, "Why would you wanna do that? You can pretty much see it from over here. And when you get closer, all you can see are a bunch of sleeping spots in the grass. I wanna go explore the leader's den! It looks like it would be sooo spooky in that rock, especially since he never really sleeps in there! We'd be solving the mystery of what it looks like ont he inside!"

(Windclan only has 2 dens, the Nursery and the leader's den, though even the leader pretty much never sleeps there. everyone else just sleeps out in the open. hope this helps.)

  • ✧・゚: * Firekit frowned a little when Rabbitkit snickered at her idea. She had wanted to go ask the warriors what their lives were like and maybe she could hear some good stories, too. She knew the elders were supposed to be the gifted storytellers, but most of them were grumpy or they smelled bad. She didn't like visiting them. The warriors, on the other paw, were full of life and were usually very welcoming of kits, she had found. However, as soon as Rabbitkit brought up visiting the leaders' den, Firekit quickly forgot that her denmate had just laughed at her previous idea.

"That sounds a lot better," she replied, ears perked in excitement. "Come on, let's go. And let's hope Jasperstar didn't decide to take a nap in there for once," she said. Without waiting for Rabbitkit to take the initiative, the red tabby swished her tail for the other kitten to follow and began cautiously approaching the rock. She glanced around to make sure none of the warriors -- her parents especially -- were watching. So far, so good. Would they even care that she and Rabbitkit were going to explore the relatively vacant leaders' den anyways? She hoped not. If they did, then that proved that there was something mysterious going on in there. Maybe Dark Forest cats were haunting it!

(Ahh thanks, I always forget about that in WC)

  • RABBITKIT

Rabbitkit mewed in excitement and hurried after Firekit. They were going on an adventure! In camp, yes, but still, an adventure! It was so exciting to think about what they might find in there! Would they find a secret stash of fresh-kill? Or a monster? Or maybe a secret tunnel? Rabbitkit couldn't wait to find out!

the sound of voices groggily brought the male back to life, and half listening, his brain would slowly put some pieces together that rabbitkit was going somewhere with firekit. an adventure of sorts? his lips would curl back as he resisted the urge to yawn, grudgingly awaking himself up. he was hesitant to play mother hen to the kittens, or to anybody for that matter, but there was no telling what they were up to. having fun, are you? he'd rumble calmly from behind them.

  • she had been sunning herself outside of the nursery, napping within the new-leaf sun with the belief that rabbitkit was napping inside herself. the silver tabby felt a disturbance but only shifted around a little bit, covering her nose with her tail to keep it from getting trampled on. brightmoon kept her eyes close, although she knew her daughter and firekit had escaped the makeshift den to play within windclan's camp, purring she drifted back to sleep. trusting that her daughter could do no wrong and that firekit was a great influence.

  • RABBITKIT

Rabbitkit heard Morningfrost and turned to him, grinning, as she said, "Yeah, we're going on an adventure." She was trying to stay quite so that her mom, Brightmoon, could get some sleep. She was always worrying over Rabbitkit and it made her feel bad. Her mom needed a break. That was part of the reason she was so glad to have Firekit to play with now. They could play so that her mom could get some rest!

morn wasn't quite as trustful as brightmoon, nor as relaxed. he was the fretful type, that was for sure. he'd vaguely glance in the nursery's direction, and make a humming sound of agreement. i see that- may i come along?

  • RABBITKIT

Rabbitkit frowned and replied thoughtfully, "Well, I'd have to ask Firekit. And I'm not sure how sneaky you would be since you're so big. So I'm not sure." Turning to Firekit, she asked, "What do you think?"
