  • He had been tasked to partner up with Ella and plan a party together. They had decided on a medieval theme in due time and had quickly set to work. They had quickly mass-produced a series of formal invitations set on ornate gold paper and distributed to the rest of the clan with the help of NPC messengers. The party itself was located on cloud forest island, chosen for its scenic setting and its relative seclusion from the hustle and bustle of clan life.

Nearby trees were decorated with fairy-lights and paper streamers. There was a long wooden table hosting assorted foods: a wild boar with an apple stuffed in its mouth, a few pies (some containing meat, others fruit), and large pitchers of red juice or wine. There were even roasted chickens and plates of legs of mutton. All things they vaguely thought were probably consumed during medieval times.

Guests could dress up if they were inclined. Piedpiper had opted for a green party hat. Not very medieval, but very festive, he thought.

  • Canoris hadn't dressed up, she didn't have anything to dress up in and clothing wasn't her favorite thing in the world. "Hi Piper!" She said, feeling genuinely happy that she had caught the large fox before a huge crowd of people came around. "Those invitations we're awesome, you really went all out." it really was a wonderful setup, and the food was making her mouth water. "Is that chicken? I've never had chicken.. when can we dig in?" she was feeling happier today than she had in a long time. Maybe was the food, or something else, but Canoris wasn't going to question it. Feelings likr this were few and far between lately. She was going to enjoy it.

Fortunekit had received an invitation and had been excited to find it in his small little mailbox. It was beautiful, and he had been preparing for it, trying to find the perfect outfit to wear to it. He had been digging through costume boxes and closets, asking NPC's if he could borrow clothing, and finally, he had been satisfied with what he found.

The kit had a small crown on his head, pinned against his fur so that it wouldn't fall off. He'd always wanted to be a prince, and so that's what his costume had been based around. He had a purple cape tied around his neck, and cute little boots on his feet. Fortunekit had tried to research his costume beforehand, and he had read that purple was a royal color. Finally, he had a toy sword in a scabbard on his belt, and though it was a toy, he had been treating it as if it were real.

Fortunekit walked over to where Piedpiper and Canoris were, a huge grin on his face. He was excited to start the party! "Hi!" He exclaimed, looking around to see if anyone else was there yet. He wanted to see what Charlotte was dressed up as!

    BATHED IN GOLD!

  • He didn't see the hostess; she was probably in another corner of the party. But Piedpiper was glad to greet the first guests: Canoris and Fortunekit. "Hey, you two, welcome." He was pleased by their excitement; it made him feel like the party was successful. "Yeah, that's chicken. Go ahead, help yourself." He had ate a handful of chickens back in his loner days. For a time, he and his mother had lived close to a human farm. "You look great, by the way," the Paladin Trainee added, appreciating how Fortunekit had gone all out on his costume.

  • Being so young, Leo couldn't read so the invitation had flown over his head. However, the gathering of creatures there hadn't and the little cub waddled over, his pale eyes curious as they roamed over the display. It didn't take much to deduce what it was. "A party!" he squeaked. "Can we eat now?"

Espresso chuckled, making his way past the little ones and over to Piedpiper. He dipped his head in greeting to his clanmate, his tail flicking behind him. "You've done quite well here! Shame I didn't have much of a costume to put on." Like the vulpine he only had a baby blue party hat on which sat awkwardly between his large ears. He chuckled as he watched the younger members scamper for the food, although he couldn't blame them, the food looked amazing.

The invitation had been a bit of a shock, she hadn't been to a costume party in.. probably forever. She decided she might as well do something, so she just threw on a sort of weird little hat and called it a day. She wasn't even all that sure it was medieval, and eventually just switched it out for a little party hat. Oh well. She made her way over with a smile, her eyes sweeping over the scene, laughing slightly at the excited kit. "Looks great, Piper." she grinned.

