  • IT’S A DEFECT IN MY CORE —

Per usual, the direwolf kept to himself. He wasn't exactly agoraphobic but her preferred to be alone for the most part. Of course, this was't to say he avoided social interaction every chance he could, Macushla did have dear friends but the number was few and he preferred to keep it that way. After all, those friends have stuck to his side since his younger years and accepted him for what he was. What more could he ask? And of course, making new acquaintances called for follow ups and a lot of commitment, it didn't pay off for Macushla and so, he didn't bother to make deep connections with his clanmates. Then again, he had to keep in mind the fact that he was most likely going to leave this group after his kill, he never stuck to one place for too long; everything got dull for him.

And that was what brought him to this corner of the earth. The clan-ridden lands were scorned by him once upon a time considering their inconsistency and no real sense of justice, but desperation caused by boredom drove him here to seek out new experiences and situations. Now, he couldn't complain and he was going to try his hardest to eke whatever he could from these lands. And of course, that started with information gathering. It was almost killing two birds with one stone since his potential target happened to be the leader and who knew the other clans better than a long time leader of one of the largest groups? And thus began the vetting process, he'll have to decide if the suggested target actually deserved to die as well. With that said, this situation brought Macushla into the vicinity of the high positions meeting place, he was told that Aleksei might be hanging around there.

Aleksei had finished up talking with some others and was about to head home to check on the kids. However, a new presence in the area caused him to pause. Something else? Hopefully it wasn't bad and he could handle it quickly.

"You need something?" Aleksei inquired as he approached the direwolf. He didn't recognize Macushla, so this must be a newcomer to BlizzardClan.

Lazy streams of smoke curled from his jaws following a cough as his pale gaze searched about for the creature he was looking for. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long but he wouldn't count on it. Leaders, or any political figure for that matter, were busy creatures, he assumed they slept late and woke early to attend their duties even if there is no action or trouble at the time. There's always situations to handle internally whether they were stupid or trivial. But that was what an ideal leader was like and Macushla was very aware that there were plenty of leaders that were miles away from being ideal, the Shadow Veil buffoon already proved themselves to be one of those unfortunate ones. He wondered how the male had not been usurped.

He snapped out of his mini reverie once the odd figure came into view. A furred dragon with a very distinct bone plated face and a single bright blue eye. The direwolf was sure that he has never encountered a creature like this Blizzardclanner before but something seemed vaguely familiar about them. He couldn't place his paw on it though and he brushed the thought aside, he had work to do after all. "Yeah," the canine spoke pleasantly enough, offering them a slight bow of his head as a gesture of respect, "I wanted to ask about Blizzardclan's status towards other clans because I plan to visit some of them." He paused before adding, "I'm new to this area, and clan life in general, so I'm not very aware of the unreputable clans or the ones that we are not friendly with. If possible could you elaborate on a few that I should avoid?" Of course, this was all information he could ask any other high position but as a data freak, he wanted the explanations behind everything. He highly doubted the other high positions knew all information he wanted to know. "Oh, and my name's Macushla. It's a pleasure to meet you, Aleksei."

The inquiry from Macushla was rather simple and easy to fulfill enough on Aleksei's end. He confirmed Aleksei's assumptions that the direwolf was not from these parts with the words spoken. "Pleasure," Aleksei returned evenly towards Macushla, giving a small return nod of greeting.

"Well, BlizzardClan are currently enemies with the Blackheart Rogues, the Exiles, the Cartel, and the Thunderlands, though we have neutrality agreements currently with the Cartel and Thunderlands," Aleksei began. It was a complicated situation, but Aleksei was unwilling to drop some of the groups to true neutrals because of their policies and histories. "We're not on good terms with the Shadow Veil either right now, as you've seen." He was pretty sure he didn't have to explain the Shadow Veil situation, since Macushla had been there when Soundcheck was being a real ass.

"The Blackhearts are led by a pedophile and harbor a rapist. Their 'laws' basically give their members the freedom to do anything and though they say it's limited to 'bad' people, their ass of a leader doesn't do shit when they attack innocents," the BlizzardClan leader returned. He sure got wordy when talking shit about things he didn't like. "The Exiles have been general cunts for the past couple of years. There's just too much shit to pin on them for me to explain." There was a pause before he went to the last two groups. "The Cartel ran a sex-slave ring and broke neutrality agreements a couple of times. Not to mention, they have a history of sexual harassment and rapists. They've cleaned up their acts since, but they still have their issues, like peddling drugs. The Thunderlands was originally led by an idiot who thought that it was fine to lie to us to get an alliance. After one of their members killed a BlizzardClanner, they refused to honor an agreement to exile the murderer."

    "Anything else?"

Hah. The shakey Shadow Veil situation was very apparent. He honestly couldn't wrap his head around the idea of some inept creature somehow keeping a position of power in any sort of group. Did the other members not care? Or were they just as dumb? Whatever, the case was, Macushla already made up his mind to not drop by their lands. He couldn't stand incompetency.

But aside from that, the four other groups mentioned were pretty fucked. Aleksei seemed to have a checklist of shit each of them did wrong and the direwolf couldn't help but feel mildly amused, though of course he hid it behind his usual stony expression. However, what he did learn was that Blizzardclan stood on the moral side of things, at least from he's heard. The enemy clans were either down right disgusting or cheats, both of which he hated very much. After all, it was his life's purpose to rid the world of evildoers. Of course, it was an impossible task, but at the end of the day, he was happy with his little progress and the thought that there will be one less victim. That was all that mattered.

"How come the clans haven't done anything about the Blackheart Rogues?" He then queried, that group did seem like they could only do wrong considering that their own members don't even follow a code. And of course, the pedophilia and rape part of the equation was just not okay. Were the other clans fine with such a disgusting creature leading a group? Were the members of the clan worshiping said creature and the actions they took? In all honesty, it was as if everyone who was not doing anything against the pedophile was supporting the idea of child abuse through their inaction. Same goes for the rapist. It all rubbed him the wrong way.

"Because most of them clam up at the mention of touchy topics like this--it's as if ignoring the issue will make it go away," Aleksei answered. The thing was that it didn't--it never did and it only let the criminals continue their acts. He'd been rather disgusted to know that some groups were on friendly relations with the Blackheart Rogues, despite all the shit they've done.

"They don't care unless you shove it in their faces and even sometimes they deny it..." he added, recalling how long the Cartel had foundered about with their issue. That had infuriated him. "You're gonna find many people in the Clanlands downright ignorant or just plain dumb. Just like the Shadow Veil leader you saw."
