  • Eva could tell that he was angry, and by all means he had every right to be.

She wasnโ€™t looking forward to her telling off.

But upon hearing that he had a fever, her worries instincts kicked in and she went to place her hand onto his head, only to find that the wires were restricting her movements.

A soft sigh left her lips.

    God she had missed him.

  • The male had noticed her actions and raised an eyebrow slightly in the process. Was.. She trying to check his temperature? With that, he gently picked up her hand and moved forwards to it could be placed on his head. "See? No fever. I wouldn't have risked coming here as I am now if I did have one."

Soon after, he gently lowered her hand as he moved back to sit down and realised what he had done and sighed. "You sure do worry a lot."

  • Eva laughed nervously along with a little nod.

    โ€œI do.โ€

She then thought back to the whole few weeks where she didnโ€™t hear anything from Haru, and how anxious she had been, most of the times, making herself sick.

She wiped her nose lightly again.

    She wanted to forget that.

    She needed to.

It was rotting her inside out.

She lifted up a petite hand and wiped her face with a quiet sigh.

  • Eva was brought out of her thoughts, looking up to Haru.

"N-No, Sorry, was just thinking to myself."

Looking up at Haru, she could see evident bags under his eyes.

They really had been working him to the core.

  • It had been a few days since Eva had gotten out of hospital.

Much like what was anticipated, she didnโ€™t return to school straight away.

She had also been taken off medication and instead was having counselling.

During the few days she was at home, she didnโ€™t have the heart to message anyone, including Haru.

She was too ashamed of herself.

But after thinking it over in her head for a few hours, she found herself sitting on her bed, Bluโ€™s head in her lap, with her fingers hovering over her phone screen.

She wanted to talk to Haru, but how would she start?

  • Whether or not she'd ever message was something on that male's mind for the past few days itself. He was not only irritated, but also concerned since she was a vulnerable human being during this point of time.

But he was patient. And that was important.

However, he merely dismissed the reasoning for those means of concern and instead focused on his work, and returning to the school for additional work that had always been piled onto him.

And after a day of this being the norm, the male had driven back home and wandered the kitchen as he was getting himself a drink, glancing at his phone to see if any new notifications had arrived during his meeting.

    None.

    Of course.

  • With shaking hands, Eva typed a message into her phone, sending it quickly.

    "You around?"

She needed to talk to him, to explain.

She couldn't bare to imagine how he must have felt when he found her under the tree.

The doctors had told her about the state they found him in, which made her heart break a little more.

Part of her wanted to hide out of her feeling ashamed.

But another part seemed to crave for his company.

    But...Why?

  • The male paused, looking at his phone as the message was sent in. And ti didn't take long until he placed the cup down and used his dominant hand to type.

"Yeah. Need to talk? Cause I think you do." He wrote.

Despite the slight anger and irritant behaviour , the male also felt a slight sense of relief.. At least she was messaging now.. Instead of never replying.

  • Eva looked down to the message with a slightly feeling of anxiety.

With a large sigh, she feel back onto her bed and lifted her phone above her head, looking at the message once again.

With a few seconds of hesitance, she typed a reply.

"I get the feeling that you have a few things you need to get off your chest."

She left it at that, dropping her hand to her side.

  • "Maybe. But I think a good conversation with an explanation might help first." The male replied.

He noticed his brother had just gotten back and before long, the male was grabbing his coat after finishing his drink.

    "Where're you going brat?"

    "Out."

And with that, the male slammed the door as he left. Textign as he did.

"Local car park down the road from the school. ASAP."

  • Upon seeing the message, Eva pulled herself from her bed and walked down the stairs.

She grabbed her coat, throwing it over her shoulders and left the house, telling her parents where she was going.

With heavy hesitance, they let her go.

It only took her a few minutes to get to the park.

She saw a lone figure on a bench.

  • The male there glanced up from his phone, seeing the female as she was entering the park. And soon enough, he himself stood and wandered over to her direction until they were finally face to face.

The man seemed tired.. Overworked.. And most definitely not in the best shape, but better than what he had been beforehand.

He almost felt better to see the girl there.

Despite the amount of grief he felt.

"Sorry 'bout calling you out here suddenly. Couldn't be bothered to leave it till later." He stated. "Wanna come join on the bench?"

  • Eva could see that Haru was tired. Overworked even.

With a gentle nod, she accompanied him to the bench, taking a seat next to Haru.

Her eyes were focused on her pale hands.

Despite being out of the hospital for a couple days, she was still rather weak.

Her fingers fiddled with each other nervously.

The suspense of what Haru was going to say was killing her.

  • "Why didn't you call."

    .......

"Why didn't you send a text."

    ............

"I know I don't usually seem to care often but damn it, don't I seem the least bit trust-worthy to you? I worked and worked, but I tried to check. Just in case you got in some trouble and as someone who gets along with you, help you out.

It was easily able to be sorted.. And helped. But you didn't do a god-damn thing to lettme know."

He paused as he looked at his own hands this time before looking up at the sky.

    "It was f*cking interring."
