  • Warrior's Leap. Two massive boulders where cats could amuse themselves by trying to jump the distance. Among the apprentices, it was something of an achievement to leap the gap: they generally weren't as big as warriors, offering an added challenge to an already difficult jump. Too many 'paws had limped away with fractured bones. Robinpaw had never been one of them, for the simple reason that he'd never attempted the jump.

The marbled red tabby still remembered his first day by the stones. He'd come with his sister, recently after the two of them had becomes apprentices. Emberpaw had challenged him to jump, but he'd been too scared. Robinpaw might have had their parents' large, muscular physique, but he didn't think he was quite large enough to get over the gap. Instead, the boy had watched Emberpaw try, and then had supported her as she made her way to the medicine cat, paw neatly snapped.

This time, as he climbed the familiar boulder, Emberpaw wasn't at his side. She hadn't been for nearly a moon, since she'd abandoned DarkClan for the city. The betrayal still stung, but what could he do about it? Their father had been determined to bring her back, but when Vipertooth had emerged from the city, he was bleeding heavily from a poorly ended fight with a pair of dogs, and no news of his daughter. If Vipertooth couldn't do it, Robinpaw wasn't even going to try.

Making his way to the top of the stone, the massive apprentice cautiously peered over the edge. The drop still turned his stomach, and he quickly pulled his head back, nausea rising in his throat. Ugh. To think that cats actually did this.

  • Beanpaw✧

Beanpaw's ears twitched when he heard the clacking of claws on stone. Was someone else here?

The light-furred tom had come to Warrior's Leap earlier to practice his jumping. He had strong legs, which unfortunately was his only advantage in training to be warrior. Besides his keen nose, though that was much better for differentiating scents. Standing on the upper of the two boulders, he fluffed his pelt out. He'd finally made the jump after what felt like moons of practice. He'd be sure to show Hyenapawsome other time.

Peeking a grey head out, the apprentice caught sight of Robinpaw. Oh! That was the ginger tabby who had a sister named Emberpaw. Beanpaw didn't pry, but he knew of their rocky past, leading to his denmate being very weary and cautious.

"Robinpaw?" he mewed aloud, blinking his blue eyes curiously.

    LILYSTAR

    cursed darkclan leader ⍟ tags

//sorry this took some time to get to!! i love ur writing hng

Vipertooth, returning with a bloodied pelt and eyes that spoke of defeat. Another soul lost to the deep trenches of Bloodclan. She understands Robinpaws parents pain, losing a child to Bloodclan. To have to face them in battle .... she wishes it on no one, especially not an apprentice. He approaches the warriors leap, he's hesitant. Beanpaw comes up close to him and Lilystar approaches on the other side.

"Are you going to have a go?" She asks kindly, remembering when Clovershade and she had attempted the leap. She had almost fallen.

    ✿ MERCYPAW ✿

Mercypaw blinked, wide eyed from her position down below. Neck craned to peer up at the red male as he prepared to leap, she shivered nervously. Despite being one of the smallest near-warriors in the clan, Mery wasn't really scared of anything. But she had a healthy amount of caution when it came to jumping from dangerous places. Still, she wasn't one to let negative feelings consume her, so as she padded up she retained her usual bright smile. Pressing against Lilystar, the kitten-sized blue tabby princess called, "Ta-ake your t-time if yo-ou need t-to! I b-believe in y-you!"

  • Cherrymound had no understanding of what this place was or why they were encouraging him to leap to his death.

“And if he breaks something? He’ll have to be carried or supported back to camp-“ She almost adds ‘and I’ll have to treat him’ - but snaps her jaws shut. She wasn’t Healer anymore. She was placed on a warrior’s path.