  • ★ ★ ★ parties were a new concept to the foreign newcomer. it was new, it was exciting, and the joy was palpable in the air. curiosity had pulled them forth ever since they'd received that golden-clad invitation, and now they stood before the decorations.

colorful streamers. twinkling lights and deliciously mouth watering food. the elaborately cooked pork. steam curled lazily from the food, drifting across those heartbreakingly, well-crafted pies. a few were gathered here so far.

fish had come, clad in but a single medieval robe-- or, what they suppose could be constituted for medieval, anyways. a coffee-hued, linen cloak hovered over their form, the inside of the fabric lined with soft ivory wool. not like they'd get to feel the wool anyways. they were, as always, concealed within that churning water bubble of theirs, air burbling forth from their mouth as air pockets drifted placcidly to the surface. such a party would give them an ideal setting to connect with others and brush up on their social skill.

this was a very much new experience. it looked appealing. very much so. if all parties were like this, fish wouldn't mind attending each and every one of them.

'you outdid yourself.' the fish hummed through the connection of mind, drifting forward to hungrily eye a bowl of peas. just the right type of food, at the right type of size. perhaps if they were feeling a little more adventurous later, they could try out the other types of delicacies and break it down to ideal size.

    "Speech."

    FROM WHIMPER TO BANG

  • when the invitation came, euryale had been thrilled. there was something special about it, she had thought, about the letter, written on elaborate paper the colour of gold. even more special was the theme: medieval. euryale had decided not upon an outfit suited for royalty, as a sister or two of hers would no doubt be inclined towards, but an outfit that was part doctor, part witch - witch-doctor.

the hybrid donned the mask of a plague doctor - not of leather, but of a simple, black material, with glass circles for eyes and a beak for a nose - a pointed, lengthy beak that curved downwards like that of a bird of prey. a flimsy little overcoat was draped over her slender body in a manner almost careless, its fabric not fabric at all but thin, black paper haphazardly taped together until it resembled some sort of garment.

instead of the customary, wide-brimmed hat a real plague doctor would wear, euryale wore a witch's hat. unlike the rest of her costume, it was quite authentic in appearance; it was crafted not from cheap fabric or paper but of black leather, a leather that looked as though it had seen better days. euryale had meticulously concealed most of the faults, stitching tears in the material back together and covering the larger holes with patches. she really was quite proud of it.

the child arrived at the party now, peering round to marvel at the beauty of the setting. a pale mist shrouded her surroundings, but through it she could see the canopy, lush and viridescent above their heads. the murmur that ran almost parallel to the silence was one of life, of vitality, despite the lack of activity compared to the enchanted woodlands.

"so pretty!" euryale chirped. an enthusiastic flutter of her filmy wings accompanied the words, as if she had been about to take flight but had decided against it. she half-hopped, half-hovered towards the food, swiping her small, grey tongue over her maw as she deliberated on her choice of food. finally, she settled on a small fruit pie, biting down with sharp, serrated teeth.

Ella had been out of the visible line of sight doing some flower decorating when she realized the guests had arrived. To be honest, there were some flower scattered around the place. It wasn't unusual being she was quite the gardener and flowers were more popular during that time. More popular then the artificial ones anyway.

Smiling faintly as she approached, she didn't bother to correct anyone. After all, she had been tucked away so they didn't see her. Not only that, but Piper had been quite the help in getting this arranged. With that said, the feline simply sat down looking at all the guests arriving. She herself didn't sport a costume like the others. Instead she had her blue flower crown which she was sure was festive enough for her.

"Welcome! Feel free to enjoy yourselves," she greeted feeling a bit nervous. She had never hosted a party before. She was lucky to have such a great helper with the theme and making of it. Other then that though she wasn't quite sure what to do as a hostess. So, for now she simply smiled and greeted everyone.

  • Piedpiper smiled at the younger Targaryen, endeared by his innocent, immediate interest in the food. "Of course," he bowed his head slightly. "Go ahead, help yourself." Smiling at the others, who were all so generous with their compliments, the Paladin smiled modestly. "Thanks for the kind words, it really means a lot you guys." Party planning really wasn't his thing, but he had actually had more fun than he had expected to. "Hey you," his eyebrows lifted when his pink eyes fell on his fellow party hostess, Ella, as she approached. "You didn't dress up?"

  • Leo didn't need encouragement to chow down. The cub crawled onto a table and tucked himself happily into a roast chicken--it was delicious! Much different from the other fresh-kill that he'd been eating here and before his time in BlizzardClan.
